Azzaro Chrome EDT - A simple masterpiece. Presentation & Features: Very cool box Nice puff atomizer. Simple bottle design. Scent Profile/ Thoughts: Azzaro Chrome, a timeless scent. This was my first fragrance that I got for 21 dollars, in the fragrance section picking out my first scent. Mind you, I was buying this with 0 knowledge of fragrance, notes, or smell at the time. 0. And i picked out a masterpiece. This is easily the best fresh fragrance along with Versace Pour Homme ever. Chrome opens up with a very shower gel, masculine, and pineapple scent with loads of citrus. It settles down into a peaceful, woody, aquatic, masculine, and simple mass appealing smell; one that is impossible for someone to not like. It is the absolute best shower-like clean smell if you just want to smell nice. Mind you, this is a scent released in 1996, and this appeals to me now, and im not even the target audience, I wasnt even close to born when this fragrance came out. And boy is it timeless. I find this scent also very similar to Louis Vuitton Imagination, not exact, but I get hints of the same citrus smell that Imagination (a 325 dollar fragrance) has. Performance: Longevity: [4-6 hours] Projection: Pretty moderate. Most fresh fragrances don't really explode a room or get smelled across the room; more like at arms length. Blind Buy Safe? Yes. This is a very easily wearable fragrance, one you cannot simply not like. There's not much else to say. When to Wear: Summer. Because this is a fresh shower scent, this fragrance booms in the summer. The heat radiates the freshness and will have you smelling aquatic and clean. Value & Verdict: On retail, a 3.4oz bottle of Chrome EDT will run you...110 dollars. NEVER BUY THIS FRAGRANCE RETAIL!! You can find it Ross and Burlington so very easily for 40 dollars for a 3.4oz bottle, and 21 dollars for a 1 oz. Very cheap at discounters, and you should only get this fragrance at discounters. Final Rating: [9/10] Freshness, ocean, citrus, masterpiece all in a bottle. My favorite cologne ever.

I have been aware of Chrome for many years but it was so different from my vintage choice of fragrances (like Aramis, Halston, Quorum or even Obsession) that I tended to ignore it. Now that I've expanded my fragrance collection to include many fresh or even aquatic fragrances, I thought I'd give it a shot. I get no perceptible citrus at all ... just a hint of rosemary and maybe jasmine but it basically is a metallic, musky and VERY SOAPY fragrance ... at least on me. I will occasionally wear it ... but definitely not when going out and being all dressed up. I keep trying to wear it more and keep giving it time to grow on me. It can give off a nice, clean soapy scent after my shower ... and in that instance it has grown on me ... but just a little. I'm a little jealous at all those who perceive a beautiful citrus with pineapple scent in the opening and simply a nice fresh scent in the dry down. For me ... it's just Ivory soap scent. Recently I tried laying it with just 1 spray of Issey Miyake L'eau disey pour homme ... SUCCESS! It gave me that citrus jolt that I was missing then combined nicely with the other notes in Chrome.

It's all been said already - Chrome is fresh, clean, pleasing fragrance. It lasts, and women LOVE it. Fragrance snobs say Chrome is linear (so what!), it only means that it smells the same the first hour as it does 6 hours after you spray. Again the name of the game is "smelling good." Chrome is the only fragrance I bought a second bottle of because I wore it so often. I first began wearing it to the gym, indeed it gives you the second wind between sets. Then it trickled into other daily facets and became an "easy reach" fragrance for any occasion. At the time I wore it most I went to ballroom dance classes and spritzed it a bit. It never disappointed, always pleased me and my dance partners. Finally, my wife had noted it when we first met. From then on it's her favorite, despite all others she smelled in my collection. It perplexes me that she prefers this over Creed Aventus or even Acqua di Gio. In conclusion, don't hesitate and get this one. I promise it will create some good memories in your life! It won't starve your wallet and it will leave you and others around you pleased with your new scent bubble.

Chrome is about gentle yet strong generational masculinity. Chrome has stood the test of time, and it calls to a man that is ready to take on the tests of life and pass them with grace and determination. Chrome is versatile enough for going to work or going on adventures. Chrome’s citrus and synthetic aspect puts a bit of pep in your step and makes you stand up a bit taller. It reminds you that you’re a resourceful modern man. The fantastic woody dry down encourages you to own your place at the helm of the ship, ready and able to overcome whatever lies ahead. While the aquatic and ozonic notes bade you to look forward at where you want to go in life, planning your way accordingly. The unofficial name for this OG should be Chrome Legacy. This is for the man that lives not only for today, but also for the numerous lives that will be strengthened by his legacy. The synthetic aspect may be too much for some sensitive folks, myself included. This can be diminished by taking care to how and where it is applied, using less, and layering (pairs well with Chrome Pure).

Despite having the Extreme, edp, & parfum flankers, I still reach for the original at least once a week during the hot summer months. There's a reason why this has remained in production since 1996, it just works so well on many levels. Even in today's market, this fragrance still smells good. When it first came out, it was definitely unique and different. Despite it's age, Chrome doesn't come off as dated, and I have even gotten a handful of compliments from women when I wear this. For a 90's style citrus aromatic, it still performs very well for me. Even in the high heat outside, I typically push about 8 hours of performance, which is solid for this type of fragrance. This will also project well and leave a solid sillage trail for the first 2-3 hours. This will always be in my collection, and there's a reason why I have been through 2 bottles. If this ever faces discontinuation, I'd go as far to make sure to buy a back-up 100ml bottle.

People sleep on Chrome, and I'm honestly shocked and don't understand why. It's such an amazingly fresh citrus; it has a powdery fresh note... a faint soft wood that you get only after the dry down. HOWEVER, Chrome is one of the only fragrances that does citrus to the extent that an hours later the citrus is still heavy. There are florals in here but not enough to lean too feminine—a deep bergamot, lemon... they say pineapple, but I don't pick that up (unless Creed just destroyed my nose for what pineapple should smell like, lol). I get roughly 3-5 hours with this (depending on what I'm doing). It's not my most complimented scent, but it's up there. I never go nose blind with it, and I LOVE LOVE how it smells on me all day. Don't sleep on the Chrome EDT—they have Chrome EDP, Chrome Parfum, and maybe even an elixir that I would enjoy getting my hands on :). You'll thank me later—blind buy safe.

I agree with SO MANY here who compliment this fragrance! A few years after Chrome was released in 1996 I bought a decent sized sample because of how incredible it smelled on a few who had worn it around me. Long story short-- on MY skin--I couldn't quite take the metallic note as it upset my stomach when I wore the fragrance. (But oddly NOT when I smelled it on others..... It subtly adds a certain "character" to the scent). Over the years I re-tried it multiple times hoping things would change, and eventually introduced it to my teenage son---who's now in his 20's and it's his default signature scent for spring and summer. I absolutely LOVE smelling it on him, as I've always felt the same way about the fragrance---It has this fresh well-balanced easy going European essence that instantly reminds me of the wonderful feelings of visiting there years before Chrome was even a thing!

Fresh, clean, soapy, perfect dumb reach clean scent. Old money type of smell, if you dress up or down, either in a light blue linen shirt or just a normal white t shirt this is for you. This is just an uplifting scent, if you want to smell fresh, clean and pure, buy this. I love this, and its cheap too, longevity is 6 hours tops with under average projection and sillage and dont expect compliments from stramgers. I had a 100ml bottle of this and then i got an 150ml spray on deodorant of this and it smells, projects and lasts exactly the same as the perfume in the bottle but its cheaper, under 15$ for 150ml which is great. Smell 10/10, longevity 6/10, projection&sillage 4/10, price 10/10. So overall 7.5/10. This is a must buy if you dont own a blue fragrance or you just need a versatile dumb reach every day scent. Good atomiser, nice sturdy cap and cool bottle too.

I've been using chrome since it came out, and every single year, I go out and buy a new bottle. Considering how many colognes I have, and tested, this is a testament (at least to me) on how good this scent is. If you want to feel cool, fresh and alive, then look no further, this is it. Very fresh, citric, touch of floral here, touch of musk there. Linear....sure, so what?. Last a long time on me, and there has been not one soul who doesn't like it. As a matter of fact, compliments are very high with this one. Inexpensive as it can be. Add everything I have said up, and ask yourself, why you have not bought it yet?. Don't believe the "Experts", they just hate when you smell good with a $25.00 bottle, and they have to have a $250.00 one, to smell the same. God have mercy on them!.

Azzaro Chrome is one of those fragrances that instantly captures what fresh is supposed to smell like. The opening bursts with crisp citrus and immediately gives off that clean invigorating vibe while the metallic essence runs through it like a cool breeze over water. It is simple but that is the charm. It does not try to be anything other than effortlessly fresh and uplifting. This was a staple in the 1990s and decades later it still hits just as hard. It is the kind of scent that is perfect after a shower when you want something that feels like pure cleanliness bottled up. Even with all the niche and complex compositions out there Chrome remains one of my absolute favorites for those fresh just stepped out of the shower moments. A true classic that has stood the test of time.

Possibly the ultimate dumb reach. Great for the gym and the office alike. This is the epitome of shower gel vibes in a good way. Not overly synthetic. Great performance. The worst you could call it is basic. Musky and Lemony with a woody base, masuline-leaning. Don't go looking for depth in this fragrance. I've used Dior Homme Cologne, Versace Pour Homme etc. Contemporary designer freshies are awesome but Azzaro Chrome is just an excellent value proposition comparatively. Given the affordable price and the high availability combined with the nice scent I'd absolutely recommend picking up a small bottle to try. Also, I've received a surprising amount of compliments wearing this. 8/10

Huge compliment getter, if that's what you're looking for. I received my first bottle of this 20 years ago, and the formulation has changed a bit (the sharp metallic vibe of the older bottles is diminished now, with the white floral, almost lily-like accord making a stronger showing), but it still feels refreshing to wear. It's fairly linear, but if you're generous with the sprays it actually lasts a while and projects a bit, and at that price you can afford to be generous with them. I have a lot of nostalgia tied up in this one, admittedly, but nothing else feels quite like it. Get a bottle while it's summer. You'll be glad you did.

Absolute pleasure to wear and smell. Azzaro Chrome is simple, it's reliable. Metallic, aquatic, green, a little salty. It's balanced, it performs well. It works, Azzaro knocked it out of the park as they usually do. The citrus opening is well done, citrus and green in the opening, a little metallic. Neroli seems to be most dominate of the florals. The dry down is musky, metallic and floral, too my nose. Very masculine scent, cannot imagine a woman wearing this. It's old school feeling, but not really dated. Can imagine this working for any age range for men, but seems most suited for 20s-30s. This is a masterpiece.

Really nice, aquatic, citrusy and fresh. Timeless scent that is relatively under the radar. Easy to find at discounters. A powerful blend of citruses, florals and it has a strong oceanic breeze. I dont feel this fragrance to be metallic... Maybe it's just my nose, but I'd say it's very sharp actually. Great for the summer, beach, gym etc. Its a bit generic so maybe not ideal for special events. Moderate duration and strong initial projection. If you like citrusy and strong oceanic scents, this is the classical standard of it. Sits honorably besides the likes of Light Blue and Acqua di Gio.

I wore this for around 10+ years from about 2005-2015 to work. Very safe, clean and invigorating. It was always a pick-me-up type of scent and you smelt clean and masculine. I recently got a small 50ml for nostalgia. Its smells almost the same, but there is no CHROME ! The metallic kick is gone and that is what made it masculine and invigorating. Without that clean metal , it is unisex almost feminine with the flower notes. Probably whatever was giving that amazing and unique scent was banned -- so sad all these reformulations..Its still a nice scent, I but I really miss the CHROME.

Ive wore this since it came out and out of my 30 plus frags this one still gets the most compliments, I remember wearing this in the 2000 and went to a stip club with a friend and one of the stippers couldn't stop smelling me while getting a lap dance she wanted to know what it was forward to last week I went into two different shops a two different women said wow you smell so good what are you wearing. its an oldie but a goldie. It's my wife's favourite out of all of my collection. bonus tip if you layer this with invuctus victory you will get even more compliments.

For me this is the best ever summer scent in a hot dry Med style climate. Just perfect, very CkOne-ish (perhaps my second favourite) and I guess very similar era-wise, but with that metallic edge (what from I always wonder, rosemary pineapple blend or what?) that pushes it into masculine territory. But so clean, so fresh, just summer vibes, without being aquatic particularly, or obviously faux tropical or even as clearly citrus as CkOne. Used to be dirt cheap to the extent you felt criminal, prices creeping up now, not sure why, but still worth it.

Still one of the most appealing spring/summer scents after all these years, it's just so pleasing and frankly smooth (I don't get any metallic harshness). It doesn't smell dated at all but at the same time it doesn't have much if any of that fuzzy (ultimately same-y) aroma or feeling that many of the most recent men's scents have going on. Due to the plethora of flankers and also the 'inspired by' fragrances this original may get lost in the wash but it's still worth checking out for a simple, fresh, clean & feel-good warm weather fragrance.

What needs to be said about Azzaro Chrome that already hasnt been said? It is THE best gym scent around, clean, fresh, non offensive fragrance. Will it get a ton of complements? No. Will everyone know you as the guy that always smells good? Yes. That is the difference, maybe not many complements, but certainly no complaints, and in some cases that is exactly what you would want. Like in a gym.... Get this if youre thinking about it, its masterfully made, and you can always reapply. The only thing holding this back is the longevity 9/10
