What a fool I’ve been... For not cherishing this while I had it. Now my bottle’s almost gone. 😿 It’s been around nearly 30 years (30!) and I just thought it’d never leave. Like, I didn’t even know it was discontinued? WHY? Gotta haunt fragrance graveyards and eBay listings ASAP. In my book, Eau Belle is the best goddamn summer freshie I’ve ever worn. This isn’t just another beach spritz. Not “fresh” like some overpriced cucumber mist. Not some synthetic grapefruit nightmare. It’s juiced-up, citrus-charged, summer-in-your-lungs relief. A cold-shower-in-a-heatwave kind of salvation. 🧊 Wear this on a hellishly hot day, when your skin’s about to boil off and your brain’s already fried, and it’ll revive you. Like AC on your soul. Yuzu, one of my absolute favorite notes, bursts in like citrus champagne — bright, sparkling, a little exotic. Not your limp lemonade-girl citrus. More like a lime in a dirty gin fizz. And then... peach, a glimmer of honey, softening it all like golden light hitting your collarbones. A little soft. A little warm. Just right. And here’s the kicker: there’s no spice listed, but she’s got bite. She’s got edge. A peppery-green snap, the kind that wakes you up and reminds you you’re still alive. It’s sharp without being sour. Sweet without being dumb. Clean without screaming “laundry.” 🌿💚 And that bottle? What a mood. A stack of bubbles, whoa. Looks like a cartoon potion and I adore it. Silly. Fun. Gorgeous. The glass itself has bubbles trapped inside like a time capsule of effervescence. It really stands out in my collection. No minimalist beige rectangle could ever compete. Don’t come at me with “basic” or “simple.” Eau Belle has depth, but it’s not trying to be anything. It just is. A perfectly balanced, stupidly affordable freshie with more personality than half the overpriced “sunlit bergamot” clones out there. If this dropped today under a niche label with a weird name, €240 price tag, and some artsy PR blurb, everyone would eat it up and beg for more. But instead, it quietly disappeared like it didn’t matter. But it mattered to me. This scent reminds me why I love perfume. Why I write. Why I keep chasing that moment when something touches your skin and makes you smile — every single time. What joy feels like. What summer should feel like. 🍾🫧💔 4.5/5 — sparkling white sangria in a bottle. Citrusy, cooling, criminally overlooked. She’s the perfume equivalent of that one ex you still miss but have to act like you’re over. She fizzed. She stunned. She vanished. And I’ll never move on. Eau Belle forever.

Lots of haters below, but I'm loving this little bubble bottle! I added Roberto Cavalli Paradiso to the "reminds me of" section. They have similar profiles (citrus + evergreen) but at this moment I actually like Eau Belle a little more - it has a warmth that Paradiso lacks, probably from the honey and amber in the base. For comparison to other "freshies", I recently sold my Versace Versense, and Gucci Bamboo also leaves me a little cold. However, I must love yuzu because I freaking adore Boucheron Place Vendome EDT, which has a prominent yuzu note at the opening, as does this. BUT! :: My love notes above are for the test I did on my pulse points. I just tested a little on my shirt and that smells very different. There, I do I pick up the cleaning product smell described by others. Also, it does not last long - of course. But it was worth a few dollars for the cute little bubble mini!

how come people are still buying this perfume. I live in Turkey and been asking to find this perfume for a long time and everybody says it is not produced anymore... can anybody point me as to where to buy it or the perfume is still produced legitamately. I have used this perfume in high school and still obsessing over it! I want it so bad :D

The very best scent for sweltering hot weather ever. The cedar and cypress really are bracing. It's not just a commercially attractive bottle, but one that reassures you that you'll soon have cooled off. I don't know if it's still being sold in stores, but it's still around online.

I first tried this perfume in the middle 90's and I still like it. In my opinion, the citrus,chypre and floral scents are very well-balanced,fact that makes its smell catchy. Grate for summer days. I 'm happy with its lasting power too.

Very citrusy, but yet a subtle scent , probably the peach notes makes that effect , softens the overall smell . This is the fragrance that makes you on a good mood when it's sunny outside and you don't want to go to job :P

Smells like summer, and would be refreshing to wear on a hot summer’s day. Like a well mixed gin and tonic with lots of lime, and a slice of cucumber. Refreshing.

Why did they have to discontinue this? I would not call it floral but it is an open uplifting scent like the ocean so fresh spicy is about right.

I have a bottle from 1995. It is one of my first perfumes. By accident. I was very young... I simply memorised this scent. It stands on my vintage vanity these days as a nice memory of life. Reminding me of times without worries and generally better times... If that exists. When I started to study perfumes as a user and collector I got the opinion that this particular perfume name could be a memory. This smell wakes those feelings of memory. Not memories but memory. It smells like memory. I have flashes of memory smelling it. Streets. Sun. Rain. Newspaper. Leaves falling. Bread smell... Flashes. Unconnected. So nice. Beautiful. Perfumes from this era are/were much better than what is pushed and sold these days. Even the simple ones, like this one, are still better than what we have nowadays. They were composed better. Blended better. In general, that's enough to get the good perfume. I consider this perfume one of the best in its range. The top notes are Yuzu, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange and Peach; Wonderful fresh opening with very wet aldehydes and subtle ripe peach skin note. Warm. Layered with citrus notes! Very well blended. Impressive. And lasting. These top notes don't disappear. They remain. Traces float over the rest of the composition. The middle notes are Freesia. The favourite flowers, for many of us: these delicate, multi-coloured flowers smell so radiantly sweet and airy, with an almost nose-tingling freshness – and a hint of citrus in there somewhere, too. Yet try as they might, perfumers have never been able to capture the scent of freesias. As perfumer Alienor Massenet explains, ‘Freesia in perfumery is an imaginary reconstitution – but the smell is gorgeous.’ So: it’s produced synthetically, adding a hint of green sweetness – and airiness – to fragrance creations. All of that lying down over Base Notes. Base notes are Cypress, Cedar, Honey and Amber. Nice, calm, refreshing dry down. Long lasting. Like memory.

First time I saw it in the sale box, I thought something was wrong with the bottle which have bubbles like a rejected perfumebbottle so didn't buy it, but after some research at home, it seems to be it is design that way, so next visit I spritz a bit on my wrist and whooow, its very bitter sour and just like other said to be like a lime soap or dishwasher soap, I just put it back. 3rd visit, I tried it again and this time I spray and let it dry for a while. After it dried I still smell mainly the lemony zesty but in much more nose friendly and refreshing way so I bought it. Somehow It does not last on my skin. compare to the opening which is so much like citrusbomb all in the air, it dries down with very soft citrus scent, so when I smell my wrist again when it dried, sometimes I questioned my nose, is this the dried down scent or just a memory of the opening that still stays inside my nose and my mind, so i keep on trying to smell the dried scent... but, it just gone so quickly and I have to start spritz it over again, hahahaha. Still, I love wearing it, especially in the morning for a fresh start.

This is a European summer vacation in a bottle for me. On my skin, this works only in hot dry weather. Humidity will make this scent too oppressive and cool air "freezes" the scent, not allowing it to open up and reveal itself. Imagine a leisurely stroll down a sandy lane in a seaside resort on a sunny day. Coming up to a cypress tree and plucking one of the "fruits/nuts" from the branch and crushing it with your fingers. That bitter smell combined with dry lemon/yuzu rinds in the background is Eau Belle D'Azzaro.

Pleasant, light and basic citrus for summer but performance is not great. It's only detectable nose to skin within a half hour of spraying liberally. Maybe a bit more in high summer heat. It was $20 so I don't mind using a lot but I was disappointed in that sillage. The scent is very nice and clean, slightly sweet. I don't find it spicy at all. Despite the aquatic theme of the bottle I don't really see this an having an aquatic quality. It's all citrus to me. I do like the cute, unusual bottle.

It was my fave at highschool I can ́t tell how many bottles I ́d finished but all my savings from summer part-time jobs were straight for buying this stuff!!! Guys used to fell for it as I remember. I guess it represented what I was then. It is a nice non offensive citrusy one. It made think of placid lakes,bunches of friends and lots of fun... Grate for an starter scent, It suits women of any age, very casual a mood lifter and feminine as well....

Very easy to wear. Light and clean and fresh. For me it is one of those scents that when you pass someone on the street wearing it you want to inhale deeply. Great for summer as it is cheery and bright. Not long lasting though. I agree that it would suit any age group. If you are tired of the sweet /vanilla and heavy floral fragrances out there this may be one to try, if you can find it!

Its colour made me believe i would try an aquatic perfume... instead this was a creamy-fruity-floral-citrus and actually a very good one, with long lasting power of about 7 hours... I think the honey smoothes the cypress and makes it very calming, although still invigorating. However, there's nothing bitter or sour about it! Nice blend and aromatotherapeutic for gals as well as boys!!

Fresh and light, the color of the perfume desribes its scent alright, I'm so proud to have this one cos I won it on a magazine contest by writing a short jingle of eau belle which is said to be very cheerful.

I had this perfume when I was younger. It's fresh and a little bit sweet. I like this perfume and I've gone through 2 bottles. Perfect on a hot day in the summer.

Very sharp cypress scent. I can't even bring myself to wear it at hope for a little pick-me-up - cypress is so loud and there's nothing there to soften it.

Very easy to wear, fresh, clean fragrance. One of the few fragrances with Ambergris which I love. Hard to find though!

Aromatic is right! Ah, Eau Belle. I go back and forth on whether I like it. Sometimes the cypress and cedar is too strong, and becomes a little like solvent on me, or maybe floor cleaner. I expected more citrus from that bubbly little bottle, but it really depends on the day; sometimes it's spicy and fresh, a little sharp, and sometimes it's just sharp. The longevity is decent, though I wouldn't expect more than 4-5 hours from it. I probably won't replace my miniature, but it was fun to try.

I take it from my mom. She bought bottle by 25 years ago. I didn’t like it, but woman who I bought it - did! She told me it reminds her about her childhood, sounds vintage. Cannot say more about that..

I love the look of Eau Belle D'Azzaro. But, please do not ask me why since I hate the bottle of its flanker Orange Tonic. I think it is all about the first impression and the total look. Eau Belle d'Azzaro was launched at 1995 and made by perfume Natalie Feisthauer, a senior perfumer from scent and flavor company Symrise. Eau Belle D'Azzaro was created in 1995. A light, citrus fragrance that can be classified in the colognes category shall it not have honey aroma in the middle notes. Yet, the first burst of yuzu and bergamot stay for a very long time, making Eau Belle one of the most suitable perfume for outdoor activities under glaring sunlight. Its composition is straightly linear. We can find a bit of jasmine, freesia. And, it was ended with woodsy notes. I know, it is like simplifying the whole composition. Mind me, my nose was overwhelmed by the tartness of yuzu and bergamot hence what I could say. It is hard to find Eau Belle D'Azzaro currently. But you can try to buy from online fragrance shop perhaps.

Don't overspray this one! It's a delicate scent, but as fresh and light as it may be on the perfume spectrum, it still has a synthetic quality-that must be why it isn't very expensive. I love the top notes- but I also detect the soapy middle note tommy_girl mentioned. Overall a pleasant perfume for my first wear, I will update again later.... Update: While I don't mind smelling a bit like soap with the right blend of sweet and/or fresh components, I hate how quickly the beautiful top notes decay into the sharp yuzu-bergamot soap scent. I think it smells better on me to other people, and I don't think it smells cheap, but this is my second bottle of perfume I bought thinking I would have a satisfying fresh choice of fragrance, only to have to continue my wild search.....

bought it blind for really cheap.. expected something light, fizzy and sparkling judging from the bottle... the scent is extremely sharp at the opening, kills my nostrils with a stench of rotten citrus. the odour gets milder when it dries out, but remains like an insect repellent on my skin. my respect goes to ones that see anything interesting in it. for me it is just ugly. sorry...

I got this fragrance for a gift 35 years ago. Today I got a mini bottle that I ordered. The scent doesn't take me into the past surprisingly. At the beginning I get a huge caraway scent which I don't like at all. Lates it gets littlw better as it a little bit vanishes away but no, I don't like it. It doesn't resemble to water or summer to me.

I love the fresh, clean, citrusy opening (and I especially love the bottle!). In the heart, it sweetens up a bit with the jasmine and the freesia, but the base has a bitter, green woody note that I presume is the cypress disagreeing with my chemistry. It was close, but in the end, it was not for me.

Except its very cute bottle(even could be handmade)In one word: dis-gus-ting! None of the notes on the list I've detected, only a sharp bitter oily scent and nothing else! ( no citrus, no honey or anything) I want to believe my bottle's gone bad...

I've read the reviews and the words sharp, tart and synthetic all ring true. This is unpleasant according to my tastes.

15. august 2012 I am really glad i had a chance to try "Eau Belle" before purchasing it. Otherwise i would be quite dosapointed if i would waste another 50-60 eur for something i don ́t like that much. And to be honest i don ́t like it that much as i was expecting. This fragrance was haunting me for years, i was imagining it to be soemthing airy, beautifully aquatic, fesh. But instead of airy it is quite heavy. It is aquatic, but only partly. It is fresh but as fresh as washing detergent. Starts out as citrusy outburst, then turns into cyclmen-honey-orange, quite bitter and heavy. The trace it leaves on my skin is synthetic aquatic which fades away quite quickly. Somehow i can smell a scent of tonka bean closer to the drydown and it is strong enough, which is actually disturbing me. Oh, well, it ́s sadly nothing what i imagined it to be. I ́ll pass since i have much better summer fragrances in my collection already. I don ́t dislike it, it is ok, but not willing to pay much for this scent. Not worth it IMO. Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every review should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks.

Azzaro EAU BELLE D'AZZARO opens a bit brashly with a blast of solvent, but shortly thereafter smooths into a very likeable unisex greenish citrus-floral scent which rivals the best that Creed and Bond no 9 have offered in this domain. I am very surprised that this is said to be a feminine fragrance, because it is typical for what is being released today for men and women to share. Perhaps because this was launched way back in 1995? Fresh, crisp, and clean, this composition is much less citrus than green and has an abiding but very subtle florality suitable for lads and lasses alike. EAU BELLE D'AZZARO is a fine cologne-type fragrance perfect for hot weather wear. You really do need to hold your breath for the first minute or two, but the drydown is well worth the wait.

Azzaro fragrance discontinued. It is a citrus scent that opens with notes of yuzu very airy and fresh with a soft, sweet touch of peach is the best of this fragrance and evolving towards a floral middle notes of freesia that feels something synthetic and cheap. Whole batch dried to a woody dominant cypress with a soft, sweet aftertaste, which corresponds to the amber and honey mixture. The final feeling worse, and this is not entirely pleasant: on the background a clean, soap and creamy aftertaste reminiscent Gieffeffe Ferre. Perfectly unisex, for the times, ideal for summer use, with a moderate duration and smooth wake. Rating: 2.5

Very fresh, and lasts quite long. But I think it's horrible. Fresh, yes, in the way dish detergent smells fresh. Synthetic, watery cypress and citrus, that's what I get. I don't smell any honey, or amber, or musk, or ANYTHING to give it depth. It's a cold fragrance, but it'll probably be wonderful in summer. On other people. So sad it doesn't match my skin, the concept seemed so nice. I love cypress, but I guess I prefer it combined with warmer, richer notes. Too bad, because I really need to find a fresh summer fragrance

Was out shopping last night and stumbled upon this on the clearance shelf of SDM for $19.99. I'm so glad I bough this. It reminds me of Versace Versense mixed with DG Light Blue and topped off with E Arden untold eau fraiche. So I will say that "fraiche" scents are my fav and I absolutely love almost all of them that I smell hence this being right up my alley! If those types of scents aren't your thing then this wont be for you! Easy to wear love it

this is a good perfume for citrus lovers.it starts with very dominant lime and bergamot notes.I don't get any peach note.it's somehow sharp and of course green at the same time. when it comes to middle notes,it smells like a lemon soap bar.yeah,it smells like soap. the long lasting power?not bad,but not one of those you wear for hours. I'm in love by the bottle anyway.

"Erase and rewind,cause I've been changing my mind..." I used to love this one back in the late 90's. It then disappeared from the stores and now it seems to be making a comeback(?). The mini I got this summer left me puzzled. It is nothing like I remembered. Nowdays i find it cheap smelling, plastic, trying too hard to feel "fresh". A big nooo!

Unisex as I see it - much because the dominant cypressnote. It is fresh, slightly bitter and sweet on top of that. When it blends together a somewhat odd smell appears. This is something I would not waste my money on buying (have a mini). Seems like it should be in the Aromatic Green group.

This is an excellent perfume. It's a lot more interesting than most people give it credit for. I think it reflects its Mediterranean components very well. I grew up there and Eau Belle always stabs me with a vision of a perfect sea: fresh with a fierce sparkle and a dash of warm sun.

Eau Belle, bubbly you! You and Lolita Lempicka broadened my horizons the summer I was 22, visiting the Pyrenees Orientales. Will always associate this fragrance with warm sun, the sea and youthful brio. Bisous.
