Wanted Tonic

Another top notch release from Azzaro in the Wanted line that has really delivered imo. As a huge fan of both wanted and wbn I anticipated this one and man ,what a gorgeous and refreshing fragrance that will work so well in spring and summer and maybe in the early parts of fall, that ginger and patchouli blend so nicely then top off with lime to make such a refreshing, cool and sleek scent. This reminds me of boss bottled tonic as well, both in a similar vein. I really like this tho, it could be for just about any occasion and just smells damn good. As all my opinions go, if your goal is to smell good then this will definitely do it. Performance is mid range, not super loud mor is it going to work great for those who dont take showers. But for anyone that has their day segmented with showers and need 4 to 5 hours it can get you by. This is the type of frag I would also suggest just a few extra sprays to bolster it a bit more. Idk why quite a few ppl hate this fragrance. Sure, the other flankers in the Wanted and The Most Wanted line are way better smelling and better performing than this, but Wanted Tonic is still a nice smelling citrusy, clean fragrance that is nice for everyday use. But if you do dislike this fragrance, then fine its your opinion and I respect it. 🤝🏻 Lets talk about performance. The performance on this is not the best. I get around 4-6 hours with a medium projection. I recommend this fragrance for daytime use, in the summer and spring. Overall: Scent: 8/10 Longevity 6.5/10 Projection: 6/10 Azzaro Wanted Tonic. 7.8/10 Great cheap, dumb reach fragrance. Its around $20-25 in Marshalls/TJ Maxx. Worth it for a cheap freshie in my opinion.

I made an account just to counter the hate this cologne is getting. The opening does genuinely smell like generic, off-the-shelf detergent or cleaning agents. But you know what, it works. Sometimes smelling 'clean' is the goal amiright But let's get to the dry down - it's warm & spicy but subtle. It needs someone to be close to you to smell. It's incredibly unique in this regard - I've never smelled a fragrance that was so unapologetically 'fresh' and 'clean' only to dry down to a warm, sensual, but still fresh scent. I think tonic has its uses - this is the type of scent I'd use on a pool date. Smelling fresh off the bat and warmer for later in the night.

I can understand why people dislike this fragrance, but not every fragrance needs to be groundbreaking while gassing an entire room of people. This is a perfect clean and fresh dumb reach for everyday use. The lime has a very nice aftershave vibe, and the drydown is quite similar. I feel that the lime stays throughout the duration of the fragrance. 5 sprays is enough to last me a short school day and project moderately and comfortably in an indoor environment. Everyone needs something like this, an inoffensive everyday scent.

A very fresh and clean fragrance. It has a nice lime and ginger opening that is quite refreshing. Perfect for spring and summer days. Performance is okay, not great. Definitely not worth the full retail price. Buy from discounters. As someone else has noted, it smells slighty similar to YSL Y EDT, but does its own thing for the most part. Overall, a surprisingly nice and casual daytime fragrance. Girls love this as well. Will get you compliments.

Edit: After wearing it a few times, I really do love the smell. Get you a big bottle from a discounter and keep reapplying. Just got a sample of this and it 100% smells like a designer version of adidas Moves. I love the scent (as I love Moves), but not the price point. They have about the same longevity too. I think I'll stick with the $18 cheapie from the 00's. That said, I certainly wouldn't be upset if I received it as a gift.

Got this for £17 so a bargain,so with that at a starting point. It's nice, it's simple and nothing whatsoever to do with the wanted line. But on a hot day it's been nice, it reminds me on boss bottled tonic and boss bottled infinite. It's in that sphere of fragrance. Just easy going dumb reach smell. I've only used in high heat and works well, so no clue in normal UK weather it would last. For the price I can recommend.

Casual uncomplicated ginger lime refresher spritz. Decent concentration and output. Its not a bad release at all but could have been so much more if they added a few additional summery elements. Its simple yes, but at least not scratchy or bothersome scent. Perfect for casual wear or gym. I would love to see how they could elevate this scent and make it more exciting for another go.

Have had this for some time. A very nice fragrance that’s more in-depth than you think. My plan is to wear it a bit more and even as the seasons change. blue frag haters, don't ignore this. its a good solid release from Azzaro. it reminds me of issey summer releases with lot of lime and less yuzu in opening and gets sweeter and fruitier over time. good longevity and summer performer. wait for prices to go down to 40 to 45 USD. it will be a great buy. not for niche lovers, this is everyday youth on the go. like it 8/10

a very great nautical scent. i smell a lot of the lime, but i am also picking up on some sea salt and ocean water despite them not being listed as notes. perhaps it's the patchouli and ginger creating that aroma? idk. anyways, it smells superb. a freshie with character. does it have the best longevity? no. but, very few fresh fragrances do. still a banger

I was expecting to hate this based off of the comments made by other people, but this is actually pretty nice. Very inoffensive, smells like if you had just made a lemonade (or limeonade). Very good for people who don't like fragrances

Wanna blind buy this one! I have seen good reviews bout this fragrance and it's notes are also good! Excited to try it! Just kinda worried cuz the fact people say it smells like urinal cakes....

Smells awesome, has good longevity and projection. I can still smell it on my arm 6 hours later without going nose blind. Smells like original wanted mixed with ysl y. Great release imho

People: STOP voting negative on fragrances if you haven't even smelled the fragrance yet.

Had a sample of this that came with another fragrance. It smells like Yves Saint Laurents Y. So technically a pleasant blue fragrance, but inherently a blatant copy in my opinion. While the EdT of Y is a bit underwhelming to me considering the price tag, I do like the EdP very much. I think it is one of the best blue fragrances out at the moment because it is a bit more on the sweeter side. A bit more playful. In terms of smell, Wanted Tonic is closer to the Y EdT. So a lighter more warm weather aimed fragrance, which is also indicated by its name. Sillage is ok for a lighter summer fragrance more on the weak side, but in the summer heat it might shine a bit more. Longevity is similar to Y EdT as well, about 5-6 hours. Y EdP is around 10h by the way and has much better projection, but is also heavier in terms of composition and smell. So, if you tested/know and like the YSL Y line and want a light version of that particular DNA, then you could go for Wanted Tonic as well, as it is cheaper. But, I would recommend getting YSL Y EdP. It is the best one if you like this particular fragrance DNA.

This is a pleasant easy to wear fragrance that won't offend anyone. It's perfect for hot weather day time use. Its good for the office and confined spaces. It works well also as a casual, to the grocery, gym type fragrance. This opens up with a lemon note that is a bit sweetish, fresh and fruity. I don't sense much ginger, at least it's not strong so it doesn't seem overly spicy but it's there and I feel that's what to my nose gives it just a touch of spicy creaminess. It dries down quickly revealing what smells to me like a dry, earthy, woody note. I immediately thought of cedar and vetiver or a combination of both but I believe what I'm smelling at that point is the patchouli. Over all, this is a safe scent and one that you'd appreciate if you want to smell pleasant without making much of a statement. This in a way reminds me of fragrances like: Versace Dylan Blue, D&G Light Blue and Versace Man Au Fraiche, Azzaro Chrome Sport. It's like the combination of that old saying: "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something (slightly) blue."

Just tried this today, initial impressions; not bad at all. OK it could be argued whether this Tonic flanker was actually needed considering the same brand's whole Chrome line. However this should please lovers of modern fresh aromatic fragrances such as Azzaro Chrome Aqua/Extreme, Montblanc Legend Spirit, Invictus Aqua, Kenzo Homme Parfum and so on. I agree with the previous comment that there's a little of that L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme (especially the summer flankers) flavour, but for me that's more on paper than on my skin. In fact on paper it smells a lot better for me, today at least. Didn't quite wow me but I'll look to try it again some time as I do like ginger in fresh scents and this does smell pretty good for what it is - a youthful fresh aromatic scent. Update 27/05/2020 - tried this again, very nice even if it still doesn't quite wow me. Solid release from Azzaro, I suppose like a blend of Legend Spirit with something more aquatic, maybe even Chrome Aqua.

Can't say it smells like anything I've used before so it's definitely unique. It's simply a good fresh, aquatic fragrance with moderate performance that I wouldn't recommend overpaying for.

NIce!! I wanted something fresh and cheap for the hot days and this will do. Here's the note list from Azzaro. Lime, Cardamom, Styrax, Ginger, Patchouli. I also smell something coniferous, like a pine note. Somewhat soapy, and very fresh...the ginger in the beginning is excellent as is the patchouli. Simple in the best way. 7.5 out of 10...maybe even higher considering the great price you can get this for. Good for hot days and the office. NOT BORING. If you want to see what women think of it...look up Brooklyn Fragrance Lover on Youtube ( RIP to that beautiful man ) and see you much his friend Olya likes it. Honestly, the memory of that video is part of the reason I bought and like this fragrance...I really loved his channel.

This is really simple, and really brisk. I'll be brief here, because I don't think this type of fragrance is really worth over-analyzing. It really is just a clean, clear, zesty bergamot with ginger. I think this is exactly the thing to reach for in hot, sticky weather. I spayed it a little while ago and it's still going, but the lime has evaporated. There's just a touch of spicy patchouli, but it's faint. It smells more like "akigalawood" (fractionated patchouli) instead of true patchouli. Does this warrant it's price tag? You decide (big no for me). It's definitely nice, but it's not truly innovative. Still, I enjoy this and it's on the masculine side of unisex (who cares, wear whatever you like).

This is a solid fresh dumb-reach type of fragrance. Pleasant and unoffensive. Lime and ginger is what you're going to be getting. Perfect for the gym or a relaxed day in sports clothes; that type of a vibe. I get a slight aquatic feel from it ... and that might just be the way the lime comes across, and it's also a little bit sweet, so it's not suuuuper fresh, but fresh enough. I don't think this smells "cheap" per se, but it is a kind of shower-gel type of a scent that's unremarkable. Do not pay retail for this, but if you get it on a solid discount, I doubt you'll be disappointed. I'm certainly going to be rocking this all summer.

I've signed up just to argue against the bashing. This does not deserve the hate it gets. I think its clear as day that the issue comes from the hype and the initial expensive release. If you was someone who loved the Wanted Line and had high hopes for this, i can see why you would of wanted more, but as if it wasn't part of this line would it be hated this much? It's now hovering around 30ish for 100ml and that is incredible value now. Listen, it isnt groundbreaking but Its fresh with a bit of spice, dosent smell cheap and it sticks around for a decent while. At its current value id buy again and again.

I was a hater at first. I am not a freshie person typically. I got this for $35 last year for my birthday. I was so underwhelmed. I would spray it every few months to keep the atomizer charged (nothing worse than pushing to spray and you get air lol) There is more going on with this. Ginger, Lime and Patchouli may be the official notes, but I get this coconutty smell in the mid. Its very pleasant. It smells great a year later. Lasts only 4-5 hours on me. Its now going to be dumb reach freshie until it starts getting cold here in the Northeast.

This is your “wear everyday after you shower if you don’t go out” type of frag. Very fresh indeed. I can wear this any time of the year inside the comfort of my home. Me personally I don’t see myself wearing it out side of my home given the fact of its poor projection and sillage. It’s a frag to enjoy in the company of your home and family. Smells great, the aroma is there, very simple and vibrant but please do buy this only if it is at a discount. It’s a good safe blind buy if you are into citrusy notes. Got mine for 20 bucks off Mercari.

I've just bought this for $35 only and I can understand the complaints of the ones who paid over $80 for it... BUT! I canNOT understand the hate towards the fragrance itself. Its inofensive and fresh ... Perfect for Summer at work/office etc. I have all the "WANTED" line and of course this one should be different. Its a silver barrel and light blue liquid ... Come On! It was pretty obvious what you were getting. But if that wasnt enough... Add TONIC to it's name... T-O-N-I-C. So again I can't understand the hate for the smell.

Its nothing special, but about what you expect from a spring summer scent. For the enthusiast, I can somewhat understand the hate. For the masses that either don't wear fragrances or are as hip, its a pretty good deal. I got my bottle (100ml) a year ago for about $32 after shipping. If anything what holds it back is that you can't just grab it for that cheap without having it shipped to you. Its a pretty good spring summer daily driver that wont break the bank. No one's going to complain about it either.

Picked it up for around 25 bucks. At that cost, cant complain. Its about what you would expect. Has the 'blue' orientation, though with an added fresh green touch. Ginger is a nice addition too. Doesnt last long, but does the job for a warm day if you are looking to freshen up after the gym or just looking to casually hang around and smell nice. Definitely not worth the retail, but for a cheap warm weather option for less than 30 bucks, no complaints.

I really like the scent of Azzaro Tonic very much. It stays on my skin for quite a long time, 6.7 hours. The price is super low $35, I don't know why so many people frankly hate this WONDERFUL scent.I can NOT understand the hate towards the fragrance itself. Its inofensive and fresh.Perfect for Summer,but also for every season,as well as at work,office etc. I recommend it to everyone. Rating: 7,5/10

It has aquatic accord from the beginning till the end, which gives "shower gel" vibe. Lime note blends with ginger really nice here. And i get a little bit of fruity sweetness (calone?) for the first 30 minutes, which reminds me of 90s/early 2000 fresh fragrances. A hint of fresh, grassy patchouli, combined with ginger at drydown. 6-7 hours on my skin. Easy and safe to wear. 8/10

I wonder what rating this would have if there weren’t extremely negative reviews from YouTubers coloring people’s judgement. I’m not a big fan of freshies but this one is not bad and has a very nice smell for warmer weather. I think it’s more wearable than the YSL Y line and definitely leagues ahead of Dylan Blue. At the current prices it’s an easy grab.

I don’t understand the hate behind this one. Is it something new? No. Smells like l’eau de Issey but that’s not a bad thing. Could it be considered a gym fragrance? I can see that. This is a good fragrance with average performance good for all year round and it’s very affordable. I can easily recommend this. I really enjoy this

Honestly does not deserve all the hate it gets. Yeah its def not worth it at retail but discounted for 25 bucks is a great freshie. Not every cologne has to choke everybody in room. Its a great dumb grab to the gym or on a run or just gonna go out for a few minutes. If you get it discounted its very nice for the price

Bright and beachy. Somewhere between a 😐 and a 🙂. I went with the latter as the price is right. Strong, synthetic ginger and lime notes. Lingers right above the skin with a mild sillage. On par with so many middle of the mall designer blues from the likes of Montblanc, Versace, YSL, Tommy Bahama, etc.

Opening does smell like generic blue shower gel, but dry down has more notes. After one hour, it becomes coctail of ambroxan, musk and tonka. Patchouli is very well blended- almost nonexistent. Whoever listed lime, ginger and patchouli as only notes must have eaten pizza with caviar during smelling.

Bought the 50ml of this at work earlier today for just over £16 after staff discount. A really nice fresh scent that lasts 5-6 hours on my skin. I'm a big fan of Azzaro fragrances and I really like the Wanted/Wanted By Night range.This was a no-brainer for me.

It's decent. Fresh and clean, one-dimensional, and easy to like. Doesn't achieve anything special, but certainly doesn't warrant the hate it seems to receive. Performance is average at best, and the notes listed above are exactly what you get.

The first Azzaro perfum i tried and while it smells nice... It's not for me. It lacks the "Finesse" of a Dior, Hermès or Issey Miyake. But for a nose that hasn't been spoiled by high end designers, it should do the job.

This could very easily be someone's signature/hot weather scent. Buy this if you're brand loyal or just want something you can blind buy fast. Don't buy this if you want these notes to last long.

This one gets a lot of unnecessary hate, it’s a solid gym fragrance that’s mass appealing and inexpensive. I’d buy another bottle if I came across it. Not hunting it down or pay more than $30.

So good, it really does smell just like CK One Summer 2015 and L’Eau d’Issey which are some of my favorite perfumes. This is perfect for summer, super fresh and sexy.

Definitely agree with others. Not worth the full retail, but for an office friendly safe fragrance, if you can pick it up for around 20-30, I say give it a shot.

It is pleasant, safe, clean smelling and boring. I imagine this is what Seventh Day Adventists smell like, if they have a scent at all.

Decent quality for such a low price, it was no brainer for me to cop it. Perfect for the beach or pool party.

Casual, every day fragrance for the warmer months. Nothing unique, but very pleasant and easy to like!
