Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum

As if the bottle weren't enough to make you buy this, it's also gorgeous to smell! It smells like the bottle looks. It's also a pretty big bottle for the price, and for an EDP. I am a magpie and immediately went to the counter when I saw this bottle, which, as someone here said, is basically a giant gem. It reminds me of the Amethyst scent from Victoria's Secret's Second Skin Satin line in the 90s. I was obsessed with that entire line, and to this day I am always, always hunting for things that are like it. I have been mostly unsuccessful, but this one comes close! I am sure scents are packaged to give a sense of the fragrance inside, but I wonder just how much we can judge based on that, since it seems like a fairly subjective thing... but I do find it an interesting coincidence that this amethyst-like bottle also smells a lot like that old Amethyst perfume, which was the very same color. This may not be the most innovative scent, but that doesn't mean it isn't absolutely beautiful! It's not common, either. Yes, it's jasmine, musk, peony and tuberose, but not in that "been there, done that" way. It would make an amazingly impressive gift and is a safe buy for someone of any age or personality. It's a quiet, relaxing, dewy scent. Everyone seems to describe it as bright and springlike, but I find it more tranquil and like a warm bubble bath.

You all are totally sleeping on this new Badgley Mischka Eau de Parfum. It’s soooooo good and my number one Spring scent. It’s soft and pretty and feminine and floral, fresh as a spring breeze, sparkling like champagne, and yet somehow also warm like sunshine reflecting off of waves. It’s unlike anything else in my whole collection and really special and unique. The bottle is so beautiful like a precious faceted amethyst gem and no one else has it. Even my husband loves it. A part of me just wants to keep it all to myself, but it’s too good! Beautiful, elegant, chic. Very much keeping in line with the style of the brand. Try it...or don’t. More for me!

Just a beautifully designed fragrance that has a unique Chemistry that appeals to everyone , but maintains an originality that makes it different than the rest . And the bottle is basically a jewel .... precious

I accidentally purchased a 10ml. travel sprayer of this thinking it was the original Badgley Mischka and couldn't understand why what I was smelling didn't match the note profile for that scent. It was a thoughtful frangrantica member,(thanks Bee!),who informed me of my error. I don't understand why perfumers keep doing that. Just give the perfume a different name and stop driving everyone nutz! LOL! Anyway, this comes off as a floral aquatic to me. It's a very light and watery fragrance where the pear, and calone (not listed in the notes) initially stands out. It is soon joined by florals that are rather non-descript. It's actually hard for me to determine what exactly they are. I certainly don't pick up tuberose, or jasmine, or any of the other floral notes for that matter. It's just a light, watery, floral bouquet. It's not a fragrance you can sink your teeth into as it lacks depth and heft. While it might be okay for warmer temps, it's not anything novel or new. For comparison purposes, it's on the line of Enjoy by Jean Patou, another watery, perfumy floral, but that is a little more distinct and better composed. This is just a SAFE fragrance, one that you can grab and go when you need something that doesn't stand out. It sure won't bowl anyone over, but it won't offend anyone either, mainly because I doubt anyone will be able to smell it. The silage is so light it's almost nonexistent, and the longevity is mediocre at best. I'm glad I only bought a travel sprayer.

I wish I got more jasmine, magnolia, and iris in this scent. I wouldn't say the description was inaccurate by any means, but with all the notes described, I expected this to be much more complex. It's a very easy-to-like white floral. If you like Kim Kardashian fragrances or are a fan of Bath and Body Works/Victoria's Secret perfumes, you will likely enjoy this fragrance. It's pleasant and sweet, but not at all unique or interesting. If someone smelled you wearing this, they wouldn't complain, but they probably wouldn't ask what perfume you're wearing. TL;DR - A sweet, simple white floral, a bit fruity. A few notes come through the most: pear blossom and (sweet) amber. Pleasant but not unique.

This is pretty but I don’t find anything revolutionary about it! It’s one of those easy reach, generally pleasant scents that would be appealing and inoffensive to anyone. I don’t pick up the coconut, it’s just a floral that would be good for everyday. The bottle is really pretty, the scent is somewhat blasé, but pleasant.

I probably would have bought this for the beautiful bottle alone. The fragrance is a light, pretty floral that is somewhat indistinct in that no one note dominates IMO. Lovely, fresh and familiar. This has really been a layering all-star for me. Everything I have paired it with has been gorgeous!

This is a very floral, airy perfume throughout. I get very little of the listed base notes. I don't love tuberose, but it would be hard to find something offensive in here. As purely floral perfumes go, it's quite innocuous. As a side note, I got this in a sampler of peach perfumes, and I'm so confused by its inclusion. The original Badgley Mischka is peachy, but the EdP is all floral all the time. That doesn't affect my review, it's just random. Impressions over time: Light, lilting, floral opening. Twenty minutes in it's just the same, florals that are so well blended it's hard to pick out anything specific. At thirty-five minutes it's similar, but the tuberose is more obvious. An hour and fifteen minutes after application, nothing has changed; after the quick dry-down this is very linear. Three hours later it's largely faded, but the overall tuberose/floral airiness has a little musk underpinning it. Four hours later it's gone unless I bury my face in my arm.

meh. nothing spectacular, nothing atrocious. just a nondescript blend of fresh florals, ideal for spring and summer. I was super intrigued by the coconut note in the base but was disappointed to not pick it up. it performs fine, it projects fine. it's just fine. just ok. it's pretty and non-offensive (good for the office) but I wouldn't buy a full size bottle. I have other fragrances which I like more that achieve the same effect as this.

Aquatic, fresh, light, neroli, peony with pear blossom. It gives me watermelon vibes. The coconut only adds a hint of sweetness in the dry-down but it does not smell like coconut. Light projection and longevity. Good as an after shower body mist. Bottle is beautiful and good quality.

I'm really liking it. Fresh and powdery without being overdone, lovely florals, and the notes seem really well blended. Safe and office appropriate. I'd call this a bridesmaid scent. Pretty, appealing, and appropriate. Not a show stealer or attention grabbing or overtly sexy.

I bought this for ridiculously cheap on ShopLC for the bottle. At first I thought this was a sweet fresh and clean scent I would like (similar to say Ocean di Gioia) but something puts me off, like a lily-type of scent even though it's not listed. Bottle's great though!

Not one of my best blind buys... But that's simply due to the peony notes and my skin chemistry I think. Not terrible, but not my favourite. If I were a bigger fan of florals and musk base scents, then I would likely enjoy this one greatly.

Pretty but boring. I'm kind of tired of these non descript peppery, floral designer fragrances. Super underwhelming and poor performance. This is the kind of fragrance for someone who isn't into perfume. Inoffensive, office friendly.

a terrible perfume in a gorgeous bottle. I smell nothing except a fleeting powdery mess. I can't believe that it contains all of those notes....

I'm pretty sure I reviewed this before but I'm involved in a project of decluttering and this one must go. Here's why. This was a blind buy. Going by the notes, I should really love this. Tuberose, jasmine, neroli, magnolia, COCONUT (!!)? Are you kidding me? I should be over the moon to find an affordable perfume with these notes. But I'm here to tell you that this smells like NONE OF THAT. This straight up sucks LOL. I have no clue where they came up with the nerve to tell us there is coconut in here. This couldn't be any more anti-coconut. This is hairspray. This is bad, really bad. Generic. Worse than generic. It has some kick ass sillage and longevity though, UNFORTUNATELY. It seems to always work out the way. The frags you wish would perform better don't but the ones you can't stand will blow your ass right off the planet 😆🤷! Edit: the bottle is gorgeous though. And that Forest Noir bottle is one of the prettiest darn bottles I've seen in a long time. I've never smelled that one but I'd like to try it. Everything is worthy of a try IMO. Just do not blind buy this purple bottle one expecting a coconut, tuberose, magnolia type of fragrance because you'll be very disappointed. NOT a safe blind buy.

I'm doing an updated review, I've had this for about 2 years now and honestly have not worn it very much but I always periodically sniff it from the bottle to remind of the scent. Though I've not worn it much, something in the back of my head never let me sell this which is what I usually do with things I'm not wearing. Also, there was one little note that was turning me off on my skin. Fast forward to today, I took it for another spin after a long while not wearing it and i'm not smelling the weird note. There is just something about this that just stands out. Yes, it's a feminine pretty floral but there's just something very subtle that makes this stand out. It's fresh but it has an heir of mystery. Like bright fresh flowers with something mysterious lurking in the background and playing peek-a-boo with your nose. This is what has stopped me from selling or giving this away. It has something special that I haven't smelled from other pretty florals. So, I'm so glad that I did not get rid of this one and I think I've grown into this and think of it as a pretty feminine scent with something special. Others may not agree, but I'd say sample it because I feel it may stand out to the right person like it did for me.

just got this the other day along with forest noir (forest noir BTW is awesome )..........and this is a very light feminine girly scent :) its not offensive......easy to wear.......crowd friendly the only bad thing is it doesnt last very long :( but even tho its short lived on me i still really like it :) as far as the notes nothing is a super stand out on me - its all blended very pretty so it was hard to pick out what stood out.....lol........ overall very nice..easy to wear :) looking forward to more of badgley mischka scents !!!!

Just got this today in a swap and when I first smelled it I wasn'tsure what to think. I just smelled flowers but I've had it on almost 4 hours and wow is this long lasting for a lighter springy floral scent. It's also very different now than when first sprayed. Of course we're going into fall now so I'll have to test it more in spring. Another thing of course, the bottle I'll say is the most beautiful bottle I've ever seen. I may update.

With the notes that this fragrance has, it has a very pleasant smell. It’s basically really only good as a layering fragrance, but it has a very nice base on the skin. Would love it to have a more powerful sillage, but overall a good fragrance. However, it is a bit pricey considering it’s such a light skin scent.
