Le Dix (2025)

Lovely Iris/violet mix. Someone below sensed a bit of Oak moss and I agree. There is a bit of a vintage feel and I’m here for it. Some may not think it smells as good as the original, but I don’t care. I love this. The sticker on the bottle is trash though. The bottle is classic.

Very nice slightly earthy iris perfume, the orris is very velvety and reminds me of the same orris used in Francesca Bianchi's perfumes. I would say out of this Le Dix collection this one is definitely worth the money.

Gorgeous! Powdery sweetish iris violet. I perceive more violet than iris. Elegant and chic. Bottle is stunning, glad to have purchased it overseas to save some coins.

Aldehydic clean iris, weightless makeup-powder airiness, and a sense of quiet luxury. This is exactly the kind of vibe I always fall for.. so naturally, I loved it. I don’t know the vintage version, so I can’t compare, but this doesn’t smell “old”; more like a modern homage than a time capsule. In the opening I get a small touch of fruit (either peach or pear) and a noticeable carrot-seeds facet, though that phase disappears quickly, melting into a veil of immaculate powder. The heart is floral, almost like a bouquet; I’m guessing there’s rose in there somewhere, but with no official notes disclosed, I can’t confirm. It oscillates between a very soft, airy iris and a more grounded, buttery-creamy orris. There’s also a faintly smoky nuance, subtle enough not to distract, but present enough to add depth. I also detect violet in the background. Not the leafy, green kind, but a more cosmetic, lipstick-like violet. Still, unlike many iris-violet duos where violet takes over, here iris and powder remain the true focal points from beginning to end. Overall, it’s thoroughly enjoyable. Super unique? Not exactly. But for something brought back to life, the choices feel thoughtful and well-executed and the bottle looks fantastic! Tag(s): powder bomb, makeup-y, lipstick-y, violet

Opening smells silvery and airy like a winter chill, slight bit too much violet leaf ruins it to me but it feels a bit reminiscent of L’Huere D’Hiver from Frederic Malle in the same icy clean feeling but anyways this has a lot of iris + orris that shines in the dry down which it gives me slight Bois D’Argent with this dusty but shimmering powder iris, I struggled to smell any incense other than maybe this “dusty” vintage smelling dry down. I wish it didn’t smell as subdued and close to skin as it does but I can’t lie I like this more than I want to may have to return but seems like an 8/10-ish scent

This is for IRIS lover. A well blended composition of iris & aldehyde. Very smooth, a bit vintage in a goodway. If you like Chanel les excusifs series, you may like this.

The best from the new line imo, tried them all. Violet / iris dominant and powdery, quite sheer and beautiful. Great longevity for what it is as well

This is my favorite of the ho-hum, trite new exclusive collection. Also smells nothing like Le Dix from my memory. It is a curious mix of a few genres--it is at once a combination of the freshie-iris DNA (YSL Trench and Prada Infusion Iris), anisic-aldehyde heavy violets like Apres l'Ondee and Kadine, and then a touch of aldehydic-multi-florals a la Chanel no 5. It doesn't commit to any of those ideas too closely and, as a result, is a bit muddled in execution. It's too hazy-fresh to really commit to its classical aesthetic, but too powdery-doughy to be as clean and crisp as exemplars from the genre I mentioned above like Trench and Infusion. Lasting power is decent. I enjoyed wearing it but enjoy committing to an aesthetic more clearly by either wearing Infusion d'Iris or a vintage Guerlain.

I’m wearing this today and I’m experiencing another facet of it: the violet. There’s a heavy handed use of violet in here, im assuming to openly compete with the iris or at least to balance it. That would make sense seeing how there’s more iris in here than any other note. Also, this smells as if there’s a slight tincture of oakmoss in it. Oakmoss or not that perceived oakmoss smell, in combination with the whole, is what really has me head over heels for this awesome scent. Wearing this brings me great joy. I’m fighting the urge to not go back to their boutique to cop a bottle.

Gorgeous soft iris and violet mix. I have some vintage Le Dix edt from the 60s, and they are definitely different; in this 2025 version, whatever aldehydes they do use have been significantly toned down from the original, and the iris and violet are amped up. If you don’t love really overt aldehydes, try the modern version. I love both!

WAAYYY better than ANY Chanel with Iris. This is a vegetal, waxy, iris. A unisex/masculine leaning iris. An iris i have never personally smelled before. I could be embarrassingly wrong due to not having smelled it in close to a decade, but It reminds me of Oddity from Rag & Bone with a quality Iris. Almost wish i hadn’t sniffed this.

Extremely smooth and buttery orris root! The frankinscense base is lingering in the background but not making itself too noticeable. Development is quite linear, basically orris root is all you can smell, but it's done beautifully. Not earthy, dirty or done with any other strange stuff, just pure iris.

Extremely similar in ideation to Iris poudre from FM. fantastic vintage style aldehydic orris overload. My gripe though is most of these balenci scents seem to maybe not outright copy other popular fragrances but none of them are really original ideas

Iconique ! Juste iconique.... Le prix (260 €) n'incite pas à sauter le pas car je crains que ce parfum n'a de "Dix" que le nom... Les tricheurs chez les grands couturiers sont pléthores.... Je me méfie !!

Squeaky clean iris sleeping on effervescent powder, young hands playing with vintage makeup and the ache to age. A grandmother, who is much cooler than you but is overlooked, smells like this.

clean simple iris. unisex, maybe a touch fem. Reminds me of bois dargent but not as woody. powdery but not over the top. performance and projection average

Easy reach iris. Chic, clean, decent longevity but not completely typical. The incense adds some cool & the violet adds some melancholy. I like it - 8/10

For me, it smells like a nice blend between the confortable powdery musky of Glossier You + the Prada infusion d’iris. Very cosy and nice on skin too.

Somewhere between Dioramour and La Pausa. The dried down is similar to Bois d'argent.
