Fresh Pear & Coconut

Man I gotta say, Banana Republic missed the mark on this one. I mean it's literally a fresh floral scent kind of like a bar of soap with a tiny hint of baby powder hitting my nose every once in a while, zero pear, zero coconut. Banana Republic is literally one of my favorite fragrance houses in the US and every one I own, which is quite a few, all hit pretty close to what I think they were going for. This is definitely a miss for them, not a bad scent, but not even remotely close to the name or even notes described. Glad I bought the small bottle though I may closet this and see if it just needs to macerate as these are pretty new scent profiles.

Blind buy.....and it's "ok". It doesn't have that WOW factor that some of the older banana Republic has (Gardenia & Cardamom, Tuberose Overdose). It honestly doesn't even smell much like coconut or pear. You do get a quick flash of pear for the first 15-20minutes, but then it turns into the overly white contrast of Lily of the valley and Jasmine, white laundry musk's and a slight plasticy smell. This scent is just ok....I wouldn't wear this honestly, but I would use this as a room spray or bathroom spray if anything. Sad times for the new 2025 banana Republic releases. They lost their mojo.....

It’s a fresh pear dowsed in a baby powder-like musk similar to Sandalwood and Musk from the same line, but not as overwhelming. There is no musk note listed, maybe it’s the jasmine and amber? As all others from this line, incredible potential, but disappointing. A hefty dose of coconut would elevate this fragrance to one of my favorites, now it’s in the swap bin. Yet another BR fragrance with a misleading name where its main selling point isn’t even present.

I have to agree with this smelling like expensive perfumed baby wipes. For some that’s not a bad thing but based of the note structure I’m sure that wasn’t the goal. A hard no! The pear, vanilla and sandalwood are my top favorite notes in a fragrance and sadly they are missing in this one.. even after the day down.. nothing.. so sad because I have few bangers from BR. Let’s step up the game fragrance fam!

Very beachy, I get more pear, sandalwood, and the citrus out of anything. It kinda smells like baby wipes in the dry down and or an Italian lemon drink, but it's okay in my opinion. Definitely a summer-only perfume.

I'm getting some pear and a ton of musk, no coconut. It also wears more like a body spray. Might work better in high heat...maybe? Not worth what it is going for at retail.

Like it, smells more like a fresh laundry to me than baby wipes. It's very strong, good projection and seems to last ~6 hours

I’m getting citruses and some musks, faint coconut. Overall, reminds me of the cleaning supplies they use in Miami Beach hotels. You come back to your room and it smells like this perfume. It’s a pass for me.

Not sure why anyone would want to smell like a cheap baby wipe, but if anyone did, this is the fragrance.

This was genuinely my first blind buy that went wrong and I should have paid attention to the reviews here.. It smells like off-brand baby wipes, if that makes any sense. I was expecting to at least get a fruity blast of pear but NOPE. Just a slightly bitter baby wipe smell that doesn't last (thankfully). Maybe letting the juice mature will bring the notes out but as far as I'm concerned that's a horrible buy, unless that baby wipe smell is your thing. I'm very disappointed since I actually own other Banana Republic bottles (midnight hour, dark amber, cypress cedar, tobacco and tonka) and just assumed it would be as good as those. Ughhh

As someone who has gone out of my way to collect as many fragrances from this collection as possible, this has to be the biggest disappointment yet. The user below who said it smells like a sharp Dove bar is 100% correct. It opens with the vaguest pear followed by Dove bar, lasts under 30 minutes, thankfully. Edit: While the Dove bar smell only lasts about half an hour, there's a terrible ambroxan type smell that lingers for at least 4-5 hours.

Just got this, it does not smell like pear or coconut, I’m only getting very generic lemon, kinda smells like bathroom cleaner, I’m kinda shocked since all the others from this line are amazing, the peony, the dark cherry amber, the gardenia cardamom and tuberose overdose they are all very good don’t waste your time on this one

Blind bought even after reading the reviews. Pear and coconut are absent. Whatever top notes you smell exists about as long as a vape cloud. The only way I can describe the scent that comes to mind is a sharp Dove bar. It isn't horrible, but I will definitely be giving it away.
