Neroli Woods

This ... is ... AMAZING! It definitely is a unisex fragrance but is perfect for either gender IF you love neroli and florals ... quite a bit of florals. The citrus note in this resembles nice, freshly-squeezed oranges ... but not just the oranges ... pretty much the entire tree! Really, you also get the nice green notes from the leaves and blossoms, too. This is NOT a syrupy sweet fragrance but it is a floral forward fragrance. It starts off as a bitter-sweet, sparking citrus neroli fragrance. IF you have smelled John Varvatos Artisan Pure and you like it ... then take away the slightly bitter herbal citrus opening in Artisan Pure and just soften it a bit and add more florals and less woody notes, then you end up with Banana Republic Neroli Woods. Even though this is called neroli woods, you get very little woods until the last hour of the drydown. Another reviewer who is less wordy than I am, said ... this fragrance is a citrus, floral with a nice, light woody hint. Because I was concerned about longevity and projection after reading other reviews, when I was about to wear it out for the first time, I sprayed 6 or 7 sprays. I received several compliments and it lasted over 6 hours with moderate projection and the neroli/floral notes were in the forefront the entire time until the very end ... then for around an additional hour a light musky, woody drydown finished off the end of this well crafted neroli fragrance and I'd give it a strong 8/10 rating. Add this to your collection, really ... like I said before ... AMAZING!

This is a gorgeous fragrance, so clean, fresh and classic for sure, yet not "Old Fashioned" or dated imo. I picture wearing Neroli Woods dressed in a white, raw silk shirt (or White Polo shirt) along with a pair of Dockers or something, maybe even a pair of nice cashual/dress shorts, walking on the beach or partaking in some outdoor event. Neroli Woods really does remind me of TF Neroli Portofino, although the opening is not as strong as the TF thus sitting much closer to your skin. I currently have Maison Alhambra's Porto Neroli and while that one does project more and smells stronger initially, Neroli Woods really stcks around much longer imo. I wore Neroli Woods to work and was catching whiffs of it throughout most of my 8 hour shift, while the Porto Neroli does project more, its pretty much completely gone after hour 5 or 6 hours depending on whether you over spray it or not. I think Neroli Woods makes a PERFECT office scent as it gives you the feeling of just being Ultra Fresh and Clean and its in no way offensive even if over sprayed and it is also Perfectly Unisex. While Neroli Woods isnt very unique, it is very nice and the quality of the ingredients are truly top notch! I give this an 8 outta 10.. Classic Beauty!!🫠

Neroli Woods Banana Republic is a citrus, floral and woody fragrance. Its opening is citrus and green, very sparkling and pleasant. After a few minutes, the presence of the neroli note increases, which is the main note of this fragrance, although there are also more floral notes. After 1 hour or so a woody base can be noted, but never above the neroli note. This fragrance is ideal to use during the day, or on warm days like spring and summer days, it puts me in a good mood and is relaxing. My wife likes this fragrance and it is the only fragrance we share, because it is very unisex leaning more feminine.. Neroli Woods has an acceptable longevity, with me it stays for at least 8 hours, however the trail or diffusion it leaves is short, it can only be smelled very close to the skin.

Ok, so I bought a bottle of Banana Republic Neroli Woods 100ml at TJ Maxx for $20. It is a beautiful Neroli fragrance without a doubt. Very, very nice! The Neroli starts out powerful, almost sharp, but not too sharp. Then, the citrus and floral notes hit. After that, the soapiness and maybe the cedar start to develop. This is a very nice fragrance. Very polished and clean. Definitely reminds me of Italy. Definitely for cool weather, say 50 to 80 degrees. I love it. It's simple, but yet, understated elegance. Very well done! My only advice would be for Banana Republic to invest in adding a little bit more oils to their fragrances so that they last longer and project better. Then, they would sell the pants off this thing. This is a beautiful, smooth take on a fresh neroli fragrance. It is a bit more masculine than TF Neroli Portofino, but similar to that fragrance in construction. The notes are well blended, but a high-quality neroli note definitely takes center stage. Longevity is about 2 hours before it becomes a skin scent. Probably that could be extended by spraying on top of clothes, but I usually don't do that. The woods are not heavy at all, but lend a nice depth to the experience. The amber is mixed in very well and not really detectable as a separate note until well into the dry down. I don't pick up on a coconut vibe, at least not in the sense of Creed Virgin Island Water or Guess 1981 Indigo. Overall, this is a great value as the fragrance quality is top notch.

BR frags are value for money. They cost $27-29 Singapore dollars at Mustafa here, about 20-22 usd. Neroli Woods is a lovely clean fresh flora neroli scent, as I type it's still on the skin after 2 hours so I think it's decent since some similar scents are gone in an hour or two. The light skin scent drydown is pretty nice, floras and some woody cedar. Good for a hot and humid day. Good for layers. Bottle is simple and nice. It comes across as more quality than Maison Alhambra Neroli. The Neroli note is becoming one of my favorites in freshies whenever I want a breather away from the heavy composition of rose oud leathery incensey scents. Neroli sloths and calm my nerves. Good frag for a budget price.

I love neroli based fragrances. This is value for your money, I must be very lucky because this leaves a lovely trail whenever I wear it and I've received compliments many times from friends and family. I even wore this to my sisters wedding and I could still smell it lingering after a full 12+hours. I noticed that throughout the day every time I was heating up this would start to sing alongside my body heat... I'll be repurchasing this when my bottle is almost done and I really hope the new bottle is as strong as my current one! Just goes to show you that everyone has a different experience and the ratings for longevity and sillage don't reflect what you may experience!

Found this one at Burlington for $20 so couldn't resist. This has a wonderfully fresh neroli opening, buoyed by floral notes. I definitely see how this could lean more feminine at first, but I would argue it's more of a clean, sunny, citrusy type floral, than a perfumey one. It's fairly linear, but closer to dry down there is a note that I can only describe as Coppertone-like, just under the surface. The notes really connote Summer in a well balanced way. On skin, the performance and silage are moderate at best. But on clothing (or bed linens) the scent really lingers in a soft and comforting manner. If you like Neroli frags, this is a very safe blind buy!

It doesn't smell like 4711, nor Ferrari Bright Neroli. In those the Neroli is quite acid. More like lemon & Bergamot. Neroli Portofino is also more citrusy. This smells very much the same as Ermenegildo Zegna Mediterranean Neroli. That smooth. No sour citruses in these 2. These are by far the best "Neroli" scents. It has a decent projection for about 4 hours. Than one hour later it disappeared. But this at temperatures aroud 14-15 degrees. I have good hopes it will get even better in hotter weather. Nevertheless I paid 1/6 for Neroli Woods. Very good deal.

I actually disagree that Neroli Woods has poor longevity (and Im a total performance WHORE!). Its just sort of a quiet fragrance, but when I applied 4 spritzes on my neck for work, I kept getting whiffs of it throughout my entire 8 hr shift. Its just a muted fragrance is al, but NOT short-livedl. Id venture to say that it lasts even longer than TF Neroli Portofino actually. Beautiful, clean "Genderless", quiet but lasting fragrances like Banana Republic's Neroli Woods certainly has its uses, THATS FO SHO! A great, fresh GEM!

Very nice fragrance. While the obvious comparison is TF's Neroli Portofino, this fragrance is better for men as NP is more feminine. Neroli Woods reminds me of the orange tree more than NP as it has a bit more of a petitgrain and wood notes in it. Another comparison is Monegal's Entre Naranjos. Entre Naranjos has a very strong petitgrain note which I do not prefer. Sillage and longevity are not great, but for the price, it is not bad.

Neroli lovers rejoice! Anything with neroli in the title gets my attention. Of course longevity and performance could be better, but for 20 bux it's a good cheapie out-the-shower that lasts longer than my beloved 4711. The woods definitely take the high ground on my skin, so don't overspray or you'll be tasting it. I don't care about it being slightly floral and (slightly) feminine. For the manly men, just get Bvlgari Wood Neroli.

Truly unisexy. Bright and crisp opening without being sharp. Dries down to a quintessentially “clean laundry” scent without smelling like a fabric softener sheet. This is what I have been looking for, for my hot Texas weather. This is what I wish Green Tea was. Great blind buy. Love it so much! My second from BR and both have been bangers. (Dark Cherry and Amber was the other and it’s amazing.)

dont know about the darker ones but the entire fresh BR icon line is superb. this one is no exception and is comfortably up there with the likes of NP and Bright Neroli. neroli frags often lean feminine due to the note itself but with the infusion of smooth woods this leans more masculine. another sublime summertime frag from BR, well done those guys!

I love neroli, so I love this. Smells clean, similar to other neroli frags like Neroli Portofino and 4711. Just a nice, clean, white floral. Higher quality than you'd expect, but low performance. That is just how it is with neroli though, pretty much. But this one is cheap you can overspray and enjoy. This scent is clean and will not offend anyone.

This is a banger. Simple, well blended. Beautiful neroli smell, not overly feminine. Uplifts the mood. Can't beat it at the price. I personally think the Banana Republic line stands way above the others in the price range they are sold at. Got a 2.5oz bottle for $12.99.. Definitely going to snag a backup bottle.

I love it. I am not a fan of coconut smell but fortunately, I cannot detect any coconut in this perfume. The neroli note is not so sharp like Atelier Grand Neroli, it is spreaded in a more tender way. The wood note in the base is perfect, gentle and cozy, still comfortable in a summer day.

This is insanely good value. Smells identical to TF Neroli Portofino for a fraction of the price. I don't know why some people say the performance is weak, personally I get excellent performance with just 3-4 sprays. Good sillage and easy 6-8 hours before it becomes a skin scent.

A beautiful, beachy and soapy fragrance for an excellent price (marked down to $12.99 at Burlington). Neroli signifies summer is here! It also lasts, I sprayed it on before I went to bed (and could smell it in the morning). It reminds me of Bobbi Brown’s Beach and Celine Parade.

Love this scent. A great option for warm weather, if you aren’ta fan of all the “blue” headache inducing teenage gym scents that all the Tik Tokkers think are amazing. Layers beautiful under Elixir for a more night time summer scent. I do 4 sprays neroli to 2 elixir.

Perfect for warm weather, fresh and non-offensive in my humid, tropical climate. It's as close to TF Neroli Portofino as I'm ever going to get and I'm grateful to have it. The bottle is very classy, weighty cap. This is very good value for the money.

This falls in the orange blossom/neroli category. A very good scent, great quality from a clothing company. let's be honest here. I was shocked at the price. This smells 10 times better than le labo neroli 36 let alone the price difference.

Delicious, fizzy and tangy - a lovely opening that makes me feel revitalized and charged. As with all neroli scents - rather fleeting in nature but oh, what a fragrance! Bought two at TJMaxx for $21 a piece. What a find!

I love this fragrance!! Neroli is a beautiful scent in itself. I do tend to drift towards sweeter perfumes but lately I've been getting more & more into unisex scents. I find this to be exactly unisex. I highly suggest!

This one is nice. Very floral, again like the other 2 recent banana republics (tobacco/vanilla & cherry amber) not very unisex. Much more feminine. But it has a very nice honeysuckle vibe to it. Good for pillow sprays.

Very nice. Does smell like 4711 and other "cologne" type scents. I enjoy how the woody notes balance the brightness of the Neroli. Longevity good for this type of scent...3-4 hours. A solid offering by BR.

I use this as a refreshing, uplifting home fragrance. It's not the longest lasting, but lasts longer when sprayed on fabric and I don't mind reapplying. It might be one of my favorite neroli fragrances.

Basically 95% acqua essenziale colonia and 4711 but with better performance than 4711. I like it a bit more than colonia though because the neroli is puahed out a little more

This replaced TF Neroli portofino for me, its just better in terms of longevity and village. If you've smell Neroli portofino this is almost the exact same thing, almost.

Fresh, bright and much better than the price would suggest. Lasts much longer than TFNP on me. Bargain.

So does it smell a ton like Neroli Portofino ? No, but it is definitely within its DNA. The TF is much more citrus forward, brighter with bolder notes. This takes on a very green white floral form. At first you get a blast of green citrus leaves with very noticeable Neroli. You do get the slight splash of the coconut. As it continues to settle down on the skin it gets more Neroli forward and takes on kind of a lotion type of scent from the mid note florals. What I did t get that much were the woods. The Neroli is so forward that it drowns out a lot of the woods . That or the ebony and cedar are mixing well with the mid florals that it's giving that slight smooth lotion like smell. Overall it is a good fragrance and I do believe that $20-$30 a bottle is a great price . It's not a complex fragrance but it does have a few levels and smells really nice. It's very bright fresh and uplifting. The sharp greenness keeps it from becoming too feminine which the entire time I was just waiting for. I do think it sllliiiiightly leans feminine but it is unisex. I can totally see some feeling it leans a bit feminine. Performance, it's not very good. You get those sharp green white floral citrus leaf notes projecting for a good 45 minutes. After that you get the fresh Neroli light lotion scent for another 45 minutes and an intimate skin scent after. It's almost gone after like 3 hours. Just on my skin to get decent performance for about 4 hours I need about 6 or 7 sprays. But this stuff is cheap. So I really don't mind a couple refresher sprays . Yes fresh fragrances are never meant to last but this one is below average even for citrus freshies . Versatility, I don't really need to get into that. It's pretty obvious when this works. I give this fragrance a 7/10

This is quite the heavy hitter, if you like a big citrus opening. It’s clean, and very soapy (in a good way, to my nose), to the point that I almost smell the texture of soap - if that’s even possible. There’s actually a tang on my tongue when I bring my wrist to my nose. On my skin it has almost an ozonic quality, which I absolutely love, and, combined with the citrus, reminds me of the air in Cyprus. Incidentally, it feels like a real blast from the past - specifically a French Connection perfume (I believe it was their first), which launched (straining my memory) in the UK around the mid-late 1990s. It was just called French Connection, and doesn’t appear to be listed in Fragrantica under FCUK (that name came a few years later). In fact, I can barely find any reference to it online (and only one obscure photo of bottle and box together), although it was developed in collaboration with Jo Malone. In any case, it was a unisex scent (all the thing at the time) and fairly popular. Came in a plain white cardboard box, and the bottle was a clear glass rectangular prism. When I sprayed Neroli Woods, I recalled that fragrance instantly. One I hadn’t thought about in 25+ years. I love how scent can do that. This is quite powerful, but if you enjoy citrus soapiness (as I do), I highly recommend!

Neroli Woods is one of the many clones of Neroli Portofino, and a decent one at that, but slightly less 'bright' and a tad more soapy. It's not entirely fair to judge it against Tom Ford, so I put it side to side against Porto Neroli by Maison Alhambra. The Maison Alhambra dupe is stronger, more uplifting, fresher, and most definitely has more kick. It's extremely close in scent to the Tom Ford original, and surpasses it for sillage and longevity. Neroli Woods by BR is nice, but subtle, and has far less projection. Surprisingly, NW did have the same longevity as Porto Neroli- I could smell both on my wrists for a good 5 hours, but PN noticeably kicked for a good 3 to 4 hours then started to fade whereas Neroli Woods instantly because a skin scent. Unless you're looking for a subdued, less "neroli" smelling fragrance that only those who give you a hug will smell, I suggest getting the Maison Alhambra version because that one is just as good but also has decent projection. Got BR's Neroli Woods at Burlington for $20 and MA's Porto Neroli on Amazon for about the same, so price is equivalent.

Another good one from BR's Icon series line up. It's definitely a unisex scent that offers a crisp, clean and quite easy to wear for anytime of year just as a casual or inoffensive office wear fragrance. The Neroli at first spritz is front and center followed by the green leafy Mandarin note. The sweetness of the Coconut peeks in an out once it settles but, it's not constant and is tempered by the floral notes of the Orange blossom & peony. From there it's just florals with a nice woods drydown accompanied by an ambery like tone. All this for about 4-5 hours of duration which is not bad considering the cash outlay of $20 or less. If you have expensive tastes for filet mignon (TFNP or MFK Acqua Universalis) but, are more in line with a Big Mac or a Whopper in terms of affordability, this will fit the bill nicely. Bottom line is if your a Neroli fan regardless of price, this is a great alternative to other more expensive fragrances in the genre.

I was recently gifted this scent by my son. I think this scent, although it is unisex does lean slightly more feminine in the dry down due to the floral accord (although I think defining scents is not necessary, wear what makes you feel good!). On my skin it opens with a lovely citrus, I definitely get the neroli which always puts me in mind of summer time sunscreen! The slight woodiness in the dry down keeps it from being too 'sun lotion' smelling, if that makes sense? It is not a silage monster nor does it have much longevity. I have found that I really like pairing it with BBW Coco Paradise lotion and mist to assist with both those issues. They share the same scent profile and the CP plays up the coconut in the Neroli Woods. It is a sultry, summertime date night combo for me, makes me feel like I just stepped off a pretty beach!

November 2020 This is like the name says - a neroli frag with a wood base. No, this is not TF NP or 4711. Those 2 are more aromatic. What stands out to me is that the Solar Note and Amber gives this a stickyness/denseness/thickness that makes it last longer than the usual effervescent neroli frag. I'm sure a lot of ppl like that but it doesnt come across as "fresh" as I expected. This is signed by Patricia Choux (thanks Fragrantica for not giving her any credit) and can be currently bought for $20 at your local Burlington. Coincidentally, Choux also did another neroli frag called LIQUID SUN by Thalia Soli that you can currently get for $20 at Burlington. I slightly prefer Liquid Sun to Neroli Woods since it seems more purely neroli but they are both good.

I stumbled on a bottle of this at Marshalls for $19 and blind bought it. I fully expected a half-hearted chemical neroli eclipsed in 5 minutes by an overbearing woody amber. Instead I got a lucid bergamot top note that smells like someone dribbled citrus juice on my wrist, followed by the most lusciously natural neroli note, with subtle underpinnings of cypress and cedar (I have to press my nose into my skin to get these wood notes). A crisp, clean, natural, and utterly happy eau de cologne style fragrance that Banana Republic packaged in a gorgeous bottle and box. Either the label-maker chopped the "0" off after the "9" on the price tag, or this house gave neroli lovers like me a freebie by accident. A masterpiece.

I picked this up blind after seeing it highly praised on frompyrgos.blogspot and I'm glad I did. This is all the luxury hotel seaside resort soapiness you could ever want, without any heavy oriental fougere accords bogging it down (you know which frag I'm talking about.) A seaside vacation in a bottle, with much needed brightness for these times we are in now. Immersive room-like ambience (modern but with a timeless vibe) and totally unisex. It's frankly amazing how a brand like Banana Republic released a conservative and high brow, traditional EDC style scent like this in a world where all the high designer (and "niche," masstige) globo brands churn out vats of degenerate swill flankers with no end in sight.

This fragrance has a great citrus-fresh scent profile with some delicate lily of the valley florals, but it wears more like a body spray than a cologne/perfume. It's something that I think you would have to apply at least once an hour, maybe every 45 minutes. It reminds me of that Givenchy Eau Givenchy in the clear glass bottle with the white cap. It has the same citrus/floral combo but the Eau Givenchy is far superior in longevity and projection (where I am at it is hard to find though). But I would choose Eau Givenchy 10 times out of ten over this one. I'll mark it a 4/5 just because I enjoy the scent profile.

Very pleasant. Sharp citrus with a very good neroli note. Light woods come in later after the opening. I get only a small amount of the coconut nectar in the background but if I wouldn't have read the note break down I wouldn't have been able to point it out since it's not prominent. Spray pretty heavy because it is very light clean neroli in the dry down. I go 6-8 sprays compared to my 3-5 for most fragrances. If you don't like white florals you will probably not like this because that's what I mostly get, citrus and white floral. Like someone said below, very honeysuckle like.

This was a satisfying Blind Buy . This has a very unisex scent profile. It smells fresh citrusy and floral like and slightly sweet as neroli usually does. This scent is nice because it has a nice pleasant scent that you mainly smell up close. It doesn’t have a lot of sillage or projection but this has a pretty moderate longevity especially for a fresh scent. i put this on and maybe after about hour 5 it became a bit faded but still noticeable skin scent. I also find this scent very relaxing to wear . It really had me in a good mood at work!

Good hot weather perfume. I gravitate toward neroli fragrances for summer and this is one of my favorites among the 12-15 I've tried so far. It's beautifully rounded out by the floral and wood notes. I like that the coconut is not prominent to my nose, so it's wearable beyond the sunscreen and vacation vibe spectrum. So far I have enjoyed the half dozen Banana Republic fragrances I have tried to date, none are scrubbers for me.

It's good but I'm a tad bit disappointed. The opening, you get a blast of citrus and I wish it stayed around to the dry down. A very clean soapy white floral is what I got after 5 minutes. Reminds me of those small decorative seashell shaped soaps people kept in a their bathrooms in the 90's. Straight down the line as a unisex scent. I personally would wear it occasionally but would come closer using it as a bed sheet spray.

Fantastic value. Nothing to say that already hasn’t been mentioned below. Lemonbuns review is spot on. If I were to add to the review, I would say skip the 5-7 sprays and lay down 10-12😁😁😁. You might be a bit loud for the first hour (but who cares...this is so non-offensive) but you’ll get the longevity you want from this. If you find this at discounters, and like neroli based fragrances, you can NOT pass this one by.

Pretty good for the price. I get bitter floral, citrusy, woodsy scent. Smells really fresh, clean, and uplifting. Very pleasant smell that could garner you compliments. This is a great cheapie floral scent that Is unisex but does lean a little more masculant to me. Worth a try if you can sample it. Best bang for the buck so far when it comes to the typical neroli-focused scent, IMO. There are some that are way too expensive for what I consider to be very minute differences, but a lot of cheapies just smell too cheap. This one hits a good spot between the scent, quantity, and price. However, the projection and longevity do leave a bit to be desired.

For the price and what this is ....its pretty good, It is like a better version of 4711, it last a lot longer but basically anything last longer than 4711 but a huge difference is as it drys down it becomes a musky floral scent that sits very close to the skin, I would say this leans unisex, this would be a great refreshing daytime summer scent

Not my usual type of scent, but got it for $20 at Marshalls and is probably one of the best blind buys I’ve made. I didn’t think I liked Neroli, but this is so nice and pleasant without being too sweet, which is usually what rubs me the wrong way. Looking forward to some summer wearings. Grab it if you see it.
