Tuberose Overdose

I love this fragrance so much I bought it twice in one week! I first found the 1oz bottle at Burlington for $12.99 and decided to blind buy and give it a shot since it was such a great price. Wow, was I glad I did! A few days later I went in search of the larger 2.5oz bottle and found it at a different store for $19.99 so now I will use the smaller one for traveling. I live in a hot, humid, climate so I think it works as a perfect every day scent. I don't see myself wanting to wear this when it is cold out but I definitely love it in warmer weather. I am not great at describing notes and have a hard time determining individual notes in fragrances but this one smells fruity and tropical to me but with a sharp kick which I enjoy. If you find this for a steal and enjoy unisex leaning fruity floral scents you may want to check this one out.

Love at first sniff! Beautiful, sweet, bubblegum tuberose. If you love Armani My Way, Givenchy L'interdit EDP, Mancera Velvet Vanilla or Ralph Lauren Woman, you might like this. IMO, it's a similar kind of tuberose as in those I listed. It is a nice and bright perfume. Its uplifting and pleasant with great longevity, about 8 hours on my skin and moderate sillage. Though unisex, I think it leans more feminine. The presentation is also good. Nice little gem🥰

One of the best. Most straightforward Tuberose fragrances. Ever. No bubble gum. No sour sweet. Just pure beautiful Tuberose. The jasmine the apple and the Ambroxan are center stage in the first blast. Absolutely polarized with the tuberose mixture. Another beautiful almost coral orange bottle and packaging. True Tuberose lovers NEED to grab this. It is a world class attempt. The collezione riservata collection is just stunning. 10/10!!!

Very similar to Armani my way, maybe 80%. Is a tad more light and fresh and I get a little salt there as well. Reminds me of salty ocean breeze. Imagine My Way infused with ocean air and a tart energizing green apple, and that bubblegummy tuberose, dries down to a lovely zesty scent. Not as woodsy as I thought it would be. Reduced to a skin scent at the 3 hr mark but lasted on skin for about 6 hrs. Not bad for the price.

Woww, I literally get A LOT of tuberose with this! Beautiful, bright, uplifting perfume, similar to My Way, L'Interdit, So Scandal (almost identical with My Way especially). Projection and longevity are surprisingly great. There's youthful non-cloying sweetness and it's very cheerful overall. It's not something really unique , but it's a lovely happy everyday perfume for student-friendly price.

Love this frag. Definitely leans aggressively into to the "so much tuberose it smells like bubble gum" category. Sweeter than Diptyque Do Son, not as sweet as Armani My Way. Bought it from a mall kiosk and overpaid. Would look for a deal or a TJ/K Maxx if rebuying it.

This smells amazing on my wife! Stunning even. Not sure if Tuberose simply works well with her skin chemistry, but it drives me wild!! Lasts a good 6 hours on her neck...I just want to bury my nose in her neck every time she wears it.

Also agree is is My Way-esque. Beautiful, sweet, floral, bubblegum. I really, really love this one. For $20 at Burlington, you can't beat it!

Well if you have My Way any version...you don't need this in my opinion. Great fragrance if you don't though.

My best friend owns this and every time I’m in her room I pick it up, uncap it, and huff the sprayer. It’s not something I would think to wear, or buy for myself (I don’t go for very floral forward scents), but it’s really yummy and I love the feel and color of the bottle, too. I don’t have it on me and my memory of it is light, but I can tell you I don’t smell the ginger or gourmand notes. It’s really delicious, well balanced and inoffensive perfume, surprising for a sweet fruity tuberose-bomb floral. Looking at the long list of notes from a variety of categories... I would think it would be chaotic. It’s really not. Excellently crafted perfume. Mmmmmm P.S. I don’t understand ppl saying it smells like bubblegum. Edit: hugged my friend yesterday and asked if she was wearing perfume, because she smelled good, it was this! I was surprised because she smelled very woodsy, and not floral.

Males perspective: This is outstanding. I'm surprised of the fragrances quality and smoothness that a brand like Banana Republic can push out. These truly are hidden gems, and arguably better than most designer (Versace, Dior, Prada, etc) creates nowadays. From my nose, the first 20min is intensely fruity bubblegum...but that fades in about 1/2 hour and then the florals (tuberose forward) kicks in. Very well blended indeed. After a while, the woods really make it to the surface and the rest of the fragrance is just floral with a very dense/dry woody blanket. It's the woodyness in the dry down that makes this unisex, as the opening to me is very feminine. But the woods, is very rich and "amberwood". It's that same amberwood molecule (Ambrocinide) that made Dior Sauvage famous....it's it's very apparent in this fragrance.

I like the scent, but the name is very misleading. This smells like a sweet, juicy, fruity perfume rather than tuberose. On my skin, none of the floral notes really stand out even after it dries down. Great performance on my skin and the smell stays consistently sweet and fruity for several hours. Amazing value for the quality as well. I got this for AUD$72 (incl. 20% off Boxing Day sale) for the 150ml bottle.

To second @perfume_madness this is a really good My Way - type perfume. Sweet tuberose. Great value for the quantity. Dries down a bit too woody on my skin but apart from that it’s a great fragrance. I love tuberose perfumes and am glad to have this one as a reference point in my collection.

#888 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a decant from FragrancesLine. Tuberose is not something I particularly like or dislike in a scent, so I would not choose this Banana Republic scent for myself. To me it's a tough note to do something interesting with for male fragrance hunters, but I know a lady that likes white floral scents, so I decided to check this out. This isn't at all what I was expecting. With a name like "Tuberose Overdose" I kind of expected to be choked on white floral notes, like BDK's "Tubereuse Imperiale." But it's actually very moderately floral. The white florals are balanced with the darker notes of woods, praline, vanilla, amber. It certainly leans feminine. A guy could get away with it, though most men, if they were interested in tuberose at all, would probably go for a more traditionally male scent like Lacoste "Eau de Lacoste L.12.12." I thought Serge Lutens' discontinued "Tuberose Criminelle" was more interesting, but not interesting enough for me to pay an eBay scalper $200 for a scent I only ever wore occasionally because my then girlfriend disliked it. This scent offers moderate performance, and I think it's versatile for any wear. Nothing about this particularly stands out. It's just a nice pleasant scent that I think any age group can wear in any setting. Just not for me.

I think I like really like tublerose now. Not that I disliked it before but after owning Diptyque’s DoSon EDT (for some reason I did not enjoy the notes of the EDP. I found I like the EDT much more) and Gucci Bloom Profumo di Fiori, I noticed I really enjoy this note. Now, when I initially smelled this perfume in the BR Outlet store, I loved it. Went back the next day and bought a bottle. I don’t know what happens but to me it is smelling more like fruit sangria (in a bad way) than tublerose and the other notes. It’s extremely fruit punchy sweet/sour and I find the latter sour note to be so of putting. I can’t return it since it is open so I may sell it online or trade with my fragrance friend at work.

I bought this at Burlington today because I’ve had positive experiences with tuberose. I love Blanche Bete, Her Confession, and Scandal Absolu, which all have a decent amount of tuberose. I can tell that this is a quality fragrance. It doesn’t smell cheap. It smells like they used good quality ingredients, but I just didn’t love the result. I guess I don’t enjoy so much tuberose on its own. I can see why someone might enjoy it, but I don’t think I’d wear it when I have many other fragrances that I love. If you love tuberose, I think this could be a good choice.

336 Hmm...I found this to be a mainstream generic candy floral. Nothing bad or special about it. Moderate strength. There is something like a nice shampoo or shower soap aroma about it. Overdose on fruity candy... 7/10-sweet, tart, and boring

Smells like one of those sweet scented markers when you were a a kid lol. Nice smell but I cant imagine in which occasion? Love it though

I got this perfume at Burlington last month. It was a blind buy, but I figured I'd like it because it had notes I thought I liked. This is my 2nd tuberose perfume. My 1st was Gucci Bloom. I adore Bloom and I still wear her to this day. But there's something about this tuberose that I just don't like. It definitely smells more like bubble gum than the tuberose I get in Bloom. Which I dislike. There's also a sharpness to the scent that I can't place. My nose isn't super trained yet... maybe it's the black currant since that seems to also be a big note in this fragrance? I even let it macerate for one month like some other reviewers on other fragrances suggest doing, but I still dislike the scent. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it for a blind buy.

Snort. Yeah, blaming another reviewers noses' interpretation for your own disappointment with a scent is juvenile. We all smell things differently, all of us . I bet you also think it's skin chemistry instead of physiology that makes a perfume smell so good on you. A review is a persons own personal experience with a scent, not an advertisement. Write your own review about your own experience. I read the reviews, was interested, tracked it down and it tuns out it wasn't for me, the amber/woody aroma chemical overwhelmed my nose. But then again, I'm not easily influenced by a persons personal interpretation of something and then blame them when it doesn't match theirs, lol. Okay, rant's over.

The initial spray was not at all what I was expecting. Where was the tuberose that I was hoping to overdose on? The review below by cherubi rubi captures it perfectly. This doesn’t smell like tuberose at all, but smells like generic candied floral with fruity and gourmand notes. I found it cloying and cheap.. smells like your average overplayed department store designer floral and reminds me of the scent of overpowering hairspray, body spray or shampoo wafting off of a passing stranger in public. The praline and apple really stand out to me with a vague synthetic floral overtone.. perhaps slightly jasmine-like if I really had to categorize it but it doesn’t really smell like any real flower. Absolutely no tuberose to be found here. With all due respect, I couldn’t disagree more with the review below that mentions “One of the best. Most straightforward Tuberose fragrances. Ever.”, “Just pure beautiful Tuberose” and “True Tuberose lovers NEED to grab this” and found it misleading as someone who was sought this out anticipating full-blown tuberose. A few hours after applying, softer floral notes with fresh musky woods remained after other louder notes have evaporated. It’s a bit creamy and earthy. This phase is actually pleasant, but it’s definitely not worth enduring the initial candied floral fruity gourmand circus for me. If you want to try this because you love true tuberose fragrances, do yourself a favor and do not waste your money, but if you like fruity floral gourmands, you will probably like this.

If you struggle with ambrocenide, you will really struggle with this. So think of that niggling aromachemical in Erba Pura, Swiss Arabian Oud Ahmar and also Mind Games Caissa, if those bother you, then this also will. Ambrocenide is all I could smell.

Where is the tuberose ? This was a blind buy, I truly thought this was going to be a floral beauty, but NO! This smells like a fruit juice, way to sweet, no florals at all! No thank you.

This fragrance is gorgeous. I'd say it's front-loaded, but those top notes linger for a few hours before gradually fading out, so I'll say it's actually just very linear. Tuberose Overdose represents a clutch of white and yellow tropical florals that all smell similar, and I guess the tuberose is the star of the show (I'm starting to "get" what tuberose smells like in perfumery terms), but there's also jasmine and frangipani in here, all lending the floral accord a sweet, warm, banana-like creamy floral quality. I get a few fruits as well, some apple, currant, peach, and a hint of mango, and all of this is laid atop what I suspect is Symrise's Ecomusk R® material, which is Symrise's answer to Givaudan's SylkolideTM. There's a hyper-modernized finesse to the musky/soft/powdery effect in the drydown four or five hours in. Longevity is only so-so (maybe you can eke-out six hours) and projection is moderate, quite good in the first hour. Christelle Laprade managed to take a conventional fruity-floral brief and make it into something fairly simple, maybe six or seven notes, yet quite good.

I tried French flower (by Matiere Premiere) yesterday and this has a very similar vibe! (Although it’s not quite as potent). It’s a woody, linear (earthy) tuberose, it’s not particularly sweet - even though it says it contains vanilla. It has a strong ambroxan base. On my skin I don’t pick up on any of the other florals or fruit - but it does have a crisp and elevated opening (probably the apple and ginger combo). Tuberose overdose is really pleasant. I’m warming up to white flowers and this is nice. Totally unisex. UPDATE: In the dry down (7 hours after application and still going strong) I smell vanilla and there is a touch of sweetness to the fragrance - but I had to wait for it.

This reminds me more of Jasmine Freak from Room 1015 than it does of My Way. Bright, intense juicy, fruity tuberose and jasmine with just a hint of the overly candy sweet orange blossom feel that My Way is known for. I hate My Way, but I can vibe with this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume. It starts with a fresh and light opening that feels uplifting, then settles into a warm, comforting base that lasts for hours. Elegant yet easy to wear, it suits both casual and special moments.

This is a dupe for MY WAY-straight up. It has a bit more cleaner and soapy smell compared to MY WAY that is sweeter. I’m just putting out here since I bought it but already have the original My WAY

This is very similar to My Way. More floral and a ton more ambroxan. Very mass appealing, borderline obnoxious until the ambroxan calms down.
