Lavande in Love

Don't let the name fool you, this isn't a lavender-centric fragrance. Definitely some lavender stems in the mix, but the star of the show is lime. More-so lime leaf, blossom and peel rather than the fruit. Super bitter, salty and savoury. So gorgeously fresh. Lots of wonderful, photorealistic cypress. Such a gorgeous aromatic greenery that feels super lush. This one really puts me in a place. The dry-heat of limestone cliffs, cooled down by ocean spray coming off the Mediterranean. Could be too bitter for some. But if you're ok with some bitterness, she is a must-try. + Performance is pretty good, but wish it was a touch better. VERDICT: STUNNING. Full-bottle worthy.

Wowza, this is pretty! I've never smelled such a unique lavender scent that doesn't smell like straight aromatherapy oil or stuffy/soapy potpourri. The lavender is prominent but mixed with garden herbs (sage and rosemary) and a bright, crisp lime note, then grounded out with a light wood note (birch). I smell every note so distinctly but they all play beautifully together. Like the previous comment mentioned, I can't believe this scent has been so under reviewed- it's incredibly different and pretty. I also feel like it's truly unisex- just a cool, fresh and clean scent. It reminds me of sitting in a herb garden on a breezy summer day, sipping limeade.

Oh this is a lovely one. Super fresh and aromatic, perfectly summery, not at all sweet. It’s definitely a sister of Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt. For me they’re not different enough to warrant having both, but if this scent profile is your favourite, you may feel differently. I love that Bastide do reasonable 10ml travel sprays too 🙌🏻

I have a new love, and it is, pretty much, the whole Bastide line of products. This is the best lavender/lime fragrance in the world. It is a soft and inoffensive and quite unique freshie. As uplifting and natural as it is easy and beautiful. Summer vacation and salt air all come to mind if you close your eyes. I smell a tang and bitterness of lime rind at the base throughout, a soft, powdery lavender and sage accord in the middle, and a soft whisper of distant orange blossom. Overall impression is sporty and uncomplicated as well as natural and elegant. You would wear linen and raffia with this. Sun hats. Sun and fresh air and maybe afternoon cocktails, yes, in the Mediterranean. Lively and full-bottle worthy.

Snapped this up during the Mecca boxing day sale, fell in love with it only to find out they were already clearing it out as Bastide decided to leave Mecca, according to customer service. Just saying: there was no way to discover how good this is unless it was given away as part of beauty loop or if only they had better deals from time to time just like how Sephora does it. This perfume is better than Wood Sage & Sea Salt by JM, imho. Both stay longer on clothes than on skin. They smell similar, but LIL has more character and staying power, even my husbad loves it on me. Only problem now is where to get LIL after I run out. It’s beautifully shining in this scorching Australian summer.

Very clean and limey, someone said it’s not soapy but I have to disagree, I do feel like it’s soapy. I would call this a young feminine fougere scent. There is something so soft about it; the image that comes to mind is sheets drying in a summer day. I am not sure how a man who’s pushing 30 like me would be able to pull this off without layering it with something more masculine. I feel like it’s missing something, maybe a hint of Neroli ? I don’t know. Longevity and sillage are abysmal btw

this opens with lavender, lime and herbs, with a prominent rosemary note. the lavender is fresh and realistic, not the more soapy/fougere kind. it's aromatic and refreshing. the tonka adds a hint of sweetness to round things out. it's herbal but not soapy, which i love. cannot wait to try this one in hot weather-i think it'll be perfect.

Tried at Mecca. Wow, after a whole day it still clings to my coat for sure. The drydown is like Not a Perfume. Opening has a clear lime. Overall it's a good one at this price point.

I'm stunned more people have not reviewed this fragrance. It's pure, delightful lavender that smells so fresh on the skin, you'll want to constantly have your wrist plastered to your nose. And yet...it doesn't last long and has nearly no sillage. I like perfumes that leave a trail, or at least ones I can smell at my desk, while I work. What's the point of wearing something if you can't smell it? It's a shame, because the price for a 3.4 oz bottle isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things.

This is refreshing and nostalgic in a way that’s very comforting. I’ve come to the realization that I don’t just like fragrance, but the feelings, memories, and stories that certain fragrances create. When it just smells like you, & elevates your mood, that’s what I love about perfumes and brands like these.

This is a nice, fresh, and clean Lavender scent that is great for Spring and Summer. It is not powdery like many others. It wears close to the skin but people around you can catch whiffs. This is definitely a unisex eau de toilette. The scent last about 6-8 hours. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this yet.

For me it is a very cold fragrance. Lavender is too sharp and medicinal. I feel this would work better in a man’s chemistry.
