A Thousand Wishes 2020 Edition

I have the body spray and lotion. I like the lotion scent of it best, as it is soft and sweet. It is reminiscent of a Shirley temple, but I do think it is elegant. The amber is warm without mustiness, and the peony is feminine without sharpness. I want the EDP! *edited for autocorrect mistake

ATW hasn't been reformulated as far as I can tell, I've had a bunch of products in this scent over the years, and I wore it a lot in 2019-2020 in particular. It's really quite lovely, and does have a perfumey scent that rivals mainstream designer releases. It's a little bubbly and effervescent, but it has a delicious almondy undertone. I wouldn't have thought sparkling wine and almond would pair so well together, but they truly do. This is unique enough to be memorable, which is always a quality I value. It's not however, challenging at all, and I think most people enjoy it (I've certainly reviewed positive feedback). It's safe, but fun. It isn't overly sophisticated, but B&BW doesn't tend to be. Despite the wintery leaning notes, it fares well in any season. Longevity and sillage are on the low end of the spectrum, but layering really helps. Plus, the lotion is my favorite anyway, it's extra yummy. 🥂✨️ (Cross posted to other listing.)

This fragrance is one that you can't go wrong with, whether it's for gifting or for yourself -- it's a safe buy. A Thousand Wishes is a fragrance that you can wear if you just want to smell good, while not looking for a particular smell. To me, it's an anytime anywhere type of fragrance. You will definitely smell the fruity note first and then the amber. The floral note is like an afterthought like it's in the background, and surprisingly, it comes off as powdery to me.

Thousand Wishes 2020 smells exactly like our shampoo here in the philippines in a good way, believe me..😅🙏 this kinda smells like our Palmolive Pink shampoo here.. that's why pinoy vlogger Johnreyslife said that this is soapy, coz i'm pretty sure this scent is very familiar to her.. i so love this, but unsure if i'm goin' to repurchase this.. 🤔🤗

Bit too sweet for me, maybe suited more towards teens. Still a nice fragrance.

smells way better than the mist! more sweet and more longevity too!

This one is boring to me and doesn’t last, but my good friend gifted it to me for Christmas in 2020 so I kept it more out of politeness and as a reminder of her. I wish the almond or amaretto was more prominent. It’s nice, office friendly, but there’s nothing special about it. I feel like it’s missing something, maybe some warmth or sweetness. I really don’t see why BBW has kept it. They’ve had better scents that they’ve discontinued like Magic in the Air where the almond is more prominent. That is my #1 BBW scent.

I can spot this fragrance out in a crowd. It’s good but just overworn, in my opinion. By me, and most females in America. It’s honestly your typical sweet, musky berry scent that is geared to the masses. That doesn’t mean it isn’t good. It’s just not spectacular, in my humble opinion. I like it, just will probably never love it.

thousand wishes, the perfume, smells like the lotions and it just smells sour for some reason? I have no idea why i get that opening smell but overall it doesn't really smell that good to me. Just get the body sprays. The lotions and the edp isn't worth it.

I can't make up my mind on this fragrance even though it's nothing particularly special. It smells good but it's not as pleasing to me as it was before the reformulation. Quite weak lasting power in my opinion but as expected since it's L brands.

This review is for the original perfume not the repackaged reformulation they did in 2022. This is absolutely feminine, playful, girly, sweet yet fresh. The new formulation is watered down and it's unfortunate they decided to repackage and do that to this wonderful perfume. They also did that to the body spray version as well. That has a separate page on here if you wish to review that. I understand why this is a big favorite of many people. I made sure to buy 3 perfumes before they changed the packaging because I knew they were going to pull that shit, they did it to in the stars with new packaging for the fine fragrance mist as well in 2022(doesn't last long now). Got lucky to get in the stars perfume while it was around because that is completely gone and goes for outrageous prices but at least it lasts. Completely took away Dahlia fine fragrance mist and now I hear fairytale is on its way out. Thank God I have the perfume and fine fragrance mist for those as well. Moral of the story is if you like a scent stock up on it and if they make the matching perfume be sure to grab it because it won't be around for long. I bought 4 a thousand wishes perfumes before they changed it to water so if anyone wants 1 I may be willing to part with 1 of them for the right price.

I honestly used to hate this. I have no idea why... I love it now! It's so sweet and kind of rich, maybe? I don't get a bubbliness from the prosecco/champagne, which is honestly good because I'm wary of that sensation in a fragrance. ATW definitely gives classy, girly vibes. If you've ever seen the packaging of the body spray, lotion, etc., it really matches the scent and vibe here, and I enjoy that.

I love a Thousand Wishes, it's one of the fragrances I wore when I first started dating my boyfriend a few years ago so it's really sentimental for me. It's definitely not an everyday fragrance and I thing the lotion projects the best, but I think this is something I'll always have in my collection.

One of my favorites from Bath and Body works. This scent is very citrusy and sparkly due to the quince and champagne, but is paired with this sweet warm amber that is very beautiful. I love to pair this with good girl supreme to kind of round out the scent and provide more depth and lasting power.

While there are other lovely elements to this fragrance, to my nose there is a star anise or licorice note that seems to choke out the rest of it. I'm not a star anise/licorice fan - but if you love that, this may be your jam. Not a safe blind buy, IMO.

A thousand Wishes smells like a Shirley Temple to me. Extremely sweet, syrupy, sparkling and fizzy. I could see it being a great casual celebration scent, like chaperoning a kid's birthday party.

A safe buy. Generic sweet fruity smell. Like a Mon Paris infant cousin. Not like black opium AT ALL. Waaay too juicy to even be related to black opium.
