Amethyst Waves

I love this! This was an unexpected love, and to me, doesn't really reflect its notes. This, to me, is a light and clean, yet creamy, sweet, fluffy coconut (I suppose I'm picking up the sandalwood as coconut). It's not a tropical or beachy coconut, but one that I want to spray on after a shower or before/after a workout.

I’m such a sucker for berry and sandalwood scents. This fragrance mist is a blend of fruity, fresh and earthy scents making it perfect for everyday wear. Something about it smells familiar but I can’t pin point what it reminds me of. The packaging is beautiful as well.

Smells familiar but it’s a safe scent. The berries and sandalwood in this mist are mixed beautifully. It’s a light scent that is great for every day wear. There is a slight powder note that does make me apprehensive but it fades away before i can dwell on it. Not a fan of powdery smells. Not sure who voted this as overpriced but you can definitely get this on a sale for $5 — even $18 isn’t bad compared to designer perfumes / mists. *** The familiar smell. I figured it out! The “wild blooms” that is listed in this mist smells of “Honey Wildflowers” another B&BW mist. The Wild Blooms note hits you — then the sandalwood and finally the end is the nice berry scent.

This has a beautiful sweet berry note and a soft woody base. (Edit: Someone here said they pick up honey and now I can’t unsmell it. It smells like honey covered berries and very soft sandalwood.) It's not overly complex and it's easy to wear for everyday. I'm sad so say the berry note goes away quite fast and all I'm left with is the woody base. The scent isn't long lasting. It barely lasts 30 minutes on me. I have to overspray and hope for the best and even then I can't smell it within a couple hours. I like this but I'm disappointed at the lasting time of most recent Bath & Body Works mists.

It smells much more fruity than woody or floral on my skin. I don't mind since it's very light. Fun to layer with different perfumes.

I love how light this scent is, it is addicting and smells like flowers and sandalwood :)

This reminds me of Rare Amethyst by Avon, just a bit warmer. It's nice.

All I get from this is straight-up sandalwood, from start to finish. It's fairly soft and mellow at least so it doesn't knock you out but I find it extremely linear. Sandalwood is a challenging note on my skin as it tends to turn sour, no doubt a skin chemistry issue. I don't hate it but I don't exactly like it, I rated it as "ok" up above in the ranking section. I'm going to keep testing it out in hopes that at some point, it'll sit better with me or perhaps I might find something to layer with it that will make it more tolerable. Unlike the reviewer below, I can't detect any berry note at all (but I wish I could!) and lasting time for me was not a problem, it stayed on my skin all day long.

I bought this one as a pair with Emerald Mist. Whilst I totally enjoyed how strong and long-lasting Emerald Mist is on me, Amethyst Waves didn't quite live up to my expectations as I thought it would. The opening is a blast of berries with a grounded sandalwood scent. I don't sense much floral quality in it. It barely lasts 30 minutes and it sits intimately on my skin, unlike Emerald Mist, which projects strongly. The dry down is just a faintly sweet, woody scent. This isn't a favourite. 7/10.

The smell reminds me of this shampoo and conditioner combo I used to have and I don't know how to feel about it.

This is such a light scent, that I could not even smell much. Super airy, light, almost not noticeable to me.
