Ballet Nights

This is maybe my favorite bbw release ever. It smelled just like the old aromatherapy scent they used to carry called black currant and vanilla(sensual) It's extremely sultry, sexy, seductive, smokey, all the s words. It's similar to dark kiss from bbw. Just add some powdery vanilla, and smokey incense. The more I wear it the more I smell blueberry which is such an interesting blend for such a dark fragrance. I swear I smell a spiced blueberry muffin in this dna.. as dark as it is it's equally gourmand.. It's heavy and amazing for cold weather. I'm a little sad I have to take a break from wearing it in the heat. It won't shine it's brightest with hot weather. It's a sultry, ambery, witchy, musky dream. I wish I could find something in EDP form. I read a commenter mentioned mouboussin which I purchased for that reason and I find them to be polar opposites. Mouboussin just gave me powder bomb white diamonds era vibes. If anyone knows something similar to ballet nights please let me know :) Bbw so rarely comes out with such an interesting and mysterious blend. I can't recommend it enough.

i think the best decision i have ever made was buying this back in 2023 when it was on sale. i've never been a ballet dancer, but to me this is how i assume it smells to put on your ballet shoes backstage before a performance - quite literally a ballet night. its so warm and amberry, but the plum note pairs soooo well w the tonka/amber side of the perfume without making it too fruity. to be honest, at first i didn't like this scent and i somewhat picked up a leathery note on my skin (?? not sure if im just an idiot, or if i was genuinely getting a leather/shoe kinda smell), but once i gave it time i fell in love. it kinda smells like "a toast to you" imo, but just better. and the bottle is cute, which is a plus. this body mist gives me nostalgia for the ballet classes i never took as a kid. i hope if/when bath and body works brings this back it stays the exact same

This is one I almost passed by. Last year's (2023) fall scent were lit and I didn't even realize it until the last moment. Anyway, I keep hearing this is similar to Wicked Vanilla Woods, If that is the case I also need that as well. This is literally my favorite sweet smoky vanilla scent that I layer with almost anything (check my perfume timeline lol!) It is smoky, creamy, earthy, sweet, vanillic and incense-y. Such a deep and complex scent profile for Bath and body works. I brought 3 for back up because I know this was not a favorite amongst the masses so I had to stock up on this bad boy!

Hands down my favorite fragrance mist. This smells like a high end perfume. I don't even know how to explain this scent. Its like a creamy, sweet, berry scent with a woody ambroxan background. It also has a smoky quality to it that I love. It gives a patchouli vibe as well, even though I usually dislike that note, it really works in this one. Also, it smells nothing like Wicked Vanilla Woods, not sure why people are comparing them. Anyway, I literally bought like 5 backups because I knew this fragrance would be limited edition. This would make a gorgeous date night fragrance in any season.

This has got to be one of the best scents from BBW. It has this dark, mysterious, sexy and elegant blend. It lasts relatively longer than most mists made by BBW. It also has this smokey and boozy note with a tinge of sweetness (like whiskey), which I really, really adore. I have to agree with the other reviews here saying that it's closest to being a perfume. The amber note totally makes it smell so voluminous and seductive yet quite warm and enchanting. It's great for cold nights. I love it. It's my favourite and I hoarded some of these to last me a long time. Excellent find.

This smells way more expensive than what it is. Its rich, deep, and sexy but not in a matronly way. It doesn't smell like a body mist, it smells like an EDP. Its like a creamy plum and the tonka bean is very prominent as well. I also get an ambroxan note to it which some people love and others hate. I personally love it because I feel like it gives it that extra modern edge. I am so glad I got like 6 bottles while it was on sale. I don't think they sell this anymore.

This is the best scent B&BW has released last year. It`s sooo dark and sexy. That`s a love child of Everlasting Magic and Dark Kiss for me. A way stronger version of Everlasting Magic with a focus on the incense and some depth. While Everlasting Magic is somehwat light and powdery, Ballet Nights is deep, dark and strong. The dark berries are amazing and the addition of the tonka bean completes this perfect scent. This is by far my favourite scent from last year.

This is one of my favorites from B&BW. A lot of their sprays have what I call a "cheap note" and I don't detect that in this. My favorite is Blush Cardigan and this is maybe like it's older sibling. It's sweet, but not in a baked good way. I'm wearing it today with the body cream and I'm getting whiffs of it through the day.

This is one of my favorites by B&BW! It's a powder bomb, which I love powdery scents! I'm guessing it's from the amber and tonka bean.i can't detect the plum but I imagine that's what gives this the sweetness. It comes on strong for the first hour but fades and lingers all day. I think it's best for cooler weather.

very in line with b&bw's other more perfume-y scents. it's like the love child of wicked vanilla woods and the halloween maleficent scent--it's a deep, ambery vanilla with some earthy, patchouli-like nuances, and a dark plum note. it's not as sweet as wvs and not as tart as maleficent, but they all share that "dark" quality. it's not my favorite scent but it's definitely one of the b&bw mists that smells more expensive than it is, and it performs better than other, less perfume-y scents.

I don’t know what’s going on with this scent for me but I get patchouli on me! It honestly kind of smells like female Christ by 1969? I have a good sized sample of that and I smelled them side by side and they smell similar though of course the ballet nights smells sweeter and more wearable but there’s still some kind of musty patchouli basement underlaying smell. I kind of like it but I can see why some people may find this off putting.

It’s a dark, deep & rich scent off the bat. It mostly smells of sweet sugary amber to me, the plum smells more like berries & the tonka is identify-able . It can be surely confused with vanilla, but it’s deeper. Something about this oddly reminds me of blueberry sugar pancakes. Anyone else ?? I am grateful for the unique quality it has, and I will enjoy using it 💜 I can’t wait to try it in fall!

I got this from a friend that was decluttering. It makes me hungry lol it's very edible smelling but in a refined way. I see where people are coming from with the mature/old lady comparisons for sure because of the ambery almost sharp and spicy note, but I usually hate mature perfumes and I really like this. It's very comforting

Expensive vanilla and something bubbly. It's warm and rich and feels like a fancy party. I love the lingering vanilla after everything else fades away.

For some reason this reminds me of burberry her🧐

Ugh, Ballet Nights had me so hopeful. I really, really tried to like this one... I wanted to love it so badly. The name, the bottle, the way it starts off... everything just screams elegance and softness, like it’s about to be your next signature scent. And to be fair, the opening IS gorgeous. It’s sweet, soft, a little creamy- almost like vanilla and florals wrapped in satin. It feels like it’s going to be this dreamy graceful scent that lives up to its name. But then... something happens. There’s this weird metallic note that creeps in and completely throws me off. I don’t know what it is exactly, but it sits in the background and just lingers in a way that makes me a little nauseous. It almost smells like warm metal or perfume left in a hot car. Once I notice it, I can’t unsmell it- and it completely ruins what started as such a pretty scent. I wanted to push through and keep using it, but every time I try, that note hits me and I just can’t do it. It’s such a shame, because the first few minutes are honestly lovely.

warm amber with a little plastickiness. you can also pick up the sweetness from the wild plum and tonka cream but it’s nothing special. for a scent like this the longevity is pretty disappointing. remembering that i used to wear this as my gym scent gives me goosebumps 😭 in my defense it was winter and i don’t get b.o. when i sweat lol

I have never felt sick smelling something and this scent just makes me feel sick, something is wrong with it. Cannot be compared to wicked vanilla woods because that’s my favorite. I don’t know here if it’s the plum and tonka bean together feels off it just makes me nauseous. The notes seem to gone off, i don’t know what happened because when i just received it in the mail it didn’t feel like that only after few hours later it turned off.

Not very original, but nice for winter and as a former ballerina I'm into the whole ballet theme and I love the packaging, but the scent doesn't match the ballet theme imo as this is a heavy gourmand scent. This to me is more like Opera nights, it is rich and decadent like chocolates filled with liqueur and warm fur coats. I also realized how its opening has a baked goods vibe, kinda like the strawberry pound cake sweetness along with the dark spicy but juicy plum. The drydown is like a praline scent due to the tonka, along with the Blush Cardigan's wine-like sweetness without its heady violet note which I don't like - we don't have violet or other nausea inducing notes in Ballet Nights, at least for me. It's in the same league as Dream Bright, a berry-like sweetness paired with a spicy base, but Ballet Nights is more gourmand than Dream Bright or Dark Kiss. The subtle bakery note of the opening doesn't last sadly, but the Tonka maintains the warm cozy feel of the scent. It's spicy to me, but not smoky and it's not the patchouli type of earthy spice that I smell in Into the Night, but we could list it as its long cousin, both have amber, and Into the Night has raspberry like Blush Cardigan and the balsamic amber here amplifies the slightly sour effect of the plum so Ballet Nights' plum gives raspberry in my mind. It's a little bit of everything but amplified in a good way. Lasting power is so and so. Sprayed on clothes (my sweater and fur jacket) it smells even better and projects well. I put a sweater on my baby collie female dog and sprayed this on the sweater and she smelled delicious and the scent didn't bother her - she gets scared of body mists, they all smell toxic to her lol. Very reminiscent of Blush Cardigan to me as a vibe, so this one would be a Red Fur haha - I smell the same cough-syrup fruity sweetness, quite an alcoholic-like wine type of juicy sweetness, which I am not crazy about in both scents. Even though this one doesn't have any raspberry I am sensing that type of soft sweetness since the plum is not the very dark smoky unripe plum of Viva Vanilla or MK Twilight Shimmer and it is similar to the sweetness of Champagne Sprinkles which has raspberry. That's the part I like, whereas Blush Cardigan's raspberry is more sharp & intense to me. It also has the spicy but juicy plum of Dark Kiss, so I consider Ballet Nights in the same spicy league as Dark Kiss, even though they don't smell like eachother. It is not a medicinal sharp heavy plum (what unripe plum smells like to me) and it is a lot more subtle and softer than in Dark Kiss (no patchouli effect here). The tonka cream makes it warm, cozy and gourmand, so this elevates the whole scent. The amber is slightly unisex on me at first, but it is subtle. I like it more than Blush Cardigan.
