Black Tea

At first I couldn't decide if I liked this one. I sprayed it on a card in the store and thought, "hmmmm," but nothing really struck me as fantastic. However, as one often does, I inadvertently sprayed my hand and wrist along with the card, and for the rest of the day, I kept catching whiffs of this amazing scent. Not only was it lovely, but it had lasting power. I finally picked it up (along with the shower gel and body cream) during the SAS sale. When I heard it would not be returning after the sale (at least for a while) I picked up a whole other set, and I RARELY purchase backups. It's not complex except in the way tea is complex, but it doesn't have to be. Its simplicity and freshness is its strength. It can easily be layered with a floral, citrus, or milk scent if you want to juj it up a bit. It's also a great nighttime fragrance. A little on your skin or pillow and you will be looking at a relaxing night of sweet dreams!

Wowwwwwww this was such an unexpected discovery for me. I had always been skeptical of BBW aromatherapy collection, but this one was launched while i was working there and it completely changed my mind. Even though it’s essentially a single black tea accord, it has the spirit of Thé Noir by Le Labo (unfortunately, out of my budget lol). A minimalistic scent yet incredibly comforting, with a soft warmth that lingers surprisingly well. It also layers beautifully with milky or creamy fragrances, making it far more versatile than I initially expected. I’ll definitely be picking up a bottle during the next sas if it’s still around.

Sometimes less is more, and that's the case with this fragrance. It's so straightforward but so complex in the sense that it captures the exact note it's named after, simply "black tea." I find it interesting how they managed to recreate that scent into something wearable. I find myself spraying this on along with the body cream before I leave the house, and I give myself an extra couple of sprays before bed. It's definitely one of those scents where you don't feel like you're wearing perfume, rather the fragrance announces itself once you lean in a bit closer.

The only note listed is black tea but I'm sure that there are other notes in this. I get a bit of a citrus smell, like lemon or bergamot. To me it's more of an earl grey than a straight black tea. But that's not a bad thing, I really like it. It's very fresh and light, perfect for the hot weather. It doesn't really last but I guess that's to be expected. One of my favorite scents from B&BW. I hope they keep it around.

it smells much more clean and floral at the opening, as it dries down it smells more like a bag of black tea. It's inoffensive and quiet, suprisingly didn't cause migrainnes for me as I can get triggered by floral scents very easily. I really enjoy this scent and like layering this with a cinnamon-y milk perfume for the chai latte effect!

Yummy and nice layered with milk vanilla scents to give it a black tea latte effect. You can't go wrong with this and the price was a steal.

Best scent of all time! I’m obsessed with this! Makes me feel calm instantly.

I’m going to preface this by saying that it gives me a headache immediately as most black tea scents do. I wish it didn’t because this is much better than most B&BW scents. It’s definitely synthetic but it’s so pretty. Strong cup of black tea with a small wedge of lemon. This would layer so well with most perfumes. Completely inoffensive & clean while still having depth. Also a great relaxing bed time scent. 100% unisex but easily made feminine layered.

Synthetic but unobjectionable. This layers well with Milk, another fragrance from B&BW. Update: 08/09/2026. I used it as a room sprayer. Smelling it from a distance instead on me is rather nice. Lovely perfumy tea with citrus undertone. Upgrading to like.

I loved the smell at first. Very very black tea accurate scent, but there is this background that is almost pickley or like sulfur.

Loved this, until the dry down. Got a touch mildew?

I feel like this also has sandalwood in the formula. I get that green, verging on pickley muskiness from it the same way I do in all Santal 33 adjacent fragrances. This was not what I got first sniff, and it tends to come and go. I feel like it fits the scent profile and does come across very tea-like but not what I would associate with black tea necessarily. Was expecting more of a leathery or aged vanilla finish...but I like it nonetheless and feel it kinda brings me back to the 90's somehow.

Fresh, green, serene tea with a hint of Labdanum, great for summer. The oil spray formula is light and has more longevity than normal B&B sprays I layer it with B&B Rose for fresh, romantic spring vibes.

its like smelling a dry tea bag what i get most is tannins (bitter dry), + sweet floral soapyness the soapyness is similar to heirloom rose from the same line and i love both

Photorealistic over-steeped black tea. Quite nice but undeniably a bit stewed and overly tannic. Extremely straightforward. I think I was hoping for a more earl grey vibe.

This smells very floral on me, like roses in the opening. I like it a lot, it’s a comforting, inoffensive scent.
