Cactus Blossom

Any of you ever smell the Victoria Secret Very Sexy perfume from 2014? The 2014 edition is the one in the white bottle and lid...very warm, milky-coconut type of fragrance. This one smells IDENTICAL to that. I wouldn't be able to pass a blind fold test of the two. There is no green here. I think that a lot of how we perceive fragrance is psychological and simply because "cactus" is in the title...I thought I smelled a slight green accord here... There is not. That is not a complaint though! This is beautiful! But...it is not green. It is white, warm, sunny, and bright. It is coconut. A warm, milky coconut. Quick funny story...the local dollar store right next to the restaurant I work at has VERY decent candles for...one dollar. They're just very small. But quality scents! They are CONSTANTLY being mixed up...I'm talking like...weekly. I went in there yesterday to grab some simple household things and low & behold...I visit the aisle where the candles are and I see a few small, two inch tall candles titled "Cactus Blossom." I curiously and excitedly took a sniff and guess what?? It smells like a big fat sun-warmed coconut. Lol. So...what I first thought was an oddly executed and ironically named perfume...I realize...that cactus blossom MUST smell LIKE COCONUT!! Projection - 2 feet. Longevity - 4-5 hours but will last 24 hours on clothes. (And mind you...I only have the body mist. If they make this a perfume too the strength will be insane!) Overall Score - 9/10 Final Note : If you adored the obviously discontinued 2014 Very Sexy f/ Victoria Secret in the white bottle...You've found your replacement!! This is the EXACT smell. No difference whatsoever. I highly recommend it. Also to note...this is a compliment magnet and can be worn year round. The coconut makes it ideal for summer and the warmth thrown in would make it a cozy one for winter. The sweetness is just right also to note. Not cloying at all. The body mist of this I got for like $6 on Ebay and its stronger than PLENTY of eau de toilettes in my collection! Highly recommend! One of the better released Bath & Body Works has ever released...right up there with Twilight Woods in my opinion! Big thumbs up B&BW!!

This is my #1 favorite BBW scent EVER! I no longer purchase the mist, only the body creams/lotions, well I only purchase 6 mist & NO others, b/c most don't last at all, but the 6 i do purchase are, this cactus blossom, in the air, into the night, fairytale, fall in bloom, & you're the one, if it's not one of them, i'm not getting it lol. I fell in love with this one the 1st year it was released, I blind bought it just to get my buy 3 get 3 free. & it was the best blind buy I've ever done lol. This fragrence is so soft & beautiful, & a sweet & sexy thing going for it, with the vanilla, just BEAUTIFUL in everyway....well needless to say it disappeared fairly quick from the shelves, never to be seen again(at least i didn't see it), until this year, 2023, so OF COURSE, i rush to the store, find it....no vanilla...well...its still amazing & i still LOVE it...but it lost a little of that emph that just made it special & the soft sexy feel in once had, so i just bought the body cream, which smells more like the OG mist imo, i guess b/c of the shea/coco in the lotion.

I actually blind bought this after deciding to branch out and use one of Bath & Body's many sales to get scents that weren't peach, raspberry, and/or peppermint. (All good smells, I just got burnt out on them...) And I'm happy I did. To start with, I really love this scent. It's very strongly coconut to start off, but the vanilla and cactus is still noticeable. After about a half hour, it's more an alcoholic flowers on top of a coconut marshmallow. That description may sound odd, but this body spray is oddly worthwhile and, as someone who works with the public, it's also easy-going enough to wear to work in my opinion. This is light enough to wear all the time and I really liked that the scent actually lingers without having to be "hosed" like some other body sprays. Though I need to say if you do get a bit heavy handed, I've found this to be oddly forgiving on the sinuses compared to something like Twisted Peppermint or Dark Amethyst.

Fresh, abstract shampoo-like scent. I don't detect any specific florals, fruits or other elements, just a fresh, clean slightly floral fruity blend. It's very welcoming and feminine. For those who want to smell like they have girly, freshly washed hair, this one's worth checking out. There's a hint of green bitterness to counterbalance the sweet-freshness. I slept on this one for months but slowly came around to it, since I'm a sucker for a competent shampoo scent. Now I'm loving it. The only downside to this one is that the opening accord which is sparkly and very enticing, comes apart fairly quickly, revealing a somewhat lackluster musky base. However, the scent's best features seem to somehow be miraculously revived some hours after, instead of disappearing completely. That magic trick makes this one worth it.

The 2019 version with vanilla is the best. That's the one with the succulents on the label. I am totally in love with that version and it ranks right up there with my other all-time faves from Bath & Body Works. The two re-releases saw the vanilla removed and replaced with lemon. This version isn't nearly as good or addictive. The vanilla really warmed-up this fragrance and made it cozy. The newer versions seem much colder in contrast and resemble a much fresher take on the scent. I personally have no interest in the lemon version and have hoarded as many as I could find of the original which is unique and special.

First, I have to vehemently disagree with any less than positive reviews here. Cactus Blossom is one of my hands down favorite BBW scents. The perfect coconut scent for coconut lovers like myself who are tired of the same old coconut frags that BBW keeps releasing. I honestly didn't realize that this had coconut or vanilla at first sniff until I read the description. It is so refined and refreshing. Very fresh with a little warm sweetness. A coconut vanilla floral in the absolute best way possible.

I honestly didn't expect that I would love this scent as I'm not much of floral girl. But somehow the combination of coconut, cactus & vanila do did wonders. On me, its fresh sweet scent. It's not too sickeningly sweet, which makes me grateful as it's not too cloying & mild scent. I'm looking forward to buy the full size & not to forget its suitable for the humid weather in my country.

This is another great one cactus flower, coconut and vanilla are a great combination. I also agree with other comment's that this could be unisex as my husband has been using it for 2 years now and has received lot's of compliment's. If you like these fragrance notes then this is a must have you can't go wrong.

This is not extremely floral at all to me. It reads very clean and bright, with a slight aquatic edge. I really love this scent after the gym, and I pair it with my Billie no 2 perfume. I will say, I do not get much of the coconut once the scent dries down but I still really love it.

My favorite scent from bath and body works! Very lactonic, creamy, and powdery. Not getting much of a green or cactus smell. I hope they bring it back. Edit: they brought it back and it’s not the same. It only smells good in this packaging and the dark pink faceted one.

I got this as a Christmas present in 2019. It's been my go-to scent for the past few months. It's a very clean smell that doesn't have an overpowering smell. It's also a very unique smell that doesn't feel like it's been overdone a million times.

gorgeous fresh sweet scent. this is literally the perfect summer fragrance. sweet but not too sweet, green without smelling like cilantro. lasts ages and smells great on everyone (in my experience).

Hmm I definitely agree with the listed notes, although this is also very floral. It’s a creamy sweet floral scent. If you like florals, it’s impossible not to like this.

I smelled this at my friends house, I loved this instantly. It is also extremely similar to Mohave ghost from Byredo which I own. Almost the exact same.

Took a long break from B&BW since it takes me forever to get through the body sprays and I prefer perfume. However, in order to not blow through more expensive frags, I thought I'd give the summer body sprays a go this year for the intense heat of the fast-approaching summer. I picked up sprays of cactus blossom, at the beach, coconut lime and almond blossom. This has the BEST longevity and sillage of all of them (3ish hours; arm's length + trail)! Wow! More on the end of an EDT than body spray--super impressed. The cactus blossom comes off as a fresh floral and the coconut vanilla make it sweet. It's really delicious and a great bang for your buck if picked up during the sale.

I was intrigued by this one. Finally got a chance to sniff it and sample the body spray while walking through a mall. I really liked it. Very soft, somewhat sweet & powdery, but not in that sickly sweet way that makes me want to gag. I'm not a huge fan of Bath & Bodyworks because I find the body sprays do not last at all and a lot of their scents are very artificial or headache inducing. I have never tried the actual perfumes so maybe they would last longer & seem less synthetic. But this body spray actually lasted on for inner arm for quite a while. I liked this one enough that I might buy it.

I'm actually amused by other people not smelling the cactus note, and predominantly getting a creamy vanillic floral experience...because I do too. Coach Dreams has a vegetal cactus note to it, and I expected this to be similar, but it isn't at all. Whatever "cactus" here is comparable to the mellow smell of aloe. None of these notes are distinct, they just blend seamlessly into one another. It's quite sweet. It smells like the texture of a coconut cream drink (the sort in a can). I didn't feel the need to pick this up when I tested it, but I think it would be a nice easy grab.

This was the last body spray I chose for myself from Bath & Body Works (4 years ago). If you are not into smelling like a candle, a cupcake or bouquet then this is not a bad choice. I agree that it doesn't lean either masculine or femme. I am not a huge B and BW fan and I really enjoyed this one. I have half a bottle left and it still smells great even being several years old.

For me it really depends on the day, sometimes it's cloying/headachey and other days it's a perfectly fine vanilla coconut. Definitely very sweet either way though. I prefer it for summer personally.

Pretty clear floral and coconut notes, but with a little hint of green underneath them. A bit on the sweeter side, and pretty bright. Probably wouldn't have picked it up if not for the sale.

This smells like Pantene shampoo. It is very creamy and floral and clean

I blind bought this because the bottle was pretty lol (the body wash bottle is really cute too!) I'm not crazy about florals so this is just okay for me. But it does smell very clean so it's nice to combine with the body wash

oof, this is not what i hoped for. people were talking about this as a creamy, milky coconut scent, but all i get is this powdery, laundry-esque scent from the florals and lemon, with the coconut just barely there in the drydown (and by then, the fragrance is more or less gone anyways). for fresh scent lovers, this is probably great and pretty non-offensive, but i personally don't really want to smell like laundry. i will say that i have the most recently launched version, which replaced the previous vanilla note with a lemon note, and i think that's why i just can't like this one--soft from al rehab has a lemon note that pulls similarly powdery on me, but that fragrance is balanced out with enough gourmand, caramelized sweetness for me to enjoy, while this one is pretty much just powdery lemon on me. it's got decent projection initially, but the longevity on this fragrance is pretty poor even for a mist.

I purchased this after someone mentioned it smells like Electric Youth. It does not! There’s a hint of similarity, but it’s way too sweet and overwhelming. The shower gel is a bit better, but even that may give me a headache. I’ve also smelled real cactus flowers, and it doesn’t smell anything like it. Very manufactured.

So I bought the newer version of this after smelling the candle recently in the bbw store and knew I needed that scent in my life as a perfume. It is so so beautiful and unique to me I love it. It actually reminds me of frenshe citrus amber which I have as well. After I received it I find out that the older version has different scent notes so I was really intrigued and went and bought the older version as well to compare-which has vanilla rather than lemon. I was expecting a completely different perfume but honestly they are quite similar to my nose! The older one is actually prettier though..it seems to have more depth and is warmer, cozier. I would wear that one on a lazy day spent at home relaxing. The new version is brighter and fresher and I would wear it early in the morning or on a crisp/sunny day. I would say both are sisters, very similar but do have some differences. Both are really really beautiful and the most prominent note which makes them almost the same is that cactus flower, it really stands out. I LOVE the packaging on the newest version and the original one equally. I love the pink and purple vibes together. But yes they both will be enjoyed fully!

Apologies to everyone who loves this fragrance, but I have to be honest, I was genuinely excited to try it as well. Unfortunately, after finally receiving it, it ended up being one of the weakest fruity-florals I’ve personally experienced. While it does have a fresh touch, the overall scent feels oddly off-putting. From opening to dry down, all I get is a faint lemony note mixed with metallic nuances, almost like iron or aluminum. The dry down also reminds me strongly of Winterberry Wonder, which is another reason it doesn’t work for me. I’ve heard the brand may have reformulated some of the notes, which could explain the difference. Even so, I still hope fans of the scent will enjoy seeing it return during SAS 2026

I am mystified by the description of cactus notes as green and juicy. I have cactus flowers available in my yard to sniff at certain times of the year, but I would not describe them as green and juicy.This could describe a cucumber... The fragrance is light and pleasant with poor longevity and no sillage to speak of. This is an “now you smell it now you don’t” scent. Unless you reapply multiple times..... Having said that, it could be suitable for using on bed linens, as it will leave a hint of a whisp of “something”.

Very intense for a body mist. The new bottle (fuchsia pink) doesnt match the scent. Leans very masculine on me and slightly aquatic but mostly green. I dont get any cactus blossom vibe, I expected something different. The vanilla is barely there enough to make it slightly sweet. Its a nice scent, can totally be unisex, so my mom will love this so Ill gift it to her. Doesnt smell like Guess Dare or Eau So Sexy (apple&whipped cream), at all - some favorites of mine. It does remind me of some coconut VS scent.

A girl that sat next to me wore this scent and i didn't like it, but i asked anyway what she was wearing, and she pulls out 'cactus blossom' from her bag. here's the thing, i thought she was wearing l'air du temps because she lowkey smelled like an old lady. On her, cactus blossom smelled powdery and a ketchup-like smell, like how LDT smelled to me. honestly i don't know if it was me or her, probably her, but that perfume just didn't sit right with me.

This smells EXACTLY like the Peony & Vanilla Orchid candle from Victoria's Secret (which is an amazing candle that I constantly get compliments on even when it isn't burning) so when I smelled this I immediately had to buy it!!! What a find! The name makes it sound like it would be herbal or green but that isn't how it reads to me at all. If you've tried bombshell intense, it has a similar vibe to that with a bit less musk & more floral notes.

I wasn't impressed with this one at first. Got it for Christmas then didn't use it until summer. Didn't hate it, just didn't enjoy wearing it in the heat. Decided to keep it. When I used it in the winter, it just smelled so much better. Definitely a creamy floral scent. Not overpowering. Just a beautiful, delicate scent that is there but doesn't slap you in the face. One of my go to winter fragrances.

Agree with erbium that it smells exactly like VS peony & vanilla orchid candle I just purchased. As soon as I bought the candle I realized it smells exactly like VS Very Sexy Now in the white bottle with the neon pink ribbon (2014 edition I think?). I should've saved some coins and purchased the BBW candle in cactus blossom scent as they are all one and the same!!

Really pretty soapy clean floral with a nice warmth from the vanilla. I still have a full bottle and don’t reach for it often, but I’m still sad about the mist being discontinued. It’s always nice to find a cheap perfume you think is worth it.

Bath and Body works came out with Cactus Blossom in 2019 and it smells very similar to Velvet Tuberose. Cactus blossom is a little sweeter than Velvet Tuberose but if you are really missing Velvet Tuberose, this is a good option for you.

This one is a green coconut vibe scent...add vanilla..and a herb-ish floral...???...wildflower-ish. Something about this one...pulls you in. IMO...different. I am liking this one for what it is. I got the shower gel as well.

I bought this because I love the candle and this just didn’t really compare to it much. I can tell it’s the same smell but the candle has so much more depth unfortunately.

All I get from this is 90s Gap Dream despite the notes being nothing alike. A pleasant surprise when I was buying a few body washes during the sale.

-Opens with faint coconut notes, that remain too far in the background for my liking. -Threatens to rake the nose. (-)
