Chasing Fireflies

I don't get Libre from this at all, thankfully, as I am not a fan. I do get Libre from Fairytale, albeit a much more approachable take on that dna for me. This fragrance, however, is a stronger, more vanillic take on Coach Dreams Sunset and Givenchy Dahlia Divin. It is like the intense or extrait version of those fragrances. Heavier and more robust with a healthy dose of rich vanilla. It's very much present in the juice, though not listed in the notes. Chasing Fireflies is one of few BBW scents that stands firmly on it's own. I could go all day in the lotion and still be scented at 5pm. It's strong. And it is a scent profile that really projects. I am not one to often wear my bbw scents by themselves, using them usually to enhance or layer with my edps and parfums due to strength and longevity being understandably low. However, this scent does not have that problem AT ALL. The ffm lasts all day. Even the hand cream lasts for hours. i own the entire body care line of this fragrance because I truly love this scent, and will be buying backups on the next body care day...

I'm personally big on white florals, especially jasmine. Chasing Fireflies balances this well with woody notes, so that you aren't getting too much of an airy, floral springy scent; much more of a fresher, complex spring. I'm surprised there isn't a powder, as I'm picking up on one. The initial spray is woodsy on me and dries down to a nice white, clean flower; untraditionally complicated for a BBW scent. I envision running through a grassy meadow in the summertime, chasing fireflies is a perfect name for this. Its like the smell of clean sheets, or a nice deodorant. It's what I would consider a great seasonal transition scent, summer to fall, or winter to spring-- I wear it every season but summertime; its just too woodsy for the summer IMO. My male partner even wore this with me at the time, so it can be gender neutral, though definitely more feminine. If you like florals and want something fresh and clean without some sweetness or fruit, this is the scent for you.

Such a glowing gem in the B&BW line up! Wears more like an EDT or EDP than a FFM. Such a well blended lil masterpiece. I love it when a fragrance is harder to pick the individual scents notes out and yet still evolves as you're wearing it! Layered with rounded edges not sharp and yet has that lingering glowing sensation which makes it's naming so spot on. Late summer's cooler nights and fall's cooler days is when I really love this one the most. But it can easily be worn far more often than that. It really does have a vintage & nostalgic expression in it's DNA. But without knocking us out as some scents from back in the day might. My teen DD has fallen hard for it, too. She loves the very natural/ mother earth vibe as she calls it.

This is my Holy Grail. Despite being a B&BW fragrance, it smells expensive, comparable to Paco Rabanne Fame in my opinion (I'll later the two but I'd argue Chasing Fireflies brings more to the table). It has woody, citrus, gourmand, fruity, and floral notes. Fresh but not in a clean way but in a crisp bite of a fresh pear or a breath of air in the woods type of way. It's also incredibly versatile. I'd wear it any season but winter and in both night and day. Both the longevity and silliage are amazing. Ill find myself catching a whiff of something pretty and then realizing it's literally just me. It's a tragedy that it only ran for one season before being discontinued :(

Idk what is in this formula that gives me such a massive headache, but I am obsessed with Chasing Fireflies and devastated that I didn't realize it was being discontinued before I could get more of it. I love it so much I endure headaches for it. I don't think I have ever said that about any fragrance in my life. Smells like vanilla-pear magic. It's very musky and sweet, maybe a bit ambery. It reminds me of Coach Sunset Dreams, but a more creamy and intense version. I just have a bottle of lotion, which is so potent that I mix just a couple drops with unscented lotion and it leaves a very noticeable trail. Wish I could get it in EDP! :*(

I’m not the type to rely on body sprays as actual perfume . never have been 😂 To me, body sprays are for chilling at home, lounging on the couch or spritzing my PJs. Just home vibes, nothing more. But this spray? Totally shocked me. It smells like a legit perfume! A classy jasmine-woody kind of scent that feels super elegant. I can totally see myself wearing it out. I sprayed it on my clothes yesterday before going out for coffee with my sister, and she kept complimenting me the whole time She said i smelled like a brand-new bride, lol. It’s fresh, fancy, and honestly? a steal for the price If you see it, grab it. No thinking twice!

so i tried this on in the store and my silicon phone case soaked in the scent from the lotion on my hand.. i had to go back and buy it. i have never in life received so many compliments on a fragrance. strangers asking me what is that.. maybe it’s an individual thing, but it was on semi annual sale at bbw and i went crazy. it’s a perfect blend of sweet woody fresh.. i cannot say enough good things about this fragrance. it’s my forever fave. i did try the i want choo and libre to see the comparison and i do think i want choo has similarities but chasing fireflies is better to me.

This smells like my daddy like some one else said, and the past, the 80’s to be specific. Must be a cologne or soap from the past but jasmine is my love so of course I bought this in perfume form. This is so nostalgic I'm afraid to ever loose it! This won’t make sense to anyone but there’s this old movie “flight of the navigator” old 80’s movie, the smell of this takes me back to being that tiny and feeling so bewildered for this character, 1986 so I was like 3 maybe 6 at most crazy what scent memories do and how I’ll have an undying love for jasmine for my forever!

I just grabbed a bottle of this the other day, and colour me impressed. It smells so expensive from the first spray. Quite fruity, with some amber ; a bit unisex in the first few minutes. It has strong projection, and really good lasting power, especially on clothing. Towards the end, idk but I am picking up something similar to vanilla or marshmallows with the woody notes. It turns into a sweet and soft scent. It's creamy and fluffy. Each note is blended so perfectly. Effortlessly timeless. This is a fragrance that can be worn any day, anytime. Another new love.

This is amazing. I randomly sniffed it while exchanging a candle expecting not to like it and i LOVED it. It smells like libre and paradoxe had a baby, with the addition of a crisp green note in the opening. It becomes slightly fluffy and fruity after the green opening, drying down more woodsy. If you layer the body wash, lotion, and spray, performance is a beast for a bath and body scent. Ive already gotten loads of compliments and I’ve only had it for two days now. SMELL IT! I was pleasantly surprised by this.

I absolutely LOVE the fragrance. It's so comforting. Though, if you expect one specific note to stand out, none of the notes mentioned actually do, even if I love these notes. It's a very calming sweetness and I could slightly smell the body mist on my clothes even the day after! Also, in my opinion the scent does match a lot the name! You can imagine yourself on an evening early summer field near your cottage, looking around for fireflies! I would love to get myself the edp tho.^^

Obsessed. Yes, it's related to Libre EDT, but it's creamier without being cloying, and without that hit of perfumer's alcohol at the top. The lotion is especially beautiful. Absolutely perfect on dying summer days when you can feel that edge of autumn air starting to creep in. This is what you're looking for when you want an undone Libre, carefree and relaxed, not dialed in and concise. A lived in, cozy Libre.

my grandma has this in soap form because the bottle matches with her taste of colour, and I really love the scent and was like, "omg ok I want to get somethign that smells like this but maybe more luxurious" and then I went into sephora and tried Good Girl Blush. I nearly fainted in the store, it's like an exact match top notes, but this is a little less exciting after the first thirty minutes.

No joke, one of my fav fragrances in my collection. It's surprisingly nuanced for a body spray, very fresh, light, and clean. I carry this with me on long uni days so I can freshen up, and it works surprisingly well with many of my perfumes. Not the longest lasting but you can't expect much from a body mist. I only hope they bring this back cause I don't know if I can live without it.

I grew up in an area that had fireflies and this fragrance is very evocative for me. To me it actually smalls like fireflies on an early summer evening, which I suppose makes sense because I guess fireflies live on flowers and wood so they probably smell something similar to this. I really like this fragrance for being slightly unusual, distinctive and evocative of magical times

I can't believe no one has compared this to I Want Choo by Jimmy Choo yet. It quite literally smells like an exact clone, maybe a touch spicier. I have I Want Choo and have done a spray comparison and (to my nose) there's no difference! Naturally, I bought the Chasing Fireflies body spray and lotion to help extend the sillage & longevity of I Want Choo.

This is not Libre or Fairytale. This reminds me of Jimmy Choo I Want Choo. This is beautiful and definitely at least edt performance. Turns warm and creamy with and addictive vanilla pulling through in the dry down. If you got this in the sale, we got a really good value! Edit: This is also close to Coach Dreams Sunset. Put them together and enjoy!

jasmine pear and woody notes what more can you say... literally my dream fragrance though to be honest none of the notes are especially distinctive like the overall smell is kind of ambiguously sweet but in the best way possible. very pretty, calming, and versatile + impressive longevity (edp). every day i pray for b&bw to bring this diva back

name gives it justice, honestly. when I think of this fragrance, I imagine walking in the woods at night surrounded by fireflies, and hearing the stream in the distance. that's the vibe it gives, I love it. overall great scent, smells exactly like Jimmy Choo I want Choo forever. I can't tell the difference.

This does not smell like Libre, which I own. To my nose, it is a slightly less bubblegummy Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine which I absolutely love. I layer the Chasing Fireflies body lotion with my Gorgeous Jasmine fragrance.... absolutely sublime!

I have both the body spray and the eau de parfum EDP lasts abt 5 hours on my skin and the body spray lasts around 2 hours i really like this scent but im a sucker for woody white florals. wish bbw would keep it around longer but alas.

Instantly reminded me of YSL libre, hand down without a doubt. I'm tempted to get the perfume if they make the Chasing Fireflies perfume version. LIBRE is my favorite and have two bottles of it plus dupes of it made by Zara.

It smells a lot like Libre by YSL but it does not have that fresh hospital note. It is a bit herbal in the opening but then it settles into a beautiful sweet and fresh scent. One of the best scents from BBW.

I wasn't a fan of florals, until this. This smells like childhood memories and I didn’t even had any similar scent back then. Is fresh and captivating.

Fresh (but not too ‚clean’ smelling), white floral and woody scent. I like that the pear is just barely there and not to sweet.

Layer this with the Hyaluronic Acid body cream from B&BW and it REALLY a brings out the woody pear! It’s delightful

I have YSL Libre edp and also Libre Le Parfum. I think Chasing Fireflies smells a lot like Le Parfum. I don't think it's a lot like Fairytale, which I have trouble wearing. I'd like to get the perfume version of Chasing Fireflies. It's strong, as is the body mist that I currently own. I was super off-put by this at first spray in store, then they had a six dollar mist sale and I bought a bunch of mists and took a chance on this, even though I thought I disliked it. It's grown on me, especially after I realized how close it is to the Libre line. Update: I just got the edp, so now I have the body mist and the edp. This morning I wore Libre Le Parfum, then my edp Chasing Fireflies came in the mail and I wore that midday on. They aren't exact dupes, but definitely sisters or first cousins, and of course it depends which edition of Libre you are comparing to: edt, edp, original, le parfum or intense. I think Libre just released a new flanker too. Chasing Fireflies is like LIbre, with the lavender scaled back some (which is fine by me).

Well, for a modern Bath & Body Works, Chasing Fireflies is decent. Immediately upon spraying, I thought there's that B&BW DNA we can't escape. It does smell cheap and synthetic as they do these days. (Before anyone comes for me and says THESE DAYS??, I do think they made some higher quality fragrances for the money 10 to 15 years ago.) Anyway, I will say that after warming on my wrist for a couple minutes, I want to call it B&BW's rendition of Cacharel Eden. Does it smell like Eden? No. But the floral note is a bit swampy and a tad "off" to my nose, not fully rotting, but not freshly blooming. That makes it a bit interesting for a B&BW, but I still wouldn't pay full price for a full-sized bottle. Edit: After wearing it for a few hours, the interesting floral aspect has faded away, and all I smell is a typical sugary B&BW fragrance.

Initially spraying this I absolutely loved it, I even still will compare this to Rebecca Minkoff Blush EDP. However, now that I am wearing this today, its very nice, but it does smell masculine. In my opinion, if you are a confident woman and super feminine off the jump without help, maybe this is for you, but for me who is introverted and slightly "tomboyish" this just makes me feel like I may come off as too masculine. Like I said, its really nice, its a sweet powdery/creamy smell and does smell like a wilderness scenery. Its the masculine twinge to it i just cant get behind. I was juggling whether to buy the perfume of this or just buy another Blush EDP and I wanted this, but now, I'm going to go for Blush since she is way more feminine in smell.

Chasing Fireflies is a bright, happy, and magical fragrance! Beautifully sweet, a little tart, juicy, fresh, softly floral, a little woodsy, and with a bit of warmth too! It’s so good! It makes me feel nostalgic and cozy in the best possible ways! I can’t help but smile whenever I first smell it! I typically get great longevity with fragrances (even body mists!) and Chasing Fireflies is no exception! The scent lasts the entire day on me! The silage is good too, it radiates out about an arm’s length! I also own the body wash and body lotion as well as the body mist, and whenever I use them all together I feel like it just increases the performance!

I purchased the Chasing Fireflies body lotion and love the scent. However, it is important to know how it smells when you first put it on is completely different from how it dries down. In the bottle and when it is freshly applied, it smells floral and green. The jasmine is strong. Then as it dries down, the pear note shines. It ends up becoming very sweet. I don't get YSL Libre at all so I am surprised by all the comparisons on here. For me, because of the floral and pear notes, it reminds me of Irresistible by Givenchy. I think they smell very similar and I am excited to layer the Chasing Fireflies lotion with the Irresistible perfume!

I agree with Heathermarie, except I've been saying Pure Wonder instead of Alien (which to me those are similar; I consider PW like a baby Alien) mixed with White T-Shirt. Which make sense w/the notes in PW being Jasmine, Amber etc. And WTS is Pear, Lavender, Sandalwood. I do see the similarities with Fairytale, but it's not as punchy or deep as FT. I don't own Libre to speak on that one, but it's definitely in the same family with the body sprays that I mentioned. Soft, ambery, powdery, woody. So pretty. Initially I thought it reminded me of something from the 90's....still can't put my finger (or nose) on it.

I have just got it from an annual sale and this is amazing! Love at first sniff. It opens with a breath of green air, like dusk settling over a meadow, hinting at something fresh and quietly alive. Though it echoes the DNA of Libre, Chasing Fireflies trades sharp edges for soft curves. It’s smoother, gentler, and far more wearable. What sets it apart is the sweet, woody drydown — cozy yet luminous, like fireflies glowing against warm skin. It doesn’t shout, but it lingers — and stays with you in the most beautiful way. A hidden gem in the BBW lineup.

What can I say I'm a sucker for jasmine. It's the second spring without this, and many BBW employees said it wasn't a popular fragrance, so it's not coming back. It's too bad because it's a nice Jasmine and wood fragrance. Many jasmine perfumes are just pure floral, which is fine, but I think the wood scent helps support it. I'm at the end of my lotion bottle and I'll finish it by the end of May. I will definitely be trying I want Choo next spring.

Chasing Fireflies is almost identical to Jimmy Choo I Want Choo, and very very close to the new Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush. I have both the travel size perfume and the FFM of Chasing Fireflies. I like the FFM better - it's less heady and more sweet than the perfume version. Both are sparkling/bubbly fruit/pear and florals. It's very nice. Not to be worn on days when I want something light though because it is very strong.

Got this during a BBW sale where it went half price! Personally, I enjoyed this scent during calm days and weather, it mimics or portrays feelings of walking into fresh bushes during mid-spring, surrounded by damselflies and jasmine. I love this one in the morning. I would say it is really unisex and not too masculine(?) It definitely wears down to the woody and musky base notes after a few hours. Worth every penny.

It smells similar to Libre and Libre Intense. Less lavender and less sharp than Libre. But also less ambery than Libre Intense. It's like bbw found the perfect balance between the two. I have Libre Intense as well as it's Zara Golden Decade dupe, both of which are pretty strong since they're edps. This one is for the days where you want that DNA, but don't feel like smelling too strongly of it.

So, I don't understand the Libre comparisons. To me this is a lot like I Want Choo by Jimmy Choo or Zara Deep Garden. It's got a fresher take than Good Girl Legiere. Does it smell like BBW Fairytale? Not exactly....but I would call it an equal mix of Fairytale & Dahlia. Is that why BBW brought both of them back just recently?

To me this is a green floral, maybe a tiny hint of pear. But it smells green and crisp to me. It smells nothing like I Want Choo which smells like a warm vanilla and peach. It smells nothing like Libre. It really does have a unique scent. I have tried a lot of perfumes and never smelled anything quite like it.

ok so i shoplifted mine (dont judge) and everytime i go i found myself spraying this so i knew i needed it and i have the EDP version wnd to me it smells like your sitting on your wooden ladder with a basket eating pears and your in a jasmine garden and its cold outside

Es un floral blanco fresco, es rico en verano y primavera y lo usaria mas que todo de dia. Su proyeccion es bastante buena pero su longevidad no tanto.No me recuerda ni a Libre y a ningun otro. Para mi es un 6/10..me gusta pero no esta en mis favoritos

i miss this one every single day, my big bottle of it is like a holy object that i rarely touch because of how much i prize it. it gives off a sort of liminal vibe, it really does make me imagine that i am chasing fireflies in the fog

Happy yet relaxing scent that does kind of remind me of a summer evening outside. Nice!

Smells like jadore to me! Such a pretty jasmine bomb

'Chaising Fireflies' does not seem like a fit for a name for this fragrance. With high humidity this fragrance is a bit too strong, but does pair well with a cool damp day. It blends beautiful with a white floral opening but isn't to heavy with the pear projecting through toning down what would be a heavy floral. The wood note is very soft. It is a nice shower clean smell if you don't mind a prominent white floral opening. Not something I reach for often but do like to wear for spring.

I really enjoyed the initial smell and was excited by its longevity. It smells like the end of summer where the nights finally cool down and I can see it working for springtime too. However...days later now I can’t get away from picking up shaving cream in the dry down :( my coworkers agreed with me, too, unfortunately...maybe it needs more vanilla. Fairytale does somewhat resemble this fragrance but more as a distant relative.

It's a very fresh, clean, tad of sweetness. Not citrus fresh but more like dryer sheet fresh. It is absolutely beautiful for a home spray. I just don't want to smell like freshly steamed cleaned carpet. I don't hate it in any way. It's mehh as a fragrance to wear but a love for a home smell. I will use it up as a room spray, even spray my sheets. I wish they would make wax melts in this scent..

It has a nice, pleasant smell, not completely mind blowing, but it's decent. It's good to wear when running errands or you want something more simple, less fussy. Scent doesn't last you throughout the day, so I would rate the sillage as intimate and longevity very weak. After 1 hr, I can barely smell the scent on myself.
