Chocolate Covered Cherry

I don't like cherry candy, cherry pie, cherry cough drops (ugh), cherry cough syrup (ugh) cherry lip balm or Christmas cherries with chocolate ( my funny great aunt that would have been 110 now, used to give us these all the time). But cherryhoo, this is great. I cannot get enough of this. Cherry on top and chocolate dry down on skin. It smells like good black forest cake. I am using now, will use in the Summer. I wear all the time at home, at bed time, out. IMO, this was the best of their bakery collection that BBW brought this year. This is a liqueur cherry. It's not cherry blossom and it's not softened by any powdery, flower notes. No vanilla in dry down. Simple but great. Use the lotion first, then this on top. The gel is fantastic in the shower :D But just like a lot of things I like, they could be discontinued, it's only at stores as I am writing this, so I bought extras. PS I own original Sweet by Lolita Lempicka, La Petite Robe Noire plus its flankers Perfecto, Black Royale Perfecto, Petales. Red by Giorgio. I have cherry brandy and cherry liqueur (I'm an adult!).

You get what you expect. The moment I sprayed this on my skin, the cherry and liquor greeted me. Wait a few seconds and you get the chocolate note. NO, it isn't chocolate made from roasted cocoa beans with 100% cocoa butter that's made in Belgium or Switzerland. It's the cheap kind of chocolate you get from the dollar store (think carnauba wax chocolate with cocoa powder) and I love it. The cherry isn't what I expected though. We're all thinking that it might smell like maraschino cherries but it's more like a sour cherry. That's why it may register as ''strawberry'' for other noses. Overall, it really is an equal mix of cherries, chocolate, and liquor.

Just got mine from a reseller. This body mist smells delicious and yummy. At the very first spray on my skin I directly noted the smell of Milk chocolate and cherries. It's as if I am taking a sip of Blackforest Vanilla Frappe from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaves. I however not sure if I can smell any boozy scent on this. Staying power is weaker than Sunset Glow and doesn't last long. Wish they can formulate it so the mist stays longer or upgade this to Edt or Edp with some twist added to it. It's really hard to find any true to chocolate high end perfumes. Much of them blended too much of other notes that the chocolate is only a faint hint at the back.

I absolutely love the chocolate in this. It is a rich dusty cocoa/milk chocolate with undertone of cherry liqueur, but not syrupy nauseatingly sweet, because the cocoa balances it out. It’s dusty cocoa but also creamy/milky. Cherry is richly blended in somehow.. not sure how else to describe it. Reminds me of roman nougat! I haven’t tried many chocolate fragrances but have been craving them, and this one satisfies it!

I LOVEEE how chocolatey it is. The first note after spraying you get attacked with the dark chocolate notes. Perfect. Then it starts getting sweeter and more cherry. I think the blend is amazing but it doesn’t last that long on my skin or clothes.

I wouldn't call this sophisticated or complex but I had a lot of fun with it personally! It smelled very yummy, boozy, chocolatey, cherry. I mostly wore it around the house lol

Got this 75% off. Smells like a chocolate covered strawberry! Wow delicious & scrumptious. Use the full set & you'll smell good enough to eat. 10/10

This fragrance is so pretty! It reminds me of a doll head scent. I will be getting a backup.

I finally got this today. I was searching for it for such a long time and this is such a good scent. 🥰 It is nothing sexy, mature, fancy as it has no depth or complexity. It's very true it's notes and that's what it makes unique. I know it's being referenced to some chocolate covered cherries filled with liquor and the Europen equivalent would be Mon Cheri, but to me it doesn't smell like it. The chocolate is quite dark, but still has a milky note to it, the cherry is less prominent than the chocolate but she's definitely there. It's a slightly boozy cherry, but neither the sweetness nor the alcohol is too overpowering, for me a perfect combination. Someone described this scent as chocolate covered strawberries and I agree with that. It's closer than the Mon Cheri comparison to me. It's when you have a ripe strawberry that's on the edge of getting that little boozy note from when it's about to turn bad, but it's that kind of strawberry taste that does go surprisingly well with the chocolate it's covered in. This scent works well a alone for going out, when you want to smell totally different than anybody else, but it's also a perfect stay at home scent and I think this has a lot of potential to combine this scent with a sexy, mature perfume. I'm sooo happy that I finally got this. 🥰 Also I want to add, pairing this with Sugared Cherry Crisp from B&BW enhances the Cherry Note a lot. Smells perfect together.

Don't listen to the naysayers - if you love Queen Anne's Chocolate Covered Cordial Cherries (the cheap kind in small boxes from Dollar General that we all know and love), then you'll love this because it's just like biting into one! Opening: waxy chocolate. It's not a deep or fudge-y chocolate, just like the Queen Anne's Cordial Cherries aren't either (re: earlier reviews wishing it was different, which wouldn't be realistic). It's the waxy candy-making chocolate discs you can buy at a craft store for melting your own candies, which cool down hard and snap when you bite into them. Then very quickly, you're hit with cherry liqueur syrup, just like the center of the cordial: sweet, thick, bright-red sharp cherry with the almond (Maraschino)-boozy ribbon running through. In dry down, the waxy chocolate + syrupy cherry both fade into a soft, sweet, powdery cloud (almost like a confectioner's sugar mixed with a baby powder) - and you've finished your ride. While I would love for all notes to remain while wearing, it's still fun to see how the fragrance evolves. It's very true to the name, and it's perfect for Valentine's Day. I only wish it lasted longer!

This starts out with a seductive liquor like blast, like a cherry cordial or cherry brandy. Then the dry down you get the chocolate, and the liquor fades but a little bit of not too sweet cherry remains. It becomes light and fluffy smelling, almost like a milk chocolate mousse with some black cherries mixed in. I love it! The body lotion is especially decadent, I think I like it more than the body mist. It layers well with some of my more gourmand scents. ETA A review below mentioned this was like a dolls head scent. In the far dry down you definitely get that here as well. And actually this is the first time I can actually get that note out of a scent. It really is like a dolls head and I enjoy it! I never really got that before from a fragrance even when many others said it had that scent.

This reminds me of chocolates that u buy at those gourmand chocolate places where you can buy chocolate per piece This has notes of Dark chocolate 🍫& Raw cocoa powder🌰 While cherry is one of my least favourite scents ever, it does add a bit of a slight bitterness to the blend (in a nice way)🍒 Want a piece of advice 😉 ? ........, get the lotion or the cream and layer it with any of your fav perfumes that contains chocolate ,cocoa or coffee notes in it

I thought this would smell like Black Forest cake but it’s more like cherry lip balm with just a hint of nutty chocolate. It’s not what I expected but it’s still a good scent. I’m thankful it didn’t turn cherry cough syrup like Black Cherry Merlot did on me. The body cream layer nicely with Guerlain Gourmand Coquin. Edit: I just wanna add that the body cream smells like the lighter version of Marks & Spencer Cherry/Cerise body butter.

Really like this out of their offerings this year. Chocolate and cherry work so well together! I'm addicted to the chocolate blast in the opening - it is super strong and wish it would stick around longer. This mellows out to more of a cherry liqueur on the skin, similar to Black Cherry Merlot.

You get an even mix of each note - chocolate, cherry, and sweet liqueur. If you're worried about this being a boozy scent, maybe steer clear. The chocolate is not strong. It really does smell exactly like a chocolate-covered cherry, and then the sweet liqueur is right there with it.

Just got this today! Now I can smell chocolate covered cherries in the off-season when I'm baking! I am looking forward to this scent in the fall with a hot cup of cocoa by the fireplace.

It gave me a headache and I tried so hard to like this fragrance.

I was so sure I was gonna like this that I got two bottles... but after smelling it... DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS! On the initial spray, you are blown away with a sweet, thick, syrupy, faintly cherry liquor. Maybe not for everyone, but not necessarily bad. I can smell the faintest bit of a chocolate covered cherry, but it is overpowered by the liquor. It's VERY sweet. On the dry down, it smells like maple syrup and cat piss. It literally smells like cat piss. Then it's gone. It is a rollercoaster of a scent for about 5 minutes. Not a safe blind buy at all. Get strawberry pound cake instead.

I smelled this on a woman at work, she was wearing the lotion and it legit lasted 8+hrs. I decided to get the body spray and was beyond disappointed because it doesn't last AT ALL . So sad because it smells so amazing.

Not a fan. Still this was left behind by my daughter and I find it leaves a medicine smell after a bit. Not big on sweet dessert smells myself and wouldn’t have bought it myself.

This has got to be the worst I’ve ever smelled on a body mist. Ever. It smells awful. The liquor and cherry is too much my daughter almost puke when she sniffed it for the first time. And the chocolate didn’t make it any better. It’s like BBW forgot to somehow put a balance in this and just mixed all three notes together not having a care in the world what it would smell like. So gross 🤢 🤮

Absolutely beautiful! A wonderfully realistic cherry cordials chocolate smell. The chocolate in this is wonderful and smooth, like smelling unsweetened baking cocoa powder. The cherry is JUST enough to evoke the feeling without getting too syrupy or synthetic. Perfect for Valentine’s day! This has become my bedtime scent! It’s so warm and soothing to me. Ended up buying 2 backups! Go get your hands on it before it’s gone!

this smells like literal red wine. im not sure how to explain it but i really don't like it personally. it is not a sweet cake chocolate, like a dark, dark chocolate with cherry liquor and it just smells awful but it could just be me.

-Opens with a blast of milk chocolate. -The kind you get at the dollar store, as opposed to a confectioner like Godiva. -Cherry notes are rather unrefined in this. They remind me of cough syrup. (-)

this would've been tolerable if they toned down the cherry because its a super sickly sweet syrupy cherry liquor scent with a chocolate undertone :( will most likely give you a headache

It smells like when you open up a Cadbury box of chocolates. The chocolate and the sweet filling.

Absolutely disgusting! This is one of the worst scents I have ever smelled in my whole life!
