Cucumber Melon

I'm usually not a fan of fruity perfumes but this is frickin delicious! The melon ( I agree with another fellow reviewer that this smells like Honeydew melon) smells really juicy and yummy and not synthetic/chemical. The cucumber adds a nice touch of freshness/green-ess to it. Its perfect for summer. Like all BBW scents, its very light (low staying power and sillage) so I dont think anybody would find this perfume to be offensive. p.s. I ordered this perfume online as they're sold out at my local BBW store and the salesgirl told me that they might be discontinued. I just got it in the mail 3 days ago and already got compliments on it! =D I'm so glad i decided to buy it!

Cucumber Melon has been a part of my life for a long time and when they came back out with the body care this year I was beside myself. This was the scent of my college years (late 90's-early 2000's). I lived in a sorority house in which I and every other resident used the shower gel, slathered on the lotion and spritzed on the mist. It's just a yummy scent of a simpler, much more carefree time. Trying on the body cream/most the other day, it smells the same but dang, I forgot how STRONG it is. Not that I mind at all but other people will smell you coming, and you will smell like the 90's for a looong time, and that's just from the body cream. The original. The best :)

some may say it smells like fabric softener, air freshener, fruity, etc.. but still -- i like it! this fragrance has this formula that simply brings relief, freshness and comfort when I feel stressed or heavy. perfect for tropic countries especially on summer!! i miss the original packaging of the bidy mist though,, since I find its content more concentrated and well blended than the ones in the new packaging. there are many other brands carrying Cucumber Melon scents but the Bath and Body Works version still rules!

I have ignored this fragrance for years until the recent SAS when I snagged the body spray & lotion. Initially it smells really sweet, like watermelon candy (but not offensively so). After a couple of hours, it changes to a clean floral with no hint of melon. The scent stays really close to my skin so although I catch whiffs of it as I move through the office, it doesn't disturb my co-workers' allergies so it's become my favorite during this recent heatwave.

BBW can you PLEASE stop trying to discontinue this and leave it forever?! I use the lotion all the time. Anytime I go to the gym, it’s like I sweat freshness!! I smell soooo good getting off the treadmill! Heat brings this scent alive and is the freshest fragrance I’ve ever smelled. So underrated and written off as a nostalgic frag. The lotion is the best way to wear this, paired with the body wash. The body mist does not bring out the fresh smell as much.

More melon than cucumber. Just wonderful stuff. I have the lotion and it's rich and relatively long lasting. Not at all light. Another love

My favorite OG B&BW scent. Gives a fresh hit of cucumber and soft floral. I spray it all over after a shower and it makes me feel so clean!

Cucumber Melon by Bath & Body Works is a playful fragrance that rouses childhood nostalgia. It’s quite sweet, fruity, and aquatic. In some ways it reminds me of a flavored ice cold vitamin water, or a scented hand sanitizer without all the alcohol. The juicy honeydew note is front and center, while cucumber adds a bit of watery vegetal crispness. In my opinion, the florals are barely detectable, and I’m not getting any musk. It has a very positive, peaceful, and carefree energy to it. I don’t typically enjoy clean scents, but Cucumber Melon does not hurt my head at all and really makes me feel refreshed and renewed. Perfect for something like a DIY spa day at home. Put it on right after a nice long bath to feel fresh for hours afterwards. Solidly a daytime summer fragrance, though it could work for late spring too.

I am wearing the body spray today. It seems to last a few hours on me. The top notes smell like honeydew, but it mainly smells like artificial fruits. It isn't bad, so I put it on my "likes", but it's more of a "just ok" It isn't a dislike. It is really good for a daytime spring summer fragrance, and the body spray lasts about 3 hours. I think I would prefer this smell as a body wash rather then a perfume because it smells very clean. Maybe the perfume would be different. It says for women and men, but I think it is more suited for women

Cucumber Melon from Bath and Body Works is a really nice pick me up fragrance. It's not too crisp and sharp as some "fresh" scents tend to lean towards. I find it to be a bit of a humid, musky, clean smell of melon and light white florals. This is the sort of fragrance that you wear when you want something a little different from the same old scents in your wardrobe rotation. I would highly suggest layering because you don't get a whole lot of longevity with it. All in all I would say that Cucumber Melon is a must have.

This fragrance is part of the childhood chamber of my heart and always will be 💚🥒🍈 It's soothing and crisp at once. The melon is honeydew in my opinion, and and cucumber is beautifully represented. It's very sweet and fruity...but once in a while you need something like that in life. I wear this stuff sometimes when I get depressed, but otherwise it's perfect for hot summer days. It just glows in the sun!

I think BBW changed their formula for this fragrance recently. It used to be one of my favorites there, but now it's just "pretty good". Cucumber melon is one of the best combination of smells to me, but this version is not as good as it could be.

This one is delicious and very very green at the same time! Like a juice made before two minutes and it makes me feel relaxed and refreshed with its dominant melon and slight cucumber notes! Recommended especially for those spring days...

This smells so fresh. The watermelon is definitely the strongest note followed by the cucumber. I have the mist version and I'm going to pair it with my clean rain by clean perfume as they smell quite similar.

I keep a body spray in my car.. I love the body spray but the green scent in the perfume version is too strong for me as I dont like greens at all, but the body spray is just a FRESH melon scent

I really liked this when it first came out,(not as much as warm vanilla sugar) but now I think its more of body wash.However that what got me into Bath and Body works.

This was an old favorite mine back in high school. Most bath scents were just too much -- too sweet, too fruity, etc -- and cucumber melon was a refreshing change.

It smells clean and fresh. I haven't heard of anyone who disliked this. It's yummy, it is an ideal summer scent.

Was looking for a melon frag and a lot of people suggested me this for a cheapie, then the review below who said it smells like a melona ice cream just sold me. I don't know if it's because I got the fragrance mist but it doesn't smell like what I expected (either a sweet melon or a melona ice cream). At first it smelled like cucumber, then dissolved into melon with the green bitterness of cucumber taking over now and then, making it not a pure melon... but a cucumber melon. It truly lives up to the name, just not what I'm looking for. It's a nice, simple, fun fragrance, suitable for spring, summer, and whenever you feel like it. **for fun I asked my family members (we use 1litre of cantaloupe melon bodywash as a family handwash and my dad uses a melon soap for shower lol) what they thought (sprayed on paper) and they said it smelled like a shampoo. I asked if it's vegetal or fruity? "Fruity". Is it cucumber or melon? They either said it's cucumber or melony cucumber :) 4.5/10

Sweet aquatics unfortunately don’t mesh with my chemistry, especially when they’re mixed with green/ herbal notes. CM is no exception, I feel a bit queasy and uneasy whenever I wear it. I can enjoy aquatics in hand soap or sanitizer form and when briefly smelled on others but not for long durations. The fresh, crisp and dewy cucumbers soon give way to very sweet juicy honeydew melons. There is a mild green accord from the LOTV and cucumbers 🥒 . I would have preferred there were citrus notes on top and more florals in the heart with less sweetness overall. However I still enjoy smelling it briefly on my hand and face towels, which is the recent purpose of my mist spray 😜.

This was everyone's favorite fragrance at my high school. It's very sweet and has a watery feel to it. It's cloying and not very fresh. Something in here smells of chalk and there's also an odd metallic tang. It's a distinctive scent, i think, perhaps because it's so commonly used.

its way to sweet. when i think of cucumber melon i think of watery fresh with a faint sweetness too it. this was in your face sweet. freshwater cucumber sounds like more of the fragrance im looking for

This is honestly one of the most overrated fragrances ever...but I think bath and body works became well known because of this scent

Sweet and strong over all not a fan. One of the better scents from this company but still too cloyingly sweet...

This was actually the scent that got me into perfumes. I hadn't been aware of B&BW until that summer after 7th grade when it seems like it exploded... I remember being in summer school in the miserable heat of California in July, and several girls in the hallways and classrooms smelled... mouthwatering. It was fresh and sweet and I didn't even realize it was melon at all (I have always hated melon and most things that are super-sweet). It didn't just make me realize how much I loved scents, but I also realized I "liked girls" that summer. Oh my goodness, the memories. Anyway, I finally broke down and asked one girl what she was wearing. Turns out a couple of them had bottles of the lotion version of Cucumber Melon. Nowadays I'm fairly sure the formula has been made heavier and sweeter, which is unfortunate. It lacks the watery, fresh qualities it once had that made me drool all over my desk. Alas. It still brings back such vivid memories anyway.

I only just recently got this and I love it. Good thing most people have moved on and I can no longer smell it that much. At least now, I can enjoy it. I love the smell of melons and the watery feel of cucumber. I don't really wear this on my skin or clothes. I just like spritzing it around me while I work. I work at home anyway, so no one would be bothered by the smell if I sprayed it too much. It's innocent, refreshing, just cucumbers and melons.

My husband LOVES this stuff. Always his pick when we're in BBW and I ask him what to get. I remember it smelling better back in the old days when it first came out and my "go to" smells were Cucumber Melon, Peach Nectar and Sunsweet Kiwi...it would be fun if they had a "old days" sale and brought some back on a limited edition basis. I bet they'd do well. I also miss when they used to make antiperspirants in the various smells too.

I had this scent combination as a shower gel from them back in the 90's It was nice and fresh and clean, on my skin the melon became stronger with wear but never obnoxious,always subtley understated although I knew it was a smell of melon, the lily added a depth to the scent on my skin.I could always smell a watery cleanness with it : the cucumber.Jasmine never seems to soak into my skin. BBW is great,especially as soaps and gels.

I really wish that I liked this scent. I did at first, I had the PocketBac hand sanitiser and I used it all. But towards the end, all I could smell was unripe banana peel and it made me feel sick. Thinking it might have just been that type of product I went in store to try the FFS and still all I could smell was green bananas and it was nauseating :(

This is a very juvenile fragrance to me...synthetic, over-done, fake. In my mind it isn't even for teenagers...more like 9-12 year old girls who are just discovering fragrance or get the opportunity to go into a Bath and Body and pick something out...this is the scent they would gravitate towards. I would pick it as a hand soap at best, that is it.

When I was a teenager I swam in this stuff. I had the whole collection. I would even spray it on a pillow in my husband's (we were dating then) house. He used to love that. Very fond memories of this youthful and fresh scent. However I feel I've moved on and the scent annoys me a bit now. Its a great scent for teens though. :)

I liked this for the first two months I had it and I seem to have gone off it- it just smells sicky sweet to me now. I wish I still liked it better because I bought two body splashes when it first came out. I seem to have this problem of familiarity breeding contempt with a number of Bath and Body Works scents.

I've been using the bath products for years, but I just tried this recently. To me, it smells just like the other products--fresh and clean. It doesn't last too long, so it is nice when you want something light and unobtrusive. I make soy candles and soap, and this scent has been my #1 seller forever!

This was my aunt's signature scent in highschool and I always adored it on her. It's a very simple fragrance. Juicy melons, lilies and cucumber. It's mouthwateringly sweet, yet light and refreshing. Too juicy for everyday (it gave me a headache), but it's perfect for relaxing on rainy days.

one of the old classics by BBW. it has been a staple for one of my closest friends for a while. Pleasant, fresh, and sweet. But in my opinion, most frags like this by BBW smell flat, one dimensional (watered down) compared to stuff by Moschino. Pleasant but not really unique.

I really like the smell of this as long as it's not on me. I like it as liquid soap and I really like it as a candle and room fragrance. It smells just like a watermelon Airhead (which is my favorite flavor but I don't want to smell like one!)

I don't like this one. Just ordered a bodysplash and it is way to much melon for me. I expected a fresh, clean splash. I smell like I just swimmed in a melonbath. Maybe nice for some others, but not for me.

Love this juice!!! It's quite fragrant in the opening. It lightens up in the 2nd hour and sticks close to the skin from there. This is my fruity go to when I feel like I need to livin up my other frags.

Smells just like their bath Cucumber Melon products, sweet juicy honeydew melon fresh and light....just delightful. Reminds me of the Melona Ice Cream bars. Also Anna Sui Secrets Wish smells similar.

Sweet, dewy, and green. Reminds me of various women from my childhood. However, as an adult, there's something plastic smelling about this. It's a like, but not a love by any means.

Fresh, perky, and sweet! Prepare to be drowned in ultra sweetness. My daughter swore she can almost taste it. Good for a day in the park.

I'm not sure about the toilette but this and marshmallow flurries both make for good scents in their foaming soaps.
