Daydream

As many of the millennials, sometimes I find myself swimming in nostalgic memories surrounding 00s perfumes. It was one of those mornings but as the day progressed, the feeling vanished. But did it? Daydream was a blind buy post bbw candle hunt, they didn’t have the tester or the body care anymore in our store. Safe notes, great price, dreamy packaging - I went for it anyway. And whoa it’s a very close relative to Britneys, Escadas and most importantly, to a JLo Live Luxe. Even the bottle is totally the same vibe as Live Luxe, iridescent fun, only square. The scent is a bit more fresh and crisp than it’s older sisters’ but it’s for the best, 00s are gone, I don’t need a time machine lol, easy breezy y2k~vibe~ is more than enough.

Aside from strawberries and cherry notes I also like raspberry so this is one perfume I am happy to have in my collection. This smells like my confetti daydream too. Also reminds me a bit of Cancan Burlesque which has the same raspberry notes. Only difference is this is sweeter. This lasts quite a decent time and is great for casual wear. It has a zing factor that I like that uplifts my mood. I read that it reminds some of Live Luxe by JLo which I am on the fence if I should by or not. To any live luxe owners, is it worthy to still buy that perfume since I already have this or should I just stick with this? Thanks!

Such a pretty fruity-floral, uplifting scent. There are very few raspberry fragrances that I'm fond of and this is one of them. I think it's because the notes are so well blended together. No note stands out more than the other. I have both, the body mist and the 1.7 oz and the body mist performs very well. The eau de parfum gives me 4-5 hours of longevity on my skin and fills up the room as soon as you walk in. Daydream is one of those scents i can't see myself ever getting tired of. Job well done, Bath and Body Works!👏👏💚💜💙 Scent: 9/10 Packaging: 7/10 Performance: 8/10

Normally I give my personal breakdown of the fragrance, but what you see is what you get here. AND I LOVE IT. It's so juicy, and pretty, I wore this today and received multiple compliments. I prefer the perfume over the bodyspray, it lasts quite a while and the silage is surprisingly pretty big for a BBW fragrance. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Longevity: 5-6 hours Silage: Moderate

Why does this smell like Britney Spears Fantasy? 7/10

Smells identical to Brittany spears fantasy. I sprayed fantasy on 1 wrist & daydream on the other.. daydream lasts longer & is more vibrant. Like live luxe by Jennifer lopez. Which i also have. But that one is more fruit & less raspberry peppery fantasy zing. But I couldn't tell the difference at after about 10min. Im wearing the lotion to bed tonight & man. It smells so fruity! yea I notice the raspberry smell now that I know what notes are in it. But there's that pink pepper smell & a blood orange smell too. perfectly id rather have the brittany spears fantasy, i just love my memories associated to that one.

I finally realized what this reminds me of! Fiesta Carioca by Escada! I kept trying to figure that out since I got it months ago. I had it and sold it cuz it would cause me nausea even though I liked the green sweet smell of it. At times I regret selling it but the nausea I had everytime I wore it was crazy. This by Bath & Body Works is not as sickly sweet, and just green enough to be reminiscent of Escada's creation. Its not my favorite but it's def a happy sweet scent for spring and summer too. Lasts at least 6 full hours on me with excellent sillage.

Okay so my main review is further down but just a heads up, the new body mist called Confetti Daydream is a total dupe for this, maybe abit more intense/deep due to the iris instead of the lily. The notes of Confetti DayDream (not yet in the database on here) are raspberries, sparkling pear and blue iris so very similar to the notes of Day dream, and consequently it is a dupe for Escada's Fiesta Carioca, less heady and nauseating. I really like DayDream and Confetti Daydream too. Identical notes to Fiesta Carioca has the Armaf Parfum Studio Fiesta.

On each arm i sprayed daydream on one & fantasy Britney spears on the other. I like fantasy better cause its spicier. Daydream is stronger & wetter smelling its still really good. But fantasy is associated w a good memory so I have to go w fantasy. I ended up selling the daydream purfume for $65- (score for me)

BBW Daydream is extremely fruity in a very LOUD way (two spritzes made me sneeze), and yet, I still don’t hate it. The description says pear and raspberry, but it could easily pass for a watermelon scent as well. It’s interesting they would choose a pear & raspberry combo considering they already had a much better smelling scent called Pearberry. I’d recommend looking for that on eBay and Mercari over purchasing this new spin on the same combination of notes. I’m not getting much of the lily, specifically, but you can tell it has some type of white flower in it. As the floral base remains overpowered by the fruit notes, the effect is the smell of a fruit candy or bubblegum – sticky, sweet, very youthful. There’s something rather joyous about smelling like giant Jolly Rancher. I predict my students are going to be drenched in this when we return from Summer. Scents like this are usually not my thing, but this one is pretty alright. (I also have the body wash, the cream, and the mist, so I guess I should admit I actually like it.) One thing it’s missing is a base note, something to tone it down and mellow out all the sugary goodness. This might be why it works better in shower gel and lotion form than the perfume. Even Bath & Body Works typically develops more complex fragrances than this. The sillage is insane, so tread lightly. I only pumped this in the air, not on my body, and wound up having to crack a window. I can’t help feeling disappointed BBW discontinued Pearberry to replace it with this, but Daydream still has merits of its own. It’s a great scent for the young AT heart, just not the faint OF heart.

I'm pretty sure it's only peach and berries. I can't find any hints of white flower or anything. Just not for me. Smells like soft al rehab.

i think it smells musky in my opinon. good unisex scent since it smells musky to me I didn't pickup on the pear or berry

I very much dislike it. Obnoxious and stings my nose in an unpleasant way, it makes me think of those sample perfumes you find in magazines only stronger and with more fruity notes. Not so much of a problem when the scent fades, but still would never be a choice fragrance for me. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, who knows.

Jesus people!!! Not every single fragrance smells like ARIANA GRANDES SWEET LIKE CANDY!! Or whatever that perfume is called!! It could be a perfume with leather and clove and I will still see sweet like candy under “this perfume reminds me of” Anyways daydream is 6/10

Evidently, Daydream, which came out in 2020, is ALREADY discontinued. :-(
