Dressed in White

B&BW is on a roll with releasing absolute bangers this year! This fragrance can be described with one word: beautiful. Since that tells you nothing about what it actually smells like, It is a very clean, heavily white floral and slightly sweet scent. There's a base note to it that is quite sneezey on first spray but that goes away once it dries down. It kind of reminds me of a less "dry" smelling, fruitier version of One In A Million. Something about this is so addictive to me and I wish I could bathe in it. If they ever discontinue it you can catch me picketing outside of their offices. @ the person who said it smells like VLJ: I didn't get that at all until I read your comment so thanks for that. I can't describe how it does but it does a little bit, like a way less gourmand and way more white floral version.

I layer this with Yulali perfume oil, and it is honestly such a beautiful fragrance by itself but especially when layered. I can see a bride wearing this... though I reach for it on the days I want to smell feminine and fresh. I always hesitate to say I will repurchase anything bath and body works as I find their price for fragrance mists to be a bit too high unless they are on sale... but believe me as soon as this goes on a sale again, I will be grabbing a second bottle.

This has become one of my favorite B&B scents. The floral is really lovely and easy to breathe in, and the woodiness pairs so well with it, too. I'm usually not a fan of heavy floral fragrances but this feels so soothing and calm, like a stroll through a garden. I like to use this with a more expensive, long lasting perfume often and it creates a wonderful bouquet of fragrance. I definitely want to get the EDP at some point. A simple, alluring, and classic scent.

Wore this when he proposed to me. It was way different than I expected, more mature when I was expecting something softer and girlier. It's definitely heavy. The pear blossom and woodsy notes stand out a lot to me. If I blind sniffed this, I would not expect it to be from B&BW! It smells very fancy and comfortable. Reminds me of a rich older woman dressed in silk, anxious car rides, fresh air.

I don’t know why people don’t like this it smells so good and so floral, which the hate makes sense if you don’t like floral. It smells like florals in the best way possible, like a hug from a bed of flowers. Love it so much so clean and fresh. Like you just took the best shower of your life.

This is literally one of my favourite summer scents. To me it smells like you just put on a freshly laundered and warm cotton sundress and stepped out onto your back step in the morning sun. Beautiful and cozy like that feeling when you know today is going to be a good day.

Absolutely gorgeous scent! It smells a lot like Gucci Flora. It’s very floral and inoffensive to the nose. The pear blossom and gardenia make for a very soft floral, it screams bridal!

I don’t consider myself a floral person at all, but I really adore this scent! Btw, the matching, First Sight, found on the men’s side, is a dupe for BR540.

the packaging is gorgeous AND the scent is gorgeous i feel so fancy. very florally i spray it on my hair and i can smell it in school

I came here to say this reminded me of something and OMG VIVA LA JUICY! It is a lot more floral than VLJ but I really enjoy this. My bottle of VLJ is almost gone so I can use this until I get a new one. If you already have VLJ you can layer them together. I first smelled the EDP in store and I was impressed. It never occurred to me that it smelled like VLJ until I read that on here. I just knew that something was oddly familiar about it lol. I don't get the sweet caramel note that you get in VLJ. There isn't anything gourmand going on. This is the clean girl version of VLJ. I love that it has the new textured cap just like the Luminous bottle (RIP:(). Please put the notes on here. They are missing!

^_^ it reminds me of my aunt. I always thought she smelled fresh and clean and airy and that is how I would describe this, kinda like a really fresh from the clothes line laundry at grandmas house (cause she just does it better) kinda smell lol I really like to layer this with other things to give them more complexity. Amazing to layer and make things smell more high-end I feel like. Not too overpoweringly soapy for those worried about it I feel like, but just enough to be fresh and airy. Edit: Had a chance to smell Gucci gorgeous gardenia since this review, and I have to say they smell pretty dang similar off of memory lol

Creamy, white floral with a feminine and clean scent. It has a slightly soapy undertone and a hint of musk, making it ideal for spring or summer. This fragrance evokes images of long, flowy summer dresses or a lightweight white nightgown. If you're not a fan of florals, this might not be for you. While I typically prefer gourmand fragrances, I do enjoy some florals. However, some days, I like it, and other days, not as much. Sometimes it can give me a bit of headache. 5/10 Sillage 5/10 Longevity 6/10

This opens with a sweet synthetic fruit note. Pear generally doesn't work for me and can go too screechy, and it's doing that a bit here. Other than pear i get mostly woods with a hint of the gardenia. It's sweet and mass appealing but too sweet for me. I wish there was more gardenia in this because I can tell that the gardenia is nice. I like it once it's almost disappeared from my skin and it's all gardenia and no pear. Very pretty and creamy but it's sadly almost gone.

This is a passable white floral, but I feel as if I've smelled this a few times already. It's really quite pretty, and it feels like the gardenia is extremely rounded off, softened, sweetened, and given a plushly white musk. I personally enjoy my gardenia fragrances to have more prowess, so it's not something I'm personally gravitating toward. I would, however, not hesitate to compliment someone else on this. It's clearly quite tasteful and has a certain elegance to it.

My experience with this one is different from many of the other reviews. This isn't bad but on me this is sharp - "starched white dress shirt" type of scent. Definitely clean smelling, laundry-like but I don't get anything cozy, soft of comforting about this here. If you like to smell freshly soaped up and showered then I think this one hits that target. Also smells unisex, not feminine-leaning to me.

This smells so CLEAN in a slightly fruity/flowery kind of way, not necessarily soapy clean way. I can definitely see a fabric softener sheet smelling like this! You must buy it, even if you have to buy it blind. Lol Fragrance notes: pear blossom, ivory gardenia and satin woods.

I really wanted to like this, but the initial spray-on smells synthetic and the dry-down smells like baking soda. The scent notes seem gorgeous but I don't know if it's just my skin or a defective bottle, but it doesn't translate. It makes me nauseous. I'll come back later to see if my opinion on it changes. Edit: Still getting overpowering baking soda from it, tried it on other people and it's not just my skin chemistry. It might just be the bottle, because the tester smelled lovely. I may have been overwhelmed from the other scents, so I'm not too sure.

this is icy cold gardenia. smells exactly like gucci flora gardenia. i don't personally like it. but it depends you either love it or hate it. i don't like how sharp it is. i hate it but my friend loves it. it depends on your nose. you have to smells it in person. not a safe buy at all

Good Lord, take me away (k!ll me now!). This is God awful. It literally almost took me to my death. WHY would you do this to someone? This is like a murder weapon!!!!! If you think this smells like Viva La Juicy, I'm sorry, but you are noseblind.

Finally, I got the chance to try this Popular Body Mist Dressed In White by Bath & Body Works. To my nose the opening was a blast of creamy white florals with juicy pear, but the drydown is clean and comforting!❤️ The well balanced blending of notes make it smell gorgeous. The smell instantly reminded me of their fragrances: Viva La Juicy EDP, Mugler Alien Goddess Supra Florale and Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia. The mist followed almost the same DNA, I think. Overall it's a beautiful elegant Fragrance and if you love white florals you should give this a try.

Love at first sniff, smells so fresh and clean with a hint of flowers. Perfectly soft and smells similar to the dove bar soap (which imo is the best smell), but with added soft white flowers. I’d definitely wear this on my wedding day but otherwise, this is gorgeous as an every day scent. Also how cute is the bottle??!!! Looks so pretty on my dressing table🩷 if I had to compare dressed in white to other bath and body works scents I’d say this is in the same range as pure wonder and hello beautiful, but this is more sophisticated than both.

I went in to try Pure Wonder because I had a coupon and people on Reddit were saying it reminded them of Dove soap. I didn't smell much of anything with PW. I decided on this scent instead because it's cold, crisp, clean, fresh, soapy and airy. I don't get much sweetness at all, which to me, is a good thing. Fragrance notes: pear blossom, ivory gardenia and satin woods. No musk listed but I definitely get white musk from this one...

Verrrry similar to Viva la juicy. Gucci too but VLJ was the original with that DNA. In fact it's a pretty common department store perfume smell but I can't help but love it. It's not an astringent floral, it's quite musky to me but in a sweet way. Not a super descript scent where you can pick out a lot of natural notes. It's an almagamation of pretty and feminine. It's also a very strong ffm. Lasts on me for a good long while.

Less like Viva La Juicy and more like Gucci Flora Gardenia. Even if you don't like florals, in fact if you HATE them, this is still a safe buy. It's 1. sweet 2. fruity and then 3. floral. But it's not sugar overload, cupcake sweet. It is not going to make you think of any specific food. People see the word "floral" and these lose their minds, screaming grandma and recoiling in terror. Absolutely not.

Smells fresh, smells fruity, smells sweet. As with other BBW scents, going off of ingredients list, you should be able to figure out if you're going to like it or not. This is definitely a spring fragrance. It's freshly petals blooming under a sunny yet humid day. Perfect for park dates, perfect for picnics. The name stands because this could pass off as a faint wedding smell.

I wanted to like this, but soon as I came into the store one of the Sales Associates straight up said "smell this it smells just like Viva La Juicy" and when I smelled it I was mad that she was right. I have had so many VLJ dupes that I am over that scent. I do want to revisit this scent however.

I wanted to love this but it’s giving bug spray on me 🫣 It’s probably the pear note, as that tends to not agree with me often. I’m more of an airy floral, sweet fruity, or clean musk person. It’s not terrible, I can see why people love it, but it’s not working with my chemistry.

This one is a powerhouse. It smells like perfume, I would definitely say it smells like a more floral version of viva la juicy!
