Dressed In White

Beautiful dupe of Gucci’s Floral Gorgeous Gardenia. I love Gardenia but it is a tough note because it can smell dated or sharp. Dressed in white is gentle and feminine but still unapologetically white floral. This was marketed as a wedding scent, and you are getting what is advertised. I could see a traditional bride wearing this. There is no abrasiveness to the white florals and it wears soft and silky, so I could see someone wearing this every day too. I wore this on my vacation in the Georgia mountains. And this performed beautifully in the hot weather. It lasted about 4 hours with a moderate projection. Which I think is reasonable for an affordable BBW dupe. 8/10. I like this so much that I am holding off on purchasing Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia, which has been on my wish list forever. Below are a few combination that I tried. Being Frenchie Cashmere Vanilla. The lovely vanilla base added to the longevity. This combo toned down the gardenia and added some earthy sweetness. SDJ Cheirosa 48. Wore Cheirosa 48 in my hair and Dressed in White everywhere else. This seems like an odd combo but the tropical notes blend so smoothly with the satin and gardenia. Kayali Utopia Vanilla Coco. I have mixed feelings about the gardenia in Utopia. It can wear a bit sharp but when combined with dressed in white it’s beautiful, clean , and calming with a touch of coconut 10/10 combination. 7 Virtues Coconut Sun. The opening is a salty gardenia and then it dries down to a blend of coconut and white florals. BBW Iced Lemon Poundcake. I saw this suggestion on fragrantica. Its another odd one but the white florals and the gourmand lemon really complment each other. SDJ Cheirosa 87. Smells like tuberose and gardenia sunscreen. These two florals are like two best friends at the beach. Another 10/10 combination. Dolce and Gabbana Devotion. I wore this on a hot summer day and it wasn't too heavy at all. I then went to the gym in the afternoon and I liked it even more when I started to get a little sweaty. The silage also got stronger.

Here it is, a wedding day. I don't think of people wearing this as much as it is simply in the air on a bride's big day. It's mild but it kind of grows on you, you know. Makes me think of the Ultraviolence music video, or maybe fairies. Not a bad thing at all. I wouldn't wear it because I just think this is maybe a little too angelic for my vibe, which trends towards jolly old detective gentleman with a pipe.

This is a passable white floral, but I feel as if I've smelled this a few times already. It's really quite pretty, and it feels like the gardenia is extremely rounded off, softened, sweetened, and given a plushly white musk. I personally enjoy my gardenia fragrances to have more prowess, so it's not something I'm personally gravitating toward. I would, however, not hesitate to compliment someone else on this. It's clearly quite tasteful and has a certain elegance to it.

It's a nice scent, but it's a bit too bright and floral for me and gives me a headache. The packaging is beautiful and it truly is a nice scent, just not for me. The gardenia is the same gardenia as the White Gardenia candle, but with the hint of pear blossom.

A genuinely lovely scent. It’s not my personal preference because I like fruity florals, but this screams bridal and wedding. It’s very soft and inoffensive to the nose.

Smells like pure wonder to me 😔
