Fairytale

A gorgeous, sweet, enchanting, cozy, warm, and dreamy amber vanilla! I really love it! The pomegranate nectar gives it a sweet, juicy, and somewhat tangy scent that is really pretty with the fresh orange blossom. The vanilla bean and amber add a lovely sweet and creamy golden warmth. Although I don’t see any additional notes listed, it’s also got this fresh and elegant woodsy scent to it. An extremely pleasant fragrance that’s a very easy reach! I definitely see the similarities to YSL Libre line. While they really are similar fragrances, I still wouldn’t exactly call Fairytale a dupe. Probably the biggest difference is that this has no lavender, while lavender is a key component of Libre. Still though, this is an excellent option if Libre is a little too pricey for you. Also, I think Fairytale pairs beautifully with Libre, and I love using the body care products with it. This is one of my favorite fragrances from B&BW and I hope to always have it in my collection. I have it in the fragrance, body mist, lotion, body scrub, and body wash. I think that this divine scent works really well year round, is great for pretty much any occasion, and works well for layering. It also seems to be a pretty big crowd pleaser and a rather safe blind buy. I get great longevity with Fairytale, it lasts all day on me. The projection is nice as well, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. The performance is even better when I use the body care products with it.

It takes a lot for me to like a vanilla-dominant fragrance but Fairytale won me over. I first sampled it at my friend’s house a couple months ago and I could still smell the dreamy, ethereal goodness on my clothes 2 days later. It’s been on my wishlist ever since, just now I finally caved and got a full size, and I’m so glad I did. The body spray is a very smooth and long-lasting concoction that mixes well with any floral, fruity or gourmand perfume. I like spraying this on my clothing while wearing a more concentrated fragrance on my pulse points. Best B&BW scent by far next to Sweater Weather.

Fairytale is perhaps one of the most decent releases from BBW in a long time. I have the YSL Libre and Libre Intense, and I get the comparison, but Fairytale is the most wearable and inoffensive. I actually would reach for FT more than the other two. The orange blossom in this one isn't screechy, while the pomegranate adds freshness. Meanwhile, the amber and vanilla give it the right amount of smoothness. I haven't encountered a person who didn't like this, so it's a safe blind buy.

this scent is a compliment magnet! it could be easy to pass because of the floral body mist connotation but it offers a lot. the opening is reminiscent of Libre but the scent itself is a sweet floral that carries some depth. the cozy vanilla is coming from within without turning sickly sweet or boldly vanillic, but also takes away the possibility of the scent being a green fresh floral. i wear it after shower and i always get noticed for how nice i smell. lasts for 4-6 hours too!

Fairytale is not really much of a fairytale like how the title says. this smells borderline medicinal but then the vanilla comes in and makes it smell immaculate 🤩 the drydown is kind of synthetic and kind of relaxing at the same time... i recommend getting this as that small perfume spray/edp if you admire vanilla scents and old-timey vintage stuff. This perfume definitely has a vintage element to it somehow, and that’s why i appreciate it so much.

Rating this based on the body cream. This gets me compliments constantly and my coworkers can smell me from the door when I walk up to them. It also lasts almost the whole work day. Pretty surprising for bath and body works. I love the unique floral, fruity and vanilla combo. The orange blossom is pretty dominant but I think it blends well with the pomegranate and amber. Husband doesn’t like it?? So it stays with me at work lol

Best b&bw scent ever created omg. Perfectly blended and put together clean and soft vanilla white floral scent. it lasts SO long for being a body spray. I’ll spray it on my clothes and wake up and still smell the scent on me. Starts more floral and settles as a light fresh vanilla and amber. Not too overpowering or harsh like other white floral notes can be. So beautiful idk how anyone could dislike it.

I wish bbw released actual perfumes that lasted long bc I love this scent so much!!!!!!! i always have it lying somewhere in my collection and it has never let me down... warm vanilla + white florals keep it safe but the fruitiness + soft spiciness keep it interesting. this is supposedly a dupe for libre, but I think they lean more towards being relatives in the same white floral-ambery scent family

I love this scent. I have the mini perfume and the body mist and I think the performance of each is very similar, so if you are debating getting the perfume, I wouldn't bother. As far as a dupe of Libre....well...similar vibes but Fairytale has the pomegranate which makes it fruitier and no lavender. I love them all. I have Libre, Libre Intense and Zara Golden Decade and of course Fairytale

I'm gonna add a new review. I like this more and more as time goes on. Maybe it is the fact my nose can now pick up on more of the individual notes in this smell. I don't know if that is from my product macerating or my nose being more trained over time? haha I just have the body mist and body cream, not the edp. It seems like the BBW edp's are not very long lasting from what I've seen.

Pulled this out again today in the body spray and wow. I adore this scent. It makes me feel good, beautiful, and wrapped up in a warm, Amber-vanilla cloud + some added sunshine from the orange blossom. I could smell the fine fragrance mist floating around me for ATLEAST 5 hours and then it tones down and sits a bit closer, but she is still there! Literally gorgeous

This definitely reminds me of Libre Intense but without the lavender/jasmine which I like because I find the florals in Libre and even Libre Intense pull a little strong on me. It's like BBW took the best of Libre Intense which in my opinion is the vanilla/amber/orange blossom and made it into it's own fragrance. This is a pleasant versatile easy to wear fragrance.

This is like a diluted Libre Intense without the heavy lavender and floral notes. I like it. I find Libre Intense is nice but too heavy on the lavender and jasmine. I like those notes but find they turn a bit sharp on me sometimes. I was only able to get the body spray which doesn't have good lasting power. If they release the EDP again I will snap it up for sure.

I love. I'd even get a backup if I find one in store. One of the few "cheap" fragrances I enjoy, smells alot more expensive than it is in my opinion. As someone who has Libre and Libre intense as well, I do not get the comparison at all, however I'll do a side by side test sometime in the next week.

What an unexpected surprise! I have the body wash and am in love. It is slightly sweet but the delicious amber is the most prominent note. Now I need to track down the fragrance. The bottle is lovely, too.

this smells soooo good! it's one of the best scents I've smelt in a while. I have the shimmer spray as well and when I use them I can still smell them on my skin the next day. it's divine

I was shocked at how much I loved this. I was so upset when I went to buy more of the collection and found out it was discontinued. Stop discontinuing your best scents Bath & Body Works!

I think this smells good. I get the amber, floral, and pomegranate. I don't think this is anything special though.

truly does smell like a fairytale.. very amber heavy, a lil bit of vanilla. one of the only 'warm' scents i like

This smells so beautiful! It feels like you’re going outside for some fresh air. It’s so elegant and beautiful.

I’m gonna be honest, I bought this for the name alone. Fairies are kind of my thing. My mother saw it when shopping for me for Christmas and she bought it for me, too 😂 so I own every product in this scent, with some backups as well now. I don’t have any regrets. I don’t get the pomegranate nectar for very long, which is a little disappointing, but I am a big fan of amber vanilla/amber floral scents, and the orange blossom is the perfect heart note for this simple beauty. The sillage is okay and the longevity is definitely better when paired with the lotion or body cream. The scent is kinda basic but still pretty. It’s a year-round scent for any occasion.

Fairytale is a fun, pleasant scent and is instantly recognizable as a Bath and Body Works fragrance. It’s a sweet fruity vanilla with any floral notes barely noticeable. I like BBW quite a bit when I am in the mood for these types of scents, and I enjoy this particular one, but nothing new or unusual has been created here. Apart from both being sweet and ambery, I don’t think Fairytale smells like Libre, at least not on me. I don’t think anyone would mistake Fairytale for Libre while being worn. I have this in the body mist and it is light but long lasting, at least 3 to 4 hours, which I think is pretty good for a mist.

A fun, light, floral vanilla that is sure to be inoffensive for any nose. Pretty light, even if you pair it with the body care line, so don't expect more than 3 hours from this. Best for a situation that you cannot wear a heavy fragrance, or right before bed.

I love this perfume! I used the fine body mist until it was gone and then found out they’d discontinued the scent only to find they made a perfume! It’s woodsy and whimsical and makes me feel like a fancy cottagecore witch gathering herbs.

I’m a gourmand or fruity florals girl, but this is beautiful! The lotion layers fantastic with the YSL Libre or the Valentino Voce Viva and their flankers.

noo it doesn't smell like libre attt all . libre is floral with woody undertone butt this is flirty fruity very sweet perfume 🤦♀️

This is a more fruity version of Ysl Libre Intense. It's nice but not my favorite, I like to pair it with D&G Light blue

This is Libre’s baby sister. It’s not as bold as Libre but they definitely smell similar.

This smelled nicer in the bottle to me, it was a light fruity scent with some subtle sweetness, a great spring and summer scent. But once I put it on, it’s get a little too floral and lasts maybe 30 minutes. Even layering it with the body care, it doesn’t last.

i actually really like this scent, i can smell vanilla and all the other scents in the mix. it's not too drastic, though you can definitely tell that it's a bath and body works scent, but i would still recommend this to anyone interested.

All I smell is a powdery Coconut smell. I know that’s not in the notes but that’s what I get when I sniff it. Glad I only got a travel spray.

Bought it today. The scent is too week. Leo zodiacs wont use it. I'd prefer Gingham Gold intead

Why did I fall for the hype and buy this knowing full well I utterly despise orange blossom? *Sigh* Not a bad fragrance at all, if you like/love orange blossom, but for me, it's a horror story.

This is such an over hyped juice that I blind bought this and as is the case with most of blind buys, it was a major disappointment! On my skin, the Pomegranate note overpowers everything...and its not the fresh Pomegranate note rather a stale one followed by fake Vanilla baking essence note. I was excited to buy this as many reviews suggested that it's a near perfect dupe to YSL Libre. I haven't tested YSL Libre but I'm glad I didn't buy it, cuz if libre smells anything like "fairytale" on me then I might barf.

I don't know whatbthey we're going for here but they really screwed it up. It smells like a bad flowery mess. Somehow old woman and gross teenager in the same bottle. No.

It’s nothing compared this to Libre. It’s a dusty musty dry down.

This review is for the eau de perfume not the body spray. The body spray has its own section on here. I have a travel size and full bottle of the edp and I am so happy I bought it. Yes there is a resemblance to libre intense but this is fruitier and more youthful and even sweeter. If the lavender bothered you in libre intense, try fairytale eau de perfume, if you can still find it. I even love zara golden decade and fairytale pairs very well with that as well because they all have hints of each other when you smell them. I love orange blossom centric scents so this really does it for me in all the forms. If you can't find fairytale eau de perfume on ebay or mercari then the body spray is a great alternative but it doesn't last as long as the edp.

Love this fragrance. I have the body spray version as well as the shower gel and lotion, but it’s pure vanilla amber goodness. The orange blossom works so well with it - it doesn’t really smell citrusy to my nose, but rich and floral to compliment the sweetness. I adore YSL Libre Intense (specifically Libre Intense only) and this smells similar in my opinion, but doesn’t have the same depth. For Bath and Body Works though, I think this scent is classy, sexy and sophisticated and pairs or layers well with Libre Intense. Really hope they keep this one around.

This is not a dupe for YSL Libre but its a similar scent and its great if you like orange flower and warm spicy scents. I was late to the party because when i was looking for it in BBW, they only had shower gel and fragrance mists left and SA told it was a seasonal scent. So I guess they will be discountinuing it as they always do. I think if you like YSL LIbre or The Body Shop Indian Jasmine, you will like it and its great for layering.

I purchased the body mist from Bath and Body Works and I’m in love! Like I may have found my signature Summer scent! Everyone says this smells like YSL Libre but I don’t see the similarities at all! Libre leads with Lavender on my skin while Fairytale leads with orange and vanilla! I just found a site that has the EDP so I will be purchasing that as well! This one really is one for the books. I love it so much!

I smelled this in the store and didn't like it. Seems I'm the minority here with that one. It smelled weird to me. All I could smell was some weird wood smell. It didn't work to me like the wood scent in Wicked Vanilla Woods. This just smelled really odd. I was sad because the name and packaging are super faerie core/cottage core.

I did not like her at first. It was sickly sweet and cloying too me. But as my nose developed to sniffing out certain notes, I definitely began to give her a go around. It’s very heavy on white florals which I currently like so it’s more of a Valentine’s Day, Easter scent than a summer scent or winter scent.

I own the spray and lotion and i love pairing them with Libre Intense and with the EDT. I dont own the OG but im sure it will be complimentary. Its pretty on its own as well. I feel like this may pair well with Light Blue Intense for some reason. Thats next on my purchase list so we shall see!

Perfection. Grown up. Sweet. Classy. Sophisticated. I like to pair this with VS Bare Vanilla Untamed lotion, then add Bodycology's Whipped Vanilla, and Fairytale in heavy does on top. This combo is so so good and lasts my entire work day. Well done BBW!

The comparison to Libre is very accurate. Libre is obviously more nuanced. I prefer it, but I could see some people wanting the same scent profile, but more toned down. I would definitely prefer to wear Libre so this one is a pass for me.

No idea what the reviews are talking about, I went into the store and got one this and it was fairytale. I don’t understand how people hate this and like iced sugar plum. I feel like I’m going crazy.

This smelled nice in the store and I love the bottle so I picked it up - but it had a weird woody vibe on me. I returned it and got Pure Wonder - which worked much better for me.

I was a little upset I had to pay full price for this spray during the annual sale but omg it’s worth every penny!!! As soon as this goes on sale I’m going to buy 10 more lol

Most have said this already. It's pretty. It's a generic smell. BBW has much better. I bought a spray half off. I'll use it. Gym, after a shower, or something. Meh.

An admirable dupe of the YSL Libre line. It's not EXACTLY the same to my nose, but it is certainly very close.
