Firecracker Pop

First spray reminds me of opening a cherry Kool-Aid packet, sour sweet sugar straight to the nose complete with the puff of powder that makes you wanna cough. Within seconds it begins to dry down and settle into the skin and it's cherry koolaid in water, still very very sweet. As it begins to wear on the skin I'm reminded of the original sweet pea, which at one point was very very sweet, more sweet than pea, or floral as it is now. Today's rendition gives hair spray or shampoo like quality but I can remember wearing it when I was a teenager and it was very very sweet which is why I liked it. The drydown of Firecracker gives me those nostalgic vibes, of flirting with boys and forgetting to do my Spanish Homework. Lucky rabbit keychains, stealing a cute boy's jacket and not giving it back, dying my hair black, walking home in the rain, smuggling (and drinking) Fruit Punch Four Lokos on the bus, and the possibilities of life being endless and unknown, and smelling like raspberry candy, otherwise known as Sweet Pea. I love Bath & Body Works for recycling the same scents over and over again so you can revisit the scents you feel emotionally connected to, I just hate how they constantly reformulate the current ones and keep the same name, and the scents you once loved you have to find again with a totally different name sometimes with years in between rereleases. I do wish they were more transparent about re-releases rebottled and renamed. You have to go kissing many frogs, or spraying and trying many scents in the store before you find your long lost Prince.

i want to preface this review by saying i realize i will sound psychotic when i speak my truth... but i must! this doesn't feel like a b&bw spray so much as it does a bourgeois, niche arthouse perfume. if i was doing a blind test and someone told me that toskovat' had gotten really into lana del rey and bruce springsteen and wanted to release a perfume dedicated to americana i'd be like WOW THEY NAILED IT!!!! and pay the absurd 150 euros for a 30ml of it. sure, it does have sickly sweet bomb pop elements it promises but that's a mere amuse-bouche to all the other elements. it's not just a bomb pop, but 4th of july encapsulated. it opens with the bomb pop which quickly melts on the hot summer sidewalk. then you get smoke from fireworks and the bbq + pool water splashing on cement - the whole celebration. i'm glad some of the other reviews mention the concrete/asphalt and pool water notes so i know i haven't completely lost it. the only place it falls short is longevity which, as always from b&bw, is pathetic. but that's something many niche fragrances struggle with too, the main difference being this costs $5 for over 200ml so i will continue to drown myself in it anytime i want that burst of 4th of july nostalgia.

Love it. First time smelling it I was on a hike this year 2025, and a fellow hiker in front of me had a delicious scent trail. A light clean bright scent. At the end of hike I asked her what she was wearing that smelled so good and it was only body lotion by Bath and Body Works Firecracker pop. Luckily scent works on me too. I have the body wash, body cream and body spray. Lasts all day. At first smell it reminds me of Hawaiian Punch soda. As it dries down it is a clean fruity bright scent. Glad to have finally discovered this scent as it was exactly the kind of hot weather scent I had been looking for. Another great spring or summer scent I just discovered is Avon Faraway Bali another clean bright fruity floral! Also, a fellow hiker was wearing this and had an amazing scent trail. Faraway Bali is more similar but not a dupe for Chloe L’eau. Just similar scent family.

I absolutely adore this scent! By far my favourite from bath and body works. You can smell the cherries first, and then some sweet fruit smells, and then some citrus ones. It's extremely fruity, but the cherrys actually smell like fruit and not something like cough syrup, which a lot of cherry scents often smell like. It smells like your walking past a smoothie bar, and someone is making a cherry smoothie. So you can mainly smell the fruity cherry, but you can also smell hints of other fruit in the background. Harmonising perfectly with the sweet scent of the cherry, and the citrus at the end is amazing, as well! And it it balances the sweetness out perfectly, so its a lot more softer and less in your face.

I've heard from so many people that this reminded them of Hawaiian Punch, but I didn't expect it to be the EXACT smell when I tried it the first time! Honestly, you could give me a blind scent test of this and a cup of Hawaiian Punch, and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It's a very strong sugar scent, which is incredibly nostalgic for those of us who grew up with summers full of fake fruit juice and pining after the wild-colored popsicles displayed on the side of the ice cream truck.

Smells just like a bomb pop with more cherry, it's got a slight hairspray to it as well but I think it just makes the cherry smell more bitter. My boyfriend isn't very much of a fan and I imagine it's because of the bitterness. Nonetheless I love it a lot and it's very easy to reach for when you're just running out the door in the middle of summer when everyone's waiting on you to get ready to have a lake day.

Smells exactly like the red white and blue popsicles. It’s a sweet cherry scent and I love it! However, Longevity is negative-poor. You have to douse yourself with this stuff to smell it an hour later. I typically spray about 20 times with the recent releases of bbw, as they are super light these days. For this, 35-40 sprays will get you a decent dose for 3/4 hours. I paired it with kayali’s lovefest.

I am loving Firecracker Pop! Initially the sweet cherry smells like a delicious popsicle, and oddly enough the dry down smells like a watermelon scented sunscreen which sounds weird but I'm kinda obsessed with it for the summer at the pool or going to a picnic or barbecue. The scent initially comes out strong but calms down to be very soft and not overpowering. Super fun scent for summer days!

I absolutely adore this scent, it smells exactly like a bomb pop. It has a very distinct cherry syrup smell, but its quite light and more of an airy sugar smell. At times, it does also give a very sweet hairspray. It does not last long though, so I will spray a little on a shirt or jacket I'm wearing (or even my hair) since it seems to stick best anywhere else but the skin lol.

This is one of those scents that just makes you want to drink the entire bottle. Imagine the most perfectly ripe cherry to ever exist, multiply it by a thousand and you have Firecracker Pop. I wish this was what bomb pops tasted like. That being said, the lasting power is ass. If they made an EDP of this I would purchase it instantly.

This is cherry popsicles and pool-water-soaked-concrete. It's a childhood summer, and I love it. I actually get really good longevity and projection, unlike with most B&BW mists, and I also like layering this with other things. It's definitely summer only for me, but I absolutely love it when the hot weather hits!

Perfect 4th of July scent. Very quintessentially American: pickup trucks, stars & stripes, country music, football, and fireworks. This is not necessarily my America, but it’s a version I sometimes crave and this scent takes me there. It’s tart, bright, sparkling, and sweet.

This is a beautiful novelty scent. I use it up for summer parties. It is so wonderfully bomb-pop in scent that it becomes room-body-coordination-house-etc scent that I have enjoyed so very much. But outside of the 'Merica season in the summer, it is relatively useless.

A literal Bomb Pop! Conjures feelings of being at the pool, summer and all the things! Longevity leaves a lot to be desired, but just spray more on (as the price is right). A cheerful vibe. I love it with Bobbi Brown Beach for a photorealistic day by the water.

This scent is so lovely! This is such a summer scent. It’s very juicy, like a fruit cup. Light and playful. I’m so glad I was able to get my hands on it during the sale! I wanted this one for about a couple of years now! Happy to finally own it!

A fun sweet cherry popsicle scent. I love it, it smells delicious! However, you can really only get away with wearing it in the summer months. I might pick up a travel size every few years.

A strong and sharp cherry syrup kind of smell. Not too sweet and is perfect for the summer season.

Cherry Icee and pool water. I will crave one all day when I wear this.

The perfect 4th of July scent.

Edited on 6/29/2025: It does have a berry scent, it's just so light I couldn't detect it in the store. I bought one of these anyway during the semi-annual sale because it was so cheap and I like the fireworks art so I thought it would be cool for 4th of July. Glad I did, I can totally smell the berries when I spray it at home. They didn't have any of the lotions left, just the spray, so I'm glad it has a cherry scent because I was able to pair it with the Sweetheart Cherry lotion that I hadn't finished in the spring. Original review from 5/23/2025: Just sugar. Was expecting fruity. I sniffed it in the store and admittedly the background scent level in there is pretty high, but it really just smells like straight sugar from the sugar bowl. It's not distinctive enough for me to want it in addition to all the other sweet frags I already have. The ones they have in the store now don't have the popsicle art on them, the art is fireworks and patriotic stars, looks like a 4th of July theme.

Maybe it's one of those "our there" mists that BBW throws into their seasonal stuff, but surprisingly more complex than many of the nauseating Halloween and Holiday scents. If you like Vampire Blood, it's similar, but with no floral component, pumping the brakes on the strawberry, and leading with the cherry. I mainly pick up on cherry Icee. Not too fresh fruity, but not horribly synthetic. There's also a complex note I can't put my finger on that is almost... smoky? I don't know how they did it. Every time I get a whiff I think about Pop Rocks. Wore this to a Halloween party and I kept getting waves of it even after several hours. Love that they release this every year it's very unique.

It has a slight smokiness in it. When I first tried it, it smelled like burned cherry popsicle melting on a hot sidewalk. You have to be in the mood for it to wear it. Some days you will crave it and others you will want to hide it in the back row of your shelf. I think it's worth owning for those who need to have a huge array of scents in their collections.

My Lizzy Grant spray! I used to fumigate my room with this to hide the smell of cigarettes lingering on my clothes and windowsill before my mom came in. Cherry summer night delight! Would never seriously wear this after the age of 16, but I still have it in the cabinet of my old room for memories, or just in case I guess.

I like this one well enough. It's got a little bit of sourness to it that I don't tend to lean towards since I'm sweet-tooth (sweet-nostril??) when it comes to perfume, but I think it works since it does have that lime aspect of it. I feel like this scent works best when layered with other perfumes.

Smells like melty runoff from one of those tri-coloured popsicles as pictured on the bottle. If you haven't had one, picture if you mixed the cherry and blue raspberry slushee's at your local convenience store. It smells cheap and cloying, but in a way that is accurate to what it's trying to imitate. It has some sort of floral note when I smell it that I don't love, but that won't be a problem if you don't hate floral perfumes like I do. I find B&BW doesn't do very good gourmands but I think this is good for the price if you can catch it on sale like I did. As long as you know what to expect going in, of course

Just got this for less than $5 on clearance. As a lover of the red, white, and blue popsicles, this smells so delicious and I am thrilled. ETA: Unfortunately on clothes this dries down to smell like bugspray... but on my skin it stays nice and sweet, which is impressive because many sweet scents disappear on my skin almost instantly Editing again: what a roller coaster of an experience I've had with this fragrance. I saw another review say it smells like celery. Unfortunately, this is very true. Sometimes it really just smells like a menthol slathered celery stick. I don't really like it anymore :(

Tempted to rate this as a "like," but testing it yesterday, it turned a liiiiiitle bit body-odor-esque on my skin. As a candle or soap though, I really like it. I don't always enjoy cherry, but this one doesn't lean medicine-like OR into that nutty territory that usually reminds me of soda. It's sweet, bright, and really does smell like a popsicle. I also think it's a nice fun, fruity scent without leaning TOO juvenile.

This smells like eating a red, white, and blue popsicle next to a swimming pool on a sweltering hot summer day. I get the cherry/berry and the citrus, along with some unexpected notes that I swear are giving chlorine/pool water. Although this isn't for me, I can't fully dislike it because what you see is absolutely what you get!

so at first glance, it smells like cherries, duh. but for some reason i can capture a note in there that smells like a whipped vanilla custard? and then it goes to a citrus smell of course and not sure about the berry note. im not hsting but this is definitely for summer season

It's not this fragrance...it's me. I don't like cherry, and cherry is 75% of this cute little fragrance. B&BW hit a bullseye with this, it's exactly what a bomb pop smells like. It's not a heavy or syrupy cherry at all, it's light and crisp, and this is refreshing for hot summer days. There's almost a lemony edge to this as well, and it's juicy. Ignore my dislike of this, I'm just being honest to my taste (I really try to enjoy cherry, and I simply don't) but there's nothing wrong with this and it's one of those fun, peppy fragrances you can just throw on when you don't want anything serious. Longevity is poor, but I'm not sure who would even expect a light, fruity, summery mist from B&BW to be. I would grab it soon if you plan on owning it, because it looks like its rising in price and it was seemingly a limited edition!

I really want to like this one but my skin chemistry turns it into a celery/cilantro scent that I can't get past (this is it being put on freshly showered skin). Its a shame too because I have the body mist, body lotion and even the body wash.. I've tried it a couple times now with the same result. Edit: I used just the body wash tonight while I took a shower and it hasn't turned foul on me.. There must be something in the lotion and body spray my chemistry my body just doesn't agree with

i wanted to like this so bad. i really did. but this smells like plastic lettuce, both on skin and when it’s in the spray and the lotion. the body wash for some odd reason is sweet and nice, but the spray? absolutely offensive. theres cherrys, there’s citrus, but with the hint of something else, i hate it. and its not the berries, i smell no berries, but, god. complete disappointment

disappointing...opening is lik the cherry part of bomb pops or fruit punch but once it starts to dry down there's this weird off putting synthetic n vegetal note tht makes my stomach turn...i also wish there was more lime n blue raspberry instead of an overdose of cherry, smthing more lik blue raspberry snow cone from bath n body

On initial spray it smells so good and juicy, but the drydown smells like a bomb pop and asphalt that was just placed. If it smelled similar to the initial spray I'd love this, but I just can't get over that drydown.

Loved the cherry note on paper... but the cherry completely disappeared on my skin.

When i first bought this i enjoyed it because ot smells like a rocket pop but after a while of wearing i started to hate it so much. The strong note of cherry smells quite nice and then citrus and then for some reason there a after linger of cigarette tobacco and it is not pleasant it hits you aggressively in the face and it really brings down the pleasant fruity scent.

It smells like celery.... I tried to like it but I just tossed it in the trash I couldn’t even unload it onto someone else. Idk who at BBW green lit this but they shouldn’t be in charge of nuffin’ (yes it’s spelled that way on purpose) else. 0/10 stars just gross!!

There's no way this is rated at 4/5 because this is the nastiest shite I've ever smelled. It seriously smells like a nursing home and if you've never smelled a nursing home, it smells REALLY BAD.

I threw it away after one usage, btw I’ve never thrown away a b&bw spray even if I didn’t like it.

I was just thinking about this fragrance for a few days and I wondered if they changed the cherry flavor because it smelt weird last year compared to 2023, but it might just be the lotion since b&bw give some of the lotions to be funky smelling once its on your skin. I really like this scent tho! its super cherry, not medicinal, and has some citrusy, refreshing fruitiness that I love, it really is July in a bottle. I wanna get some of this if it comes back this year because I feel like every time I wore it, it just makes me a little bit more happier about summer (despite the fact of the scorching heat). Its not necessarily a bad thing to smell like a Popsicle, and this is wearable without having to be juvenile too, it's just a fun scent, really.

I have the hand sanitizer of this just to see if I like it before buying the ffm. Wow it is like a photorealistic version of a rocket pop. I could even smell the wooden stick in the opening. The scent seems to last forever! I kept smelling something good and I think a few drops might have fallen on the carpet when my toddler used it because it was definitely that hand sanitizer. It’s so summery and almost has a refreshing watermelon note in it.

god this has such a nice cherry smell in it, I usually HATE how cherry scents smell because they always smell like straight up cough syrup to me (which is why I regret buying the sweet heart cherry spray) but this actually smells like cherries and I always use this when I want to smell like sweet berries. finally a cherry scent that doesn't make me feel incredibly nauseous!!

loved this when i bought it but im about 1/4th through the bottle and i suddenly find it foul. not to yuck anyones yum... however, i find its reminiscent of fabreeze & mildew mixed together. not dissimilar to when you walk into someone's house and you can tell their carpet is rancid and they're unsuccessfully using an air freshener in attempts to cover it up.

if you wanna smell like the taste of a bomb pop popsicle this is perfect for you. it's a strong body spray that smells just like the cherry popsicles they used to sell to the kids in my neighborhood when i was younger. has an aquatic feeling to it? (eating popsicles by the pool in the summer vibes) definitely summery and true to its name.
