Golden Eclipse

Golden Eclipse is is a linear woody berry scent. I have the cream and the body spray. It seems slightly unisex but leans feminine, which makes it easy to layer under a variety of scents. It is nice and clean and inoffensive. It has a slight laundry sheet quality to it. And a little warmth. The laundry sheet quality gives me the sensation I got by jeans out of the dryer and they are warm and smell fresh and a dryer sheet is stuck to them. While golden eclipse is “nice,” I view it as something to wear when chilling, totally casual or the cream would be a good one to wear under unisex aquatic scents or other linear non-complex scents or mix and match with Bath and Body works berry scents. If you are familiar with “A Thousand Wishes” perfume from BBW, Golden Eclipse is the less musky more versatile A Thousand Wishes. Golden Eclipse just seems to be something BBW released fall 2022 and is was discontinued quickly. I am glad I have it and happily use it but I will easily move on and not look back. I am sure I will forget about it. For now, I appreciate it for what it is: something nice to layer.

Duh BBW. You missed it. There was a solar eclypse on 4/8/2024, that passed by Ohio!! Yes maybe right over Columbus, Ohio? Why didn't you bring out a small bottle of this to celebrate. Seriously...... talk it over with marketing. I'll tell you this is much better than that Tutti Frutti for Easter stuff pushed every year. This is berry sweet, has a little of orange whiff, don't detect any heavy woodiness, no laundry scent at all on me. It is very appropriate for sun watching. Great under shadows too :) Too late!

Who is releasing notes for BBW these days??? The notes on Fragrantica are not better. The notes listed on the body spray are; "glowing berries, shimmering blossoms, & sun-warmed woods." There's a citrus aspect in Golden Eclipse that's derived from orange blossom, imo. I'm detecting sandalwood, maybe freesia. I cannot figure out which berry note is present, it's very generic. I layer this with orange blossom forward perfumes.

Lovely scent. I wore this in April 2024 for the total solar eclipse in Buffalo. Perfect pairing!

A generic and uninspired berry scent without much oomph or personality. While pleasant and easy to wear, she doesn't stick around and won't be memorable in a large collection.
