If You Musk

i've only smelled glossier you once or twice on paper, so i can't give much of a comparison. all i can say is i did not want to buy glossier you when i smelled it in store, but i did want to buy if you musk. i think glossier you might have been too peppery to my nose. i'm not sure. anyway! i really enjoy this. since it's getting cooler (and as a lover of gourmands), i've been wearing a lot of dense, vanillic, ambery perfumes lately. this body mist is a nice change of pace. it very simply smells like clean skin. like i just hopped out of the shower. it's a little sweet, slightly powdery, and soapy in a good way. i think the pink pepper helps round out the soapiness as well so it doesn't just smell like straight up shower gel. because of the fresh-out-of-the-shower feel, i think it's a super cozy bedtime or cuddling scent, but could also be great as a light daytime scent when i can't/don't want to wear my heavier fragrances. projection and sillage are pretty minimal and it becomes a skin scent within ~4 hours, but hey. it's a body mist. plus, utilize those $5.95 sales, y'all! honestly with this kind of scent profile, i like that it's close to the skin and don't mind that it lasts only a few hours-- it's like when you shower! that clean smell is intimate and fades as the day goes by. ♥

This scent has grown on me so much, I’ve fallen in love with it! I would describe it as a powdery, slightly sweet, floral, and musky skin scent. The pink pepper gives it the slightest peppery/spicy and effervescent note that just plays so well with the powdery and sweet iris and the musk. It smells so clean and fresh while still somehow being feminine and girly. I really wanted to try it out because I heard it’s supposed to be a skin scent similar to Glossier’s You, which I ended up totally loving. For those who are curious, this does smell very similar to Glossier You but is slightly sweeter. If You Musk's sweetness smells like possibly a candied violet or a fruity pear note, which is absent in Glossier You. Before I tried If You Musk, the only scents I used were sweeter and less floral scents, but this has converted me! I love wearing it on days where I want to feel cozy, comfortable, clean, and cute, :) It still feels girly because of the soft and slightly sweet iris note while being somewhat understated which i absolutely adore. It’s especially fun to wear to school and work, but I’ve also worn it out to dinner dates and special occasions! I love If You Musk so much and would definitely recommend smelling it if you’ve never tried this kind of scent profile before!!

I wish If You Musk was a permanent selection at Bath & Body Works, because this is exactly what I wish to smell like. Always. It's similar to Glossier You, but softer. It pairs well with everything. Airy, delicate, feminine, snuggly. I've paired If You Musk with a dupe for Byredo Mojave Ghost (pear/violet/cedar) and it was gorgeous, as well as a dupe for Le Labo Another 13 (pear/moss/amber). If You Musk is also gorgeous on her own. Adding a few carefully strategic sprays of Juliette Has a Gun's Not a Perfume Superdose helps add projection, lasting power and the animalic raw attraction of cetalox. If You Musk on her own smells like a warm close iris/violet/musk hug. She doesn't last and she's honestly not built to, but in her own way: she's perfect. I would love to be remembered by this scent. Le Monde Gourmand's Fleur de Blonde is a close cousin, which is also a snuggly skin scent (but FdB is more fruity with pear, If You Musk is powdery and floral and iris-forward). It's tricky to get skin scents like this to last, so this one requires constant respraying and/or a stronger pairing (like Superdose)... and I wouldn't mind constantly reapplying If You Musk (I love it that much), except that it's not available anymore 💔

I don't often wear body mists out of the house. This scent is just perfect for cozy-ing up at home or just fresh out of bath or running errands. It's the lipstick-y, makeup-y iris-musk kind of scent. Yet, it's not powdery but airy, smooth and transparent. It's fruity sweet, fresh, addictive and mouth-watering. It smells like spring time. It feels classy and womanly to me, I feel like a well-put-together 30s-40s woman wearing this. It isn't too mature or vintage though, just very clean and neat and grown. The person who wears this must have a very calm voice and is wealthy but humble. I can picture a man wearing and rocking this. Buy still, it leans more feminine to me. It's probably my fav BBW till this day. It's beautiful! And I think if you like In The Stars, you'll like this too. Of course it's fleeting, it's a body mist and this scent profile is usually fleeting. But it's perfect for the occasions I bought it for 🩷 I sometimes pair it with BBW Rose and they smell so elegant together. I highly recommend. 10/10.

Like a soapier Glossier You. Glossier You but sprinkled in with BYREDO Blanche. I have a hate love relationship with Blanche and I recognize it anywhere. It’s cleaner and soapier and can lean towards a bathroom scent. Whereas if you were buying this in hopes of smelling like Glossier You, it would’ve smelled like you applied Glossier You in an upscale and well kept bathroom. If you love both of the scents, congratulations you’ll love this one. It’s still a beautiful and clean and skin like musk. Simple, inoffensive, everyday, day or night, pleasant fragrance. It smells like someone who takes care of themselves and has a beautiful yet simple bath routine. As for individual notes, I think the stronger iris is what ties the familiarity of Blanche to. You do smell the pink pepper and musk as well and I don’t think they fight for the limelight. I just recognized the iris a lot better. In its dry down, it smells slightly closer to glossier’s you. Hmm

I am a big fan of Glossier You. Whenever I go to the in person locations and I smell all of the available fragrances Glossier has to offer, I'm still drawn to the freshness of the og Glossier You. Unfortunately I am a cheap af college student and I wanted to opt for a dupe. I do think that there is a more pear like-sweet note on the opening in comparison to GY (as far as I can remember). I wanted to love this fragrance as it's close enough to GY to an untrained nose like mine, however the longevity is absolutely AWFUL. Does not last on my skin, though maybe it's just a fragrance I go nose blind to really quick? Although the longevity and imo sillage is lackluster, I love the way it smells on my skin up close. It has a really nice sweetness to it that just makes my skin smell delectable. Great that it comes in an 8 oz with poor sillage and longevity I suppose LOL

This is sooo good! On me at first it smells like pear, as if you just got to your grandma’s house, went to the garden, grabbed a basketful of pears, and asked her to peel them for you. It just smells like that, not like other synthetic pear scents I’ve smelled before. Then in the drydown the musk and iris rise up, melting in a fresh, clean, slightly powdery scent. After an hour or two I even get the scent of peaches. The only downfall is it doesn’t have such a great sillage and projection, it’s more of a skin scent, but if you overspray or use an unscented lotion, you might at least get a decent longevity. I think it’s more suited for warm weather, since the scent might project better. Otherwise, it’s just perfect to spray after shower before you cuddle up in bed with a warm tea and a nice book to keep you company.

I own both this and Glossier You and it is SPOT ON! :-) it definitely is strong enough for it to project just as the regular Glossier... I think. I even sprayed this on my hand and rinsed it off and I can still smell it. Lucky for me I was able to purchase 2 bottles being on sale. Edit: I noticed that the notes of this and Glossier you are a little different. Glossier you contains ambroxan and ambrette but this contains a musk note. I believe that the perfumer list musk in place ambroxan and ambrette because to their nose it's the same or maybe because legally they can't list the same. But trust me it's an exact dupe. I have a bloodhound nose.

Wow wow wow. I love this! It smells like a light peach on my skin. Not soapy or overly sweet though. Very clean. I get the slight swedish fish comparison others are making, but it’s much lighter and not as synthetic as you’d think. The carrot, lipstick, and pencil shavings are very strange comparisons. I don’t get that at all, nor did I get that on any of the three people I tested this on. It must be a specific skin-chemistry that would make it pull in any of those directions. A delicious creamy, airy musk with a very light peachy quality. It smells like super clean skin. Gorgeous. Smells great on men and women! One of my favorites by B&BW.

I just bought this in a small decant bottle but fell in love at first spray. This is a my skin but better fragrance. Clean, pristine, and very classic. I agree that whilst it's simple, I can't stop smelling myself when I wear it. I smell like I'm showering as I walk. It goes fantastically well with my body chemistry. I can still smell it after 4 hours on my inner elbow and my skin. Of course I bought the full bottle after smelling it. This is an easy reach that I can wear anytime, anywhere. That said, this may not appeal to everyone and may smell like nothing or would be bad on others. Test it first before buying a full bottle of it.

Never tried Glossier You but I really love this. It smells very fresh, bright and clean. Very strong pear note at first, which I don't care for, but it fades away after a while. It dries down to a very pleasant musky skin scent that sticks around for a few hours, though I'm not sure it's detectable by anyone in my vicinity. Oddly, when I spray it on clothes I can't really smell anything. No notes, only CLEAN. So I actually think I'll use this spray to freshen up my clothes in between washes. Kind of like Febreze only way better. An incredibly pleasant layering combo: Nivea Milk body lotion + BBW If You Musk + Diptyque Fleur de Peau

If I had to only ever own one body spray for the rest of my life, this would be it. I'm glad I bought 3 extra bottles at some B&B sale when it came out. I'd heard it described as "Glossier You, with a pear note" and find that to be spot on. She is light, she is airy, she is fresh. It's a scent that calms my nervous system and I never get tired of it, even if I don't wear it all that often. It's a body spray, so it's gone before you think about it a second time, but a comforting cloud of happiness and nice complement to Glossier You when paired. If B&B had made this into a line, I'd have bought multiples of every product.

OMG! This perfume contains everything I’ve ever loved. The pear note is the most prominent, blended with musk. A beautiful opening—very fruity, mixed with gummy candies. When I smell it, it feels like some kind of bliss caresses me. This must be how God’s garden smells, I’m sure of it. After some time, it settles into the magnificent scent of a person who has control over their life—cheerful and smiling, staying in the most luxurious hotel. I see nothing negative about this perfume. It tempts you to keep smelling it. It is divine!

I love this! reminds me of Sonic Flower by Room 1015. The interesting part is Sonic flower has a earthy Carrot seed accord which I also pickup in this body mist but its not disclosed at all by bbw. I love over spraying this for longevity and I also love to layer this with other perfumes. Musky, powdery, cozy and slightly sweet; Almost like a pear note. I love Iris scents and it was an automatic Love on first spray for me. I have bought multiple backups in case they decide to not bring it back.(hopefully not the case)

This is the same as You by Glossier, Kaleidoscope by Bath and Body Works. That sweet, beautiful airy light musk scent is delightful!! This is my favorite scent profile hands down! This actually has staying power as I could still smell this on my clothes days later. I wish this line was permanent but once it comes back for the fall I'm getting almost everything in this scent. Why spend so much on glossier when you can get this for the fraction of the price with better longevity?

This is the perfect fragrance for when you don't want to wear a fragrance. It is very unisex, but I'm into that. I like to wear this with jeans and a sweatshirt when I'm running errands, or taking my kids to their activities. Basically anytime when I want to smell good, but not over-the-top or "extra". I usually dislike powdery fragrances, and despite powder being the second main accord, it doesn't pull powdery at all. I really enjoy this.

surprisingly, I’m in love!! on me, it’s definitely a dupe for the og glossier you. it starts off smelling kinda like bathroom air freshener in a fancy restaurant, then leans into the musk and pepper. wayyyy less peppery than the current glossier you, it also has the softness that you *used* to have [something I dearly miss] but like all bb&w mists, it doesn’t have very good longevity and I find myself spraying a lot throughout the day

I LOVE this perfume it smells so good. I have heard people compare this scent to Glossier's You I have yet to smell this perfume but if it smells like this perfume I feel it would definitely purchase it. The only complaint that I have foe is it that it is not a long lasting perfume (Just like most if not all bbw perfumes) I would rate this perfume 8/10. If you are thinking about buying it you def should!

SO IN LOVE LOVE LOVE. I keep sniffing my wrist after my first spray and i love how easy and pleasant it smells to my own nose. It's light and airy type of musky powder smell with a subtle iris ending. This is what you call a people-pleaser scent. Something you can spray on before you get on a flight or a scent people would be wanting to inhale more of. Safe blind buy too! Get this yall!

This smalls so good fresh and clean we both love it, we over spray a little and last all day on us. I agree with other comments that a man could wear this to when i put it on the first time my husband was like wow that smells great so he tried it and now he is wearing it. Remember fragrances don't have genders wear what you like
