Imperfect Beauty

Imperfect is an amazing dupe for Perfect by Marc Jacobs. 😍 The scent is clean, elegant, and mature compared to other Bath & Bodyworks scents. This body spray gives the essence of a designer perfume without being one. It's my favorite new release from their "Everyday Luxury" collection. PROS: Imperfect Beauty is tame enough to wear around the office and the scent works well all year round. The bottle is pretty and exudes sophistication. Grab this baby during a sale to get it cheap! Also, there is a lot of layering potential here. CONS: Don't expect the scent to last long as a body mist. If you're a sucker for the typical fragrances sold at Bath & Bodyworks, this one may not be for you. Leans too mature for younger buyers.

Oh, this is something. It's got a faint sweetness much like Poppy, with a touch of woods, white floral freshness and an aquatic charm. Smells so sophisticatedly clean and put-together. Perfect for daytime during spring and summer. Totally inoffensive and just subtle but you can still smell it. Beautiful. The sillage and projection aren't something to write home about, but this is so pretty I just had to get mine. Packaging : 8/10 True to Notes : 9/10 Sillage : 7/10 Longevity : 7/10 Fragrance : 10/10

My new bbw fave!! In a word it's clean. Like the majority of their other everyday luxuries line, it smells high-end, mature, and professional, and I was addicted at first smell. It's refreshing and airy to me and it's the perfect after-shower fragrance. Biggest gripe is that it isn't that long lasting but that's kind of a given with bbw products. Awesome scent from an awesome line

LOVE IT LOVEEEE ITTT SO MUCH. its really good and smells familiar but i dont think ive had anything like it. it almost smells nostalgic. id wear it all year day and night. you should definitely check it out i feel like it matches every taste.✨

Yes the mist’s vein is similar to Marc Jacob’s Perfect. What’s strange though is the perfume smells like eau de toilette which has that pepper note. So if you like the perfume stick with the mist only.

so close to mj perfect and at such an affordable price. is b&bw discontinuing it or is it just gone for the fall/winter? please, they can't get rid of it i only bought two bottles

So I bought it, and honestly? It's nice... but that's kind of it for me. It has this really clean, soapy scent that makes it perfect for after a shower when you just want to smell fresh and simple. It's not too sweet or too floral, just that classic clean kind of vibe. The scent doesn't last very long on my skin though. It fades pretty quickly unless I spray it on my clothes, and even then, it only hangs around a little bit longer. It's definitely not one of those long lasting or standout scents, more like a light mist you use when you want to smell nice without it being overwhelming or just spray a bit before bed. Overall it's pleasant, easy to wear, and great for everyday use. But nothing special.

I wear the body lotion of this under Mugler Aura. It is light enough to blend without detracting from the perfume, and tends to soften and deepen the scent trail left behind as one wafts about, pretending to be a forest fairy or green goddess or neo-medieval cyberherbalist, indeed whatever personal fantasy Aura inspires. And rhubarb is such a crave-able note in perfume that I will take it in any form, including this watered down and sweetened version, as it really blasts the dust off us lovelies of a certain age. Now I'm curious about MJ Perfect, as mentioned by others.....

Elegant subtlety, pretty femininity and cozy maturity - best describe the woman wearing Imperfect Beauty. The rhubarb is mildly sweet more than tangy, the florals are creamy clean rather than heady and the cashmere wood is soft and smooth. Yes it is light but is discernible for 2 hours at least and even more on clothes. I can’t ask for more from a body mist. It’s a pleasure to reapply. I don’t have MJ Perfect but now I’m curious.

It’s pretty obvious that this fragrance was duping Marc Jacobs Perfect, and as a dupe I will say it’s about 90% accurate. I feel like it lacking the coziness that Perfect has with the blend of cashmere + almond milk. While I don’t hate it, this was probably my least favorite out of the new wave of everyday luxuries.

I like this just fine. I've been wearing it as a just of the shower fragrance. It's clean, light and fresh. Doesn't last a long time, but I don't mind reapplying. Perfect for spring, not at all heavy or complex - in fact is quiet the opposite.

i have the body lotion of this. it gives a light scent of a fresh/sharper designer perfume like the kind that I'd test out in an airport duty-free (i haven't smelled Marc Jacob's Perfect, but the scent reminds me of more general Marc Jacobs type fragrances). i like it for layering so far because it gives whatever i'm wearing on top of it an open, fresh type of feeling. EDIT: i started to like this a lot less, getting more of the rhubarb note but it translates to just a generic BBW fruity DNA that feels a little too conspicuous/girly for me. i think the scent changing is related to the fragrance not being mixed equally through the lotion, as opposed to the scent developing over time.

I've seen people say this is an aquatic, clean scent, but I didn't get that at all on my skin. The white floral note was a bit too dominant, and the rhubarb note smelled too green and artificial for me. It was very floral-forward on my skin with limited complexity. Reminded me of something you'd spray in the bathroom...

Well that does not go with my body chemistry nor my laundry detergent. 1st it's extremely light can barely smell it so I tried it on my clothes. Now I have 2 cats and I dog with that being said I kept smelling dog poo, im checking my shoes my dogs paws frantically searching my house for the poo. I never found the poo but found the culprit "Imperfect Beauty". I have never in 50 years have a perfume , body mist etc make my clothes smell like dog poo😔. I was so shocked disgusted & disappointed. In the bottle and on paper smells nice and very very light. I hope no one else has to experience this seriously. Well we live and learn. Everyone stay safe happy and healthy ✌🏼 CT 🇺🇲

Bought this during the Body Care sale at BBW. I loved it initially because it smells so much like MJ Perfect. A pretty solid dupe! However, it disappeared within 30 minutes of spraying. The longevity is just not there which is kinda disappointing when it smells so good and because there are so many other body mists from BBW that do last long in comparison. For example Pink Obsessed, Covered in Roses and Guilty as Fig have the potency of a quality EDT respectively. I will not be keeping this one because of its poor performance. I will be exchanging it for something else.

In the initial blast I definitely get that same rhubarb bite that Poppy had! The rhubarb fades and the underpinnings of the fragrance take over and it's this fresh feminine fragrance dancing the line between aquatic and floral. It's clean and refreshing in the summer heat. The mist doesn't last long (on me) but I like to use the body cream first which helps it last. I almost returned this when I first got it because I was thinking it didn't seem that special. I'm so glad I gave it a few tries and finally experienced how pretty and refreshing it can be.

Beautiful, fresh, aquatic floral. Smells wayyy better than the original MJ Perfect. This is done so well and doesn't have that sharpness the og has. The mist is extremely light so unfortunately I had to pass on it and got two of the mini perfumes instead. Those are strong and last like 3-4 hours on my skin. It’s my favorite from the most recent everyday luxuries line. SO refreshing!!!
