Juniper Breeze

strangely, i find this scent to last far longer on me than any other bbw body mist, which is quite an achievement considering i own like, 8 of them and only paid around 3 bucks for this during their post-holiday sale. im a zoomer fresh out of high school so i dont have the childhood nostalgia (or scarred memories) of this fragrance that other reviewers may have- the girls i knew preferred sweet scents that resembled the smell of vape smoke that permeated our bathrooms- so i picked this up without any prior exposure. when i first spray it on myself, i get a nice berry note, but upon dry down it smells exactly like the smell of freshly washed hair, simultaneously smelling like the harsh, salon quality shampoo my mom uses and the soft scent of my favorite maui conditioner (i mean this with the most positive connotation possible.) i love this fragrance.

This is a BBW Classic , from the early 90s, when the store was still in malls, or attached to The Limited . Apple baskets, farm carts, and blue and white gingham. Loved it. They need to go back to some of their classics. Especially Flowering Herbs!! **Juniper Breeze is a very clean scent. ( kinda what the Clean perfumes copy now). Its has that just out of shower scent. Very aquatic, a little green but not grassy. Similar to Calgon Morning glory . Really lovely scent . Could be used by women or men. Definitely get Juniper berries, kinda mossy with a little cedar. Good everyday perfume or mist. On my skin lasts about 4hours . In the same family as BBW Cotton Blossom or Sea Island Cotton. The official notes are :Juniper Leaves, Green Apple, Blue Jasmine, Fresh Woods, Dewy Musk

I have already reviewed Juniper Breeze and how I adored it for years in my youth until discontinued and I detailed my disappointment that I was too late for purchasing the re-release in 2023. There is an online shop called “Beyond Scents” and they sell a Juniper Breeze oil for $18. I have purchased other fragrance oils from Beyond Scents such as “Rain”, “China Musk” “Almond” and love all the oils I have purchased from them so I will be trying their Juniper Breeze. “Rain” is in the same family as Juniper Breeze-it is not the same but it is in that same soapy natural feminine category so I highly suggest. I can only attest to Beyond Scents oils and have not tried any of their other products like colognes and lotions and soaps.

My love! Oh how I love this. One of ultimate favorites of all times. In a world doused with gourmands, vanilla and chocolate; Juniper Breeze is bright, fresh, vibrant, and refreshing. It tickles the nose and feels like I’m standing in the mist of a crisp mountaintop. The smell is ingrained in my head. The first scent I ever wore. I was a little kid when my mom gave me this body spray, and it was my whole childhood. I never wanted any other smell. I always asked her to spray me with it. I crave it to this day, and I wish more perfumes smelled like this! Maybe I’m unlucky and haven't looked hard enough, but Juniper Breeze is a 10/10. I will go to war for it. Dramatic? Absolutely. But hey, nostalgia is a powerful thing.

Juniper Breeze was a refreshing staple in my youth during the 90s and early 2000s. In 1998, I was 14 and A hotel I stayed in provided Juniper breeze lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body washes and I loved it and went to Broadway in New York smelling of BBW juniper Breeze. It is soapy fresh and clean like a feminine frosted Christmas tree. The best form of Juniper Breeze is the lotion and the hair conditioner. The last time I purchased the hair conditioner was in 2010 and then it was discontinued. I was stocked on the lotions and ran out of the lotion in 2020. In 2023, BBW released Juniper Breeze but I was too late and they sold out.

This scent takes me back to the nineties every time I smell it. My first experience with Juniper Breeze was on an overnight college visit during my junior year of high school. My mentor wore it and her entire dorm room smelled like it. This scent is baby doll belly tops, deep side parted low ponytails and Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt in a bottle for me. I rarely wear it anymore, but I was so excited to see it come back. I mainly use it as a linen spray now. It smells like a crisp and rainy fall day to me, but I admit that could be the memory attached to it.

This is a classic. I'm surprised it wasn't in the database until last year. I agree that it's a unique smell for Bath and Body Works, but only because they can't resist making everything a fruity floral gourmand scent. Overall, it's not a unique aroma. It's very much the laundry detergent smell described by other users below. I remember smelling this when I was younger and hating it, but I've since gotten tired of the cloyingly sweet smells or my sense of smell/preferences have changed with age. Now, I love it. I just wish it lasted longer.

I remember having some of the hand & body lotion of Juniper Breeze in the late 90s or early 2000s. It was a very pleasant smell, unlike most fruity/florals of the time. It's very fresh, pinelike, fruity in a casual and earthy way, and invigorating and comforting at the same time. I don't know much about what juniper berries smell like, but it's kind of a hyper-realization of that concept. I'm debating whether or not to seek out a bottle, or maybe BBW will bring this back for a time? I would love to see it in EDT form.

Absolutely agree with Jrkd70! Flowering herbs is the best classic bath body work s scent. I still love Juniper breeze! One of my favorites also. Along with Daffodil fields and Seaspray. Love their meadow and English garden scents.. Bath and body works used to be so great. Now too much fruit and vanilla in every thing. It's like they're trying to use up old batches of vanilla lol. Sometimes they're new scents turn my stomach make me gag.

One of my favorites from BBW although I don't consider it a perfume. Can't believe my all-time favorite Flowering Herbs isn't even in the database. I still love that one but refuse to pay what the thieves on eBay are currently charging, absolutely ridiculous! If anyone knows of any perfumes (or other products) that smell similar to Flowering Herbs please let me know.

This smell is very unique and unlike anything else at B&BW. Strong juniper berry scent. Smells like a touch of pine, clean fresh cotton, and something fruity I cannot identify. Blueberry? I love this scent because it is so different but still versatile and feminine. It makes me envision a beautiful windy forest right after a cold rain. B&BW classic.

I have been wearing this fragrance on and off ever since it came out over 20 years ago. It’s a great warm weather scent that is very refreshing. I stayed at the historical Vinoy Renaissance Hotel in St. Pete Florida and the full line of Juniper Breeze were the toiletries provided in the rooms so, it brings back great memories whenever I wear it.

I absolutely adore Juniper Breeze and always have! I don't know why it's getting so much hate here. It's unusual, doesn't smell like lots of other stuff. It's fresh without being citrusy, perfectly unisex, office friendly and otherwise versatile and appropriate for a variety of occasions. I'm so glad I have a bottle of the mist.

Got this in today from Amazon! As soon as I smelled it I was instantly transported to a simpler time! It smells EXACTLY like I remember! So fresh and distinctive, I can't think of anything that smells like it. Much stronger than I remember, 2 sprays and going strong at six hours.

Fresh Laundry Detergent as someone said below me, super fresh not getting any fruitiness, a bit Unisex, I can see why this is a classic of bath and body works and why it was used so much in the 90s and 2000s, it's a staple

Juniper Breeze is an interesting fragrance, I can't really think of anything that smells remotely like it that I've personally tried. The only thing I can compare it to is the original Clean fragrance (from the brand Clean) in the way that they both smell like laundry detergent but they are not the same from what I remember, just similar for that reason only. It's a unique freshie without any citrus notes, it mainly has the scent of sharp, slightly sweet juniper and wood. It lasts fairly well for a body mist, it doesn't disappear after a few minutes. Juniper Breeze is easily a unisex, casual type of fragrance to wear with jeans and a t-shirt in warm weather however it is the type of thing to be polarizing just because of how much it smells like straight up laundry detergent. It might also be hard to like if you lived through its peak popularity and didn't particularly care for it back then. I think it would be a great idea if B&BW were to create a more complex version of this juniper scent profile to include in their aromatherapy range. (Apparently they did, I just missed it) This review is for the 2023 version sold during the summer SAS.

My husband actually wears this one, and I'm maybe an anomaly in that I don't have any previous ties to this. Oddly, I remember everything from Sweet Pea to Warm Vanilla Sugar from the O.G B&BW days, but this one slipped by. No auntie wore it, no friend or even an acquaintance. I ordered this a few years ago, my husband enjoyed it, so I chucked it in his stuff and now I associate it with him. It's a fresh, unisex (I believe anyone can wear whatever, but you guys get my meaning) clean, woody scent. It feels sudsy in the nose (as opposed to clean laundry), like actual soap. It's kind of "wet" in texture, not dried and aired out (I'd describe Cotton Blossom that way). It's sweet from the berries, and has a gin quality about it. If gin could retain it's flavor without being alcoholic, it might smell similar to this. This has a juniper drink smell, but without the tang of alcohol. All B&BW fragrances have a type of underlying sweetness (even the men's) to them, and this is no exception. It's not dry or bitter. It wakes you up and could make for a great morning workout fragrance, or gym scent 🌄

I originally purchased this for my two sons when they were young. My youngest son ended up liking this scent this fragrance the most. He couldn't get enough of it. When I gave it to him it made him so happy. He loved the lotion and applied it after his shower as well as it's the morning and evening. It's such a fresh, clean, and airy fragrance unlike other fresh type scents. It's clean and comforting. A previous review @aycaswtnr stated that it was nostalgic reminding them of childhood and the fresh air. I have to agree, it's fresh air in the early morning. Pleasant fragrance for warm weather. Very unisex not too masculine or feminine. 6/10 Sillage 5/10 Longevity 5/10

The new packaging for the 2023 release is beautiful. If you like the smell of straight up expensive gin, you will like this light Chypre yet Acquatic type scent. Sold out online, check your nearby or call a BBW store that might not get as much foot traffic and you might still find some left over from their big semi annual sale. 1990’s retro classic that’s perfect for after the gym, extremely hot days or any time you want to smell sour aquatic fresh instead of the contestant modern barrage of sweet, sweet and more sweet. This, White Citrus and White Tea & Ginger from BBW are literally the definition of refreshing.

I received a bottle of Juniper Breeze years ago when it was first released. I did not like it. It sat in my cupboard for awhile and then the holidays came. I spritzed it in the bathroom and it felt so...right! I have a couple of artificial Christmas trees that I put up in my home and I missed that real tree smell so I would spray the trees with Juniper Breeze and it always gave them that realistic touch! I must say I never liked this fragrance on my skin but it's a must for the holidays to add to the festive vibe! I have to buy a new bottle as I used the old one up last Christmas season.

This scent is so comforting. It's not perfumy like other scents, not like something you wear to be noticed. It feels like a the incedental/inevitable scent you acquire from a clean, comfortable home. A bit soapy, but the good kind, one like your mother keeps at home to make the entire house and its inhabitants smell good. No wonder it brings nostalgia. I'm addicted. I'm always attracted to woody, natural clean scents. I've always had my eyes on this even though I'm not sure what it smells like but I was not wrong and without a single bit of regret. It's not "fragrance" its a "scent."

Juniper Breeze is a breath of fresh air on a sweltering summer day. It’s an aromatic green scent with hints of crisp green apples and tangy sweet pineapple. The florals prevent it from getting too sharp, the white musk adds to the clean feeling and the woods add some depth. Unfortunately it doesn’t last much but respraying is really refreshing so I don’t mind. I prefer this type of scent over coconut for the beach 🏖️ especially in July and August. Temperatures around here hover around 40 Celsius (100 F) at this time of year. Coconut can be too much but not this one.

I’m wearing the lotion and while hugging my husband he literally said “What is that scent ? I just want to gobble you up!” So there you go. It’s a very nice scent. I feel like wearing a bit of the lotion and rubbing it in makes it a lot softer than if you were to heavily spray this. I say this because when I Read the reviews were people were saying that this smells like cleaning products I was not even sure how that could be possible that you could smell that from this but then I’m thinking they’re probably wearing the spray and I wear the lotion so just a thought.

Got a 2023 rerelease version from someone getting rid of a whole bunch of fragrance mists. All told, definitely not bad - inoffensive is the first word that comes to mind. Clean, herby, a little soapy, but still having a bit of balancing sweetness. I definitely get the juniper, and something like laundry. I think it would be nicer in the summer.

My mom wore this for many years when I was a child so I will always associate this smell with her. It's fresh, citrus, woodsy, and musky. It's quite aromatic, fresh and breezy. Smells like clean laundry that was left to dry in the sun outdoors. If you're looking for something with a similar vibe, I would recommend Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea.

the scent reminded me of my childhood, how clean and fresh the air would smell in the early morning back then. it's beautiful to smell it for nostalgia but i wouldn't wear it like a regular perfume. it's like a memory more than a scent. smells airy, detergent kind of clean and freezingly fresh.

I ordered this online in a Blind buy, it arriaved today an at first I have to say I Didn't like it. It was a Clean smell, and like one or two other reviews here, smelled a lot like really strong Laundry soap in a Wet clothes before the dryer kind of smell. It's a good smell but was a little too strong for my tastes. Then I sprayed it on my arm to see what it did with my Chemistry. (I normally will spray into the cap). As it started to dry on my arm I got a kind of Sweet Candy after-smell, which I assume is the dry down because as the cap began to dry out It started to have that too. What amazed me is the longer I sat with it on my arm the sweeter and less soapy it got, eventually smelling more like a powdery candy similar to smarties. This could be my chemistry with it, as the cap now dry still smells like laundry soup with a candy after-smell, but It's grown on me in this short time. It seems to remain pretty strong even powdery sweet. It's not a love, but I certainly like it.

Airy, Sweet and Tart, Musky, Woodsy, Floral, Synthetic This was the signature scent of my tweenage years and my go to body spray from about the age of 10-13. I recently bought a bottle of it just for nostalgia's sake and to see if it still smelled like I remembered. It is basically as I remembered except as my tastes have changed this smells quite astringent and synthetic to my adult nose and smells a bit more sweet and less "piney" to me now than I previously remembered. When the initial alcohol scent burns off and and I let the fragrance settle a bit, I don't mind it and I see why I liked it as a tween. It has a bit of an air freshener or laundry detergent quality to it, but I think all Bath and Body Works scents do. Not something I want wear anymore but something I would not mind in a linen spray. My 9 year old daughter smelled this and loved it so I am going to give this to her and keep the past in the past.

I've owned a bottle of this for about a year now but I only ever use it to make sure I still hate it. I don't usually get headaches from fragrances but this one does it for me in minutes. It smells like some kind of cleaning product, not even laundry detergent or anything fresh, more like a urinal cake or something you'd clean a bathroom with. There's something sharp to it that irks me in a similar way to their Butterfly scent, which a lot of people also seem to love. I just cannot understand the hype. I tried this year's formulation at the store just to make sure mine wasn't from a defective batch, but alas that one also stank. I wish I could experience this fragrance in the same way as everyone who loves it, but until then I shall use it as bathroom air freshener.

To be honest, Juniper Breeze is one of the worst perfumes I've ever had. It's overpoweringly artificial and strong. If you want to smell like a laundromat, then this fragrance is for you. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I know it's a classic, but I just can't stand it!

This is one of my favorite scents in what I call the "clean" family, but I don't necessarily mean 'cleaning products' as some detractors have stated. Perhaps it does have a 'soap' smell, but in a positive way. Smells like soap that could be nicer, not a cheap bar, but not overwhelmingly powdery in the way that I find Moonlight Path or Japanese Cherry Blossom to be. I definitely get the grassy/fresh woods note, and the dewiness as well. This smells like dewdrops in the woods being dried by cool cotton that has been washed with nice, clean soap. Or even just stepping out of a relaxing shower or bath and into a pristine white terrycloth robe. I can see why one reviewer used 'aquatic' in their review; that comes through in this one. Some of the B&BW products do have a scent reminiscent of 'cleaning agents', such as Love & Sunshine which is very lemon-y, and even Happy Vibes. I also love both of those scents (and am a big B&BW fan in general), which are much more citrus-based. Those would smell more like lemony Pine-Sol, but in body mist form. I agree with the reviewer who said this is similar to Cotton Blossom. I also find it just a bit like Cucumber Melon, but it is much closer to the former than the latter. CB could be its 'sister scent' in my opinion. I think this would be an ideal shower scent. I don't have the shower gel yet but would like to purchase sometime, as when you layer the lotion and mist, you tend to get that overall clean feeling, so I'd imagine this scent is practically designed for the shower.

Like the reviewer below mentions, my mom had this when I was growing up, however she didn't wear it too often. I ended up using it more than she did and was in love with it. The greener fragrances from BBW were always my favorite (Green Clover & Aloe, I'd loveeeee to have you again! and Cool Citrus Basil!). It seems the company leans more towards the sweeter fruity scents, which is OK as many people want that, but I miss the wider variety and more nature-inspired scents. This is fresh, clean, and aquatic. I always envisioned a dewy forest at dusk when winter is creeping into spring when I smelled this, and it brings me back to those visions today. Glad they offer some retired fragrances online. Just wish they had the body wash as this is THE perfect shower gel fragrance. This is nostalgic to me, but it also fits my tastes today.

Just received in the mail from my large Bath and Body Works website order. I'm so happy they have a 'retired fragrances' section. This was a blind buy, and I'm in love! It's so clean, green, blue, fresh...just perfection! I've been looking for a fragrance like this for so many years. This is exactly what I wanted. It smells like fresh clean air, clean laundry, some berries, some trees, a forest. I love it so much, I went back on their website immediately and ordered the matching body cream. Looking forward to receiving that, to go along with this fragrance. A+/5 STARS. P.S. it's also strong enough, and long-lasting. YAY!

Still a nice one after all these years. I first bought this as a teenager. Still a very unique jasmine,woods,and fruity mix. I will say that the jasmine was way stronger in the 90's than it is now. I do miss that. The only form of this fragrance I didn't like was the shower gel. The mist and body cream are pretty decent. If you love refreshing and cozy scents,this would be a good choice.I honestly like a stronger floral.Hoping BBW brings back more classic scents. The classics are always fantastic,and rarely disappoint.

I first smelled this over 20 years ago when visiting a friend of mine at her home. Her daughters just came back from Bath and Body and had applied this. It, too me, just knocked me out in the best way possible. I've always had some on hand. Recently I purchased a older version of the lotion from Ebay. I think it's greener than today's version. I love today's version much more. Hard to describe but I never want to be without this. Big Love

Blind bought this and I like it. I don't smell any fruit of flowers, it's kind of a hard scent to describe. It smells clean and fresh, but also smells exactly like a cleaning spray i use here in the uk. I also have sea island cotton from bath and body works and I don't really find them that similar, except they both smell clean.

This is a "refreshing" scent. If you have been working like a dog in the heat for hours, this clean aromatic fragrance will restore you. I use the gel, lotion and body spray. I agree this is not typical of BBW. Some scents are soothing and some perk you up. This is a rare perky one from BBW.

Wow! So much memories with this scent. I got the first whiff when I was in 5th or 6th grade. It was so good that now that I am at my 30s, i still buy it. It is clean, green, fruity and bright.

To me, the version now is juniper leaves and it’s fresher and sharper, while the 90s version is actually juniper breeze. The 90s version was airy and watery and smelled like juniper berries.

Nothing else smells like this imo. It's like Juniper and citrus on top of Sweet Pea's musky base.

A nice scent, but for some reason I can’t divorce it from memories of middle school locker room.
