Plumeria

The notes are : pink plumeria, peach nectar, red apple, night blooming Jasmine and gardenia petals. First of all stunning packaging. It looks so chic and feminine in your vanity. Coming to the actual scent, it's a floral fruity fragrance. This is a bright, quite an uplifting fragrance. It's appropriate for spring, summer and monsoon seasons. The mist starts off with a spicy power pack punch of 3 florals. Almost like the flowers will punch you in the nose. Don't get swayed by the name though, the pink plumeria note isn't that natural, but it still smells somewhat citrusy and aromatic just how a plumeria flower should be, there is a sharp aromatic feel to it and i guess it's coming from the night blooming jasmine, i have never smelled gardenia in my life but if gardenia as a flower smells spicy and loud then it's definitely that gardenia petals that is enhancing the floral notes in this fragrance. The florals are very overwhelming in the beginning even for me who is a floral fan. so those who can't stand the smell of flowers should be a little cautious of it. Then along with the florals you can simultaneously smell the freshness of the red apple. After some time the florals start to mellow down a bit and it's a beautiful smell of fresh apple mingling with the florals. You do get the peach nectar in there as well as it sweetens it up & binds the fragrance altogether. I hate peaches in my fragrance so i was really worried that the peach nectar note might ruin this fragrance for me but i am glad that the peach nectar note here isn't extremely screechy and on the contrary amplifies the fresh sweetness element in here. Bnb does nectar notes really well so i'm glad i wasn't let down. After about an hour or so the smell gives a fruity bubble gum vibe on my skin which again is not my kind of thing but somehow i'm not mad at it cause it smells fresh, airy and juicy 😅 This is the only fragrance where i can smell each notes individually true to it's listing. It's a very flirty, young, playful and outdoorsy kind of scent. Best suitable in the day time for college or uni going girls when you wanna just have a quick spritz to freshen you up & make yourself smell clean. It can also be used as a great after shower or pillow mist as well. Now coming to the projection and longevity, it projects mighty well and the scent sticks around on my skin for minimum 5/6 hours. It stays as a lingering scent after that.

Oooh! I'm so glad Plumeria is finally in the database...although I've gone through a few bottles of lotion and by this time I'm almost done with it. Meh, better extraordinarily late than never...I suppose 🤣👍 But it was released much, much earlier than 2019! Disregard the bio, I believe this is late 90s-early 2000s. Why lotions?! Glad you asked. The lotion is something particularly special when it comes to Plumeria. I've noticed that with B&BW body lotions there's occasionally something a little ✨️special✨️ that isn't contained in the fragrance mists. It's almost impossible to describe, but there's a small edge and creaminess to the frangipani and jasmine (and yes, it's actually jasmine and not the nondescript white floral accord that often occurs) that is missing with the spray. It layers into the skin and creates a stunning, clean, slightly sensual (but not so much that I feel that this ever verges on inappropriate for the general public) fragrance that only gets BETTER in the heat. It's made for sultry, heavy, languid days in June. When summer is young and you're optimistic for all that it holds in store for you. I agree with Autumn_Moon about the longevity. Good Lord, it's quite excellent! I know sometimes B&BW is like a bargain bin that requires digging to uncover gems, but this is an example as to how it can be worth it. This doesn't smell at all like a $5 bottle of lotion, and I've received multiple emphatic compliments on it. It's lovely, lovely. 🌸☀️

This is one of my all time classic favorite scents by B&BW. I used to steal this from my mom all of the time. The notes are not correct on here, however. The correct notes are: pink plumeria, peach nectar, red apple, night-blooming jasmine, and gardenia petals. At least that's what this bottle says. I picked this up from an SAS a couple years ago I think it was and I honestly think it smells more fruity than before and a little weaker, but still very lovely. Plumeria smells like the color pink. The older version was sensual and captivating. It made me feel like a grown up. This reformulation just doesn't hit the same and the intense apple note is throwing me off. The floral fades into oblivion and that's all you can smell. It does have decent staying power but...meh. The original had something sweeter like tuberose and banana flower. It smelled like a pretty lady in a pretty pink dress walking on the beach with her hair down in salty curls. If anyone wants something that smells like the old version, InStyle Fragrances Exotic Plumeria is identical and only 10 dollars.

First impression: freshly shampooed hair that has been decorated with fresh flowers. It took me a while to fully love it to its potential because at first all I could smell was actual, fresh off the garden, raw white florals. I layered it with the body wash of the same variant, and I felt each of the notes elevating to their best versions. The shower gel legit smells like a bouquet of jasmine and gardenias that has “started to wilt” while in the vase. This particular “wilting” note makes me feel like I’m wearing real flowers and not artificial perfume. The immediate “crunch” of red apples and peach makes the composition perfect for all age groups and occasions. The dry down has a comforting sweet powdery quality to it, which sits on my skin beautifully. Longevity is moderate, it stays longer (almost 5-6 hours) on clothes than it does on the skin. The projection and sillage is quite strong for the first 40-50 minutes esp in indoor office spaces, during which I got asked twice if it was my “shampoo” that smelled this good.

This used to be one of my favorites from BBW. Thanks to @AutumnMoon's input about the OG formula, I purchased a 20 year old bottle just to see if there was any semblance of what I remembered. This is the epitome of smelling "fresh out of the shower" - the ultimate fruity-floral-fresh-shampoo scent, that no other shampoo or fragrance captures in the way this does. The bulk of it is frangipani: "creamy", "candy-like" and slightly "yellow", mixed with tiare. The base is refreshingly cool, watery, and ozonic. Everything is blended so well that nothing stands out. A creamy-but-fruity frangipani smoothie doesn't exist IRL - but it feels like I'm drinking one when I wear this! I have yet to run across another perfume or fragrance that smells like this. It will always be one of my most favorites. And to my younger self: you had great taste - I'm amazed this really is as good as I remembered it being!

One of my all time favorites. I have the older version and the newer version. In the older version there is a melon note that gives it a juicy, watery scent. The newer one is lacking that, but still fantastic. I have worn this since high school. It does not smell floral to me. It smells so sweet and almost candylike on my skin, but in the cleanest, freshest way possible. It lasts for a really long time given that it's just a body mist and not a perfume. It lasts longer than some of my more expensive, more concentrated perfumes. This smells so fresh that anything I smell afterwards smells bad in comparison. I have a few bottles of this stashed away because of the business model, but I am getting low. I hope this fragrance becomes available again soon (but you just know it will be weaker when it comes back around and that is tragic)

Like other reviewers have said, this stuff is very strong for a body mist. I'd steer clear if you dislike florals at all (especially magnolia and jasmine) because it becomes a very powdery, creamy floral smell after the fruity top note dries down. I personally love florals so it doesn't surprise me that I'm all about this as well. Out of all of the throwback scents I've tried I think this and cucumber melon would've been my go-to's if I was a teenager in the 90s. I also agree that the mist and lotion smell quite different; the mist has more of those fruity notes when first sprayed while the lotion is mostly just a powdery white floral. It reminds me of a lotus hand cream I stole from my mom in middle school lmao

I got the original version as a birthday present when I was in elementary school, and at the time I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever smelled, like what a princess would wear, and I figured I'd wear it at my wedding one day. Naturally, I kept the bottle to save it for that occasion (actually I stashed it and forgot about it), and upon rediscovery it had become sort of sour and bizarre. Didn't get the 2019 reissue, but rating this as a tribute to the first 'perfume' I ever had. BTW, pink, spring-y fragrances that give me that sort of feeling now: Parfumes de Marly Delina (for the floral aspect), Hanae by Hanae Mori (for the fruity aspect).

So glad they ve added one of my favorites! So many compliments. Plumeria floral, spicy dry down. Very long lasting. Bath and body works should release all the classic s like this one on regular basis!

Heady banana bubblegum floral. Very powerful and could easily be sickening if over sprayed. I love it so much.

It does smell like bubble gum and plumeria. I actually love it. It's young, energetic, and loud.

My review is for the pre-2019 version of Plumeria (I own the vintage version from the late 1990s/early-to-mid 2000s)... This stuff lasts *forever.* For a body spray/lotion/shower gel combo, it is impressive and indomitable. The more you layer, the stronger it gets. (Not that you *need* to layer, because honestly, either the lotion or the body spray is quite enough, but you can, if you wish. I love strong scents, so I'm not going to judge if you apply multiple layers!) And it keeps going. All. Day. Long. Don't even *think* about putting on another fragrance before taking a shower, because it isn't going to happen. B&BW Plumeria will *own* it, pounce on it, pin it to the mat, and declare itself the winner. Once you choose to smell like Plumeria, that's what you are going to smell like for the rest of the day. This one requires a certain level of commitment. If you're looking for 1990s, deeply floral/tropical vibes, the vintage products are unparalleled in their ability to deliver. And I'm talking absolutely *wicked* sillage and longevity. From a body spray. For real. (You wouldn't think so, since it's a relatively inexpensive scent, but yeah. This stuff dominates the airspace.) It's a pretty straightforward fragrance... plumeria/frangipani... but it does a good job. You will be noticed. This isn't a bad thing, though... I have always loved this fragrance. It reminds me of the decade it defined, and the times I spent with people during that decade.

When I tested this at B&BW, I immediately fell in love with it. It’s so floral, and is a perfect replacement for the discontinued La Fleur. It was less than $5! After a couple of days with it, I have very mixed feelings. I still really love the floral scent, but it’s not as strong as I’d like. My bottle of Diamonds and Sapphires is so much stronger than this, and this stuff is more expensive (when not on sale)! The main issue I have with it is it has Apple notes which aren’t noted on the list on here but is clearly disclosed on the back of the bottle. It’s such an artificial, red delicious smell that reminds me of Winter Candy Apple but completely overpowers the delicate floral scent that I bought this for. It’s a very delicate balance with this, I can spray the crap out of it onto myself and only smell florals, and spray once more and suddenly I ONLY like apples and it’s so disappointing. Plus, the longevity is super bad but it’s a body spray, can’t expect much more out of it.

This is such a fresh, clean floral with tons of nostalgia thrown in. It’s perfect for the gym, office, day at the beach...anyplace where you want to smell fresh, but not super cloying.

For the reformulated mist that returns every few years in the SAS: I wish I could smell plumerias. On my skin this opens with a ripe red delicious apple note followed by a sweet juicy almost syrupy peach note (not my favorite). It remains as such for most of its stay on my skin. I wish the powdery creamy florals showed up but alas! No plumeria or jasmine for me 😢

This is the worst reformulation BBW has ever made. This is absolutely nothing like my beloved Plumeria of the early 90's. My daughter ordered this for us and I was so hopeful it smelled like it used to but it just doesn't. This smells so powdery. The old one used to smell so floral and tropical. Just not at all what it used to be.

this is so strong for a bbw mist. i like the dry down of cool-toned fragrant white florals and a bit of that fruitiness from apple and peach. HOWEVER something about the opening is so harsh and sour to me. it's like fermented, which combined with the alcohol content of these mists makes it smell like beer?? i might have to see if i like the dry down enough to stand that fermented opening, if not i'll have to return :(

It smells like fabric softener. Super strong powdery scent. The scent is long lasting, but this is how I remember my nanny smelling, who was an elderly lady. I remember her big soft sweater and it smelled like this. This thing smells dated. Not a bad scent, but definitely not my favourite. It was a blind buy based on good reviews, but to me it's just a no-go. Might toss.

For me, gardenia never fails to ruin every fragrance the note is used in. There are hints of a good scent in Plumeria but all my nose can pick up on is the blegh scent of gardenias. Good news though! If you're the type that likes an overpowering, clean white floral, Plumeria PROJECTS and has an above average longevity for a BBW body mist.
