Pumpkin Swirl Cake

Gourmands can be very hit or miss I feel... They last a million years because their nuclear industrial strength notes, they can feel very smothering (they definitely don't make good summer fragrances I feel), and too much of it can make one feel ill from all that sweetness... But I really like Pumpkin Swirl Cake :] I think it avoids the biggest issues that gourmands might have as long as you don't use too much of it :] It's sweet but not overbearingly so, and it doesn't feel smothering!! And again, as long as you don't use too much of it, the length they last is a big positive :] It smells a lot like vanilla (unsurprising for a gourmand), but with a significant bit of spicy cinnamony pumpkiny ness to it :] It's a very warm scent too, I think it matches fall and winter time best. I think the best way to describe it is that it smells like a baked dessert fresh out of the oven!! If you put too much on it'll become sickeningly sweet, but as long as you don't overdo it you get a cozy warm scent to accompany you all day :] I have the lotion specifically, but I assume this all applies to the perfume too!!

this is definitely not a classy scent by any means but it's perfect for fall without being so pumpkin-heavy that you can't wear it in winter, and without being so spice-heavy that you end up smelling like a candle. the opening is definitely a bit cloying to me similarly to pumpkin pecan waffles, but this is much more wearable to me. the pumpkin/spice notes are definitely noticeable when your nose is close to your skin, but the sillage is more of just a caramelized, warm, cakey, creamy scent with just a hint of pumpkin which i'm grateful for since the pumpkin aspect of this is probably my least favorite part of the fragrance. personally, this is loud on me and projects quite a bit and lasts well, especially on clothes. it's no beast like pumpkin pecan waffles, but i honestly prefer that about this one.

This is Amazing , I hardly smell any pumpkin spice tho only in the beginning my nose is stunged with that pumpkin spice but at the dry down I get that sweet ooey caramel toffee smell I love it 😍, my only problem it does have this cakey smell that I realize bath and body works has put in other famous gourmand scents that I don’t really like only because I don’t want my scents to smell repetitive but that smell only last a couple of minutes , but when I smell it it reminded me of Happy Birthday without the caramel and pumpkin and also Joy sugared snickerdoodle . Overall this scent is really nice reminds me of a sweet milky homemade caramel

I love this scent. I’m so happy BBW finally did a pumpkin spray right. Even though it’s called pumpkin swirl cake, you definitely get more caramel and buttery notes and I love it. Smelling it makes me want to go to a cafe shop and eat and drink seasonal beverages and cakes. Literally want to take a bite out of myself. As a fall loving girly, this really makes me feel like it’s a crisp 55 degrees outside and I have a delicious caramel cake right in front of me. Highly recommend if you love gourmands.

pumpkin spice, caramel snickerdoodle, and vanilla. lasts very long on me, i sprayed it on my wrist this morning at 12pm and i can still smell it now at 12am. if you like pumpkin pecan waffle or vanilla bean noel, youll like this. the dry down is very similar to vanilla bean noel, with the spice notes almost gone. towards the start its more like a subtle version of pumpkin pecan waffles. pairs well with vanilla scents if you cant get the full bodycare set. definitely a warm scent

this was gifted to me but I looveeve this as a base/quick body spray. Smells alot more like caramel/toffee than pumpkin, to me. I'm sure I'm going to be using this year round(or might run out within a couple months) For a previous commentor: this reminds me alot of "Caramel Skin"-Phlur and also "sticky toffee pudding"-Demeter

I definitely agree it smells more like caramel than pumpkin, but that's exactly what I expected from the name. It smells like a caramel cake with some pumpkin cinnamon spices. It smells like what I imagine a comfy bakery that started getting ready for the fall season smells like.

It is basically a gourmand pumpkin pie scent, minus the pumpkin itself. It's a spiced caramel scent but it can be too much, luckily it calms down a little after a while. The performance is just like a regular perfume, you wouldn't expect that from a body spray.

I smelled this when a colleague sprayed it on herself, and it was LOVELY. I immediately fell in love with the coziness, it smelled just like autumn and I don't think it was too strong. Not even the pumpkin note, smells like bread, it's just wonderful.

The opening is quite spicy (I'm not sure if it's the pumpkin). However, once the vanilla kicks in, everything is wonderfully sweet, warm, and fluffy. The only thing that lingers on my skin is the caramel scent.

caramel with spice!! i love this fragrance!! its sooo good and gooey with the caramel and then a spiced cake or treat comes in after a few minutes!! truely delicous!!! 😍

I layer this with a coffee-scented body lotion for pumpkin spice latte vibes. So yummy, I feel like an autumnal treat!

Does anybody know of a perfume that smells like this?

I have exactly one, non-returnable, bottle of this and I also gave it a decent rating, but not because I love the scent of pumpkin. Oh no...nope, not ya girl...I would NEVER spray this scent on myself 😳 I just like to trick people who do like the scent of pumpkin...you know, to brighten up the season 😂 It makes a great dog bed or bathroom spray in the colder months. Sometimes, I’ll even spray it outside to make people think I’ve cooked something pumpkin related...aaaaaand that my friends is why I can’t return it because with all my shenanigans I didn’t realize BBW requires the bottle to be at least half full for a return. Do with this what you will....toodles!

When it comes to gourmand fragrances, I always go for the lotion over body mist - it just lasts longer and feels more edible. This scent is absolutely divine - warm, sweet, and incredibly comforting. I loved it so much last winter that I actually saved half the bottle just so I could have it ready for fall again. This fragrance makes me want to curl up in my coziest clothes and binge-watch shows. I'm already planning my autumn nights wrapped in a blanket with this scent, probably watching the final season of Stranger Things. It's the perfect companion for those chilly evenings when you just want to feel wrapped in something delicious and warm.

Good sent! I discovered this when I was looking for a pumpkin pecan waffle replica. I *do* like this sent, however, if you're looking for the nutty, cinnamon pumpkin, this is not the perfume for you. This reminds me and my family of a sugar cookie, and I could smell it whenever I turned my head. It Is very sweet, especially as someone who isn't a huge fan of vanilla perfumes (or at the very least I'm not a fan of any of the B&BW ones), but very wearable! Overall, one worth smelling, at the very least in stores

An absolute win for the gourmand girlies. I wasn’t sure if I’d like this because although I love sweet scents, Happy Birthday is too much for me, and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin smells like a candle on me. That said, I don’t really get any cake or any pumpkin from this. Just a nice sweet toffee/caramel that is perfect for cold weather, and I’m sure this will layer nicely with just about any vanilla in my fall rotation. Delicious.

If you're looking for a mist perfect for autumn, here it is! Super sweet and cosy :-) It smells like toffee at first and then with time it turns into burnt sugar smell. It might not be for everyone I believe. It's definitely only for die-hard gourmand fragrances lovers. Performance is not bad at all for a mist. Especially the longevity. I smell it slightly even after a good few hours.
