Sensual Amber

Win, Win, Win! I absolutely love this fragrance. I believe that I may've had this fragrance years ago, upon its release--not totally sure. I recently purchased this at the beginning of the SAS. I've worn it twice already! To my nose, this is an amber done right. It is so sensual, womanly, and sexy--it totally upgrades most fragrances that you would layer with it; yet, it stands well--totally alone. It is a very well rounded amber that is perfectly blended, more so than some of the other ambers that it is being compared to, like B&BW Midnight Amber Glow and Michael Kors Sexy Amber. Today, I have Sensual Amber paired with Katy Perry's Killer Queen. What a wonderful combination! The cashmeran in Killer Queen complements the amber in Sensual Amber. What you're left with is a sexy masterpiece, with moderate silage and longevity. Alone--Sensual Amber does not last over 30 minutes, so don't be afraid to reapply. Silage on this one is moderate. To my nose, this is a must have in every collection, and a totally safe blind buy to upgrade the most boring of fragrances. I purchased the fragrance mist and body lotion--I wish I had purchased the shower gel and a backup mist.

Another duplicate entry here. I'm happy to report that I don't actually find Sensual Amber to have been reformulated necessarily, although it's quite a skin scent most of the time (I've already reviewed the older entry in more detail). The fragrance mist is pretty thin, and I think I might pick up some lotions for layering purposes, I recommend everyone do so. Despite this being a lovely fragrance and a true crowd-pleaser if there ever was one, this doesn't garner compliments (not that that's a reason to wear things) because I don't think it projects much. To summarize though; this is a delicious, soft, cozy neo-amber that smells like an improved Flowerbomb. It's one of B&BW's best IMHO. Really, get this! 🥰🧡

absolutely in love with this scent. i have the 2012 mist (yes, i've had it for 10 years--i stopped wearing fragrances for a long time--and yes, it still smells incredible) and i just never get over how good this smells. the notes are very well-blended and most of them aren't super distinct, they just make the amber extra delicious. the bergamot is very prevalent in the start but tapers off. that said, it still lingers for the majority of the time u wear this scent, so if u don't like bergamot, u probably won't love this. then it dries down to this truly sensual, sweet yet classy amber that's just cozy and comforting. longevity is great and sillage is pretty average, but that's my preference anyway :)

Sensual Amber is warm, sweet, cozy and snuggly. It has some depth without being dark, just golden and truly sensual. It has a delicious, creamy vanilla/ amber combo that is so decadent almost gourmand. The performance is moderate. The longevity is about four hours for the mist and six for the EDT (spraying with a heavy hand), but it stays mostly a skin scent. It is great for layering. It rounds and smoothes out any rough edges in the perfume you layer it with. I don’t get much resemblance to Flower Bomb as the patchouly here is very soft- if sensible at all, also there is no tea or osmanthus top notes. However on its own Sensual Amber is a gorgeous scent.

This is a warm, cozy, orange blossom creamy with a hint of incense scent and vanilla. I do not know why BBW discontinued it. It is not too sweet, just enough. I really love the whisper of incense I get at the end. I wish they made this in an EDP. It is not too sweet and can be worn all year. For reference, I do not like gourmand scents like Pink Sugar or Lolita Lempicka. They are too sweet for me. Sensual Amber has just the right amount of vanilla and orange blossom mix. It is perfect.

I would describe this as a cozy and warm orange scent. I personally really enjoy it. This promotes too much wakefulness for me to ever wear this one before bed though LOL edit to add more description: this is more of a creamy orange scent than anything. If you like lolitaland- this is very similar while a bit less sweet while still sweet smelling. Sorry for redundancy

probably my fav bb&w scent ever, upon first spray I get the orange and white florals with a sweet amber-y powder smell. As this sits on my skin, it turns syrupy and almost boozey, like an orange liquor. Love it, I can really smell all the notes and feel it is definitely mature. The orange and floral make it almost fresh at first but it dries down to a sweet amber.

This is hands down my most complimented perfume. I love to layer this with Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb. They smell similar, but Sensual Amber is more musk to me with a hint of vanilla. This is a heavy scent that’s so pretty in cold weather. It’s warm, sexy and inviting.

I’ve got this in the lotion and it’s been absolutely wonderful for layering with many different scents. It’s inoffensive and crowd-pleasing and so versatile. This is the first scent I think of when BBW comes to mind. It’s just done so well and smells so beautiful.

The warmest, sweetest amber and sandalwood. I have loved this scent since my early 20s and I'm now 36. I feel so handsome/beautiful when I wear this; it's amazingly unisex. I can't stop smelling my wrist! :)

I remember when I was younger sneaking sprays of this in my older sister's room, a core memory this spray! Still adore everything amber to this day.

So pissed they discontinued this favorite scent for like six months until it ran out

A Warm, sweet, creamy, cozy, and yes even sensual fragrance. I always forget just how much I love this until I smell it again, it’s really beautiful! I mainly pick up on the amber, vanilla, orange blossom, sandalwood, and musk. I also get some of a caramel scent (I think from the praline), and a bit of a fruity scent with just a hint of Iris and rose. Sensual Amber is absolutely perfect for the fall and winter months when you want that warm and cozy feeling. It goes really well with some of my favorite fragrances for the cold weather like Kayali Vanilla 28, Gold Sugar, Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Gold Couture, and Jessica Simpson Fancy. I tend to only use the Sensual Amber body care products with other fragrances, but I also really love the perfume and/or body mist on its own especially with the matching body care. I personally find it a bit too heavy for warmer weather. I get really good performance with Sensual Amber, especially when I’m using the matching body care. The fragrance lasts the entire day on me, and also projects nicely, about an arm’s length.

This to me isn't a stunner on it's own. It's warm & golden and a wonderful smooth grounding base. I think I struggle with the lotus note in general & I think that's what keeps this one from being fabulous on me. However, this is a fabulous mixer that grounds/ smooths other scents wonderfully. I'm still playing around with different combos. I love a good amber base to increase a scents logevity. Ladies do try SA with Strawberry Poundcake...so beautiful & deeply scrumptious!!! They truly bring out the best in one another & talk about a lasting beauty!

soo beautiful warm and sexy like berry candy, it has that perfumey sort of scent reminds me a bit of cosmic or those kind of ambery orange perfumes but more gourmand in some way

dont smell the flowerbomb resemblance at all, d&g the only one smells really close though

My only lament is that it doesn't last long, even for Bath and Body Works scents.

Blind buy that worked out so well! I got the body cream and the spray, which probably helps with the longevity and sileage, both of which I think are quite good, moderate at the least. The scent is so warm, and the orange blossom really stands out to me, which I love. That being said it's got a great depth to it-- you can really smell all of the notes, and they mix together so nicely. There's almost something caramelly about it after a few hours; another reviewer used the word syrupy, and I think that's a great description. Definitely going to get a lot of use out of this during fall and winter! edit: I really did love this when I first tried it! 😭 Something about it now is just too heady for me. I swear my nose is changing lol
