Sun-Ripened Raspberry

I don't remeber what the body spray smelled like on my skin because it wasn't memory worth. The lotion, on the othet hand, is legendary, and continues to be one of my favorite scents from the 90s. I still buy the lotion online when it is re-released, and it is true to the original scent. (I had an old and new bottle and compared them. The only difference is the lotion is not as shelf stable for as long.) By and large I always felt that most of Bath and Body Works fragrances were very distorted (with a few exceptions) when converted to body sprays. Whereas the body lotions and/or body creams lasted a while, have nice silage and smell like what they advertise, the body sprays generally don't last very long and smell heavily of alcohol. The Sun-Ripened Raspberry lotion and body cream had a lovely, soft powdery scent at its base that the Body Spray completely lacked. I absolutely loved the lotion and body cream and continue to buy them when B&BW re-releases them. The body spray isn't worth it.

Won a small gift set of Sun-Ripened Raspberry when I was maybe 6 years old in the early 2000’s at a baby shower and have never looked back. Smells like Summer 2003, being a goofy kid, and not having a single worry other than what time my mom was going to make me come inside from playing in the yard. Would do anything for a long lasting EDP version of this scent!

I'm someone prone to nostalgia, and so that admittedly can color my views of something and make me enjoy it more than I would otherwise. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, but I do try to be cognizant of it so that my reviews aren't biased. Nostalgia and memories are like...80% of why I enjoy this one. Fragrantica needs to get their info straight, because this scent has existed for over 2 decades, it was absolutely not launched this year 🤣 I'm immediately brought back to my old bedroom at my parents' house whenever I smell this. So, regarding the scent itself, there truly is very little to report. It's a super straightforward fragrance with a shampoo-y, artifical fruitiness. It's nearly a single-note fragrance, but it smells like it contains a light amount of nondescript white florals. It's nice, but nothing particularly special. Longevity&sillage are both weak, it's definitely one to layer products with if you're going to get much performance out of it.

I really wanted to like this but it's actually unbearable after 2 pumps. It's like a really sweet bath soap

One of the most unpleasant scents I've smelled in a while. Maybe something is off with my spray but it just smells bitter with a hint of some kind of artificial berry.

i got this one a few months ago (i dont have it anymore, because it was that bad) i love a lot of raspberry scents, but not this one :( it doesn't smell like raspberrys at all. it just smells like leaves. like, when you tear up a bunch of wet leaves, and then smell it. it was not good. :( :( 0/10 would not buy.

Lowkey smells like my childhood in the late 90's/early 20's, so nostalgia is the key. Kinda reminds me of a raspberry soda, or some red fruit drink like that.

Perfect summer scent. Nothing special and it definitely doesn’t have lasting power, but it is definitely nice if you just want to throw something on.

It's okay, the raspberry is definitely not as prominent as I would prefer but hopefully I can layer and make it work. Very 90s body spray feel here

Very soapy on me from the strawberry leaf like a laundry detergent scent but with a subtle sweetness. I have the lotion.
