Sweet Whiskey

The new Sweet Whiskey of 2021 smells like their Aromatherapy Cedarwood and Vanilla (which has some of the cedar of BR 540) and Brown Sugar and Fig. Cedarwood & Vanilla is more dry, not as sweet, woodier and spicier. I smell elements of both, but Sweet Whiskey has the berries that add a more playful sweet fruitiness at first and after 20 mins its more linear: deeper, spicy, very ambery, sweet and tipsy from the whiskey. Brown Sugar and Fig has a similar base imo, its just greener and sweeter, lighter, not ambery, and no drunk vibe going on. I also detect some smokiness in Sweet Whiskey as time passes. I also consider it in the same league as Tease Heartbreaker, which also has some similarity to Brown Sugar and Fig (and Flirt's Glamourazzi), but Tease Heartbreaker is ALOT more spicy than Brown Sugar and Fig, and greener without any smooth vanilla element. Im wearing all these 4 right now on different spots, I love them all and esp Cedarwood & Vanilla, Sweet Whiskey and Tease Heartbreaker. I think Brown Sugar and Fig is the lightest of them all, very milky, slightly nauseating to me sometimes and lacks the spice I smell in these. I may have to add Indi by Katy Perry to this lovely list.. cuz I always considered Indi (and Indi Visible abit) very similar to Brown Sugar and Fig, but now with Sweet Whiskey I see that Indi has alot in common with Sweet Whiskey too as theyre both very ambery and deep, but Indi is as milky and cool/not warm as Brown Sugar and Fig and green/balsamic as that (Indi's tonka, tea and bergamot give that milky and green fig-like impression). I mean I love all of the above scents, they're all heavenly.

The fact that this kind of depth can be achieved in a body mist, is astonishing to me. This could be a niche scent. In fact, this is pretty similar to one: Commodity's Milk. Milk is denser, gooeyer marshmallow, deeper, smokier and less berry-fruity/boozy. Actually, there are no berries at all in Milk to my nose. But other than that this mist really captures the essence of Milk for me. I personally was intrigued by Milk, but couldn't stand it on me because of it density. It was slightly nauseating. Sweet Whiskey, although it has such depth, still has some airy quality to it. For me it smells like fire roasted gooey marshmalllow mixed with red berries that smell boozy. I've always loved boozy scents, but most of the time I can't wear them because they turn sour on me. I start smelling like an alcoholic. With this one the booziness is not too sour or pungent. This scent smells rich, sophisticated, misterious, completely unisex, sexy, delicious without being too edible, hence perfumy. It would also make an excellent home scent. I love the purple facetted packaging, the dark purple one is nice too. BBW needs to make this permanent, although I can see why this is a fall/winter only, definitely more of a cold weather scent. I should also add, this is not necessarily a crowd pleaser, definitely not for everyone. BBW has come a long way from when I last tested their scents. If this is the bar, BBW has all the potential to create some nichey bangers for the masses in the future. I am here for it.

I don’t own a lot of BBW mists, and that’s because I am very picky about which mists I find good enough to buy. For me to like a mist it has to smell unique (at least by BBW standards) and be layerable with perfumes I already own. There’s also the question of availability. Where I live not a lot of the seasonal stuff gets stocked, which means I don’t have a lot to choose from anyway. Sweet Whiskey was a blind buy because I found an online store that stocks stuff not available in physical stores here and the notes looked promising. I love myself a boozy vanilla :) Imagine my joy when the very first spray reminded me of my favourite The Naughty Remix by Britney Spears. I kid you not, it’s a dead ringer for that perfume and I am over the moon. Sweet Whiskey is so much more complex than the notes make it sound. It’s boozy and sweet but also woody and so so cozy. I can totally see a guy pulling this off. Think fluffy sweaters and woollen mufflers and a cozy fireplace and a tumbler of whiskey. Can’t comment on longevity but then again I don’t expect a lot from my mists anyway. Regardless of how well this performs, this is nothing but pure love from me!

This doesn’t have oud/agarwood listed in the scent profile but there HAS to be. I love the body wash and the body cream so much but there’s this oud note in the spray at first that I despise. Thankfully it’s a short lived note that disappears quickly and goes back to the Smokey vanilla berry profile that I love. But at first spray I thought “Oh no! Why am I smelling oud?!” That said if you are an oud lover, this pairs really well with Oud Mood by Lattafa. I keep trying to like oud but there’s just something in it that I can’t get down with. I’m rating it high though because I love the cream and body wash so much. Edit 1/8/25: OK, apparently oud is an acquired scent and I guess I acquired it! 😂 I let my Oud Mood mature for several months and then came back to it and paired it with the cream and it smells divine. Oddly I still don’t like the body spray of this must the wash and cream paired with oud mood is absolutely beautiful in this cold winter weather. Maybe that was my issue before - it was still too warm weather here in the south.

When I first smelled this by spraying the fragrance in the cap, I was unimpressed. It just smelled like vanilla and alcohol. I decided to try it out on skin and actually wear it. I wore it out to breakfast, a cigar lounge, and to run errands. This was really nice! The amber oil and vanilla are the true stars of this masterpiece, once it dries down. It lasts very well for a body mist--and the projection simply rocks! I found myself smelling my wrists throughout the day--simply captivated by the essence of Sweet Whiskey. I layered it with Sol de Janeiro's Bum Bum Cream--these two work magic together. Perfect for cigar lounges, Happy Hour, and hookah sessions--day or night.

Sweet Whiskey is a beautiful more grounded vanilla. Unlike Christmas Cookie, Sweet Whiskey is slightly more complex. I own the lotion and enjoy mixing and matching it with bbw “vanilla mocha Martini”, “Coffee and Whiskey” or “frosted coconut snowball,” or if you want your pina colada to be a little more mysterious, and trust me on this, take a shower with the bbw “pineapple coconut” body wash, then apply Sweet whiskey lotion, then apply “pineapple coconut” body cream to your cuticles, elbows, knees, then spritz some “pineapple coconut” mist. That’s the best combination. Trust me.

At first I thought it does smell like Bonfire Bash. But it's different. Sweet Whiskey has a very prominent amber note mixed with a sweet Bourbon note. Because of the amber it's a warm and sultry scent. As compared to Bonfire Bash it's less sweeter and less smokey. These somehow share some similarities, but even though they sound the same, the Fragrances are really different. To summarize: Sweet Whiskey: Warm, sultry, powdery berry sweetness. Bonfire Bash: Prominent Whiskey Barrel and Smoke notes with prominent but not overpowering sweetness. Like both a lot. 🤤

I love this one, but I can't wear it. My skin chemistry magnifies certain scent notes & the whiskey note in this one is one of them. However, my youngest DD smells like heaven in it & loves it. So now I enjoy it vicariously through her. She wears it well year round, it softens up beautifully on her. I'd peg it as more of a cool weather scent or a date night one in fairer seasons. There is a cuddly, almost gender neutral, warm, sexy vibe to this scent. It lingers on & wears like a EDT or EDP in our experience, respraying is almost never needed. Fabulous value!

I don’t get a single ounce of fruit out of this (a plus for me) and it lasts 8+ hours when layered with its body lotion! As a note: On me things tend to turn sweet and lose a lot of their projection. Not so with this one! I get a heavy, syrup sweet vanilla with a smoky whiskey note that lingers. I think it sweetens a bit as it wears, but overall it’s a very consistent scent. Definitely a cold weather only one though!

Even if you are a fragrance snob you may like this. It's sweet, warm, and smoky. It lasts a bit longer than your average body spray. I've layered this with Replica Jazz Club and YUM! Beautiful combo. I was hoping this would be a bit more boozy, but what are you gonna do? It was like 8 buck! It's pretty unisex and would fit nicely in anyone's collection. BTW, mine is in a pink bottle. Could be holiday packaging.

I really like this! It pairs well with a lot of vanilla perfumes and lasts a long time. It could be argued as unisex but I'd say Def leans more into vanilla amber feminine. I love the slightly sweet smokey smell of the vanilla. Am absolutely going to buy more before it's gone. It's a fall winter scent but I'll wear it year round honestly. Pairs beautiful with mix bar perfumes too!

This year is my first time smelling this ! I just purchased the lotion today and I can confirm that this almost smells identical to pure seduction untamed ... I bought the untamed mist last year ! I will use sweet whiskey lotion to layer with pure seduction untamed and berry elixir from last years Victoria secret collections ! They are all very similar to each other.

This is a really nice smoked boozy amber vanilla. It opens with the berry note and dries down smooth and smokey, not overpowering. I find the smoke and amber balance out the vanilla so it doesn't get too sweet. This is what I thought Bonfire Bash was going to be like but it turned out too heavy in the vanilla. I really like this.

IVE been doing the same combo for 2 yrs now..it's one my favorites..infact I just suggested this on the forum too...on me they smell nearly identical but not and they complement each other so well..sweet whiskey also goes well with Ariana grande cloud..which on me smells just like Burberry her

Alone this can smell masculine but let me put you on real quick. Burberry Her mixed with Sweet Whiskey is awesome!!!! First use the sweet whisky body cream then follow up with the sweet whiskey body spray all over your body. Lastly spray Burberry Her on your pulse points. You’re Welcome ☺️

I'm kind of sad that I waited too late to get this. I was only able to get the body lotion which is very nice, but my store sold out everything, i mean every other form of this scent. Hopefully this comes out again next year. Such a nice vanilla boozy scent.

i had this a few years ago before i sort of aged out of the body mists and this was my absolute favorite scent. i remember it got confiscated by TSA cuz my dumb self left it in my carry on bag. i was devastated... i still mourn this loss to this day

Gorgeous simple cedar-honeyed-vanillic-amber drydown which is quite nice IF 1) Jusbox Fifty Four is empty/missing (heavens forbid) OR 2) Ye brave sprayer, are bold enough to withstand the dear god its a scrubber, cloying musty syrupy thick intro.

I love, love, love this! Sweet berry whiskey heaven! It gives warmth, comfort, playfulness, sexiness and confidence. Scents that have a similar vibe to this one, are: Winterberry wonder Jovan Gold Musc Bare Vanilla Decadent

This smells so amazing. My husband and I share this one. It mixes well with everything! I haven't loved a BBW fragrance this much since Cashmere Glow came out. It lasts well for a BBW scent too.

This one is nice, it's similar to Commodity Milk but much fainter. It find it similar to Bonfire Bash also, but this is more unisex while that one is very feminine-leaning to me

Very warm, slightly boozy, very vanilla and amber-y. Absolutely divine for fall and winter. I expect it to have better sillage when it gets colder out, but I love it!

This smells really amazing on my husband. It's gourmand but the smoky whiskey vibe keeps it from being too sweet. The smell clings to clothing a lot longer than skin.

I just spent like 40$ on 1oz of Commodity Gold and I had 8oz of this the whole time. 😂 If you have one you don't need the other for sure.

It smells like a boozy Black Opium, Amerby Vanilla by Dossier, or Into the Night. BBW brought it back for fall. Love this!

this did not smell quite like i expected it to based on the name and notes. to my nose, i mostly get a lactonic vanilla with syrupy berries and a bit of woodiness. i can vaguely smell the comparison to commodity milk expressive, but wouldn't go as far as to call it a dupe/inspiration. the milkiness is similar to b&bw's milk, just much lighter on the oats. something smells weird and almost medicinal on my skin if i smell it up close. i don't get it in the air though, so it's not a big deal. this is a very soft scent for me. i really have to douse myself in order to smell it and it still fades pretty quickly, even for a b&bw body mist. i do like this, but i'll probably just reserve it as a bedtime scent since it's warm, milky, and sits close to my skin.

To me this smells like Britney Spears In Control Curious. Ironically, even though this is a body mist, it's like a stronger smelling version of the Britney perfume. I loved that perfume, but it always smelled so faint even after just spraying. This Sweet Whiskey is much stronger right from first spritz and is pretty long wearing for a Bath & Body Works body mist. I had no clue what this really smelled like when I bought it as I purchased it from a Mercari seller. I just thought it sounded like notes I tend to like. It was a nice surprise that it ended up smelling like that perfume I'd always loved. It's definitely a boozy smelling vanilla, and I like it a lot.

i like this body mist! it smells like a sweet vanilla whiskey. i originally bought this because i asked one of the b&bw associates if they had any caramel-smelling perfumes, and they led me to this. it is a very good smell, however, i am not a big fan of the amber being there. it is a bit strong and it makes it kinda musky but i love this scent! very nice, not too sweet, and smells great! it doesn't last long, but i think we all know b&bw body mists don't last that long. it's a great fall scent! nice and warm! 🫶🏾

For me this smells very similar to the original Bonfire Bash. Over the years it has changed and become less deep and smokey like it was originally. I smelled this at the store a couple weeks ago and I was instantly like "this is original Bonfire Bash." It's like a smokey bourbon vanilla which makes me think of roasting marshmallows.

Like other reviewers have said, there is a prominent wood or oud note that’s not listed on the bottle. That being said, this smells ✨expensive✨. It reminds me a lot of a sweeter version of Eilish no2

Smell like Snowflake & CASHMERE but more mature

i like this one, but not as much as i was expecting to from the notes. sometimes i smell it and it seems to just hit: it's deep, a little masculine, and not too sweet. but other times i smell it and it just smells so... bath and body works. idrk how else to explain it, but i think it's because of that goddamn berry note that bbw puts in every other frag. it reminds me a bit of twilight mist from body fantasies, so i think a lot of people would like it since that and twilight woods from bbw are both well-loved, but i think that's part of what stops me from fully enjoying it--i enjoy this fragrance a lot for the most part but that berry scent that i seem to be unable to escape when it comes to fragrance mists just kind of puts me off. i love sensual amber, which has pretty similar notes, but i feel like the berries just work better in that fragrance than they do in this one. not a bad fragrance by any means, and it's got pretty typical sillage and longevity, but this is definitely more of a berry scent to me than a true "sweet whiskey" scent, which was what i was personally hoping for.

I only smell the complexity of the vanilla infused whiskey and ambery notes in the body wash. I tried to get on board with the spray and the body cream but all i pick up is generic red berries, i.e. 98% of the bath and body works scent profiles. The late dry down is a delicious wood and whiskey note. I don't know if it's worth this many products for a skin scent. I'm fine with this one being a body wash. The packaging is lovely

This smells like a sweet smokey boozy vanilla. Absolute perfection! I only have the body mist, so I know longevity will not be the best. This is wonderful to spray all over your clothes and the room for that matter! This is one of the better vanilla scents I have smelled and wish that they made this available in EdP format!

Not for me personally, but this is fantastic to layer with Commodity Milk perfume! They are very similar, Sweet Whiskey is just lighter!

Don't laugh, but it's a touch too boozy for me. It's warm and cozy and perfect for bedtime.

As soon as I put this on, it reminded me of Snowflakes & Cashmere! Glad to see I'm not alone lol. Personally I like S&C better, I find it more well-rounded. This one... I don't hate it, I don't love it, ultimately I just find it very forgettable if not a little bit screechy. I think this one has officially convinced me that I'm not a fan of whiskey notes.

I am so bummed because I love vanilla, amber, bourbon scents and this one was not it for me. There is some sort of weird base note that is very sharp to my nose reminding me of ammonia. What a bummer. For reference, I enjoy these other scents: Commodity Gold and VS Bare Vanilla and Mix Bar Bourbon Vanilla

I have a nearly full 75 mL of this if anyone is interested in trading! Definitely a more sophisticated scent for BBW which I can admire, but far too potent for me.

I blind bought this one in the fall along with the Halloween scents (love Everlasting Magic & Midnight Spell, but really dislike Vampire Blood) after hearing a lot of good things about it. Unfortunately for me this one is a massive nope. I’m surprised because it really sounded like something that I would enjoy, especially since I love Kayali Vanilla 28, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Replica By the Fireplace, B&BW Cozy Vanilla Bourbon, and B&BW Bonfire Bash. There is just something about this one that hit me as extremely heavy medicinal smelling. It’s basically all I get, a kind of sickly medicinal smell. Maybe the combination of whiskey and red berries? Whatever it is it’s just a definite no for me. This is one of my few blind buy fails along with the Vampire Blood collection in the same order.

This is back for fall 2021 and if you enjoy scents like bonfire bash from BBW you will also love this! They are like twin brother and sister. I find this scent to be the feminine, lighter more mature version of her brother with more of an amber forward scent compared to her sandalwood heavy brother. I barely smell the berries but they are there. This scent is perfect for a gal like me in her 30's who doesn't want to come off smelling too juvenile yet also doesn't want to smell like she's reaching for those 40's quite yet.

I blind bought this since I love a lot of the fragrances it's compared to... unfortunately I don't get the comparisons at all. I don't get any vanilla or whiskey, just synthetic/cheap "amber" and "red berries." Honestly I found this nauseating, especially in the opening. Unfortunately for me it also lasts longer than the average B&BW mist on me. Scrubbed and returned - 0 stars.

Is it the whiskey or the oud that I hate? Something smells like BO when I sniff the nozzle. It's not so awful when I spray it, but I still get a weird note in the air. It's only there for a second, but it's so offputting, I can't take it.

Oh hate it. Smells like engine oil and Gen z trying to make it all up that women should smell like guys. Stick to flowers and gour.onds please, none of this unisex marketing. I promise I threw this right in the can and showered
