Vanilla Romance

Gorgeous, Softly sweet, vanilla forward, woody, warm, charming, enchanting, sensual, seductive, creamy, subtlely warm spicy/smoky, cozy, comforting, addictive, feminine, intriguing, elegant, unique If you’re a vanilla fan you really need this one! Yes, this is a woody vanilla, but it’s not too overly woody. For example, I don’t find it as woody as Replica By the Fireplace (they definitely pair extremely well together, I’ll share a tip about both at the end!). So Don’t let that frighten you off because this is truly so very lovely, and it’s going to really shine especially during the fall and winter! Don’t let this be the one that got away! Yes, it really is THAT incredible! This is such an elevated fragrance than the majority of B&BW fragrances (I love tons of B&BW and always will!), one that’s just more complex, has more depth, and is just really special. More addictive, intriguing, unique, and elegant. It’s a softly sweet, warm, and sensual vanilla that has a subtle warm spiciness of cardamom, and a beautiful and cozy woody scent. This is one of the best body care fragrances that they have ever released imo! As a major vanilla lover I bought this in the perfume, mist, lotion, and shower gel! It’s so good that I’ve already bought more lotion (like 6 bottles!) because it pairs beautifully with so many warmer vanillas. It’s already become my main go to vanilla lotion and shower gel (even surpassing my beloved Cozy Vanilla Bourbon) for my warm vanillas. This smells somewhat similar to what their Marshmallow Fireside candles and hand soap smell like. I also feel like I get a slight vibe of VS Vanilla Lace! This is definitely not a dupe for it, but there’s something about it that makes me think of Vanilla Lace even though that wasn’t a woody vanilla. I also find it really similar to B&BW Wicked Vanilla Woods and somewhat similar to Donna Karen Cashmere & Palo Santo, Phlur Vanilla Skin, Commodity Milk, Kayali The Wedding Silk Santal, Kayali Vanilla 28, and Replica By the Fireplace (less smoky, sweeter, much more vanilla forward). I get great performance with Vanilla Romance, especially using the body care and mist together. The longevity is really good, it lasts the majority of the day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. Last, but not least, I’ve always hoped B&BW would release Marshmallow Fireside in the body care. If you use the Vanilla Romance lotion and mist/EDP and add just 1-2 sprays of Replica By the Fireplace it smells almost identical to Marshmallow Fireside! It’s the closest of anything I’ve ever tried, like it’s shocking close imo!

Vanilla, but not gourmand! Before pulling the trigger on this body spray, I had heard a lot of discourse about it. Many were saying it was a sweet gourmand while the other side said it smelled like a burnt, unpleasant vanilla. So, I was curious. When going in store and spraying it on paper.. I could not smell a thing! But there was a sale and the perfume was only $5.. so I bought it. When you spray this and smell it outside the store.. she blossoms into a whole new fragrance. It opens with a blast of cardamom and smoky(ish) woods. Then immediately the non-gourmand, ambery vanilla note makes its entrance. This vanilla rounds the scent out and makes it sooo smooth. Vanilla Romance transports me to an evening at the cabin. The fireplace is crackling, jazz is playing in the background, and I have a cup of vanilla chai in my hands. So warm, so comforting. It’s also perfect for layering! 10/10

Like the Alchemy between Cardamom & Friends... This is a dupe of Gentle Fluidity Gold MFK with that malty vanilla (similar vanilla also in Dama Bianca Xerjoff, Junoon Noir Al Haramain, Intense Cafe Montale etc.). Nice surprise! Starts out like vanilla & cardamom, but a few minutes in, as it's drying down it changes into that characteristic base of malty vanilla, that reminds me of the strange way that cardamom changes when it's combined with tea or rose, and becomes something entirely new - at least to my nose. This is beautiful on its own, or layered with similar scents (like above), tea, rose, tea-rose, jasmine-tea, jasmine, matcha, praline scents and more, but I'd probably layer it with matcha, green-tea & jasmine-tea to lighten this, and/or deepen scents that I might otherwise wear in summer. the opening is pretty bright, idk why no one mentions this but for me the opening reminds me a little of mod vanilla by ariana, i dont see anyone saying this tho!! its just the very opening, then it starts drying down and it smells deeper, woody, still very vanilla but woody and spicy, it feels deep because of the woody notes but the vanilla itself for me keeps being pretty light and airy it can smell a little masculine but in a good way, like the masculinity makes it feel more feminine somehow, like the prettiest girl ull see named jordan or alex it also gives young girl starting to grow up, like that transition from 17 to 20 overall its reallyyy good!! complex for being b&bw, crowd pleaser type of scent and i can see myself wearing it year round 💕 fell in love with it at first smell. safe blind buy :)

I received this and warm vanilla as gifts. I prefer this one over the latter. This feels lighter and more wearable to me. I keep it in my bag and just spray a bit throughout the day whenever I feel I need a refresher. IDK if this will still be the case when it gets really hot (I live in Dubai), but for now it's working. I love the warm vanilla lotion, though, and love to layer it with Vanilla Romance. As for the scent itself. It's a very wearable and soft vanilla with a bit of spice. I believe that is why I prefer it to warm vanilla, which is a more floral vanilla, and the florals there are heavy. I generally tend to like more woody and spicy scents. I also like green notes when combined with vanilla, but I'm not a huge floral fan except in some specific combinations.

This is my favorite BBW Vanilla scent! I've tried most of the popular vanillas they've had over the years, and Warm Vanilla Sugar is a classic in my mind. Vanilla Romance is like a zhuzhed up version of that classic. It's still very sweet, but it's even warmer. Normally, I don't care for woodsy scents, but the cardamon has a lovely spice to it. I feel like someone who like woods and wants to experiment with gourmands would appreciate the cardamon too. V. Romance is so good that I'm considering dropping $50 for the Eau De Parfum version of it. This might be my nose being strange, but somehow it reminds me of Sweet Tooth (Sabrina Carpenter's perfume), and that's my absolute favorite scent.

This will forever be my favourite Bath and Bodyworks scent. Even the body wash smells so good that I had to sit down in the shower the first time I used it just to keep smelling it. It makes me feel so clean. I use the body spray often, it's got this comforting smell that follows me out of my house afterwards. It is so strong on the vanilla, not fully gourmand but sweet and mature. Bath and Bodyworks isn't so cheap here in Australia (over $40+ AUD for body spray and literally any product of theirs in general), and this is the only scent I'm willing to repurchase for that price. I stopped my collection after finding this, I didn't need it anymore. I found the perfect scent of theirs.

If you love this fragrance and have wished for an oil version or more staying power, get ye to Marshalls/TJ Maxx and look for Sand + Fog’s Vanilla Reserve. It has a slightly more citrusy opening but within moments they are exactly the same on me. Vanilla Reserve is also inspired by PDM Althair. This is a spicy, woody, sexy vanilla that is slightly masculine leaning imo (as a woman who very much enjoys wearing it). It not particularly milky/creamy, sugary, cupcakey, or frosting-like as so many vanillas tend to be, nor does it smell like vanilla extract, but it does layer nicely with sweeter vanillas if you want that. On its own, it is cardamom-forward, soft, and aromatic.

absolute goodness. the initial spray can be a bit sharp, but once the smoky/woody/spicy notes sit and mellow out a bit, it's just a beautiful, nuanced vanilla that's sweet without being cloying or gourmand. it's classy and mature, but not grandma-ish in any way. i definitely see the comparisons to bonfire bash, by the fireplace, and vanilla skin, and i think this is also pretty similar to viva vanilla (not dupes, but they have a similar deep/smoky vanilla vibe that's perfect for cool weather). my only gripe is that for such a rich scent, the projection and longevity are pretty average when i expected this to perform as well as viva vanilla.

Me and my boyfriend spent at least an hour in bathandbodyworks trying to find the perfect fall/winter vanilla bodymist and confidently, this is the winner. Even compared to Viva Vanilla! We did several tests and compared every bodymist that I was interested in and this reigned supreme. If you want depth in a vanilla fragrance you will love this. It's not overly sweet, and stays on your clothes for so long! However with any body mist just buy a mini perfume travel bottle and fill it up with this because you will need to reapply. After an hour or so it settles really close to my skin and people can only smell it if they hug me or are close.

My very favorite bath and body works fragrance (forever red is a very close second, if that indicates anything about my particular sensibilities). I plan on getting my hands on the new eau de parfum formulation once I run out of my mist. I nearly cried of joy when I saw it in my local bath and body works, as it’s far and away my favorite under-fragrance. It works alone, or beneath any powdery or light floral scents (think Miss Dior 2021). Pair it with a gourmand lotion underneath (sol de janerio’s Brazilian bum bum on the wrists and inner elbows does it for me) and it works as well! A lovely mist.

This is my favorite scent from B&BW and it's the first body mist I've completely emptied since restarting my collection. It's a slightly smokey, spicy, and creamy vanilla gourmand scent. I've been told I smell like hot cocoa before and that's a pretty accurate description of what this scent gives. It's perfect for the colder months, but that won't stop me from wearing at home all year long. When I heard this was getting put on sale for SAS, I knew I had to restock. I hope this doesn't get discontinued. If you like vanilla scents, this is a must have. Great for pairing!

I don’t know how people can say this smells like Parfum de Marlys althair. No! Not at all However, this is a really really nice body mist! Actually reminds me of a better version of vanilla woods by the 7 virtues (which i actually don’t like smells like burnt cookies) but this body mist caught my attention today at bath and body works and i got myself 3 bottles since they were buy 2 get 1 free! I don’t know why since i never use body mists i only collect perfumes. But this smelled so nice i just had to have it! Actually now i see it. It does have an air to althair 🤣

I had an accidental LOVELY layerin experience! Wit dis one! I'm a "BBW" employee! So I put on "The Boy Is Mine" body glaze! By "Canvas Beauty"! Followed up wit "Moisturizes Softens" body oil by "Palmer's", "Vanilla Romance" spray, & "Tender Romance" perfume by Ralph Lauren! I went in fa ma shift! A male customer looked at me! He said, "I could smell you when you passed by! What do you have on?" I told him! He ended up buyin "Vanilla Romance" lotion! Anyone else love when their combo projects?! I do also own "Vanilla Romance" body butter! 10/10 scent!🥰🔥

This one totally took me by surprise, but like, in the best way possible. I’m already a sucker for vanilla scents, but this one? It’s on a whole different level. It’s not your soft, cupcake-type vanilla. This is bold, deep, and honestly a little dangerous in the best way. There’s this boozy, almost alcohol-y kick when you first spray it, and weirdly? I love it. It adds this spicy, sensual vibe that makes it stand out from other sweet scents. It’s like vanilla with an edge! grown-up, sexy, and totally attention grabbing.

This is your mature vanilla with a tiny hint of sweetness. If you're looking for a gourmand vanilla this isn't it. I think bath & body works did a wonderful job on this! It smells incredibly expensive like something tom Ford would release. This is clean, spicy, smokey, and woody great for fall & winter. To my nose this leans unisex, a man could totally pull this off. Dossier has a perfume in their original line called "golden rum & amber" that smells exactly like this except with a more woodsy-smokey undertone.

This smells amazing! A perfect dupe for Selena Gomez Rare Beauty, except for me it's better than that because it actually lasts. Rare Beauty faded quickly on me. I love the cardamom note, it's not just a basic vanilla scent. It smells like an elevated fragrance for a much lower cost. I like the size of the mini, this is perfect for taking on the go, but I shouldn't have to spray again throughout the day since it is so long lasting. I'm very happy with this scent, I hope that it's not discontinued!

I smelt this by chance at B&BW and was instantly transported to my childhood. I'm Greek, and this scent is literally our vanilla spoon sweet. The ones that we eat and dip in ice water. It also has a masticha vibe. My mouth watered and I bought 2 bottles. It's funny because I was looking for a scent that reminded me of Greece, this is definitely it. A sweet, warm, Greek Gourmand. Just realized it's creator is Greek too, so that makes total sense to me......very well done. A new favorite ♥️

One of the best fragrances bath and body works has ever put out PERIOD (and my new personal favorite <3). So unbelievably delicious, addictive, and downright sexy. The vanilla in this is heaven sent! Honestly shocked over how expensive/high quality it smells.. and how similar it is to Althaïr/Liquid Brun.. like I’d never assume this was a body mist from BBW if you didn’t tell me.. and I literally work there LMAO. Yeahhhh this one’s a winner.. love love love!

Este es uno de los body mist mejores logrados de B&BW, es una vainila pero como ahumada, amaderada, madura! me recuerda bastante a By the fire place. Su durabilidad es bastante para ser un body mist! yo me lo siento en la piel por varias horas! Si eres amante de la vainilla no tan dulce con un toque de madera tienes que probarlo. Es sexy y al mismo tiempo calido. Puede ser usado por hombres pero lo veo mas femenino. Para mi es un 10/10
