Warm Musk

Vanilla, musky, powdery, sweet, warm, amber, feminine, sensual, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delicate, delightful, smooth, soft, inviting, cozy, comforting This is such a pretty, dreamy, and especially cozy and comforting scent! It feels very whipped, airy, smooth, soft, and even delicate. This makes me think of sweet vanilla whipped cream, except not particularly creamy/lactonic, with soft musk, and the golden warmth of amber. Think musky vanilla whipped cream swirled with a gentle warm golden glow of amber. This is such an easy reach, and easy to love, I think it’s one of those scents that can be lovely worn alone, but also pairs nicely with other fragrances, particularly vanillas. To me, this feels feminine, and suitable for women of any age. I think this works best during the fall and winter because of its warmth and coziness. It feels most fitting for casual occasions and work/school, or as a base layer for other occasions. In the opening, this is incredibly similar to B&BW Bonfire Bash/Aries, VS Vanilla Rebel, Ariana Grande Plush Vanilla & Bodycology Cozy Fireside S'more. To me, at first, like the others, it's basically just fluffy vanilla with a sandalwood note that aaaaalmost approaches pencil shavings territory. It's a scent that I actually really enjoy, but I already have several mists that smell just like it. Interestingly, however, in this particular fragrance, the woody note begins to fade until it disappears and the vanilla becomes much more creamy & buttery than in any of the previously mentioned fragrances! It's really beautiful! The buttery vanilla in the drydown kept reminding me of some other scent in my collection; after searching & sniffing, my conclusion is that it kind of smells like B&BW Milk Bar Birthday Cake FFM! Maybe a bit softer, but that's pretty much what remains on my skin in the deep drydown. I can also see what Luciaarramoss is saying about there being a cocoa/cocoa butter vibe, especially right before it goes full Birthday Cake. I really like, maybe even love this! To me, the creamy richness of the vanilla actually elevates it above the scents I mentioned in the opening of this review; it's the scent profile of those, but better! Really pleased with this one! Gorgeous matte gradient packaging as well. Edit: I see a lot of upvotes for VS Bare Sueded Vanilla as a similar scent. I personally love that scent (I have the EdP [and a backup!], the mist, lotion & rich body crème), but Warm Musk is a bit different to me. IMO, the openings are very different; BSV is more spicy, while WM has that almost pencil-shaving-like sandalwood I mentioned before. In the drydown, BSV is more milky/lactonic (literally condensed "vanilla milk"), while WM is more vanilla cake + buttercream frosting. I mean, they're not eons away from each other; they're still in the same fragrance category. I just find that WM reminds me of all the other scents I mentioned before I would think to compare it to BSV. It's fair to say that if a person likes one, they may like the other as well.

Big fan of this! Got it for 5$ during one of the B&BW sales, absolute bang for my buck. Specifically I use this for layering on top of my other musky, vanilla perfumes. Very unisex scent, not particularly feminine nor masculine to me. Doesn't have great lasting power by itself, but it's not particularly bad either, just the usual B&BW longevity. I'd describe it as more musk than vanilla, 100%, but definitely still very sweet. VERY warm and cozy. The amber note doesn't shine by itself very much, but if paired with something similar it'll peak through for sure. I layer it with either Father Figure by Phlur or Tobacco Vanille TF. I typically reapply this 2-3 times a day. Good for cold, gloomy cozy days or warm ones where you're out and about. I could see this working for anything, really. Maybe that's just my personal love for Vanilla and Musk though. Probably my favourite B&BW scent so far! My MIL likes it, my fiancé likes it ... everyone likes it. Going to be getting more in the future once I run out.

i've had this since it first dropped and am finally deciding to write a review for it. i don't buy from b&bw anymore and don't enjoy most of their other fragrances (the only other one i currently have from them is off the vine) but i love warm musk and have it in both the body spray and the lotion. it is such a beautiful vanilla, to me it smells almost dusty, not typically what i think of when i think of "powdery" perfumes, it is just a beautiful dusty vanilla. whenever i want to wear perfume but don't know what to choose, she's there. whenever i need something crowd pleasing or non-offensive, she's there. whenever i want to wear just a simple vanilla, or want to add vanilla to a scent that i feel may be missing it, she's there. she is simple but she is exactly what she needs to and is aiming to be. idk how you could get more perfect than that.

This is my favourite release from B&BW in a long time, it turns into sugary, warm, buttery vanilla on my skin. I have the whole line and the scent stays fairly consistent throughout. I personally don’t agree that this smells like Vanilla Skin, it’s just a lot more simple and soft. Full routine has a lasting power of around 3-4 hours, while the FFM on its own is around 1-2h. I frequently use this as a base for warmer fragrances, and it adds a buttercream-like base layer to my routine. Beautifully blended.

i think the musk collection by bbw was very well executed overall, but this is the standout fragrance from the lineup! it’s very cozy due to the balance of vanilla and musk, which appeals to a lot of people including me. however, is this necessarily the most original fragrance to have been made at bath and body works?? absolutely not, as this fragrance reminds me of a subtle warm vanilla sugar. imma let it slide tho, as bbw isn’t really known for innovation lmao

I’ve been sleeping on this fragrance cause man, you can layer this with SO MANY other fragrances. Best word to describe Warm Musk is: COZY I haven’t bought B&BW fragrances in awhile and found out the entire musk collection is being discontinued so i gave this one a chance and i absolutely love it. I don’t like stocking up on these mists because i have so many but im gonna have to make an exception.

Oh. Oh my. This is the best recent B&BW scent I've smelled by far; also has decently better longevity than many of their other new releases, at least on my skin. Such a pretty vanilla musk. Feels like a warm hug: sweet, gentle, and comforting. Very similar to DKNY Be Delicious Latte Vanilla. I've been using this one evey night before bed since I got it ♡

Warm Musk is a softer, lighter Bare Sueded Vanilla. Not a lot of lasting power but when you do smell it, it's cozy and slightly sweet. I've been using the body cream and mist when I'm alone at home but still want to smell good. It's perfect for post-shower pajamas and getting into bed:)

This is my warm cozy sitting in front of fire reading scent. I wear it to bed also. It’s a warm fluffy cloud. It’s not gourmand more elevated scent. This is a great dupe for Nebras and Ellish

Absolutely amazing scent and pairs so nicely with Billie no.1. it's like a cheaper version of Billies original fragrance and I absolutely love it

I use the body creme and travel spray together and layer it with Nebras for projection and silage. Long lasting body creme.

Smells wonderful but no lasting power at all

This review is easy. Warm Musk is vanilla and musk. Plain and simple. There is nothing earth-shattering about it, and there is nothing offensive. Some might describe it as slightly milky or even sweet, but it is still very basic. But it's the simplicity that makes it great. If you are looking for an easy, every day, cozy scent, this is one to try. It is also perfect for layering with other scents, either to enhance a vanilla fragrance (I'm wearing it with Kayali Vanilla 28 today), or to give a totally different scent an underlying hint or boost of vanilla. I also own the shower gel and body cream, and together I get a longer longevity (6 hours instead of just 2 with the fine fragrance mist). I would classify the projection as a close-to-the skin to perhaps an arm's length away. This fragrance does not announce your presence as you walk into a room. Makes it great for an office environment where beast mode fragrances are discouraged. Also nice at bedtime for pleasant sleep and dreams.😴

This does not smell like vanilla skin at all. There is no peppery note which is what I think makes a vanilla perfume at least remotely similar to vanilla skin. That being said, this mist was good enough for me to buy, and I intended to use it to layer with other scents. It is super cozy but nothing groundbreaking. The other newer musks from B&BW (fruity musk, fresh musk) have a bit more “uhmf”. Musk definitely dominates on my skin, with a moderately sweet vanilla being pronounced as well. The body cream however is awful at first, but in combination smells more pleasant and creamy. The lotion alone smells like straight BO and some milk (not in a good way— I actually like milk notes). Putting the body mist on top, however, transforms the scent in a completely. It becomes fuller and more well-rounded.

This is a lovely musky vanilla, it does smell very similar to vanilla skin (minus the black pepper pencil shavings) I really like this its kinda dull, so its good for a rainy day or for nighttime. Something about it is so cozy and comforting, and I like how its not really sweet at all. Sometimes we all need a break from all that cloying vanilla and this is just that. Writing this review while smelling it makes me wish I bought backups LOL

Warm is the perfect description for this fragrance. It does gently warm on the skin with the note of amber but with the musk and kiss of vanilla its very soft; your skin, but a little warmer and not too sweet. Depending on the environment while wearing it, it does not last for very long. Sits very close to the skin. Great for those who like soft and very subtle in my opinion. Great everyday wearable fragrance.

This is a lighter softer version of Billie Eilish and Nebras. Very cozy and warm vanilla - not too sweet but musky and warm. Longevity is 3-4hrs on my skin and projection is moderate in the first few minutes and then becomes close to skin fragrance just like any other BBW mists. If you like no. 1 or Nebras you’ll definitely like this!

I bought the mini perfume, not the body mist. Smells great. Very milky vanilla. Similar to Eilish. No lasting power, but i’ve come to expect that from BBW. I think it’ll work great layered with something else vanilla based. EDIT: Layers great with Paris Corner Eternal Musk.

Everything that @krimpokrimpee said. Billy Eilish , Lattafa Nebras dupe. However in this package - lotions, mists...it makes sense. Made for layering.

this is a really mature and well rounded vanilla scent. no trace of cookie at all, which surprised me cus i was smelling it against warm vanilla sugar. it must be the amber and musk! it's one of the few bbw scents i didn't find completely offensive, but i agree that it's unmistakably and unremarkably inspired by vanilla skin. there's something heavy about carrying such a familiar dark, beige and leathery profile. when i have this on, i have an urge to run away and wash myself off in a clear, crisp bamboo forest

It's strange because when I fist smelled this in-store it was delightful. Warm, softly sweet and vanilla and Musky. Now when I wear it it's sour. I bought the little perfume bottle instead of the body mist and thought maybe the perfume is the funky one, but when I went back to smell the body mist it still smelled sour again! I like the Fresh Musk but Warm Musk is just meh :(

Smells just like Bare sueded vanilla. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it since I already have the former. Sweeter than I expected, especially for a "musk" perfume.

If Lacroix made a fragrance, this would be it. It smells like your neighbor thought about a fairly decent vanilla musk.

Musk we ambroxan all the time?

Vanilla, amber and ambroxan. If they had used a different type of musk material this could have been a lovely musk but ambroxan in heavy doses like it is here always smells sharp to my nose. I would rather companies use white musk or Egyptian musk instead. It would make the compositions like this so much better. Ambroxan has its place and when used w/ a deft hand it can give character to a fragrance of the right type but now a vanilla amber musk.

tried the lotion version of this during a b&bw trip. not that remarkable; not a huge musk fan so i was not enthralled. overwhelmingly smelled like cotton or sheets combined with skin. could be good for layering though!

Yes, this is similar to Bare Sueded Vanilla and Vanilla Skin but has much more of the warm sensual base notes and a floating cloudy musk about it. I actually find it smells like warm milk, as weird as that sounds. There’s definitely something lactonic about it. This layers great with either of the other two musks(fruity and fresh) but would layer great with any perfume that could benefit from a skin musk and a milkiness that envelopes your senses. Would be great to layer with heavy colognes and scents as well. Like Nocturnal Rose, I sprayed it on a tester as I was leaving the store and when I brought it with me, I could smell warm musk mixing with it and it was quite pleasant!

This is a very pretty scent but extremely generic technically. The musky, woodsy vanilla trend is HUGE right now and thats always been one of my favorite scent types so I'm not mad..This falls exactly in that realm.. I'm sure that it's supposed to be a dupe of something because that has been BBWs M.O. for a while now.. To me it smells very very close to Vanilla Skin, but a bit less spicy/peppery and perhaps a tad sweeter. Very similar to the Bare Suede scent as well. It's similar to a ton of the popular vanilla/amber musk scents trending right now. It's pretty but nothing new.

This definitely doesn’t smell like vanilla skin at all. There’s way more warmth and depth to vanilla skin than this. This is just a very simple cozy vanilla. It’s mostly sweet with a hint of warmth. It’s fine but it’s been done a million times. This one disappeared within minutes on my skin, unfortunately. (The fresh one lasted hours with one spray on the back of my hand.. if this one would have done the same, it would have made it so much better)

Eilish is my absolute favorite fall Vanilla EVER and this is pretty spot on to Eilish on my skin and to my nose. Eilish is already a powerhouse for me but this is a nice little pick-me-up for when I still want to smell sweet but don't want to use an EDP strength. I find myself reaching for this with the matching body cream at night after showers as my nighttime scent.

Definitely cant smell anything when its on its own. However, on my skin, layered with bare sueded vanilla is get a bonfire smoky vibe. Like warm cashmere from fresh cream or Snowflakes and cashmere. Its cashmere when mixed with bare sueded vanilla on my skin and im not mad. The mist is lighter than the cream.

It's a very general scent. Some musk, a little sweet, a little amber. The notes match. It doesn't stand out to me, but if you want something inoffensive and simple, this'll be nice. Update: With further wear, there's something sharp in this I'm not a fan of. Might be the type of musk.

The spray smells similar like Sawaar/Vanilla Skin but the body cream smells like Vanilla Nude by Lancôme. This is too musky and less sweeter to smell like Eilish... I get the vanilla aspect tho.

Just tested the travel size mini perfume today. This is really pretty but also pretty weak. It smells just like VS Bare Suede Vanilla to my nose. Very pretty but light.

I have the body cream in this scent. It layers so well with Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir Rose. Both fragrances center on musk, vanilla, and amber.

A yummy and pleasant vanilla, can't go wrong with it. Would be great for layering, too. I'm reminded a lot of Vanilla Skin by Phlur.

This smells exactly like Nebras by Lattafa and Eilish!! Same powdery, dry cocoa.
