White Citrus

I really enjoy the spicy element to this strong citrus freshness of a scent. It adds a depth and a sharpness to it without making it harsh; it is soothing and somehow invigorating at the same time...and even has a slight hint of sexy playfulness to it in my opinion. The longevity is surprising, it really sticks around to a more subtle dry down with just the right amount of sillage as well. I am always asked and complimented when wearing this lovely fragrance. Edit/Update: If you enjoy layering, this is an excellent choice to use if you are a citrus fan with its potent but inoffensive scent. One of my absolute favourite "heavier" EDPs is Armoni Code for her (the purple and black ombre bottle, formerly with black lace flowers embossed on a deep blue and black ombre bottle), where it has a tangy blood orange note in it. Combining just a touch of White Citrus turns it into a lighter, more flirty feeling while bringing the stronger citrus out in it making it easily night or day appropriate. This really goes for virtually any perfume or mist I have found, whether citrus exists or not, it very much can be layered with pretty much anything in my collection and adds a lasting punch to it too, I've added the rollerball version for just this purpose. If you haven't used it to layer, I would strongly recommend giving it a try if you are a fan of White Citrus.

"White Citrus" by Bath and Body Works (BBW) has an energizing and natural grapefruit note and I enjoy that citrus working in accordance with the clean clear musk and the green notes of the lily of the valley and spicy freesia. But my oh my do I miss those rose and ginger nuances. Perhaps I'll give it a spritz again in the morning to try and discern these two scents, since I am wearing heavy hitter "Dune" at the moment by Christian Dior, so I don't want to say BBW is missing elements mentioned in the tier. It is bright hot today in my Caribbean world and "White Citrus" just made it a more refreshing place to be.

Great hot weather scent. After it settles in, I find myself saying, "something smells good" and realize it's me. The dry down is a powdery white musk to my nose. It has a longevity of about 6 hrs and it's a moderate sillage. So disappointed to know its been discontinued but that's BBW M.O.

I love citrusy fragrances but they all seem to have a longevity problem, except this one! It's by far the longest-lasting femme citrus I have, besides being a fav. The lily of the valley, ginger, and musk keep me coming back.

This reminds me of driving past the orange groves with my mom as a child. The refreshing floral scent brings a more airy spring time feel to it, but the lemon and ginger definitely give it a refreshing summer scent.

Well, this one smells like BBW Snowy Morning (it has a little sweeter note). This smells citrusy and fresh & calming.

White Citrus is quite simplistic to my nose, and I'm surprised that there are so many notes listed here. I don't detect half of these at all. I do think this befits it's name, as it does smell quite "white". It's never been orangey to me, but simply a clear (but not bitter) grapefruit, leading into clean white florals, and ending with a laundry musk scent. It only has the faintest hints of spice, but it has never struck me as gingery. It's exceedingly clean, but still has a touch of B&BW's signature sweetness throughout the wear experience. It evokes moods of 4 star hotels/spas, but *specifically* 4 stars and not 3, nor 5...because this is undoubtedly nice, but it isn't expensive smelling. Yet, it's not cheap or junky either. It's refreshing and definitely one for a relieving experience during high heat. It's also a one of those fragrances where I puzzle how anyone could have a strong negative response to, it's just so mass appealing (and unisex) that I feel that it's safe for anything from bedtime to the office 🌞 (Cross posted to other entries.)

The best word to describe this fragrance is "refreshing." I think that if it were just a pure citrus scent, it might smell a bit sour or overly tart, but the ginger and floral notes enter subtly enough to make this quite lovely and keep it from smelling like a household cleaner. Side note: this is the fragrance I always wear if I'm going to spend a whole day outside in the heat, like at a theme park - I carry it in my bag and spritz it on when I get sweaty, so that I don't stink. :)

Good citrus mix, particularly well done grapefruit note. Refreshing, easily unisex -- the floral isn't really overwhelming. The citrus notes are really the stars of the fragrance. Good for office or casual day time wear. Lasts pretty well for a primarily citrus scent 3-4 hours.

This one is good: tangy, bright citrus. Exceptionally fresh smelling. As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of citrus, I can say that this one is good after getting out the shower and you want to smell squeaky clean.

I have a vintage body mist--still half-way full! What a treasure! I revisited this mist a couple days ago--and wow! If you love citrus, musk, and white flowers...this is a great addition to any collection.

I was in need of an uplifting fragrance for the dreary weather we’re having. White Citrus is a cheerful lemon/ grapefruit and ginger fragrance that has had done the trick! Aromatherapy for me!

It smells like a dupe for Eau Jeune Senteurs Fraiches, which is not a bad thing. Try it with the lotion to last and enjoy the citrus blast from the seventies!

The freesia is a little strong for me personally, but I still enjoy this energizing scent. It's simple, clean, and pleasant.

It must be my body chemistry but this smells like stale popcorn on me. The mist, the lotions, even the body gel. It smells amazing in the bottle, but bizarre on my skin. I’ve never had such bad body chemistry with a product before. I’d advise someone to try this scent out before buying it.

I just discovered that Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Bamboo smells VERY much like Bath & Body Works White Citrus! If you can't find White Citrus, give it a try.

I hope White Citrus is never discontinued from Bath & Body Works. It’s my favorite plain citrus kind of scent. It’s not too chemical and sharp so that it smells like cleaning product. It smells like lemon juice, but less tart which is a refreshing and clean way to smell. White Citrus isn’t bitter or sour. It feels casual and relaxing. Citrus notes don’t last well, but on its own White Citrus last up to three hours in eau de toilette concentration, which isn’t good lasting power in comparison to many perfumes, but is good lasting power for such a predominantly citrus scent, and it can be layered with matching lotion as all Bath & Body Works perfumes can be. I think White Citrus is unisex and can work for all ages. I’m sure a good, maybe even better lemon scent can also be found at a niche price point but White Citrus is approximately 30-40 USD.

I love citrus and am longing for a fresh, light scent for spring. And one of my best friends in the world -- we call each other sisters -- wears this. She's always been way smarter and more mature than I am (LOL) so I was very keen to try this fragrance. Unfortunately, on me it quite sharp and a little more masculine than I like. My bff may like unisex fragrances -- I haven't seen her in years but she's very witty and practical. However, I'm much more girly so I was looking for something sweeter. Citrus and ginger are probably her style, but I was craving a bit of pear or maybe honey. Anyway, I tried the body spray on my arm and it started very lemon-zesty, quickly turning to a sharpish men's cologne. It faded fast, which in this case was a good thing. It would be excellent as a room spray.

Arguably the current most popular unisex fragrance from B&BW, White Citrus is surprisingly crisp, juicy, and lucid for an inexpensive mall scent. It's mostly grapefruit and freesia, with a very vague and faint ginger note tucked into those white-musky greens. The grapefruit is accented with lemon, but here the two notes are so similar that it's nigh impossible to discern them separately. Think of it as one big "fresh" citrus accord that someone threw together. It doesn't smell like there was a ton of work put into it, but White Citrus smells good as a year-round safe scent. If you're serious about citrus though, you're better off looking into the works of Roudnitska and Ellena, where the true depth and beauty of citrus is explored, not just the basic premise.

LOVE this scent. It's a very zesty grapefruit. At first it's bright and refreshing with a tiny hint of bitter, like a citrus rind. I try to avoid over spraying because that citrus can be sharp at first. As it dries down the citrus mellows and reveals a subtle ginger. These blend perfectly and convey a beautiful skin scent that is unisex but not marine, salty, aquatic or cologne-y. This scent is perfect on hot, humid days. It seems to cut through heavy muggy air and feels like a cold refreshing grapefruit in seltzer beverage.

This is one of a handful of scents I like from BBW. I really like this scent for spring or summer. I tend to like lemon or citrus scents, as long as they don't smell like a cleaning agent! This one is great...it is pretty basic and makes me happy!

This smells good during cold season. It is fresh and clean. But when it gets hot, the citrus can be a little loud and screechy.
