Wild Madagascar Vanilla

I bought the lotion and body mist last summer and thought it was just ok. It felt/ smelled too heavy for summer weather for me. I decided to use it today, just as the season is changing to Winter and it is lovely!! Slightly fruity, slightly spicy but it doesn't smell like food. Maybe more like amber. It sits close to the skin after a few minutes and I'm not mad about it. Anyway, now I know it's a winter scent for me ❤️

🫧 i got this during semi annual sale and i love it!! its a very sexy mature vanilla with florals and i do not like floral scents, so that really says something. it smells rich! 🫧 it also lasts a while because i could smell it lingering on my clothes for a couple hours. its definitely worth the hype! perfect for all seasons, imo

This is absolutely delicious. I never smelled the original MV, but this is very delicious. The pear tones down the syrupy sweet vanilla and gives it a more fresh sweetness to it! The body cream is great for layering.

this is nice but if you're looking for a very bakery/gourmand vanilla, this isn't it! if you can't get this on sale then just go to walmart and get whipped vanilla by bodycology lmao i swear they're practically the same fragrance--this is just a little more pear-heavy and less vanilla-y. it's lovely but i was expecting something i hadn't smelled before, and it's very light and short-lived. it's good if you want a vanilla that's clean/floral enough to be warm weather appropriate, but still cozy enough for cooler weather. overall, this is a good scent to wear whenever, wherever! nothing groundbreaking, but still lovely

This is a really nice, sexy, mature vanilla scent. It's not gourmand or cupcake-y. I love wearing it in the evening especially in the summer. I will layer it on top of literally any perfume to add a bit more vanilla! The only downside is that it barely lasts. The longevity is very poor, even for Bath and Body Works. But for $5 during Semi Annual Sale, I really can't complain, and its a nice break from my overly gourmand vanillas.

It's a youthful vanilla scent, but there's something that grounds it and makes it smell mature. Well-rounded imo. It definitely disappears in about an hour, so I'd carry it to reapply.

This is fruity, floral vanilla. It’s pretty. To me, it’s youthful. Performance is below average. But then again I have never tried a mist in the past so I am not sure if all mists are like this. I did heavily spray, but the scent went away very quickly. I think this will be very nice to layer with other vanilla fragrance that is not sweet like Guerlain’s Shalimar to soften the edges of the iconic perfume.

A departure from the original Wild Madagascar Vanilla, this one is sticky-sweet syrupy pear in a heavy style. It evokes autumn. To me, it is like a body mist version of JPG La Belle, minus La Belle's smoky undercurrent of vetiver. On its own, this is still a good mist that lasts 3-4 hours and smells attractive. Those that wanted the original scent will be disappointed; there is no rich vanilla base that lingers for hours nor gorgeous powdery sandalwood smoothness. Sadly, my appreciation for the previous version spoils the current rendition.

Yes, as soon as I sniffed it in store I was shocked it was nearly identical to whipped vanilla by bodycology. & no one made the comparison before it was re released???! I didn’t like whipped vanilla at first, so I didn’t like this one much either. But I must say, now that the summer is officially here I find this fragrance mist oddly satisfying & regret only getting one bottle. (At least whipped vanilla is always available!) it’s a perfect vanilla for summer. When you first smell it, it’s sort of hard to detect what you’re smelling. It’s a fresh, airy musky scent with pear and vanilla in the background. Something in it alto reminds me of a plain old fashioned donut 🍩 with no frosting on it, less sweet & more savory ish. I don’t know why, because by no means is this a gourmand scent. But it’s definitely unique!

This is an AMAZING exotic vanilla scent. Something people are failing to realize is that there are sooo many different types of vanilla. Madagascar Vanilla has a more exotic essence to it, and this is exactly that. It has depth from the other notes yes, but this is truly what the name is. Not everything will smell like vanilla extract and cookies.

This reminds me of JPG Scandal Le Parfum because of the vanilla and jasmine note! It’s a nice body mist option to help layer and project.

It's a nice and sexy mature vanilla but tbh it's super generic and boring. Awful performance, just like almost every B&BW mist these days

Vanilla where? This scent is honestly so disappointing.
