You're the One

There are no words to describe how much I love this perfume! I literally put more on multiple times a day because I love it so much. I just want to smell it all the time. I would shower in this stuff if I could lol. What’s very weird is that when I first smelled it I thought I hated it, it smelled like an old lady to me. I put it on anyway just to see what the dry down was like and I’m not kidding within like two hours I was like “what is this lovely smell”! it grew on me to the point where now I’m addicted to it. Pretty crazy honestly. I’ve never gone from hating something to loving it so quickly! And it doesn’t give me a headache at all, ever. I never thought I would find a perfume that I love as much as TM’s Angel, let alone a scent like this that is so totally different from it. Perhaps the biggest surprise was that it was from Bath and Bodyworks, of all places. This does not smell like it comes from a lower end shop; it smells like a high-end perfume that you would find at department store like Nordstrom. The only other BBW scent I got this addicted to has been Into The Night (which is also excellent and smells high end) but I think You’re The One is the one for me right now.

I've tested the body spray in store and can definitely smell the strawberry and rose. You get whiffs of the sweet and juicy yet artificial strawberries, rose that is prevalent enough to be detected but not to the extent of overpowering the other notes, and woodiness from the birch. It is overall one of the best scents at BBW that would probably layer really well! The overall vibes the spray gave — a seemingly delicate girl with thorns and some tricks up her sleeve. Anyway, I got the body lotion. It smells and projects slightly different from the spray. Instead, the birch is the star of the show. The delicious strawberry and rose notes are still there but the birch is much louder. It smells a tad bit more mature compared to its body spray counterpart. Would add an interesting layer to gourmand and floral fragrances. A few things that I can confirm for sure: 1)It is a head-turner. You will get compliments and/or have people ask for the name of this scent. 2)It is not too juvenile nor mature, but I can see both groups liking this scent.

Update: this has become my #1 scent from BBW; I love it. It's absolutely intoxicating and layers so well with many, many perfumes. This one never really appealed to me in the past, but BBW was having a sale on their mists so I ordered this along with a few others I will review as I form my opinions on them. (Other faves of mine from the brand: In the Stars, Almond Blossom, Dahlia, and Fireside Flurries). I chose this to wear for Valentine's Day - the bottle to me *screams* Valentine's Day and love, and of course rose HAS to be in your perfume on V day at least in my opinion. And this is it--a fruity-fresh rose! I do really like it, holds its own and lasts a heck of a lot longer than most of their mists. That said, it's still a body mist so you'll want to spray it generously on your body and then on your clothing to maximize it. I'm curious about layering this with other scents. It would be pretty with any other strawberry perfume (Burberry Her comes to mind).

This is the best scent that Bath and body Works has ever released. Honestly, I'm a body spray and body lotion junkie... I have more bottles of lotion and bottles of sprays then I can use. But I go through bottles of this like it's nothing. And that's how you know I really like something, cause I never really use up anything. This, and sensual amber. But THIS... this smells so good... I absolutely love it. Far from juvenile, and it actually has throw and staying power. This is my favorite thing to put on after I get out of the shower... Lotion myself up and spray myself with the spray. It leaves me smelling absolutely divine. The strawberry and this is very subtle, and it lends a youthful hint to the rose, but it doesn't make the scent itself fruity. It's still very much a rose forward floral. I think the birch is what keeps it from being too sweet. This scent is amazing. I don't think I'll ever stop wearing it.

I received this as a gift for Christmas from a friend (body spray, body wash, and lotion) and was shocked when it smelled familiar... had to think about it before realizing it smells almost IDENTICAL to Tocca Gia perfume. Seriously, this would be an almost exact dupe. Rose, sweet, soapy. I LOVE the Gia perfume, and was thrilled to have something that smells so similar. If I’m being honest, this smells just as good, is much more affordable, and.... it lasts incredibly long. I sprayed this on me, wore a jacket, and will continue to smell the fragrance on my jacket for days. That is amazing! Especially for a body spray to have that much power. I hope this is a staple in BBW, but I will be grabbing a lotion and spray before the season ends just in case. Buy this if you like: -Tocca Gia -Rose Jam from LUSH -Rose scents in general
