Soie de Poire

I got this for a VERY affordable price during a great sale at Macy’s, and I was genuinely shocked by how good it is. On the first spray, it almost smelled like mint to me — but it’s really that beautiful blend of tea, moss, and fig coming through. It gives a luxury spa at a high-end resort or fresh cruise ship serenity energy. So clean. So calm. VERY fresh. I’m honestly impressed with how this turned out. My only wish is that it lasted a bit longer — but it’s still lovely. I wore it to bed and could still smell it when I woke up, which made it feel extra soothing and comforting. If it were just a tiny bit stronger, this could be a total banger for a lot of people.

I just got a sample today, and whoa, immediate love. I love pear scents and this will be a wonderful addition to my collection. I don't care that it's called a women's fragrance here and elsewhere. I will be very happy to wear it. Beautiful pear perfume. I also found it on sale online, at a really great price. A bonus!

Soie de Poire by BCBG reminds me of other airy green tea fragrances, but with a beautiful touch of crisp pear that gives it a cool, fresh elegance. It feels effortless and refined, perfect for a spring day. It’s especially gorgeous on skin, where the soft fruitiness and clean tea notes create a subtle femininity without becoming sugary. The only downside is longevity, so I actually recommend spraying it on clothing to help it linger a bit longer. This fragrance also layers beautifully with other tea or fig scents. I especially love it paired with Floraïku Ao or Armani Privé Thé Yulong for a more textured tea effect. A soft jasmine like Lancôme Jasmin d’Eau adds another beautiful dimension as well. A clean, crisp fragrance with just enough fruit to give it softness and femininity.

This perfume has a strange, green, syrupy, medicinal opening to me, and then I get the pear note, and it dries down nicely to a soft, creamy skin scent. It is very light. I thought I disliked it at first, but it grew on me.

Wow this is a lot more smooth and creamy than I anticipated. Not sure how else to describe it. A sort of similar sweetness as Mojave Ghost. Based on the notes, I thought it would be warmer but it comes across as very cool to my nose. I also get a distinct minty note from this. I think I’ll try using it as a base for some other perfumes with the same notes. I tried it with The Yulong and Carioca Crush and liked the results.
