Pas Ce Soir Extrait

I don't even know where to start with this one. First of all, this is a compliment beast. I got 4 compliments today (to be fair one was a sephora employee, but we still take it). It is a dense, complex and deliciously fruity scent that is one of the most multifaceted unisex fragrances I own at the moment. The original Pas Ce Soir leaned feminine due to its floralized construction, but because this fragrance has a dense maze of patchouli at its base, the whole structure completely changes. The patchouli, plus the boatload of hedione (an intoxicating amount) combined with ambroxan and vanillin (maybe ethyl vanillin? I have no idea at this point) create what you would consider a performance monster on paper, and for the first couple hours it is. But after those couple hours, it kind of works like an Amouage scent due to the base heavy molecular weight. Basically it is inbetween an intimate and moderate sillage but lasts the whole day. There is also a good amount of coumarin and benzoin to support the vanillin and really make it shine on dry down. There is so much Aldehyde C-14 (that lactonic, peachy scent) that the sillage leans playful. But the Cashmeran comes in and creates a fuzzy vibe, which is really needed to cut a lot of the sweetness back. Cashmeran and the Hedione are what give it that fresh, modern feel. All of these factors make it lean unisex. The darkness and richness of the fragrance might be too much for some people. And if you don't like fruity scents, I heavily advise you to stay away... as far as you can. But if you are in the market for another fruity scent, that has a borderline narcotic quality to it, then this is 10/10 on your books. I love this fragrance, it has become my signature scent in such a short period of time. Its not only versatile in any season, but it smells high quality and would be very difficult to replicate due to the concentration of aroma chemicals.

I must be in the minority of people who find Pas Ce Soir Extrait simply a more intense, longer-lasting version of the original. I have no complaints about this fragrance and I honestly believe that if you like the original, there's a high chance you will like the Extrait as well. I bought a full bottle after going through a couple of decants. The original Pas Ce Soir is one of my favourite fragrances, it's unique yet easy to wear, but I can't get more than 3-4 hours wear with a moderate projection. One me, Pas Ce Soir Extrait keeps the same sparkling, fruity opening of the original all the way into the dry down. The scent is quite linear and very, very sweet, so if you're not into sweet, fruity scents, this might feel like too much for you. While the original feels light and airy, the Extrait is very sweet and dense. The longevity and projection are both outstanding compared to the original. I get 8+ hours of wear with a strong projection. This is the kind of fragrance that will get you noticed, and it will stay with you the whole day. It also feels very mass appealing, although I wouldn't put it in the same category as designer fragrances such as La Vie Est Belle or JPG La Belle, simply because on my skin, it doesn't turn into something that would remind me of a designer fragrance. It's still unique and very, very similar to the original Pas Ce Soir. If you like the original, give this one a try, it might surprise you. I didn't have high expectations when I first tried it, but it turns out on me, Pas Ce Soir Extrait is everything I wanted the original to be, with much better performance.

Pas Ce Soir parfum is in my top 3 (if not #1) for life. It’s a masterpiece. My skin sucks up fragrance, so unfortunately it doesn’t last as long on my skin. The minute I saw an extrait was happening, it was a no brainer. Ordered from BDK immediately. First off, the bottle is stunning. Deep, emerald with the classic shape and cap. But...the scent. Another 10/10 masterpiece. Smells very much like the original, but deeper. And there’s a dusting of dry cacao in the dry down. The patchouli in this is so refined. This feels so classy without feeling stuck up or old at all. I can’t believe how good it is. And it actually lasts on my skin! Obviously I’ve only had it a few days since it’s been released, but I’m so happy I have it in my collection. It’s right up there with the original Pas Ce Soir as an absolute must have for me.

A woody floral/fruity fragrance with a DNA that is intoxicating. I Iove the OG, which leans more youthful, full on fruity/sweet ( such as Erba Pura by Xerjoff) whereas the Extrait is more woody with an amplified patchouli, I don't really get the cacao. The fruity sweetness contrasted by the patchouli reminds me of the sweetness found Sekushi by Leng Ling. Also bears a ressemblance to Gyan by Bvlgari, bdk being more on the fruity side. The dry-down somehow reminds me of a less animalic Layton exclusif, even though the DNAs are completely different. Probably it's the complexity/luxuriousness of the scent that reminds me of the latter. I feel the extract is unisex, leaning a tad feminine, but the OG is full-on feminine. This smells so good that I, a bearded bald man in his late 20s, am going to wear this.

BDK Pas ce Soir Extrait is the original Pas ce Soir on steroids. If you love the original then you will absolutely adore the Extrait in my opinion. It’s the quince (combined with ginger) that makes this fragrance so appealing and addictive to my nose. Until trying the OG I had no idea how beautiful quince could be. Anyway, the extrait retains the fruity, sweet, soft and spicy, ambery, white floral aspects of the original but the patchouli and the resins from the base add some depth, contrast and longevity to the juice. A must have for anyone who loves the original and a scent with a well done quince note! Better overall than the original as far as the performance goes. Not the biggest fan of the bottle colouring for this edition, too dark for my liking, even darker than appears in pictures.

I’m not a big fan of the EDP. It’s nice enough and I own it, but I don’t chose to wear it. I certainly don’t go weak for it. This extrait, however, I’m in LOVE with! I don’t get the quince, like in the EDP. This is much more about the juicy pear. Very reminiscent to La Belle *Le Parfum version*, but much higher quality and more finesse. The dry down is an addictive, cashmere like woody vanilla with eternal longevity. This is far more refined and gratifying than La Vie Est Belle or La Belle Le Parfum. But due to the prominent pear note, will appeal to the same people. This however, does not get cloying like LVEB. As someone that loves pear and niche, there aren’t many niche fragrances that truly hilite and pronounce pear. This is a new favorite!!

hard to explain this fragrance, smells really good. has a thick texture. i will say that this fragrance is a very thick texture because its absolutely FILLED with ambroxan. this smells like really sweet juicy pear, with other fruits like the quince and peach that blend with the pear and make one really thick juicy fruit smell, but the pear is still the main fruit you smell. you get this texture from the florals in the fragrance, I notice patchouli and white florals. overall the smell is very versatile, a little bit feminine but not too much, and it sure can be a signature scent that gets compliments. you can really go too wrong with this. i wouldn't blind buy it though. might be too much for some people because of the ambroxan. 8.8/10

“More suitable for a mature lady” what are some of you kids smelling!?! This is like a niche Britney Spears fragrance. Super sweet and simple. Very pretty. I think it’s better than the original as it’s a bit deeper. It’s nice, it’s fine, definitely not ‘mature’ unless you only know celebrity fragrances and/or body sprays. I could absolutely see why it’s popular, definitely a more feminine leaning fragrance, it doesn’t quite say enough for me personally but it’s nice. Update 10/2024 I got a bottle, it’s really good actually and lasts 6+ hours on skin. Much better than the original Pas Ce Soir, it’s like the same fragrance but amped up.

mommy issues in a bottle. this smells like rich cougar, but not grandma-y or tacky at all. it's an amazingly well-blended fruitchouli, and for me to say this is a miracle because I usually hate patchouli lol it's fresh fruits, not juvenile at all, just sparkly and fresh with a dusting of cacao and depth given by the patchouli. don't let yourself be thrown off by people saying it smells like la vie est belle. I don't remember exactly what LVEB smelled like, but I remember I hated it. this is well-balanced, sophisticated and very interesting contrary to the generic LVEB. you can smell it's a good quality niche.

The opening has a very odd, plastic-like medicinal smell that eventually becomes a stronger version of Pas Ce Soir. I really wish he would make his others a full perfume concentration from the get-go. The original is what I prefer. EDIT: 8.19.23 WHOA wait a minute! I know better than to not let a high quality perfume macerate before I formulate my opinion. It needed a couple of weeks, and the opening smell was mellowed out, and replaced with a gorgeous niche-version of La Vie Est Belle. I immediately bought a full bottle after giving it another go. LOVE LOVE LOVE and it lasts a long time-- like 3 days!

The price is fantastic. You can score it for around 200$ for 100 ml. It lasts all day and has huge projection. People are sticklers now, I remember how nice and thoughtful everyone was in 2019-2020 *COUGH* wonder why.. Anyway. Patchouli. Fruits. Amber. The amber and Patchouli are nuclear, giving a heavy yet playful base. This is more feminine, id almost say this is for ladies. Flamboyant, fun, sexy.. not sure how to dress this though. It's more of a sheer green top (or sundress in it's case 🤭) performs well in high heat. I think it's a 2 spray max, sheer dress kind of scent. Dress upper casual!

This fragrance is complex, and it starts of spicy and very ginger and pepper forward. But then a quince and chocolate and creamy patchouli comes in with a fruity hint maybe slight peach it’s smooth and sweet very smooth feels like suede. And then the utter dry down is vanilla and still these creamy vanilla/cocoa with the cashmere and quince. It’s an addictive and creamy. This takes you on a smooth refined journey and its beast mode. This is more feminine in the mid and dry down. The opening is unisex. I love this. Quickly became a full bottle.

I haven't had the chance to smell the EDP but the Extrait has my head spinning. It's such an intoxicating, a bit smokey and slightly herbal, fruit-bomb with very prominent Quince and Pear notes, that I got stopped by quite a few people to ask me what I was wearing. After over 10 hours of testing it on my skin, the scent hasn't died down at all but it somehow feels even stronger; not much of a note change as well, smells exactly the same way as when I first sprayed it on. This is for sure a personal favourite! Rating: 9/10;

I bought a sample of the original PCS a few years and thought it was ok but didn't think it full bottle worthy. But PCS Extrait...wow. This just works with my chemistry. You smell the original but it gets deeper, richer, more luxurious. If you do not like patchouli you probably will not like this. I see many comparisons to LVEB. I have smelled LVEB many times but it never moved me to want to purchase a full bottle and I can not remember what it smells like. I needed this though. Not a safe blind buy. Sample first.

I saw reviews from Demi on the new release of Pas Ce Soir Extrait and immediately purchased it online. I’ve tried it on for two days and I’m pleased I have held back from buying the OG as the OG lasted only 4 hours on my skin while the new extrait lasted 8 hours. Quince is still front and centre to this fragrance like the OG but then there’s more complexity with a prominent woody and creamy (probably due to the addition of vanilla) and slight nutty (added cacao) undertone to the white floral and fruity centre.

It is practically identical to the original especially in drydown. The main differences between the two is that the Extract is slightly spicier and woodier, especially in the opening. Ambroxant is present at the beginning, as are benzoin and patchouli. Really pretty perfume, I love it. It is fruity and sweet. I'm sensitive to lambroxant sometimes, but in this perfume it adds a nice touch, which makes it better vs the original. I just discovered BDK perumes and I really enjoy this house.

I own the og of this but fancied giving this one a try as well so got a decant of it. It’s also gorgeous I think it’s my favourite from this house. It’s long lasting and different enough from other fragrances on the market to be signature scent worthy. It’s sweet from the fruit notes but not too pear or peach which can be sweet for me. They are balanced by the floral and vanilla. It’s not a scent for a hot sunny day but it is a going out out fragrance or cooler weather.

I used to have OG and it was one of compliment getters, I only felt that OG had no magical as that scent was quite flat more like a single note maybe just on my skin. This extract version has a story and it changed middle to last, but it still had the top note which is the sweetest note but getting more moderately on my skin. I somehow tried this in a hot weather and it could work, so I probably already be addicted to this kind of tortoiseshell-candy-ish sweetness.

I sprayed this on this morning and can still smell it on my skin beautifully here, now at 10pm. My male colleague loved it and my wife said I smelled soo good when I walked in the door tonight. It is a beautiful scent with all the notes hitting throughout the journey - a slightly floral, fruity ginger and quince with cacao patchouli vanilla and ambroxan. This is for men and women .. not boys and girls ... and the bottle is damned sexy too!

Used this site for years—never left a review but I had to leave some words about this. Unbelievable scent. So much depth, obviously very similar to the original but more masculine with more going on. Fruity yet dark & vibrant at the same time. Pick up lots of ginger jasmine pear & patchouli. If you want to smell like no one else then this is the one. Daily, summer, date, errands. This is it bdk have nailed this one for me

this fragrance is overhated imo, this smells wonderful! great quince & floral based scent with alot of fruitiness, spicy & ambery touches. light enough to wear in warmer situations but also works in colder situations. the quince in this sort of reminds me of via cavour 1 from xerjoff which i think is amazing too. also, i think this is blended nicely & performs pretty well too on my skin, sample first yall! 10/10

asked lady that works at the Harvey Norman what the closest thing to aveenos body oil spray was and she handed me this! it's fairly close, a bit fresher and orangier and lacks a nutty creaminess but i love it, though its a bit pricy considering the fact that aveenos body spray is £10. my ex husbant used to love how it smells, thought eventually it made all my bedding and clothes smell like jojoba oil lol

It has a cozy, wool-like feeling that immediately reminded me of Chanel Le Lion. I first thought I smelled oud, but it's likely the blend of cashmeran, ambroxan and patchouli creating that rich woody warmth. A constant hint of pear and vanilla adds sweetness, making it lean slightly feminine while remaining comfortably unisex. Beautiful, comforting and perfect for autumn and winter evenings

I have to agree with @razorbrown. On my skin, this is giving TF BItter Peach but less scratchy and much smoother. I find this to be such an elevated, mature (but definitely not "old lady"), and distinct. My nose really gets the juicy peach, spicy ginger, zesty mandarin, and earthy patchouli. The patchouli in this starts off very grounded and softens as it dries down. It's a LOVE for me!

Beautiful. At first spray I wasn't too sure, but when it dries down it's amazing. I find it really similar to the original, the Extrait is indeed sweeter and deeper but you definitely smell the DNA. And I'm happy for that since that means I don't necessarily have to buy the Extrait since I can't really afford it. I will definitely enjoy my small sample.

I will never stop harping on about this fragrance. Perfect summer signature scent, it’s so deep and addictive. Burst of fruits from that pear & quince but because of the florals & that ginger benzoin & cacao it gives it depth and makes it sexy & inviting. Isn’t super feminine like the EDP, this is seriously unique juice. Pretty nuclear too.

More female. Absolutely stunning. As a man, I love this, and wear it very lightly. This scents dry down is more unisex and earthy. I tend to spray 3 times, amd relatively further then normal from skin, it dries down more calm and still has that extrait power. This stuff is almost NUCLEAR performance.

I have just one word to describe this fragrance: ADDICTIVE It is is so beautifully blended. The cloud this stuff makes around you is intoxicating. I sprayed this on me in a perfume shop and had people on the sidewalk asking me what I was wearing. I was hooked. Full bottle worthy.

Macerated overriped tropical fruts for me but not as sickly sweet as Byredo's Pulp as you can still make a cocktail or smoothie with these fruits. If it's so warm and embodying on me in March where it's cold and sometimes rainy, I'm hesitant to test this out in the summer.

Based on some of these reviews I thought this version would be very different from the original....Honestly the difference is very minimal that there’s almost none. It smells like the original but stronger. I really enjoy this fragrance!

Oh my, this is so good. A perfect mix of fruits and patchouli. I much prefer this to the original because of the intensity and longevity. This gives me 8+ hours with only a couple of sprays. Love it, especially for spring/summer months.

Borderline nuclear performance. Leans fem. Absolutely delightful, VERY sweet but also very patchouli and dark. This is a good scent for a playful goth girl xD but I still absolutely enjoy one or two sprays every few weeks

This is the most intoxicating pear I've ever smelled. Tho it's towards feminine side I wore it and enjoyed every minute a of it. Long lasting beautiful gentle pear dominating fragrance.

I have so much love for this perfume. I got this as a gift. I get so much compliments. Lasts 7 on skin and good 24 hours on clothes. Beautiful fruity, sweet perfume.

Smells like a gummy bear, it's gelatinous and slightly feminine. Smell: 9.1/10 Performance: 6.9/10 Bottle/Atomiser: 8/10 Overall: 8.6/10 - Very Good.

Love it, addictive, compliment getter, but the price point is painful 😬 The cheaper alternative is L’Interdit Intense, lots of similarities!

I loved this fragrance until my mom says this smells cheap, and "al harmain amber oud vibe" I trust her nose.

The sound of heels resonates in the dark streets of Paris, a running, the laughing of two girls who slowly disappear. Only their perfume stays in the air. A strong, unique, decisive scent. Pas ce Soir is one of those fragrances with a great personality, opening juicy and citrusy, then turning slightly sour, thanks to the bitter cocoa, which on my skin takes a starring place, surrounded by unsweet fruity notes. A velvety peach, slightly honeyed quince and the distinctive aroma of orange blossom make this a powerful but at the same time classy creation. The performance is very high, I see it appropriate for late spring or summer evenings, where you smell that air of freedom, where the perfumes are amplified, and pas ce soir becomes a wonderful symbol of strength and determination. Absolutely Unisex, it gives incredible appeal to the woman who wears it. “Two women running on the beach” painted by Pablo Picasso.

Received mine today! I love it I do like the original too. This one is sweeter and somewhat heavier. I get lots of fruitiness on my skin mixed with the patchouli. Lovely pear amazing quince, a bit of peachiness, and on my skin also really prominent jasmin. I don’t get any cocoa or pepper. It’s fresh and fruity but also heavy and dense I don’t know how to explain it. Projects really good on me. I get why people compare it to bitter peach by tom ford. They are not the same but there is something about it that gives me the same vibe. At the start it somehow also gives me the vibe from l’intentrit by givenchy and black orchid again from tom ford. They are by no means the same but it has this dence heavy fruity vibe. I do like it and it’s a keeper for me!

Very fun and fruity but it might be too sweet for me. Edit: I’ve been giving this fragrance another chance and when I wear it on my skin, the patchouli, benzoin and the warmer, spicier, almost woody characteristics of the ginger come out really strongly in a way they never do on a tester strip. It tempers the fruity sweet opening really beautifully and makes for a really alluring and inviting blend. If this sounds like a fragrance you’d like but it smells too fruity or sweet for you on paper, I urge you to test it on skin before giving up on it.

Very strong sweet quince fruit flesh with caramelised pear and tangy nose piercing ginger. Something in here is giving me a nutty quality too but I'm not sure where that's coming from. Im getting very light fresh white florals but I would say this is predominantly a fruity perfume. Smelling this gives me the same sensation I get from eating a sour candy - zingy and tangy! Projection and longevity are amazing. I think this scent would be great for a summer night. I don't think it's blind buy safe so definitely try to sample before you purchase.

Its alright, other comments hyped it up a lot for me but honestly it was just a jumbled mess of syrupy fruit juice. Not much depth and not particularly unique either. Just a bunch of fruits and that's all i get. Lasts a while and objectively smells good. Just not for me and especially not for the price. Pretty boring just really sweet and fruity. Cant compare to the og because i havent tried it. But, with that being said, smell is subjective and comes down to opinion. Buy a sample, try it for yourself. Maybe it will be your favorite.

Pas Ce Soir Extrait is like if you took a fruitchouli and bumped it up a notch with more dark spices, and more tropical notes. I regret not getting a sample of the original, because the extrait leans a little too heavy for me, but it is an intriguing profile with juicy pear, tart kumquat-like notes, and soft peach, all dusted with cacao, ginger and black pepper. There's a strong jasmine and orange blossom throughline, but the drydown is much more musky and resinous. Definitely a hot girl summer scent, but not for the faint of heart!

Received it today, on initial spray I wasn’t sure but it’s lovely as it starts to dry down. I was a little scared it would be too similar to Madawi but this a sweeter with the pear and peach and so much smoother. It will be interesting to test the sillage and projection. The patchouli gives it depth and stops it being juvenile, it’s not a dirty patchouli, phew. When fragrances are particularly smooth they don’t tend to cut through the air or as be apparent on myself so it will be interesting to see how it’s gauged by others.

-Love the way it smells in the scent trail. It’s a fresh sophisticated mildly spicy fruity frag. It gets a little heavier on the dry down as the cacao shines through. -Hate it directly on my skin. The ambroxin, pepper & ginger make it smell very menthol forward. Kindof weird that it's so different (skin vs. air) When i get wafts of it, I really like it. It reminds me of a pretty girl who doesn't try too hard. But I also know that I could find something that does the trick for way le$$.
