Stellar Silk

I was on the hunt for something new for the cooler weather so I bought a tester for this and was not impressed at first... until about 45 minutes to an hour went by and this transformed into the most heavenly creamy sophisticated woody vanilla. I couldn’t stop smelling my hand. I immediately ordered a 100ml bottle, yes it was expensive but I have no regrets. It’s been a while since I had that reaction to a fragrance. The dry down is unbelievable. I get excellent longevity 10+ hours on skin, projection seems to be more on the more moderate side but I haven’t had a chance to really put it to the test. I don’t plan on wearing this out until the weather cools down a little more. Unbelievably excited to break this one out on a cool night out.

Hands down 10/10 BDK best Vanilla ever made ! Incredible. Complex, silky, spicy , buttery, spicy, clean...now make it make sense to see these attributes in the same sentence I was blown away, i love this. A success and the best ( and only one i love ) of the house for me together with Charnel Gris Extrait , but this beats it. Absolute masterpiece on any woman or man. Can you tell i'm way beyond excited about this ? i cannot for the love of god put this down, this has not happened in a while to me with perfumes ( let alone BDK, sorry ). It's magnetic and clean and sweet..all the same time ! Stellar Silk is literally the perfect name. It's strong and unique and bold to be "Stellar" but also smooth to be literal silk. woof drooling.

My sales associate introduced me to this fragrance today and I was absolutely floored upon first sniff. I haven't felt this way smelling a perfume in a while and it reminded me of how I felt when I first started getting into niche scents. It is buttery, sweet, smooth and creamy vanilla that has reignited something inside of me again. It feels incredibly complex but clean at the same time. Nuclear projection and incredibly long lasting, I think you can keep it at 2-3 sprays to last you all day without overwhelming everyone around you. I would pick this one up as soon as it hits discounters!

Smooth slight spice opening with ginger, cinnamon but becomes extremely linear afterwards of vanilla sandalwood. Nothing breakthrough or new in terms of profile, reminds me of Gris Charnel without the cardamom except one spray will fill a room and stay for 12+hrs. Sandalwood is not the most mass appealing, coupled with the longevity and sillage I would be very sparing with the sprays or you’re going to be that person. I think if I’m using this I’m actually keeping it to one spray total and layering with something else.

It reminds me of why I love Gris Charnel, not because they smell alike b/c they don't but they give me the same feeling. Both are smooth, comforting, and sophisticated without trying to hard. Stellar Silk just tells that story through vanilla instead of tea and woods. It's still going strong since 1:00 pm today and a lot of sweating and being outside. Smells plush, smooth, and comforting. It's vanilla but not cupcake or bakery kind. It's more of a creamy, airy vanilla wrapped in soft musk. 8.5/10

This is sooooo good. So smooth, so elegant, so sexy, so comforting. I love it. My wife loves it. My daughter loves it. Perhaps slightly feminine leaning, but as a man, I am wearing it effortlessly. Longevity is excellent. I don’t get the strong projection/sillage a few people are describing. It is definitely my favorite of the three new extraits. Silver Ceremony and the Oud one are ... ok. But Stellar Silk is just lovely 🥰. 10/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.45 from me.

Just WOW!! Gorgeous blended tonka perfume, elegantly sweet and powdery vanilla! Jordi Fernandez is on a roll with this one and Ambre Latte Essential Perfumes - new type of gourmand moderately sweet...Recommend!

Idk if it’s only me but this is sooooooo similar to kayali vanilla oudgasm like super super similar i sprayed both on my arms and kept sniffing and it’s just so similar Bdk is a woodier

To me, it does not remind me of Gris charnel at all. Imagine a cascade of velvety vanilla and butter flowing like a fountain over delicate wood shavings

Best vanilla scent ever - smooth, addictive but not overly sweet. New favourite.

Wasn't expecting much from the name tbh — sounded like it could go either way. Turned out to be one of the better surprises from this new BDK trilogy. Opens with cardamom, a little spicy and sharp for the first few minutes, then melts into a warm creamy sandalwood that genuinely feels like skin rather than perfume. Iris underneath adds depth without going powdery. Dry-down is mostly vanilla and white musk — soft, close, intimate. This isn't loud and isn't trying to be. Projection stays close to skin, longevity is solid (7-8 hours), and the whole thing reads more personal than statement-making. If you want something that announces itself, skip this one. Of the three Absolu releases, Stellar Silk is the warmest and most wearable for daily use — Oud Paradisio is darker and bolder, Silver Ceremony sits in between. Just tried all 3 at Harrods. This is the one that stood out to me. It’s warm, creamy, woodsy and sweet with a dash of spices. It has that dry sweet quality to it but smooth (almost coconut-y). And with time it gets somewhat denser/heavier. I like the first hour of wear the most. As it develops it gets thicker and more resinous, and I feel like it goes from something like Caban by YSL which I adore to sweet darkness from Superz which I don’t love. I also can see a slight resemblance to Zafeer Oud Vanille. None I mentioned is super similar to this but if you know how they smell you’ll get the vibes. Oh and it’s very long lasting and loud. The price was around 300/340GBP or something. I’d give it a 7,5/10

Stellar Silk from BDK Parfums by Perfumer Jordi Fernández is an elite vanilla fragrance. I have not experienced a vanilla fragrance this decadent. Imagine a warm bourbon vanilla in a saucepot of melted fresh churned butter with an added creaminess from the orris and a resinous facet that emulsifies everything together. It's not sickly sweet at all but balanced with savory nuances from the orris butter note. This is truly an artistic vanilla fragrance.

That is a powerhouse, super strong beginning, my nose hurts. Half spray is more than enough 😬 At the beginning i am so confused about notes, cause i feel like oud smell, i donxt get any ginger or cinamon. It reminds me Vanille leather + oud... But after 1-2 hours scent softens and all the beauty comes out and after onother 3-4 hours softer vanilla and sandalwood left, it is amazing.

I can’t deny it—it keeps drawing me back for another sniff. I can genuinely detect the buttery nuance, and it gives the fragrance an incredibly smooth, creamy texture. That said, I’d rather choose something more gourmand or more iris-focused, such as Tonka Hysteria. So, for me, it’s unnecessary. Still, I’m confident that most people who smell it will find it very appealing.

If you like orris butter, Stellar Silk is the definitive orris butter fragrance to get. Typically this scent profile is poor performing or the orris note gets overwhelmed. Not in this. This stands out among other vanilla gourmands.

If creamy was a scent, this would be it. It develops in a beautiful and complex way throughout the day. A bit too “sunscreeny” for me.

Buttery, coconut, creamy sandalwood.

It’s okay but not for me. Not my style and is too masculine. Nice smooth sandalwood, kinda sweet, resinous. I don’t see coconut as a note but I get coconut. Can’t speak to longevity or projection since I didn’t wear it on skin.

Just received this from a perfume shop in France. Sprayed on paper first, and wow. The Iso E Super is sharp and strong to my nose. I thought at first that it was Ambroxan which I always notice straight away in a fragrance and typically cannot stand. But, after researching the fragrance, Ambroxan is not the amber-woody aromachemical used, but rather ISO E Super. I bought this blind as based on the notes, it sounded like a slam dunk. Unfortunately, the sharp and dense ISO E has already ruined it for me. Selling in the USA on Merc.

I found the opening of this really quite challenging. It reminds me of furniture polish in the opening. I enjoyed the far dry down of comforting sandalwood, but struggle to get past the first hour of this. Too much for me.

I really hate to say this but...the audacity is maddening. If you can’t afford this buy Initio sugar blast, if you can’t afford Initio sugar blast buy Eilish by Billy Eilish. Literally a redundant fragrance ad nauseam. Save your money for a masterpiece imho.

Y obviamente el Oud Paradiso sí que será una sorpresa y me asusta , pero con BDK nunca nada puede salir mal . Creo y hablo por mi , nadie me paga , me compro mis perfumes sola y esto es completamente honesto y mi punto de vista . Para mí BDK es una de las mejores casas de perfumes junto con a Maison Crivelli , no se equivoca nunca . Crean joyas olfativas y para muestra un botón con IMPADIA , voy por mi tercer pote y bolsillo permitiendo jamás saldrá de mi colección . Ahora bien de ese trío el que menos llama ni atención y solo pediré una muestra de él es Silver Ceremony , ya veremos cuando pueda comprarlos aquí en EE.UU , y pueda pedir la muestra de este último ... capaz y sea el que más me guste y el que me sorprenda en positivo . Pero los otros dos se y estoy segura que me van a gustar y que los voy a amar . Así que ya quiero que sea 18 de Mayo y ya quiero que puedan estar disponibles en mi perfumería de confianzas para poder comprarlos . Amo con locura BDK .... Amo sus joyas ! Amoo todo de esta casa. This is beautiful but very similar in my opinion to Beurre de Santal from Sensatio. (I'm in love with that one, one of the best purchases of 2026 for me). The difference is Stellar Silk has a more spicy opening and the ginger here gives it a little extra kick but the base and dry down are very similar. 20 mins in they smell very similar to me. I am comparing them side by side. It would be redundant for me to get a full bottle. I got a couple samples that I will enjoy in the winter time. This is def a cold weather/ evening fragrance. Very unisex and would smell fabulous on a guy as well in the late fall/winter time.

I tested the whole collection today and wasn't impressed by any of them. At this point, it feels like every brand is either hiring Jordi Fernández or Quentin Bisch, and everything is starting to smell like a variation of the same idea. These perfumers seem to spend more time reheating their past successes than creating anything genuinely new. What surprises me most is that this has become acceptable at this price point. When you're charging luxury prices, the least you can offer is the illusion of creative ambition.

Solar vanilla & sandalwood, almost nothing else. Very woody on-skin, uses the sandalwood from Gris Charnel. I would comp it to Matiere's Vanilla Powder and relative to VP, the blending here is superior by a wide margin. Nonetheless, I struggle to find value at €340/100ml, even if the performance seems pretty strong. It's just very one-dimensional. Strongly disagree on comps to Encens Suave as the spices in Stellar Silk are tame & the scent is primarily sweet-creamy-woody-gourmand, not spicy-resinous.

How are we supposed to know just how "premium" the Bourbon vanilla is? Perfumers and fragrance houses seem to think they'd keel over if they dared release something without a generous helping of tonka bean. And because why stop there, they've lobbed in a hefty dose of benzoin too. The end result? Everyone walking around smelling like a jar of preserves. Just like the beard craze, this obsession with ultra-sweet fragrances has been dragging on for the past twenty years. It's getting rather tiresome.

Sweet potent vanilla resin that sometimes smells like sweet tar. The silky tar like resin accord is really compelling and sultry on the skin. Unisex and indulgent without being too gourmand. I don’t know if this scent has been done before or not, but here it’s definitely done right. This isn’t exactly like Initio Sugar Blast, this is different and superior in too many ways.

Creamy sandalwood, buttery non sweet scent, I heard a lot of people or really like it or really dislike it, some can't smell the butter/iris note, y think is the main protagonist on here, definitely not a gourmand fragrance. Is a BEAST, is one of this scents that comes inside of the room before you, I really love it but I can definitely understand why people don't like it

Hands down the best new gourmand I've smelled all year. It reminds me of a mix of haute montagne from moncler and commodity gold, but at the same time it's sooo much better. This smells very buttery without being cloying, heavy of greasy. This perfume has a very finely milled powderiness. It's not sugary sweet, but instead gently spiced.

Of first sniff I get similarities to Vanilla sex and black tie, with a slight spicy ginger adding both warmth and freshness in unison. Will come back to this after a few hours or so to give an in depth review

Jesus christ this is INSANELY strong. All 3 are strong but this one is on another LEVEL. Nice scent profile too. I find it a bit too saccharine and cloying but maybe 1 or 2 sprays should do the trick!

High quality and beautiful but not unique at all , its mostly santal and benzoin Orris is adding some "dusty" feel to the warm buttery concoction. Its a pleasant scent but overdone at this point

Nuclear, heavy-handed, sweet iris/tonka. Lasts forever. Heavy and linear like Vanille Leather (just way more nuclear).

Yep, this is most definitely THE Vanilla fragrance of 2026! Sweet, creamy, sensual. A bloody good coconut vanilla!

Up close it makes quite sharp and strong almost oudy. In the air it’s the most delicious buttery creamy vanilla.

Sorry but this is just Gris charnel edp repackaged to my nose 😭
