Tubéreuse Impériale

I like a variety of perfumes but never considered myself a liver of orientals, usually too spicy for me. I tend to prefer white florals and juicy gourmand numbers if they have an interesting composition. This one is very lovely, especially since it’s an oriental. Had I read the list alone, I probably would never be interested, other than the florals in it. It sits close and soft on my skin. It’s warm and very creamy, it does smell like a soft caress, with a teeniest hint of spicy bright like pepper, but just the faintest hint...so I think this is the cashmeran, which I’ve never really encountered before. The spray on my arm is quite different to the spray on my chest under my jumper. I don’t know the difference between tuberose and rose, I suspect tuberose is more green, but I won’t comment on it since I don’t know. What I do detect is a Soft version of rose similar to Stella, but I can’t wear my Stella anymore as it seems brash and hits me in the face, where as the rose here is so subtle and blended. The Imperial name suits perfectly, as it reminds me of some older time, like a rococo manor house. I get a creamy soapy ylang ylang and gently sweet sense of purple which I think is the iris and jasmine. I get a very slight hint of green, especially when I first sprayed but lost pretty quickly, the geranium. Also, I think this would be a very sexy scent on a man. It’s so warm but sweet it is unisex enough not to be too feminine. It reminds me of MFK feminine pluriel, but turned way way down, like an evening version, because of the purple aspect. Fem pour is very bright and green. It also reminds me of Isabel fleur nocturne, the powdery soft and alluring evening vibe. It’s wellblended and lovely. I would wear as a daily or date night. But my special occasion would still be mfk baccarat rouge for drama. This has no drama, just elegant, understated beauty,

It’s the scent of a woman walking through dappled light in a silk dress, her laughter caught somewhere between mystery and joy. It lingers like a memory that refuses to fade, tender yet powerful. For me, it’s become more than a perfume — it feels like a signature. A blend of grace, warmth, and quiet seduction. A scent that says: I’ve been here before, but never quite like this.

I personally am not a big fan of floral fragrances for men and I find them more feminine. But this fragrance does not have the sweetness of feminine floral fragrances and I get a relaxing floral scent from this fragrance. It feels like that you are spraying a flag of peace and reconciliation (white flag) from the bottle onto your body. I think this fragrance can be very effective for times when you are stressed and feeling negative, and this perfume make you get calming fast. An interesting use that I found for this fragrance is when sleeping. WoW...after owning and/or sampling a few BDK Perfumes, I was reluctant to try "Tubereuse Imperiale." But try it I did. And surprisingly, I really really like the fragrance! Not much to add about Tubereuse Imperiale except to say I find the fragrance unusual and different from many of the other tuberose-centric fragrances I've recently owned, sampled, or currently own. The tuberose note in Tubereuse Imperiale is slightly sweet, minimally indolic, a bit green and extremely pleasant. The tuberose in this perfume seems like tuberose "done right." The floral notes never feel thick, dense, overly-buttery, or super-chewy. I rarely (if ever) experience the bubble-gum vibe so many others experience with tuberose fragrances. What strikes me most about this fragrance is the perfect balance of sweet white florals, gentle earthy green-ness and a lovely dry-down of sandalwood and suede. After feeling uncertain, I decided to spring for a full bottle of BDK Tubereuse Imperiale. Overall, this is a beautiful fragrance. I love it!

Oh my...I got a sample of this and fell in love! It is so sexy. To me it's not overly feminine and could be unisex. I've heard people say that tuberose can turn bubble gummy, meh ok. I'm here for whatever it turns into. I love the first spray and the dry down of this one. That is generally not the case for me. One of my favorite fragrances is Initio's Atomic Rose and initially I felt I hated it when I was new into fragrances and that dry down hit. Now I love it and basically ignore the first spray because the top notes won't last long. This one is my second favorite one from this house so far. My fav being Rouge Smoking. But I haven't smelled RS since the spring. To me RS is a spring / summer scent. I would say that this one can be an all-season scent. It's light enough on my skin for spring and fall but close enough to the skin for winter. I'm not sure if it will suffocate in summer. We will see. On my skin this is sexy, melt the snow sexy baby.....now to see if my man thinks the same.

To me this is a great tuberose scent. It’s not animatic yet it still has a lot of deepness from all the base notes which are very prominent to me. The smokiness is very noticeable to me, and I’m surprised that more people didn’t pick up on it. It reminds me a bit of By the Fireplace, although they are totally different scents and By the Fireplace is much smokier. I can see how it could be compared to Delina Exclusif, which I love and also has that woody-incense-y thing going on in the background, but this one has less vanilla and more smoke to me. It’s not a very sweet scent. It’s polite and not heavy or overpowering. It’s not at all like Amouage Love Tuberose except neither are animalic. It is sort of creamy but it doesn’t smell like whipped cream, it’s more that it’s not a harsh or sharp scent like so many white floral fragrances can be. It’s definitely more suited to cooler weather. I can see myself reaching for this a lot in the fall and winter.

I got a 10 ml of this last year and instantly fell in love. Everything about it made me salivate and roll my eyes back every time. Long story short this was super expensive on every website I looked. After reading some reviews I found that a lot of people had dupes for this. I stupidly tried almost all of them. And they were not much cheaper than this. One was even more expensive. I would go back to my 10 ml every now and again and every time I float a little with every whiff. It’s so good and gets better and sweeter the longer I have it on. I adore the spicy opening and the bubble gummy mid is just to die for m. The rich and lucious dry down is 10/10 I just have no complaints with this. 10/10 on all the marks just wonderful and yes ladies and gentlemen it is worth the price tag! I learned that the hard way.

Bubblegum, sweet tuberose! My dream tuberose scent. I tend to steer away from white florals as they usually overwhelm me, and they usually smell dated to me. However, that's not the case with this one. This is sweet but doesn't cause a toothache. She is delicate and has hints of tropical vibes (must be that ylang-ylang). It's not listed in the notes, but I get the slightest hint of a creamy and delicate coconut smell. This along with the vanilla note is just *chef’s kiss* for me. It is such a smooth scent. It almost feels like I have a bouquet of tuberose in front of me. Effortless and timeless. Any age can wear this. Simply gorgeous. I feel so pretty and feminine when I wear this! Nothing is perfect, though. I wish it lasted longer on my skin. It lasts maybe 4-5 hours. But it does last more on clothes!

A creamy and buttery tuberose scent with a bright tropical ylang-ylang and touch of a herbal note from the Willow Herb. I know tuberose is supposed to be sensual but I really don’t get that from Tuberose Imperial. I find this to be refined and elegant because there is something vintage smelling in the base. This perfume makes me think of a classy 1950’s housewife, but she lives in hot and humid Miami. Projection and longevity is moderate. This is not an aggressive or indolic white floral, and is not something that will fill a room. I do not pickup bubblegum, but I never get bubblegum from Tuberose so take that with a grain a salt. An overall 8/10 fragrance for me. Try it layered with Quai’s St. Bartz to add a layer of oceanic freshness, this combo smells very luxurious and expensive.

I love Tubereuse scents. This one is so different from the Dior Poison and Georgio of Beverly Hills, I grew up with. It goes flowery sweet instead of going candy syrupy like Poison or evaporating on a colder greener note like Georgio does. It is bright like a Sunflower and lasts a long time. Next to Tubereuse Astral - which is warm spicy by comparison (Also adore that one), I love this Imperial's floral freshness with a sweet fruityness without going into cold, clean, green, bitter notes or warm spice territory. It stays near the flowers & fruit, it doesn't leave, but isn't a one note composition either. It stays a strong sweet multi-layered flower & fruit without being overpowering as it decrescendos to nienté, leaving me wanting more...

I love everything about this perfume. Creamy and sweet but not cloying. Have only used it over the winter but I imagine it being perfect for me all year round. Performs well and people around me love it, inviting and addicting. The notes differ slightly where I purchased mine, addition of pink peppercorn and no mention of rosebay willowherb. (EDIT: I think rosebay willowherb was a mistranslation, baie rose translates to pink peppercorn) Head: Pink Peppercorn. Egyptian Geranium. Heart: Indian Tuberose. Comoros Ylang Ylang. Jasmine Sambac. Iris. Egyptian Jasmine. Base: Cashmeran. Sandalwood. Somali Incense. Madagascan Vanilla. Singapore Patchouli. Sumatran Benzoin. Cypress.

I left a review years ago and I’m back. I just bought a new bottle & either I’m going crazy or BDK has changed the bottle cap and atomizer collar??? My old bottle has a more matte finish on the cap and its atomizer collars a champagne matte gold color. The new bottle I received has a shiny gold cap and shiny gold atomizer collar? Also I’m noticing the new bottle has a slightly different scent. It’s less sweet and dense. More light and airy with a slight greenness? It does smell relatively the same but I notice a difference!! I must be going mad. Anyone else notice these differences? Ugh. Why ruin a good thing :(

This one is nice...Really nice. Tuberose here is very young, very green, one of the best tuberoses I have tried. It is very very strong, like every tuberose scent, but unlike others it is very safe one. For women in their 20s-30s: when you are mature enough to smell this chic but still very young and playful. I cannot distinguish much notes here: for my nose it is pretty good blended, very powderly-butterly-floral-tuberosy rich perfume. This actually smells rich, perfect for winter and autumn for every day. Like a gold in a bottle. One woman literally followed me to ask what perfume I am wearing.

I don't like tuberose, I find it too carnal, there is a however: if it is stripped of its more narcotic vibes, it becomes very pleasant for me. And here we have one of those tuberoses that I love: green, flowery, creamy and clean. She's very delicate, like a girl who walks around trying not to get noticed, but knowing she's the most beautiful. Dressed in an ordinary way, so as not to be noticed, but fails, as it is impossible not to. A light, ethereal fragrance that perfectly frames our femininity with a touch of elegance. She is the woman portrayed in Millais' "Portrait of a Girl".

Absolutely beautiful! This is bubblegum-y sweet, warm, a bit smokey and delicious. The white florals in here are never indolic which I love and they never get old fashioned or screechy. It definitely shares a similar profile as Pas Ce Soir which is lighter, less vanillic and dense and shines through its top notes. What I like the most in this case is the substance and depth of the dry down that make Tubereuse Imperiale last all day long. After 8+ hours it still remains intoxicating and inviting, a characteristic that makes it full bottle worthy for me.

A Tuberose bomb! Tuberose is my favorite floral in a fragrance. I love the creaminess it gives off, almost bubblegummy. This is no exception, I do get the tuberose and the yellow floral and nothing else! That is all that comes out on my skin. Tuberose Imperial lasts forever! Sillage is excellent. This would be a great wedding day scent or garden party luncheon. I believe this can be worn day or night. Also unisex in my opinion. I love that a fragrance with this price tag has such a projection and sillage. Highly recommended 10/10

I love tuberose and my go to has been Armani’s My Way but BDK blew that out the water. I get similar vibes to My Way, however Tuberose Imperial is so much smoother. They both have that bubblegumy grape vibe. My way veers towards a sweeter candied opening & BDK has a fruitier creamier opening. My was ends with a Ambrox heavy floral musk and BDK ends with a smooth creamy sweet floral vibe. It’s not as harsh as My Way. Tuberose Imperial takes the crown on this one. It’s all together more refined and elegant. Luvs it <3

Ok I am glad to see I am not the only person who was immediately taken back to the first release of Poison by Dior. I sprayed this and literally I was back at the Nordstrom perfume counter trying to spray myself down before the cashier caught me (I was 14 lol). The dry down is a bit different of course but those opening notes!! What a pleasant trip down memory lane. I love it...now if it only had that original Dior sillage and longevity. What they sell today is a pale, faded representation of the original.

I love this. Beautiful white floral opening that dries down (for me) to something similar to the white cream part of a Kinder Bueno chocolate. Smooth and creamy and delicious. My partner says it smells old. But I disagree! Its ageless in my opinion. EDIT EDIT: My mind kept changing on this, but its ended up a strong love and just purchased a full bottle. Blooms beautifully in warmer temperatures. Partner now cant stop sniffing me and saying I smell delicious. So much for old smell! Haha

Buttery & Creamy tuberose bomb. I think Tuberose is my new thing when it comes to notes, it has that Same suffocating & dominant quality to it that Patchouli has and I love it, Veryyy Sweet while also reminding me of something clean, not in a detergent or dryer sheets kind of way but just put togheter & beautifull, kind of like a expensive hair conditioner. Personally i wouldnt buy it, not quite my vibe, but its still a very good scent.

The combination of the scent and the name imperiale makes me think about French Monarchy, I imagine this is the smell of the aristocrat ladies attending Marie Antoinette's parties. Tuberose in this fragrance is the sweet, candied one, and it's not indolic, it's creamy from the ylang-ylang, and jasmine adds more sweetness to this. I love it, but it's not something for someone who dislikes sweet fragrances. The performance is top notch.

Tubéreuse Impériale is simply outstanding. A velvety, fruity floral masterpiece where every note feels perfectly blended. The tuberose is creamy and elegant rather than overpowering, wrapped in soft sweetness that never becomes cloying. It feels luxurious, comforting and refined from start to finish, with excellent longevity. One of the most beautiful floral perfumes I have ever worn.

Reminds me of a tanning bed lotion I would have longed for but not been able to afford when I was 16-17 years old. I love every version of tuberose- Tubereuse Astrale, Carnal Flower, Diptyque (candle and Do Son), etc. I love the different takes on it. This is very beachy to me, I think it’s the Ylang Ylang. It’s uplifting and bright, if it smelled like a color, it would be orange.

This is so beautiful, it’s like a Delina Exclusif tuberose version instead of Rose. (Not the same fragrance, just the smoky sweet vibe reminds me of Delina Exclusif) It’s creamy powdery a bit smoky, a bit sweet and woody. So good, this fragrance deserves more hype than it gets. Absolutely gorgeous. By far my favorite Tuberose fragrance. BDK house is amazing.

I just recently started to use BDK fragrances. I bought 312 Saint Honore and was given 3 x 10 ml decant of Tuberose Imperial, Velvet Tonka. And Creme de cuir. I tried on TI, and fell in love with the scent. I get some similar scent profile to Twilly D Hermes’ ( which I love as well) I think once my decant finishes, I am gonna get a full bottle.

As a tuberose lover I have to say this is one of my favourite takes on a tuberose. Sweet, not in a bubblegummy way, smooth, elegant and sophisticated. I also have Supreme Bouquet from YSL which it is compared too, but I find Supreme Bouquet “greener” than this one. If you’re a tuberoselover you need this in your collection.

This is the most beautiful tuberose perfume I have ever smelled. I have a humble tuberose perfume collection and I want to add this beauty even I have Vert Malachite. This is very similar to Vert Malachite but this has more sillage and longevity. Also it is more sophisticated.

Trust BDK to take a controversial perfume note and do it beautifully! Not the biggest tuberose person myself but this is not too over the top and done in such a lovely buttery, creamy way, I find it perfect as a bedtime scent to make you feel cosy and comfy

Tubereuse Impériale is a sweet white floral bouquet that balances the richness of ylang-ylang, the creaminess of vanilla, and the freshness of florals and woody notes. It's not too indolic or overwhelming, and it's quite easy to wear in any season.

I was afraid to try this cuz of tuberose, but I’m glad I did it 😍. This is sexy, sweet, bubblegum, candy, girly, feminine, sensual. It smells so good, it reminds me candies and bubblegums but in such a good way. This is definitely a compliment 🧲.

It reminds me of big apple bubblegums we used to chew as kids. It is beautiful, sweet tuberose, but also a little bit sour. Ylangylang combination is great, I think everything is well blended and projection si really nice. I love This house.

This is Amazing. It is quite similar to Nasomatto Narcotic V, MFK Le beau and Dior J'adore Infinissimi. Very easy-going light and transparent tuberose. I might get a bottle of this. If you are into tuberose, you MUST try it.

This one has coconut 🥥 in it for sure, weirdly is not listed in the notes. Its one of the best tuberose perfumes out there if you are a tuberose fan. Long lasting floral perfume which is not usual 👌

This is the dream for white flower lovers, smells clean, gently warm yet sophisticated and rich. I don't think I can say this for any other perfume. It's simply perfect for my nose. I am in love.

Love this ! Sweet , creamy , woody . This made me fall in love with ylang . Debating wether I should splurge on this or vert malachite which are both strong loves for me abs very similar.

the scent itself is good, and I would recomend buying it. It isn’t to strong, which is nice. Doesn’t last too long on skin, but lasts forever on clothes in my opinion.

It silky, satiny, like a negligee. It sweet, almost grape like tuberose, warm smooth ylang, and sweet vanilla. It project’s WELL. It’s just gorgeous.

This makes me smell like a rich woman.

With the recent hype for Rouge Smoking and Gris Charnel, I was excited to give BDK Parfums a try, (as one day I was blissfully unaware of their existence and the next they were all over my youtube being reviewed) and since I am a persuadable perfume pursuer (to my purse’s horror), I thought I'd give the ones that appealed to me the most a try. So. I promptly ordered five 1.5ml samples from Sommelier Du Parfum and I'm currently giving each of them a day and night to duke it out Battle Royale style to see who will win over more tears from my wallet. TUBEREUSE IMPERIALE: Sweet, powdery, and silky smooth. This one smells a little more ‘clean’ to me than BDK’s Pas Ce Soir and Bouquet Hongrie. Pas Ce Soir being quite fruity and Bouquet Hongrie floral. I find Tubereuse Imperiale to be a romantic yet understated fragrance. If I were to buy a full bottle of this one I’d reach for it if I, for instance, going to a coffee shop for a work meeting or to meet a friend. I am really enjoying tuberose at the moment, and yes sometimes it can be associated with scents that are loud, cloying and headache-inducing but for the tone of BDK’s Tubereuse Imperiale has been blended into something refined and sophisticated. A nice take on tuberose. I can see a lot of people really enjoying this and wearing it throughout the year. An hour in and the sillage is nice. It hovers an inch or two above the skin. However, my partner can’t smell it unless he leans into me, and he has a nose that detects scent like a detection dog. So, after an hour, I’m feeling a little nervous about this fragrance’s projection. Yep. Four hours in and its definitely a skin scent. Bummer. However, I’m way less bummed out over this one than Pas Ce Soir. Probably because I was expecting Tubereuse Imperiale to be subtle but was assuming that Pas Ce Soir would be a fruity-floral bomb and thus was a disappointment. Man. I might go as far as to say that I prefer Tubereuse Imperiale over Pas Ce Soir. It’s quite beautiful. Floral, clean with a touch of sweetness. Tubéreuse Imperiale is more refined, whereas I feel like there are sooooo many fruity-florals out there on the market, both designer and niche... who wouldn’t want to continue to look for the best of the best? Tubereuse Imperiale: Light 8/10 from me.

Not as tuberose heavy as I thought it would be being named Tubereuse Imperiale. It comes across more as an equal mix of tuberose, jasmine, ylang ylang and iris. Not sweet in the slightest (unfortunately, for me) but feels like a very warm floral with green, powdery, woody nuances. I think the patchouli and the cypress from the base notes show quite prominently alongside the multitude of flowers. It’s a very interesting, balanced blend of all sorts of florals, white, yellow, purple with a soft, woody base coming from sandalwood and cashmeran and green nuances from patchouli, cypress and geranium. But it’s not my type of tuberose. I prefer much more a sweet, bubblegumy tuberose and a more straightforward tuberose scent if I am choosing to wear a tubereuse perfume. This is very complex and multifaceted and quite unique. Not sure about the presence of incense, vanilla or benzoin in this... It’s a great scent, classic and elegant with a good performance and a hefty price. I would recommend Tubereuse Imperial to the those who like complex florals with a nice touch of green, fresher facets. Not interested currently in buying a bottle of Tubereuse Imperiale for myself as it is expensive and not exactly my style but I would happily wear if I were to get it gifted! Beautiful, simple yet stylish bottle! I really like BDK’s packaging and chromatic design for most of their fragrances!

Sweet tuberose with ylang-ylang. A bit spicy in the beginning but gets much creamier with time. Soft incense in the background. It smells slightly gourmand to me as well. It's refined, a "put together" kind of scent, yet it's still fun - it's a pretty youthful scent. I personally think it's suited towards younger women in a neutral setting (not going to a filthy bar with your crew, but not going to court, either). I especially like the drydown of this, which lasts a long time. The performance is very good - moderate to strong sillage with a good lasting power. It's quite nice, though I still can't decide whether the price point is justified or whether it smells just a bit more designer than a 200$ fragrance should. I would've readily splurged were it a tad more unique. It's on the "considering" list for now. *2 weeks later* I was torn about this one and now I'm glad I got a second sample instead of just going for the big bottle. Other notes are coming through now that my nose has familiarized itself better with the fragrance. Even with a fresh decant I can now make out that there is a sourness to this (not just on my skin, but also on clothes / paper). This would've been a 5/5 for me if not for that, so it's a shame. Not on my full size bottle wishlist for now. Would still consider a 10 ml size for occasional use.
