Little Note

After winning Ballroom in the Be Soliflore giveaway I ordered the other two fragrances. Little Note is a feminine modern rose perfume with good lasting power. Sillage is moderate, making LN work safe. The fresh rose note reminds of rosewater, a scent I'm fond of. So fond in fact that I use rosewater in cooking and baking. Baklava, anyone? :) LN doesn't have the soapy notes so many rose frags have. The citrus notes are light enough to support the rose but never dominate the composition. There are many rose frags out there, and I have quite a few in my collection. LN is a realistic rose, never heavy or sharp, and a fine addition to a rose lovers repertoire. Be Soliflore has earned the Leaping Bunny certification, meaning the ingredients and products are cruelty free. CF is important to me, and many other frag heads feel the same way.

Little Note Sings a Rosy Summertime Song. Little Note opens with an unusual (in a good way) energizing blast of pithy,bitter citrus. The roses start blooming in the heart of this lovely rose soliflore. The base notes bring all the roses to full bloom and I got 8 hours of pure rosy delight. Little Note would be perfect for a summer concert under the stars. Kudos to Be Soliflore and nose Arnaud Winter. This one really sings.

I was one of the lucky winners of the Be Soliflore giveaway. Little Note was my choice. This starts of with lively citrus notes. Like freshly zested citrus peel. Very stimulating. I don't pick up any of the floral notes other than rose. A red rose in full bloom that is fresh and clean. Soft sandalwood in the base provides some woodiness. Pretty and feminine.

Very feminine and very ROSE scent! It last quite a long time on me but it's not over powering. Very pretty perfume, I look forward to wearing it this spring.

Little Note is fresh cut roses straight from the florist! A chilled bouquet with firm petals. I received this beautiful bottle on Valentine’s Day (perfect timing btw) from the Be Soliflore/Fragrantica giveaway. First time using it I sprayed too much with 3 sprays. It filled the room, and left a sillage trail of about 6 feet for 4 hours when is started to settle down for the next 6. 10 hours for 3 sprays is remarkable these days. Also, with that many sprays, the first couple of hours it had a very slight undertone of burnt wax. Tried it again, with one spray further back from the body and it was perfect! All fresh roses! Really true to life. Just don’t overspray this, a little goes a long way. I will update my review in the summer and see how it blooms in the heat. It’s been snowing and 25 deg f with this first go round.

This is a zingy, fresh rose scent. I don’t detect very much sweetness, at all. In fact, the orange and grapefruit notes smell like the pith of the fruit: they have the essence of the fruit, with a tinge of bitterness. The sandalwood gives this a camphorous tinge, and pulls the grapefruit and orange back from full on bitterness and sourness. The result is that the fragrance is energizing and refreshing. It is a lovely scent that I think would be wonderful in the peak of summer in the oppressive heat. (I will have to report back on its performance.)

This fragrance is a rose soliflore, so there isn't really much to say about it. Although given how different approaches to rose can have different smells, here's a brief rundown. The rose note mostly reminds me of Perfume Workshop's Tea Rose, but not quite the same. It's not as honeyed at the top, nor as dusty in the drydown. It leans more towards the scent of rose water - as if you mixed Tea Rose in a bottle of Cortas' rose water - and stays that way throughout its duration on my skin. I get a bit of citrus rind when I first spray it on, which gives it some bitterness. It becomes more musky as it dries down, making the rose smell more pungent. Performance is excellent. I got 8ish hours with a couple of sprays. It projects for a couple of hours before gradually sitting closer to the skin. If you like rose soliflores, this is definitely a fragrance to look into. It's just as unisex as any other rose scent, so don't pay attention to the "for women" part. It's also relatively inexpensive (though I got my bottle from the giveaway), yet quite strong for the style.

This is the most beautiful, elegant, spritely, yet delicate and complex red rose soliflore - very true to life but in a dream-like state. The other notes are used to paint a three dimensional depiction of the rose's complexities: it's depth, its brightness, what highlights and grounds it - a hauntingly beautiful red rose soliflore: gentle, ethereal, young and fresh, forever suspended in the joy and lightness of its citric buoyancy. I can't stop smelling my wrist! I've been spellbound ever since receiving it. It has become another soul-mated and signature fragrance and I am hoping to wear it for a very long time to come. #dazzling

Thank you Be Soliflore, and Fragrantica for bringing this beauty into my life ❤️ A very lemoney Rose. A sweet, red Rose,with a papery dryness as of pressed petals. Pressed petals, yes. This stuff is strong. A very citric, bright opening, then a big blooming red Rose that stays with you. I, personally, am in love with this Soliflore and would recommend.💜💜💜
