Laugh with me Lee Lee

This was the fragrance that initially sparked my interest in fragrance altogether. It was probably the launch year of Benefit's Crescent Row line, I was in a department store with my mom. Being a kid at the time, the colourful bottles stood out to me and after smelling them all, this was the one I was taken away by! A few years later I still remembered the smell and asked my mom to buy it me for my birthday. When given it I was so happy and felt a bit of nostalgia after being reunited with that fragrance I thought about all those years... So this was my signature scent in high school. I wore it everyday and would get a lot of compliments on it. I don't know what it is, maybe it's just a childhood thing, but there's just no other scent I've been drawn to as much as this one. I see a lot of comments calling it generic, but I suppose it's down to personal preference. Though I will say, it didn't last very long and it's a bit pricey for 30ml a bottle. I love how airy and feminine it is, it reminds me a lot of a sunny day in a field of flowers with girls running around giggling and having fun. I like the quirkiness of it, along with the other Crescent Row fragrances too, very cute concept! Unfortunately Benefit would discontinue this line a couple years back and as you can imagine I was quite upset about it. To this day I wish they would bring it back, but I suppose all good things come to an end. I still have my original 30ml birthday gifted bottle to this day with just a small amount left I refuse to ever spray again haha. I don't want to let it go just yet.

I found this perfume while shopping at a Sephora outlet in Malaysia. I remember it was extremely a hot day and I was sweating non stop. So I tried to find something that I could easily wore during the humid day time since my Si by Georgio Armani was too cloying for my liking. I ended buying three bottles of Benefit perfumes; Your Place or My Place, Gina; Garden of Eva; and Laugh With Me Lee Lee. This Laugh With Me Lee Lee smells so earthy and fresh to me. I wear it day and night and I feel that it is very pleasant. It smells a little bit like incents to me. Sweet, a little smokey and very earthy. Besides that it is also quity airy and pleasant. Suitable for everyday use. The longivity is very long on me, however the silage is weak. After an hour, one have to come close to the skin to smell it. However it last longer on my clothes. I remember put some before I went to bed one night and I woke up the next morning after about 8 hours sleep and was wondering what was the good smell that I kept smelling around me. Then I realized it was coming from my nighty. That is why I think it is a good perfume to be considered as signature scent, and this perfume is something that one could easily remember because it is different. Give a try. Oh, Laugh with me Lee Lee is just lovely!! I was out today and I got a whiff of perfume, smelled very familiar to me but I couldn't put my finger on it, a lovely fresh floral fragrance... it took a few minutes but I finally realized it was Laugh with me Lee Lee! It brought memories back as I used to wear it, as well as Something About Sofia by Benefit back in 2010! Great for everyday use, good value as well! I remember going to the pharmacy back in the day and getting Something About Sofia in the first place, but I was literally torn apart between Sofia and Lee Lee. I came back to the pharmacy on the night of the same day and I got myself Lee Lee as well, and to be honest, that's the one I prefer! This one's definitely a summer fragrance. Playful, flirty, a bit cheeky. It's a nice, fresh, floral slightly fruity and a tiny bit spicy at the same time. It's not a cheap ass perfume that lasts about 20 minutes, but it's not a high fashion scent either. The kind of fragrance you don't feel bad for wearing to work, but is still great quality. One of these days I'm gonna treat myself to another bottle of Lee Lee!

For those of you who liked this perfume and are wondering about a dupe, this may sound crazy and it’s been many years since I smelled Laugh with me Lee Lee- but, I recently bought a perfume sampler and was testing Versace‘s Donna born in Roma. Frankly, I was not a fan as I prefer others like like Tom Ford, etc. In any case, I was giving Donna another try and I started to realize that it reminded me of something and it took me back to the days when I wore Benefit’s LWMLL. Then I went searching online to see if it was still available and of course it was discontinued, as I had thought. I don’t remember the scent as well anymore but for some reason as I am wearing this Valentino, Donna born in Roma, it seems to remind me of that perfume. If any of you try the Versace and still remember LWMLL, please post and advise if you think they are similar.

I still have this stashed away after splashing out the hefty sum of (I think) $60 in my early twenties. It's still lovely, although I don't wear it often. It's classified as a floral woody fragrance on here, but to me it's also a bit aquatic. It's fresh, sweet, and a little bit green. I recently picked up Black Opium Neon, and for some reason it reminds me of this. Side by side they are not the same, but I do see why I thought of this when I smelled Neon. This is more fresh and green and less sweet than that, but if you like this you might want to try that. I do wish I'd kept the packaging, as for some reason the bottles in the open boxes remind me of little toilets in cubicles, which I think is hilarious and probably not at all what the marketing team was going for.
