Exotic Musk

I get the comparison to Molecule 01 and Orto Parisi Seminalis, but I actually like this one more than both. It's heavier than Molecule 01, and woodier and muskier than Seminalis. The only drawback is all three of these are synthetic, but regardless it just plain smells good if you're a musk lover. I mainly get iris, musk, tonka, blonde woods, and something akin to a rice sensation. The wood comes off like a smooth sandalwood. Since it's probably 95%+ synthetic, it lasts a long time, but Ive noticed it requires more sprays for projection. This is one of the better purely synthetic molecule type fragrances I've tried, with Another 13 taking the top spot. I'd imagine it could also serve as a layering tool if you're into that. The more I wear it, the more it reminds me of the smell of steam, as strange as that sounds. It's abstract and minimalist, and those make perfect scents for office use, and casual daytime wear. This is very pleasant. Idk if its the musk but there is definitely something in this that has the slightest similarity to oud minerale by tom ford. Maybe its the musk. Minus the salty. Same same...but different. I love oud minerale and id take that over this every time but for the price I got this off discounters, this is awesome. Its very clean smelling and different from most fragrances you'll smell. Lasts a long time. Nothing bad to say

This an is absolute banger guys. Get a sample if you can. Very unique to my nose.

Rating: 🙂😊 Do I like it: Yep Who it is: an empatethic and accomplished expert Smells I get: pepper, pimento, sandalwood, musk Meyer's Briggs type: INFJ, ISTJ Frankly, it's a very pretty take on a male spicy perfume, and I think (as a woman) that I'd love this on a man - not that it matters, but it might. There is something spicy here, almost peppery, in the opening, and it only gets stronger as time goes on. Almost medicinal and very dry opening. The heart reminds me of pimento (allspice) vanilla milk beverages I tend to make in winter, maybe with added pepper, and is almost too spicy at times. There is no sugar in this, just a hint of musk and vanilla of an almost lactonic, nutty quality at moments. This heart lasts forever, probably for more than half the wear, which is interesting. The base is beautiful, creamy and rounded sandalwood blended with full, soft musk, and in this stage I find the perfume reaches perfection and is almost one of my favourites overall. Really, it's a perfume for cold days only, but on those days it'll warm you up just fine. It will solidly last you 6+ h on dry skin, and has a very pleasant drydown and moderate projection. I would avoid overspraying due to spicy notes.

Someone asked me about this one, so here's how I'd responded [later edited]: "OK, so it's a clean sort of musk, kind of like a buoyant, spiced Crema Espesa (the white cream Latin restaurants provide to compliment a dish of plantains). Not so very sweet, not cloying, smooth and lasts awhile. Not so very much a sharp, striking distinction and not a huge "statement" sort of scent, but definitely has a clear identity and seems like I could readily layer it with other scents in order to strengthen them a bit. Not exactly what I'd imagined, but that's my own subjective limitation. I didn't have a musk-based fragrance in my collection and this one seems pretty close to the mark of what would be "right" for the category, as well as the name (although nothing overtly "exotic" about it, by my own sentiment). It will certainly get used and I'm very pleased to own it. p.s. very nice, I keep smelling my wrist." p.p.s. continuing to appreciate this.

Musk dominate fragrances can, in general, be a little tricky to pull off. In the case of Exotic Musk the pungent musk scent is nicely tempered with the creamy vanilla notes. They conspire to produce a fragrance that projects well and lasts more than a full work day. Musk is an excellent summer fragrance that is, in general, not as likely to pull the compliments the typical blue fragrances do. Still, I think many will appreciate it and it will stand out in contrast to the more familiar blue fragrances. Bentley’s Beyond bottles are handsome and will visually enhance any dresser and or collection.

Quite good, definitely exceeded my expectations. I get a bit of mild funk but ultimately clean musk. A touch leathery also, which makes me think this exotic musk is probably a heavy dose of Ambrette. It does actually feel a bit like a lighter version of Zegna Peruvian Ambrette. Not bad, worth a pickup when heavily discounted.

MBTI: ISTJ Feels way more expensive than what it is. Spicy, fuzzy, cotton, cold, easy to be anosmic to. Skin scent, sexy, charming, comforting. Due to low projection and dryness of it, can be worn year round without much concern for the temperature. It won't bite, you'll just smell like warm pimento & clean musk.

Clean, cool, musk. There is very light nuance of spice and violet-like airy powderiness. Easy, cozy, and comfortable. Nothing groundbreaking but its beauty lies in its simplicity. Such scent can be worn year round, except on very hot days. "Like".

Oh man this is challenging to wear as a woman. The first 2 hours were extremely challenging. There is a note in it which made it so difficult and yet I was familiar with the smell but couldn't put my finger on it. Yes, this is somewhat spicy and the more I thought about it, the more I realised, that note is either benzoin or storax (balsam). or something very similar. This is the "aromatic" note in the composition. The fragrance during those hours is exceptionally dry like dry wine. There isn't an ounce of sweetness to it. However, if you can get past that bitterly dry opening, once you get up over the three hour mark and especially more around the six hour mark, it sweetens up dramatically and actually becomes a lot more tolerable and wearable. It actually smelt a bit like cola on me in the dry down and was very sweet (but not sickly) and delicious. Projection isn't great as by just over three hours it was down to a skin scent so as it was getting to the good part, it sat close to the skin. I could still faintly smell it the next morning after about 15hrs of first applying. Not a safe blind buy.

This is the first perfume I've ever smelled that makes me feel ill. This stuff borderline makes me nauseous.

Exotic Musk comes across as a lot more spicy than I anticipated, which is a good thing! Upon first spray, it greets you with a spicy warmth- definitely getting something more than even the Bentley site lists (Fragrantica has the notes wrong). In fact, the musk is a supporting note and isn’t the main feature here. The proper note listing (in a review below) gives a better idea of how this smells: spicy, ambery woods, with mild orris and clean musk. It’s really not that sweet at all. It smells modern and quite unlike anything else. This is most likely too obscure a reference to be generally useful, but this one reminds me most of Ajmal Amber Pimente, but better executed- less synthetic/astringent. I really enjoy this one- price is coming down a bit from its ridiculous retail offering. I’ll echo others below about awesome quality of the bottle. If you’re looking for something refreshingly different from standard Bleu de Mall scents, try this. Excellent! Longevity is impressive- it’s actually quite strong so go easy on the sprays. Plenty of legs.

This is very nice scent and the presentation is frankly amazing. It should come as no surprise that Bentley fragrances are now being handled by Lalique - the flacon is gorgeous, hefty, and sits very well in the hand when picked up. I suspect that the flacons in this line are primarily the reason for the markup in price - they are a notch above the ordinary - though at full price still too much. The scent itself is a really nice powdery "modern" woody musk (which my wife is a huge fan of) which no surprise uses amberwood as so many releases have in the past year, but the bottle is the true star. This may stay above the typical Bentley/Lalique prices - for instance it recently hit some of the discounter sites in the low 80's (USD) which is likely not its low water mark but I also don't think this will ever been seen in big quantities so it may not dip below this by a material amount any time soon.

This is one of those "barely there" fragrances for me. Could be just my nose, could be this particular bottle I got, but all I get is a slightly sweet tonka and musk, exactly as the notes show above. According to the Bentley Fragrances website, the actual notes are: Top - Orris, Ambery Woods Heart - Orcanox, Ambranone, Tonka Bean Base - Musk, White Wood I got my bottle nearly full for $31 and there is no way on this Earth I would pay anything over $50 brand new. Not that it's anything bad; this actually smells quite nice. But there's almost zero projection and it's just a nice smelling skin scent. The definition of office-safe. If I wear this more and have a different impression later on, I'll append it here.

Brilliant scent. This smells expensive. I get some type of vetiver with smokey, peppery musk with a very slight rubber. This is perfectly blended and is sure to get people asking what fragrance are you wearing. Sillage & projection is good for a couple of hours & the longevity is 8 hours easily then a skin scent for a few more. I can't stop smelling my wrist, it's so good. If you like Terre D'Hermes, then you are going to love this one. They are not the same, but could be cousins, if you get what I mean. I purchased a tester bottle from Fragrancebuy.ca and it took 3 days to arrive to Connecticut. At the discounted price, this is a sheer win win. I might order a backup bottle, it's that good.

This is fairly nice, inoffensive and I would imagine May get you some compliments. It is a little bit bland for me but I can see this working quite well for work, a formal occasion with a date so fairly versatile maybe. Not the sort of thing you will smell many people wearing so if your looking to be your own man it’s not bad. For me predominantly I get a combination of the tonka with a very light amount of vanilla and the musk of course. A solid 7 in all areas for me. Scent 7-10 Projection 7-10 Silage 7-10

The first time I wore this I left for work and got a text from my wife a couple of hours later asking "what are you wearing? It smells so good in here!" This is an amazing smelling fragrance that I absolutely loved at first spray. I bought it because I had previously picked up the Bentley Beyond Majestic Cashmere which is also very very good. I may need to get the Wild Vetiver as well...

While I don’t have a problem with people wearing fragrances meant for opposite sex, this collection is not unisex in general. In the Bentley beyond collection, the fragrances with the leather on the caps are geared towards men which lean woody, spicy and earthy. While the fragrances with suede in the caps are geared towards women which lean floral, floral and sweet.

Приобрел недавно в Республике Беларусь в магазине Кравт, брал по скидке. На Bentley была акция. Всем советую, отличный аромат, самое главное что он не душит,не похож на все остальные,таких ароматов пока не встречал. Держится долго,нет никакой химии,даже с тонким намеком на химию. Опять же,все люди разные, кому то может и не зайти аромат. Ставлю твердую 5.

From first spray reminds me of a slightly cleaner, less harsh/heavy version of David off leather blend. love it

Very basic musk...for 30$ range O.K. but 100$ + not for me.
