Beverly Hills 90210

What an odd fragrance. It's not a "bad" or "stinky" scent per se... But it is sharp, medicinal and quite lemony (although lemon isn't listed in the notes; I don't pick up apple at all). This actually reminds me of Coney Island by Bond No 9, which is in the 200 buck price range. Coney Island is also pretty lemony, except while 90210 smells medicinal, Coney Island is more boozy. Tough to figure out where one would wear this. It's evocative of a good floor cleaner. Unless you're really into lemon or unusual scents, I advise you to leave it alone. Doesn't last long. The good thing is you can snag a bottle for dirt cheap.

I'm mad because I found out during the pandemic that one of my favorite shows ever--marketed fragrances! When I discovered this, I ordered everyone in my household a 90210 fragrance. Of course, these were blind buys--and, I must say, we all were satisfied with the scents and product quality. Even the body spray was a complete winner! This particular 90210 fragrance is affordable and pleasant, with the smell of white flowers and crisp fruit. It is completely wearable to most day activities, it lasts, and projects well. I believe it to be a safe blind buy.

I received a vintage mini of 90210 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised although the perfume has probably lost a bit of the top notes. There's still apple, but it's a mellowed apple that sweetens the other notes. Sillage is modest, lasting power is better. Quite unisex and worth a try. The scent resembles another perfume but I can't recall the name. Try it - 90210 is cheap - and you'll know what I mean.

I first bought this when it was launched at the height of the show. It has top note akin to pineapple cordial, similar to Live Luxe which I also own. It's really cheap now at the discounters but luckily, no reformulations, the scent stays just as good. Can't stay it's amazing but it is a really fun scent to wear especially when I'm feeling nostalgic about everything good in the 90's.

This was a christmas present back in 1999 I think, when I had 15 years. I still have the bottle, although I rarely wear this fragrance. Not my personal taste. Para arimegahot: Huele fresco, es floral con un toque aqua. Yo diría que tiene cierto olor a pino aunque puede ser que con el paso del tiempo la fragancia haya cambiado de aroma. Si lo describiera en tres palabras: fresco, juvenil y dinámico. No siento el olor a manzana.

Donna, Kelly, Brenda and Andrea would NOT be caught dead in this perfume! Blech! It is a cheap, watery, floral mess with a touch of apple.

Beverly Hills 90210 Torand Year 1992 This is an underrated drugstore cheapie but goodie. In '92 I would never have admitted to anyone that I wore it. I was a perfume snob at the time. I concur that this does NOT smell like my idea of Southern California or Beverly Hills. For that, check out CAMP BEVERLY HILLS, which was a fragrance for younger crowds but which was definitely mature as a citrus floral. This fragrance is a unisex woodsy scent; a fine intro to woodsy notes in fragrances. When I first wore 90210 and still do today, this fragrance never changes. This is a chypre, but with minimal notes, keeping it light & for the 90's, youthful. It's quite linear & it has those 3 notes of green apple, woods, and white florals. But there might be more going on than meets the nose. The woodsy notes contain eucalyptus as reviewer Celebrity89 states. Distinctly eucalyptus and smells like eucalyptus oil as well. There's also definite clove. Smells earthy, green and aromatic, with cloves & eucalyptus wood. This cologne is oily, green, herbal, almost an aroma therapy and medicinal scent. Reviewer Piscean Blue is right about the medicinal aspects of this scent and the sourness. This stuff's quite astringent & reminds me of being in a clinic. Definitely mature. A younger perfume wearer would not care for this fragrance at all, despite the fact that 1992 was really not that long ago. I am curious about who created this scent. So many uncredited noses out there. The sour green apple is actually my favorite part. Smells like green apples alright, a lot of them in a basket. The woodsy notes & sour apples are evocative of the outdoors. There are green notes & cloves, all very much straight out of chypre fragrance ingredients. IN this sense it's unisex & can be worn by men who like green notes & woods. 90210 is not very floral and those "white flower" are nondescript and so faint as to be very hard to detect. At times I smell something like a white jasmine but again, not very strong at all. This perfume is not sweet as in "floral sweet". It's also suggestive of vetiver. This was the most unusual chypre ever. Casual & autumnal, easy to wear if you're experienced with woodsy scents Smells like autumn. A little walk in a forest of eucalyptus trees. Perhaps there is a place in California where eucalyptus groves abound and if so then the nose behind this scent was inspired by California eucalptyus. A really good intro to woods & soft chypres.

Fresh fruity green and woody is right. I'm referring to the main accords list. This is an obscure and underrated unisex fragrance, a drugstore cheapie, easily purchased on such sites as Amazon.com & Fragrance X but also found in most discount perfume warehouses. 90210 is nothing like I imagined it would be. It doesn't conjure up images of Shannon Doherty & Luke Perry on a convertible wearing sunglasses and cruising down the palm tree lined streets of Beverly Hills. Even Giorgio Beverly Hills For Men does that for me. 90210 is a simple linear scent of sour green apple and woods. There's really no florals to speak of. I don't detect any white floral notes in it, perhaps just the tiniest hint of a jasmine or lily of the valley, a green floral AND white floral, but not the main player. In it's woodsy heart, there is a fragrant eucalyptus oil and perhaps additional green notes of vetiver. The woods are very well done and with that green apple at the top the whole thing is quite well rounded and neither all woods nor all fruit. This has a superb projection and longevity and that was to be expected out of a 1990's fragrance. I find it very aromatic and green, woodsy and intoxicating. This is an autumn scent. Smells like a park when leaves are already changing colors and falling. Atmospheric and serene, soothing and natural, but nothing like one imagines Southern California to smell like. Nothing at all like the residential streets and gardens and groves in Beverly Hills. It would have to smell like citrus and orange blossom for it to properly transport you there. This is a pedestrian in West Los Angeles walking in Santa Monica residential streets. Because it is strong apply with a light touch and wear it confidently to work. This is a really nice if you give it a chance. It's too bad that it doesn't get as much credit or attention. The Torand line has been discontinued to my knowledge but they have several of the 90210 line that might be of some interest to vintage frag fans. Soundtrack Walking in LA By Missing Persons

Released by Torand, Beverly Hills 90210 is one of two fragrances from 1992 released for fans of the hit 90's TV drama. I expected this to smell very girly, a teen perfume which would be more of a body mist but this is from a time when even teen perfumes were made with real ingredients of flowers, fruits and woods. This is a very simple composition: three notes; green apple, white flowers and woods. The white flowers I could smell were gardenia and jasmine. The opening note of green apples are very strong and don't really diaappear and linger a long time. I'm not a fan of green apples and it has a similarly sharp sour green note like the opening to Tea Rose by the Perfumer's Workshop. The green apple also turns into a fruit scented shampoo that I have used before. But the white floral scent is very pretty and the woodsy dry down is too. This doesn't smell anything like the gardens that are surroudned by high rise walls in Beverly Hills which would have orange trees, orange blossoms and other citruses like lemon trees. This doesn't come off as very California nor Beverly Hills. For a real California scent, get either Gale Hayman's Sunset Boulevard, Camp Beverly Hills or So Pretty by Cartier. Those fragrances are definitely California and Beverly Hills. This is a beautiful strong fragrance and suitable for every day wear in the day time. Dress: Casual. The green aple note gives it a unisex vibe. It's not that girly. It's nice but you know there was never a day when Shannen Doherty wore this. This is way too simplistic and more of a niche fragrance to be worn by nostalgic fans of the 90's. This smells like your casual 90's fruity-floral scent. I like it and I'm glad I picked it up. Affordable vintage with lots of charm.

The beginning few minutes reminds me of the nutmeg/clove men's colognes from the 1960's with eucalyptus. It has an aquatic note not mentioned. Not a young smelling scent. The first blast is liked Florida Water (an ancient nutmeg, clove based toilet water loved by the Santoria cult and used in their chicken killing rituals, and a fave of Lucille Ball) you'll smell the clove link. The final impression is sour and boozy like the skin of an alcoholic. As a lover of sour note perfumes, I can tell you this is not a good one. Save your five bucks for 90210 Moment. Update: After spraying a few times I find this to be nothing more than sour green apple dish washing liquid. I really don't recommend this one. Note: I came across Beverly Hills 90210 Sport and will not be getting that one. Way too much like the hyper-fruity Escadas or Paris Hilton by PH.

I received this one as a Christmas present when I was 14. To me, smells fruity but also a bit oceanic, fresh and sweet. Is not a sophisticated fragrance but every time I wore it I got compliments about it. Smells clean, strong at the very beginning but softer during the day. It doesn't invade spaces and noses, so I consider this a bit better than a body mist but fresh and pleasant enough to use it as an everyday scent. I have bought it recently, now I'm 35. It is certainly not a very grown up perfume but I still get compliments about it. When I confess what I'm wearing, people get very surprised, because they expected a bigger name!

This is an affordable and awesome perfume. It's perfect to use right after a shower and when you're not putting any real thought into what perfume to wear. It's fresh, very fresh and opens with a green apple. The white flowers are hard to detect and they're soft. The woodsy notes are also very soft. This thing is one big green apple scent and smells just like an apple scented shampoo. So if you have shampoos with apple in it this is for you. I love this fragrance. It's simple, sweet, delicious and fruity. I found it while browsing through apple notes on Fragrantica.

Memory unlocked! I had forgotten this existed let alone that I had a bottle until I read someone else’s review which referred to this. I immediately vaguely remembered owning a bottle and had to a Google it. Yes! I had this scent - I cannot say what it smelt like but I had to comment as I am thrilled to now remember this was one of my first ever perfumes.

I got this perfume at 10 years of age for Christmas as I was *obsessed* with the television show. It was actually a VERY pretty fragrance! I still remember the scent 20 years later...no longer available here in Aus and I'd say if it was, it'd be a LOT cheaper than it was back in 1993 hahaha. I always felt like "Brenda" when I wore this!

Attn: This review is for 90210 Energy, not yet cataloged. The bottle comes encased in yellow rubber that I prefer removed. The scent is a crisp citrus, grassy floral which really reminds me of the discontinued E. A. Eau Fraiche. The problem is an unfortunate sulfer base that their Tickled Pink also has.

Attn: This review is for 90210 Tickled Pink. 90210 Tickled Pink starts as a fizzy fruity scent then unfortunately devolves into that sweet Paris Hilton/Escada/Mariah Carey thing. Update: Has a strange sulfer base.
