Shimmering Heat

Not sure why this is getting such hate! I found the fragrance to be wonderful! It’s a cooler more subtle version of Jennifer Lopez’s “Live Platinum” which is VERY hard to find anymore and very expensive when you do. Also only comes in a small 1.7-1.0 Oz bottle. I love it but it tends to wear a bit too musky. Shimmering Heat has a bite of the musk but more crisp floral. It’s a very clean scent. Wears VERY well in winter. A lot of people kick Beyonce’s “pulse summertime edition” as well saying no longevity and no scent. But they’re wearing it at the wrong time! It’s a summertime edition fragrance and wears fabulously in winte! Cold weather! Same for shimmering! It lasted on me and smells great. I am very happy for this spin on the Heat line. Great find for $20 some dollars and hadn’t been able to find it for a while so glad I did!

I would say; forget all about what you know of Beyonces perfumes when you are thinking of this perfume, because, it's not like any other of them. This perfume is more like my other lost "babies": OH! of Moschino and Blonde of Versace. Shimmering Heat is also all about "the green stuff", and, I like this green "baby" very much. -There is also the lily and the oak moss, and, I don't smell much of anything else. It's just a nice green perfume even though the bottle is blue, it should have been green, but it is blue.

Gorgeous bottle,colour & scent.Soft, floral and delightful,reminiscent of Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely perfume which is slightly more musky in comparison.

Bought this as there wasn't much risk involved considering the dirt cheap price tag...and considering the notes, I thought it looked like a good summer cheapie. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. Her debut perfume (which is downright HORRID)...scared me away from trying ANY Beyoncé perfumes until 2017 when I bought Rise and (although a mediocre scent)...I still enjoy it's musky, clean-skin vibe and wear it sometimes still. So I figured why not? This one seemed quite different from anything she's released and I bought it in August which is summer in Pennsylvania. Turns out...I really like this one. I agree with other reviewers...it's a VERY green, almost celery or grass-like scent at times...but in the heat...it works quite well! Most definitely unisex even though it was released for women. Any man can pull this off...it's not feminine whatsoever. I was quite surprised to see all the notes that are listed. Vanilla? None. Patchouli? Seriously?! None detected. To be honest...it smells like the "green notes" + Lily Of The Valley. Period. That's what it smells like. Extremely simple...but like I said...works very well in summer! Has a refreshing and cooling effect in the heat. Scent Itself - 7/.5/10 Longevity - 3-4 hours depending on amount of sprays. Projection - Strong at first. 3 feet or so. Then 1-2 feet after the first 30 minutes. Overall Score - 7.5/10 I really like this one. Most DEFINITELY made for summer! And WAYYYYY better than the original heat. I voted above with a solid "like."

This is a perfect spring/summer scent. It is fresh and grassy, as well as perfectly unisex. Despite the packaging and marketing, this is not feminine whatsoever. If more men swallowed their pride and bought this, they would discover a "hidden" gem because it is "for women". To me, it smells mostly like freshly cut grass with a hint of white flowers. The green notes are extremely prominent but they make for a very fresh scent that is never unpleasant or harsh. Overspraying really makes it shine and brings out the patchouli. I drenched myself in this before going on a walk with my mum last Sunday. At some point she asked me what fragrance I was wearing. She even said it was strong. I pulled my shirt over my nose and took a whiff. It was almost minty, I had never noticed it could be that "strong". It is not "shimmering" but it is certainly perfect for heat. Few fragrances manage to be fresh without making me sick. It is (was R.I.P.) affordable which means you can afford to frequently and abundantly apply it. Unfortunately, I am running out of my 100 ml bottle and I can no longer find it online or anywhere else. It is a shame this seems to have been discontinued. I cannot find the rest of her fragrances either for that matter. This is a very strong like, bordering on love. It only lasts about 3-4 hours but I cannot really complain. I wish I could still buy this because I really appreciate it.

So I have finally received Shimmering Heat in the mail today along with Heat Seduction to complete my Heat collection. This is a very fresh, green and floral fragrance. It is slightly masculine which would make this enjoyable for men as well but it's not as bad as people were saying. It's actually not bad at all. I just think a lot of people weren't expecting someone like Beyoncé to go this route with her fragrance line but I really like it. It's very different from all of her other Heat fragrances. It reminds me a lot of "Because you are" by Exceptional parfums. I use to get their samples every time I purchased from fragrance.net and I would wear it because it was different from what I usually like. This has a decent performance like most of her fragrances. It reacts very well with my body chemistry and it smells a lot softer on my skin, compared to being sprayed on paper. I would recommend people smell this first before buying because of how different it is but I had to order mine from perfume-click.com because it's not available in the United States yet. I paid $32 for a 50ml which I usually wouldn't pay that much for a Beyoncé fragrance but over the past 2 years I've become such a fan of her music and perfume, i didn't mind because I was very anxious to smell this fragrance and of coyrse, add to my collection.

Shimmering Heat I love now. What happened? Maybe it was the reviews of @Spencermonster and @Mdox that made me take a second look. I didnt think it was bad at first but just not worth the price. This perfume is proof that u should always give fragrances a second chance and give them time. First test i got totally different notes. So it just arrived in the mail. First spray I immediately thought of one of the J.Lo's (Still?) Or even more so that dusty flower note in Fairy Dust Paris Hilton. However Shimmering Heat is not as in your face and pungent like Fairy Dust...more sheer and light less flowery. Second perfume that came to mind is a cleaner airier Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker. I felt like a New York socialite. I will stand firm that it smells like those two perfumes. Shimmering heat is easier to wear I like better than both definitely, a step up. UPDATE: I agree with the reviewer that said this remind them of Exceptional and also Miracle. I don't know where I got my Ferragamo F Nights comparison but it was a hot summers day and I remember I got that note at the end. I feel like I am going crazy why is there not a note there that I smelled before? Maybe it will return in hot summer as it is 'magically' different in different weathers. I k But whatever the case this is a beautiful fragrance . I'm glad to have it!

I tried this out on a cool day in our summer, the scent started of feminine being fresh, botanical and ozonic when first applied but it then quickly matures to a earthly and musky scent in no time as the Jasmine, Green notes and Oakmoss overpowers and this then lasts until it fades out. The lasting power is 6 plus hours on me, took a shower at that mark as it got a little too heavily musky and masculine. Will try again now that we are heading into winter, I hope that it works this time around as I so love the opening...sigh.

Great, cool scent with character - sparkly floral, slightly earthy - like a frosty, sunny morning, similar to TTA Diamond by Avon but not as sharp or persistent as Diamond. No musk or vanilla detectable, only crispy and fresh mossy floral. Not veru longlasting but works really fine in both in hot summer and cold winter. It makes me think of fresh snowflakes sparkling in the morning sun:)

Pretty, office-friendly type of scent for less than a tenner. It's not sweet at all which is a nice change. Has a similar vibe to Miu Miu l'eau bleue, in that this is cool /fresh/ watery and LOTV heavy. Longevity is poor but that's no surprise. It won't knock your socks off and it's not exactly unique but it's a pretty little thing for a fair price.

I can't explain how this smells, but it's a creamy white floral. A nice skin scent. I didn't like it a lot when I had it but I finished a whole bottle then, and now I kind of want it again. Perfumes don't always have to be insanely good. This one for example worked so pretty for daytime use.

Nice and fresh sparkling one. Everyday scent and must for those who wearing Perfume in gym. Cheap as hell and really something that you don't Smell on everyone. Try before buy. More of a splash body mist! 4,5/5 V

I’m interested in buying this but I’m a male. Don’t exactly want sparkles all over myself. Can someone describe the “shimmer” part of this please?

I have..and I like it. Its so different.. its fresh..but a little weak for me..but i really liķe the scent. Last 30 minutes before it dissapears.

Nice fresh smell, clean fragrance for warm months, something to wear after workout or hot day by the pool. Doesn't last as long as I would like.

Yep, inoffensive, office-type-a fragrance. Green-white floral, light and airy. Not that long lasting tho, but it justifies the price.

En mí huele a perfume de hombre. Es muy masculino para mi gusto. No huelo la vainilla ni las flores, es muy raro pero es de los perfumes que menos me gusta. Solo lo tengo porque coleccionaba perfumes de Beyoncé cuando era chica, pero no lo ocupo. De cualquier manera creo que es un olor masculino muy atractivo.

In "theory" this fragrance has all of my faves, the pink pepper, oakmoss, freesia, lily-of-the-valley and vanilla. One would think with all of this it should be a heavy hitter like "Dune." However, when I ballied up to the perfume counter tonight I thanked the lucky stars that I did not purchase this before getting a whiff from the tester. Talk about uninspiring! A totally unremarkable fragrance! With so much going on in the perfume industry all this one has going for it is 'Beyonce.' I must say though that I do appreciate at least two of the "Heat" series...without it I don't know what she would do. And those "Pulse" numbers....ouch! its a dead mans bluff for me, no pulse.... But, as I say....if you love it and its for you enjoy!

I had a smell of this perfume today at a chemist since they just got it in and I have to say that this is the worst out of Beyoncé’s fragrance collection,it was so bitter and soapy that it reminded me of laundry detergent,it also came across as very masculine because of the lack of any sweet notes but It was very bitter smelling and definitely the worst smelling perfume I have smelt in awhile.

I believe that Shimmering Heat does not fit the Heat line. The rest of them are fruity and sexy and this is just something that you have smelt before. And I like floral perfumes, even the granny ones. But is just too light to be a granny scent. That's sad because I generally love Heat line and would have loved to add another one to my collection.

This one smells so bad...! I'm not a fan of Beyonces perfumes, I think they smell generic and thypical celebrity scents, but this one is just awful. Very different from her other easy likeable ones. My hubby smelt it on my wrist too and didnt like it eighter. Very unusual but not for me...

I don't like the scent. Smells too "dark" for my taste. think it might be oak moss, mixed with musk and patchouli. Those bottles are always so pretty and tempting, but I have only liked Heat Rush so far.

I get this one for a present. I really like sweet and vanilla parfumes, this is not my style at all. Smells clean, didnt last and smell just sooo boring. Just meeeh for me

The worst of B's perfumes I've tried. It just gives me the vibe of something old, might be the pepper.

Maybe it's the worst by Beyonce. It's almost unnoticeable. Something watery like its bottle.

I tend to get really hesitant when I see 'pachouli' in the fragrance notes. I don't mind it, but it comes across as spicy and strong in some fragrances. I have a couple of Beyonce's perfumes, two are Heat perfumes. I find some of her fragrances to be quite underwhelming, which surprises me as Beyoncè is such a beautiful and talented woman and was expecting a lot from many of her fragrances. I really love Heat and Heat Rush, so I really hope she brings this fragrance as something toward those two scents. The notes claim that 'Shimmering Heat' also contains Rose and musk, which tells me this is likely to be a very strong, spicy fragrance. I love love love Vanilla, and do hope it is more prominent than all those notes. When this releases I will definitely try the tester before I buy, since from these notes it doesn't really sound like me...but it's Beyoncè so of course I will always test her perfumes! (The bottle is so gorgeous, another reason to give this a try!)

This is like a sheer version of the purple midnight heat. Its got a spicy musky smell but I really like it. It is a bit weak but its cheap enough to buy so I just re spray it. I am surprised I like it because when I first tested it I thought it was just a mess but having actually sprayed it on skin on a warm day it is teally nice. It is not sweet like her others its more the sweetness thats in midnight heat but the patchouli is replaced with a mossy smell. I think I will easily empty this bottle and although it is musky it isnt too much.If you liked armani city glam in pink bottle you might like this. Or even harajuku lovers love by gwen stefani it has that spicy musky smell might be the freesia mixed with pepper.

I have never tried any of Beyonce's scents but Shimmering Heat caught my eyes because of it's promising light blue color and notes. This was a blind buy and I was prepared to fail. I did not fail. On the contrary, I became so happy to find my Summer 2020 scent! Lily-of-the-valley and green notes are in the main role here, and that is perfect for me. This is how summer in northern Europe smells like! This is perfect for office, too. A very lovely every day scent for especially spring and summer. The bottle is prettier than I thought.

Perfumes are so interesting as everyone's perception of the scents is just different. I tested shimmering heat yesterday out of curiosity, as I'm not a big fan of this line, and I instantly thought to myself that whoever created this, must've had Miracle by Lancôme in the back of their head while composing the scent because to my nose it smelled so similar to Miracle. Almost identical. It was Ok. Floral for sure but nothing ground breaking. However, I wasn't impressed as it was gone in no time. Like, seriously disappeared.

i dunno how to feel about this one definitely can smell the green and floral notes heavily. it is a mature and hot fragrance. late night club vibes, a scent you add to match a sexy ass outfit. that's what this perfume represents to me. it's not my signature so it doesn't seem like something i'd wear all the time. i can see wearing it on special occasions. im just keeping it cause its by beyonce

This is exactly how I want to smell after shower, a little bit citrus, a little bit floral, a little bit powdery and very fresh. Love that the bottle is blue, and that it is still a memorable fragrance, so lovely to wear going out. Went to my top list for all seasons apart from winter. A cuddle in a bottle. Thank you Beyonce!

Beyonce's perfumes are never high quality and Shimmering Heat is no exception. But it does smell nice for its short duration on the skin. It's a light but refreshing crisp citrus with hints of patchouli and musk. Nothing special but I think it smells nicer than most of her range - just a shame the performance is so poor.

This smells like SJP Lovely on my skin but a stronger and fresher version. Sticks to my skin like crazy with good sillage. But not my kind of scent. Can be worn by men as smells quite masculine. I'm not keen on this or Lovely. Far too musky for my liking.

This perfume is available on perfume click usa website, yes they ship from UK, but I have bought from there a few times this year, and usually get the perfume within 2 weeks.

To be honest, this is one of B's best. It's literally pure summer freshness. Not too sweet, very breexy. Smells almost like a beach but less salty.

Beyonce perfumes are nice but when she releases a new one it's impossible to find it. They're only sold in other countries. Why is that

I wonder ware I can smell this at. the last one of Beyonce's perfumes I was able to find. If I find it some where I'll try it.
