Bijan Wicked for Men

This one brought to me a sensation of joy and nostalgia! It has great similarity with CK One. However, I think it has stronger notes, I would say more masculine notes, which reminded me a scent from my teenage, called “XV Years Old”, from a national brazilian brand called “Água de Cheiro”. Wonderful scent! What I want to write down here (and I will repeat in others Bijan’s reviews) is the fact that all Bijans I have in my collection have the same characteristic: it starts calm and “weak”, giving that feeling of “this scent will lasts only 20 minutes”. But for one magic reason, they grow in the skin after 30-40 minutes and exhale a lot. It’s awesome! You can feel the aroma all the time in your own body and than you notice that you are wearing a wonderful scent.

This is definitely similar to CK One and Chrome from Azzaro. I'm loving the touch of pineapple which is much more prevalent in the beginning. What I like most about this scent is that it is a cleaned up, more balanced version of Chrome. It smells nice (not necessarily great) and with only 2 sprays I get plenty of projection and aroma to last me all day. This is a great casual scent to wear during warmer months when you need a citrus scent that will not be smothered by the heat. If you don't want something as plain as CK One and Chrome isn't your thing, this is a good option. I think its safe to say that Bijan makes quality and unique fragrances, each with their own special character. Time to try Bijan VIP!!

I purchased this one blind, probably because of the name and in the hopes that it might be something spooky and mysterious. Well, I was right, it is kinda' mysterious... and the name is perfect. It's smells like going into a candle shop, very astringent and aromatherapy-ish. It's a strange blend of green and aquatic, with East Indian incense hiding in the back-round. I think it's like the male equivalent to Dior Poison but not quite as strong or floral. Great for nights when wearing all black... maybe a good Goth scent, try it out if dark things are your scene.

This is like Azzaro Chrome on steroids. There is a lot I like about this fragrance. I love the pineapple note in this. There is a note in this that is just too intense. I don't know which note it is but it is a little off putting to me. It just overwhelms my nose. I think to make this work you must spray it lightly Overall I think it is a nice fragrance, although I prefer Chrome.

Nasty and cheap. It goes on promisingly enough, but after about twenty minutes it dries down to a synthetic note I have smelled before in poorly wrought scents that represents nothing in nature I am familiar with. The basenotes are mildly sour, mildewy and awful; it smells like I've splashed some kind of - I don't know - commercial fabric cleaner on myself.

I envisaged Wicked to be a lot more potent as the name would suggest, but I find it similar to Mackie for Men, by Bob Mackie. It wears well and is unobtrusive as a fragrance. The fresh pineapple is quite masculine.
