Snowbird

I was so incredibly excited to receive my discovery set from Binaurale, which contains their six current fragrances. For each fragrance, I have done a blind smell test, only after thoroughly taking in the scent and determining a true and thoughtful opinion, I will review the notes. After this test, I have worn each scent for a full day, one by one, all on their own. No layering. Day four. Oh my goodness. This seriously smells like a carrot straight from the ground first spray. It is so... interesting. I imagine it is from a mix of the carrot seed and patchouli, along with the woody scents. Picture this; You are a humble forager, you followed your truffle hunting dog into the forest, where you come upon some wild carrots. They are not big, they will only be enough for a light snack, but you count your blessings, (and carrots) add them to your basket, and move along. End scene. I think I'm one of the lucky few because I just love carrots, the fresh, photo-realistic, dirty carrot straight from the ground is such a bright, fresh, and yummy scent. Once you get over that initial spray and let the scent lay and mature, the pear really shines through, it's one of the few scents I have ever found that smell like natural pear, and not some overly-sweet synthetic pear from a dystopian future. It mixes with the fig ever so lightly, creating a sweet melody, along with the herbaceous background of cedar and patchouli. This one has such a complex yet well thought out journey. I am so in love with Binaurale's scents. 8.9/10.

This smells like being surrounded by fresh produce on a beautiful day at the farmers market. On me, I mostly smell fresh carrots that have just been pulled out of the ground and still have dirt on them, but in the BEST way. I’ve been searching for a carrot-centric fragrance that isn’t clouded by cardamom or any other spicier note, and this is it!! This is not a sweet fruity scent either; it’s very fresh and vegetal. Perfect for a warm day and very unique!

Beautiful fresh spicy scent. Smells like fresh carrots and earth. Soft violets and powdered pepper. Fresh air and cool breezes. I'm not really feeling this as a"fruity" scent although it has fig and a small whif of pear. The fig is very green. This is a very green, fresh and spicy, slightly powder fragrance to me. I really am coming to appreciate this house

Beautifully blended fragrance. This smells like a crisp spring day. The slight greenness of this fig blends beautifully into a fruitiness with the pear that then dries down to the soft powderiness of violet. This is sweet in the way carrot and pear are sweet. The final drydown is a delicate powdered sugar. Glad I got the full bottle.

This is such a unique scent and I’m so glad I gave it a try. It has a dry, woody note upon opening for me. As it wears throughout the day, I got more of the fig and pear notes. It smelled so sophisticated and fresh. I would also like this on a man.

Hunky and hydrated. A clean, musky aquatic. I feel like fig usually takes on a creamy, matte character. But the fig in Snowbird is a balmy, gel-like green – almost an aloe vera. Reminds me of Vacation’s After Sun, only lowered an octave. The pear is sweet and beaded with dew. Fruity, without feeling femme. One of those scents that convey a temperature, and this is a crisp coolness. Think convertible ride on a costal morning, catching the first sparkles of sun as the marine layer ebbs away. I could see this scent working for both a Friday in the office and a long weekend in Cabo. Sillage is intimate and longevity hangs around six hours. My favourite Binaurale to date. Mental Snapshot: A welcome beverage. A trip equally business and pleasure. Catching a conference call in a cabana. Suits and suntans. What a fun fragrance! The immediate feeling this evokes is being at a breakfast buffet in the early morning with freshly picked fruits and vegetables. Or a farmers market? Or a botanical garden? Very much putting me in a place where the plants are alive and well. The pear sweetness is certainly there, but yeah I totally pick up on the carrot note the most, very refreshing. It's a softer scent which I appreciate as well, it's very well balanced between too little and too much projection. I don't see much use-case with this one other than warmer settings, but for good reason. In my opinion this is dead center on unisex, leaning a hairs width towards feminine. Really enjoying this one, will definitely keep it in the sunshine rotation!

i feel like this is such a well blended scent that i’m having a hard time describing it. there’s a tartness, i think from the pear, but i get a lot of cedar as i sniff. trying to search for the carrot note but having a hard time finding it. it feels unique to me but i really can’t put my finger on it. it’s such a long lasting scent but it stays so close to the skin, which is an interesting combination. my boyfriend couldn’t tell i had any perfume on until i made him sniff my wrist, but it ended up lasting almost 8 hours on my skin (4 of which were spent in a coffee shop, which usually makes me smell like coffee more than anything else). i’ve barely made a dent yet in my 8ml from SB but i could see myself eventually repurchasing.

another surprising scent! by the notes alone, i knew this would be a freshie, but it does pull a tad masculine on me. a woody, slightly spicy, unique perfume. perhaps not FB worthy for me at the moment, but i see myself coming to sniff this one again and again in the future. it's such a unique scent, though it does lean "hotel" at moments, but i'm not quite sure why...

This is interesting like a second skin scent with subtle spice and fruity notes that almost comes off as nutty. The spice gives it a freshness so it’s very airy like the summer’s light coming thru your open window with a sweet breeze from your garden. It’s like the more vegetal maybe more of a herbal nutty, sweet pear scent.

Snowbird is named very appropriately, reminds me of a crisp day in the mountains after it has snowed. definitely pick up on the cedar note. Fresh, airy, crisp & clean. Love it!

I absolutely this!! Now this will sound weird but poets of berlin or wild orchid vanilla is underneath pear and fig and violet. I swear the smell is there because I'm obsessed with those two perfumes but it's underneath the pear and fig. At first it can be a touch screechy but it smells great so it's not bothersome then it's starts to smooth out and you get a almost Oris buttery soft violet notes and amber. I really like this. The violet is the same violet that is in that Molinard violet in the purple bottle. It's very much so POB and violet Molinard mashed together
