No 6 Cuir Grand Tigre

Super little overture with the freshness of the figs and coriander, and when the heart notes begin to take over, the balmy tuber rose is nicely mixed with the black pepper. At the end, vanilla dominated more than my skin on my skin. :) It's unisex, but I think it's a better male scent. Timeless, cold or warm can be worn well! :)

Opens fougère-like but super-soft and wearable. Full disclosure: I don't usually enjoy fougères so don't expect the classical structure or smell here. Smelling No.6 for the first time I was imagining lemon, lavender, rosemary, moss over an isobutyl quinoline base so, the last one aside, the notelist came as a shock. Grey coriander where I thought moss, fig as the green note in place of rosemary. And there's that lovely green tuberose softening it all up. Sadly on my skin it changes into a vintage, bitter-green leather, reminding me of Jean-Louis Scherrer . I like the tuberose note a lot but it’s competing with the fig and the isobutyl quinoline so that in the end No.6 has more of the traditional green leather going on. Good but not as unique as it was on the blotter. Still worth a try — it may respond differently to your skin.
