Fjällsjö

Fjällsjö is draped in a quiet, glacial elegance—cool as morning mist over still water, as crisp as freshly laundered linen left to dry in alpine air. The aquatic notes are subtle, never veering into the sharp salinity of calone but instead mimicking the breath of cold air against damp skin, the way water clings before vanishing. Then comes the sweetness—muted, translucent, like sunlit wood polished smooth by time and touch. There’s a weightless, skin-adjacent hum, something almost cedar-like but without the scratch, an airy woodiness that floats rather than settles. Beneath it, a gauzy musk, clean yet warm, like the ghost of cotton warmed by bare skin. It is effortless. The kind of scent that isn’t worn so much as inhabited, a veil of fresh air, white fabric, and the faint memory of something sweet lingering at the edges. If this is what fjällsjö smells like, I’m packing my bags.

Very soft-spoken and calm. Like the quietude and freshness of the mountains in early spring, when the wild flower fields start blooming through the snow cover. A very enjoyable clean scent. I get pictures of waking up in a mountain cabin, and breathing in the fresh, sweet snowy mountain air. Just lovely Also, we really need Mareld and Botanist on Fragrantica. It's very disappointing, that they're not on here.

smells like an icy mountain glacier landscape. clean and fresh but not soapy or synthetic smelling. just fresh and natural and cold. signature scent material!!!

Smells like Nivea Cream on freshly showered skin. Almost ghostly, white, clean and soft.

I smell pear and aldehyde, and I really enjoy it!

This perfume is a good example of Scandinavian minimalism, simple, harmonious and easy to wear. It can be easily described as "clean laundry scent" or "white soap scent", anything that is associated with cleanness. However, the performance is disappointing in terms of both longevity and sillage. Considering that there are plenty of perfumes in this category, I personally would not get a full bottle. It is overpriced in my opinion. The opening is quite interesting and even playful to me. It resembles bubble gum, fruity and sweet. I unmistakably get banana and some peach. However, this fruity touch lasts very short. The clean laundry scent comes up immediately. To me it smells more like the laundry freshly out of washing machine, still wet and wafting detergent. The combined floral notes make it fresh and slightly powdery. The drydown remains clean, calm and comforting. It reminds me of soap, or to be more specific, olive soap. The fluffy feeling created by cotton flower is amplified now. To me it is a vivid smell of clean towels, out of dryer for long enough time and already cooled down. You no longer feel the steam and warmth, only the softness and fluffiness. As mentioned at the beginning, it is a simple and very pleasant scent, but the performance is disappointing. It turns into skin scent after only 1-2 hours.

Right from the beginning, I smell high dose of musk and fruit (something like apple or pear). Then the ambrette settles and gives a nice depth. It's sweet but not too much, fresh and watery, almost aquatic, due to the shy flowers, fruits and musk blend. Overall, on my skin it smells a tiny bit too clean, too sharp. The drydown is nicer with the sharp musk tamed down, it's like a sweet nectar. I prefer this perfume to Byredo's Mojave ghost and Blanche, it's one of the nicest "clean skin scent" I've encountered. I find that it shares a lot of similitudes with Mono Cachemire, but it's sweeter, colder, sharper and doesn't have the powdery floral iris note that Mono cachemire has. They have a common base but very different vibes. Fjallsjo does indeed remind me of the outdoor, of some fantasy orchard with waterfalls and flowers. The body cream version is not as nice as the fragrance, it's less sweet and less sharp, the ambrette is very present.

A minimalist scent. Made by the same perfumer as Mojave Ghost, and they’re nearly identical, except Fjällsjö is much more of a laundry-adjacent scent, and Mojave Ghost having that juicy almost kiwi-like accord. Otherwise it’s difficult for me to tell them apart. Clean, cool, effortless. I hate the opening of Fjällsjö though, it smells like underripe bananas or something

I am surprised by how much I enjoy this one - it starts smelling very much like an air freshener with some aggressive sour florals, but it settles down very fast into a clean soft slightly flowery and musky scent. It sits very close to skin and is perfect for that clean girl aesthetic when you just wanna feel fresh and put together without being to aggressive about it.

Ohh this is a very nice take on a clean white T-shirt scent! It is slightly sweet, but still has a nice twist to it. It smells aquatic, a bit sweet, floral while being demure and harmonious. I am considering a FB of this! Update: It is so weak, it disappears within minutes. So sad :(

It's blanche that doesn't cost you arms and legs, it's softer and lighter without the aldehyde punch although I do love aldehyde this one is more pillowy and cotton-like, ever so slightly soapy, it's lovely

opens kind of sweet and floral, then turns into a soapy scent. fades super quickly on my skin though, let's say it stays for one hour, and projection is kind of weak

Like a freshly laundered shirt without being detergent like. Soft and gentle on the nose. Recommended for those who prefer ‘clean’ fragrances.

A pleasant fresh floral, clean and Spring-like. Doesn’t seem to project much. Hard to dislike - an office perfume

I discovered these perfumes from the site the niche-beauty.com and then I came here to learn more....To make a long story short, I gave in to temptation, I read the notes of each perfume and the reviews below, and I decided to purchase a sample kit but it was not available netheir on the official site nor on niche-beauty.com. So, after I had done all that, I came to the conclusion that, the safest choice would be this one, since all the rest included at least one note that I was afraid of, like the lemon or the eucalyptus, the pine etc. Anyway, I finally ordered a roller ball of it from niche-beauty.com and today I just received it. Once I put it on, it was so powerful, that I started to blame myself for spending 50 euros for such a thing.... Anyway, I gave it some time to mellow down and thank God it became milder but unfortunately it did not WoW me...😞 ...I find it, quite plain and ordinary and most importantly with pathetic performance, so, at least for me, imho, the price of a full bottle is not worthy.

I hoped it was something else with that fhfdtghfsrfvhjgg name and Swedish origin... alas it must be the most generic scent I experienced in a while. I like clean fragrances; lotus and musk are always winners on my skin. Yet this is perfectly boring and sterile. The opening has a prominent berry note and it instantly reminded me of Mora Bella carded sample I had years ago. It also has an early 2000s girly vibe. Like a deodorant I once might have had as a teen. Anyways... well that's what it was supposed to be named: "Anyways..." I'll leave it at that. I have the manufacturer's sample, so I'll probably give it another try when I happen to be super bored, and maybe I will change my mind about it or add something substantial to this review. I did my best and most honest with what it gave me today. Edit: another chance given. I have nothing to add. It gives me nothing.

Smells like soap or detergent but it has an almost sparkling quality, like carbonated water. When I smell this close to the skin there is a slightly sharp note that I can't place. The freesia flower has a really good projection in this fragrance, I can smell it wafting up from my wrist as I type this. Not my personal favorite but interesting nonetheless.

The opening has a light, gentle soapy scent—so subtle it even evokes a watery feeling (though it’s not quite aquatic), very unusual, but it gradually fades into a plain, unremarkable soapy aroma.

Very powdery and floral, clean, ladylike, smells a bit like a supermarket women's deodorant. Not my favorite but I can totally imagine someone wearing this and a long flowy dress.

Fresh laundry. Exactly what I thought it would be. Slightly citrus and floral. Very clean, light, bright. Gently soapy. A little generic and safe, but nicely done.

Clean laundry that was washed with unscented detergent, hanging outside to dry on the line. Bright and sunny, but there are cheaper options for what it is.

I was so excited for this but it smells like something Bath and Body Works would come out with or some kind of household product.

Soft floral, soft musk, aquatic laundry vibe. Nice for hand soap or detergent but not really my kind of fragrance. It doesn't project and it fades very quickly. Perfume for people who don't like perfume. Rather than a waterfall, it's like a still pond with lilies floating.

This smells like Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo to me! The one in the yellow bottle. Definitely a light, clear clean scent. I suppose it does smell like the listed notes, but I don't get Swedish waterfall vibes at all.

I can see this being fresh laundry, but really it smells more like acetone nail polish remover to me

I am trying out the sample set and really enjoy this one. It does have a clean laundry scent, but there’s something about almost all of the björk and berries scents that seems to have a crisp freshness to them. This is not a typical clean scent, there’s a subtle complexity to it that others don’t seem to have (in my opinion). As far as lasting, we all have a tendency to not be able to smell after getting used to it, so when testing, I like to spray on before bed. As I sit here this morning, I smell the lovely clean dry down. And I mainly sprayed on my skin, so it’s for a small amount that got on my pajamas. It lasts well, for many hours!

I cannot stand white musk that veers warm/cloying toward vanilla, almond, cashmeran etc. So I quite enjoy the crisp, clinical, starchy style that this one gives off from the getgo. It smells like a big box of ivory powder soap. Whether or not it lasts long enough or projects loud enough will be up to the individual wearer. B&B scents tend to favor those with sensitive noses who enjoy lighter fare. I get it but I would need this to be cranked up a couple notches to consider buying a full bottle. And lord help me if anyone asks what the name of the perfume I’m wearing is. 3 out of 5.

This opens with a fairly sharp hit of white floral, which isn’t my favorite type of fragrance. It settled very quickly into something much more pleasant to me—sweetly floral, lightly musky, very clean. I was pleasantly surprised to find that instead of giving me a headache, the longer I wore this the more I enjoyed it. I sprayed it once on my wrist and was catching distinct and delightful wafts of it 4-5 hours later. I’m not sure if I’ll buy a full bottle because it’s not quite *me* but it’s really lovely.

When I stumbled upon this gem of a brand this summer, I cant resist to pick one or two selections from them. I decided to bring fragrance oil version of Fjallsjo home with me. It is a freesia forward, calming, soft, musky aquatic fragrance. Not the kind of fragrance I usually pick, but this one is so fresh and perfect for summer! applying this is akin to freshening up oneself in a quiet Swedish lake. fresh, clean, just soaped, kind of skin scent .

If it’s a skin scent that melts with you and also smells clean and like a hug you’re looking for, look no further. It may be that I was searching exactly for a molecular perfume like this one, I fell in love. If you love You by Glossier and Fleur de Peau by Dyptique but you need something softer, rounder, this may be something you want to smell. Your clothes will also smell beautifully. Perfect after a warm shower before going to sleep.

this smells really good when sprayed on clothes. its not a scent i would usually go for but its nice and clean and kinda smells like detergent to me. its soapy and floral. i dont like it as much on skin as i did when i sprayed it on my shirt

Unfortunately my least favourite of the Bjork and Berries discovery set. It comes off like a very faintly musky synthetic chemical. Most of their scents are masterful, and this one sadly is nowhere near the same league.

Poor longevity. But smells really good. Unisex. Skin scent. Around 15 mins max on my skin. Reminds me of Fleur de peau.

Big juicy pears and linens. Reminds me somewhat of the rain. Lovely.
