Zagar

This juice is pretty special. After my initial sample on skin I got a heavy dose of florals. But not your normal flower scent but a bouquet of exotic, juicy florals. This is truly a beautiful, feminine leaning scent but that hardly matters with good perfumery. I get that oriental feel too. The oud is there but it takes a while to appear. I smelled it more as it began to open up more and sat closer to skin. It's not animalic but kind of an ambery oud. This stuff definitely has depth and layers. This may come off cloying so be sure to spray this in the cooler months, maybe spring time too. Looking forward to getting more wearing in. I think I'll save it for the next special occasion! This is much more refined and high end version of Poison Girl Unexpected. Instead of the fleeting ginger note, Zagar has an alluring spicy greenness, that attribute to the strawberry leafs. It’s a good spring / fall addition to a collection. I do find it ridiculously overpriced though. And for that I would give it 7/10

A more wearable version of Xerjoff La Capitale. The fruits are more subtle, and it doesn’t have that off-putting leather note that’s in LC. If oud isn’t your thing, don’t let it turn you away from trying this fragrance, it’s blended well and not a standout note at all. Really nice fragrance that is unisex (that leans feminine) - my only gripe is that it lasts about as long as I can run on a treadmill.

Wearing Zagar, I feel like I'm carrying a secret garden around with me, a blend of mystery and allure that's both intoxicating and grounding. It's a fragrance that announces my presence and lingers long after I've gone, leaving a trail of enchantment in my wake.

This fragrance gives me nothing. I don’t get the fruits. I don’t get oud, vanilla, amber. I can’t give an in depth review because no note stands out in particular. The reviewer below me compares this to La Capitale without oud. You will be highly disappointed purchasing this fragrance listening to that review. This smells like a cheap powdery body splash.
